‘Real News From The Blaze:’ S.E. Cupp Breaks Down Violence Against Women Act

The House passed their version of the Violence Against Women Act reauthorization act yesterday – a move that Rep. Nancy Pelosi slammed as not going far enough. It did not have much of the Senate bill’s offering which seeks to include members of the LGBT community and would allow for Tribal trials of abusers on Native American land regardless of that defendant’s race. House Democrats are painting the House bill as more evidence of the GOP’s “War on Women.” But do these wrung out attacks still hold up? Fourteen female GOP House members wrote a recent column in POLITICO arguing that the “Julia” and “War on Women” campaigns have been pushed by Democrats because women don’t support their real policies.

When Republicans talk about freedom, entrepreneurship, patient-centered health care and fiscal responsibility, most women respond positively. And when Republicans propose policies grounded in those principles — reducing taxes on small businesses, shrinking the deficit through the Ryan plan, and repealing “Obamacare” — women see that it’s the Republican Party that’s advancing their values, not the Democrats.

The Republican Party is the real party of American women. And women have played a huge role in our party’s success. We have a dynamic group of 24 women in the House, including a record nine freshmen. Four of the six women governors today are Republicans. We’re also the only party in the past 25 years to nominate a woman for vice president.

On “Real News” Thursday S.E. Cupp broke down the real issues some have against the Violence Against Women Act and whether “War on Women” accusations hold true:

    Ahhhh……. S. E. let me help you with your conclusion of not understanding why women are drawn to the “wanting to be taken care of” by big government in a post-feminist world. It’s simple actually. Most women (including myself who is a former SVP for a Fortune 500 company…..when that actually meant something) NEVER bought into the whole Feminist Movement. We LIKE for men to treat us as women…..personally and professionally. The men I encountered in business respected my intellect and hard work. I was paid equally by every male superior…..the only time I wasn’t paid fairly was from a female boss actually. Men still had the primary positions at the highest levels and on boards of companies. But that trend was also changing.

    Women want men to be men and women to be women. Most women want a man to nurture, love and protect them. For a man to be partner they can look up to, a good provider as well as good father to their children. Women did not want to be left alone to provide for themselves and their children. The feminist movement did little to actually help women and MUCH to breakdown the family structure and castigate men….many of whom are sick of being castigated.

    Left alone, a woman still wants everything she wanted before. Don’t you find it logical that big government wants to step into that role after they intentionally destroyed American families?

    These lesbian women think they are immune to the mistreatment by the democrats. They will attack as soon as their programs are in place. No matter how butch you look, you are a mockery to men and women. Same with the guy ones. You are playing a game to those in power who will turn on you as soon as they get your votes. They have an excuse to “put you in your place” after they use you up. These democrats play a “broadminded” role, but they will only use your predicament to further their agendas and mock you behind your back and cause you trouble. They know it is wrong, too, but their greed for power will allow them to play up to any and every cause to get where they want. Just so you know. I have seen how people conduct themselves down through the years. When they get a bit comfy in their roles, they will start thinning out the weaker suck ups and then you will see some mad people, but it will be too late. It will be too late to have Justice because to them Justice is a whim. That is why they want to change the Constitution. They want Justice to be their call and not the call of the laws of this land. It is dangerous.

    It would not take too much imagination to think that perhaps all these gays are coming out and those who are just waiting to waylay them are in the shadows. It is like the Muslims want to keep their friends close and their enemies closers. Those naked women and homosexuals are allowing everyone in the nation who are wanting an excuse to kill gays under the Sharia Law to see who and what they are, even to where they are. Those who believe in Jesus Christ will not agree with the sin of homosexuality, but at least we, overall are kind to most people if they are kind to us (keeping in mind turning the cheek is not as easy for some as it is others.) We as Christians know it is a sin but do not use it as an excuse to hurt or kill people. There are enough people using any excuse to hurt or harm other. These Muslims may do any and all sins, especially murder, even of family members and use the excuse to Murder as some form of their belief that they have been shamed. Their vanity is sick. These people are a shame unto themselves to kill their children because they do not like how their children live their lives. In reality this is a spiritual problem and not a problem for murderers to solve. It is an excuse for drunks and bullies to beat and mistreat those who are weaker than they are. This is not going to fly in America.

    Typical rhetoric from the loons who just lost a topic and a name for extensive overreach they wanted to enact. They were willing to exploit women for this cause. These are the same people whose very existence relies on propagating poverty and other crisis they must purposefully engineer to stay in power. Big conflict of interest, although it is strategized in written word over and over and over again.

    There are over 500,000 Illegal Immigrants with criminal backgrounds currently on the FBI’s Wanted Lists. By Obama and his fellow democrats failing to protect our citizens, including women, from these predators they are promoting Violence on Women, Men, and Children.

      These are the votes Obama and Holder are appealing to. They want chaos. Order out of chaos is something they are thinking they can excel by using people to do the dirty work. They want all the fringe groups rioting and costing time and money. The tactics keep the peace keepers and enforcement officers busy with the protestors while draining manpower and taking a financial toll on cities. All the while the Obamites just keep on rolling with their plans to break and enslave the people and use them to support their agendas.

    It’s just funny to me that we have to make law after law after law covering all kinds of “qualified versions” of the term ‘violence’. Isn’t one law covering any type of violence involving malice enough? Once again it’s showing us in Bold Face that we can be divided and conquered every time they do it. We are all people folks. We aren’t women, we aren’t men, we aren’t black, we aren’t white……we are all just people trying to get through life. Unite and be free.

      The most obscene part of the VAWA and one which continues to be re-authorized is the “centerpiece” of this BS legistreason which denies firearms rights to anyone with an Order of Protection placed against them by a “spouse, partner or intimate partner”. She of the perpetually constipated countenance, Pasty Schroeder D-CO (of course) former Congresswoman made sure this part of the Law would cause chaos as spurned spouses and ex lovers of police, military and just average folks got their gun rights yanked based on NOTHING. No one need show any proof, evidence or corroboration to serve someone with an OOP, even if they are hundreds or thousands of miles removed from the “victim”. 18 years later, the only improvements that have been made is that the accused has a right to a hearing within 10 days. Many States and many more Judges reflexively issue OOPs, not knowing or not caring that folks in the gun biz, LE or .mil have their lives turned upside-down based on a mere unproven accusation of some “threat”. It really is an insidious piece of excrement, dressed up as a “Women’s Rights” Law.

    Even more proof that liberalism is a mental disease with no cure……do you honestly believe you can legislate civility toward women. If you think so then I suggest you take a look at the numbers on domestic violence. Heres a snippet. 3-4 million women are beaten EACH YEAR by husbands, ex husbands and lovers. And thats with a law thats already on the books that can put you behind bars if convicted.

    This is just so stupid it is beyond all comprehension. There are plenty of laws….but they are not enforced due to political correctness. Who decides what ‘violence’ is ? To me, barry is commiting acts of violence against the citizens of America each and every day.

      The main agenda for the Progressives (Communists) was to put the USA on the path to Communism. Socialized/Nationalized Health Care is the “KEY” to do this. Everyone on Earth needs medical care at least once in their their life. There just isn’t anymore JFK Democrats left in the Democrat Party anymore.     This is simply another law of appeasement.

    Just like the Domestic Violence Laws, where suppose to protect only women from abusive husbands and boyfriends. It didn’t work, and women get arrested all the time for Domestic Violence….

    The same thing with Hate Crimes, Black people where never suppose to get arrested for Hate Crimes, only White people…. Black people get arrested more for Hate Crimes then Whites.

    Everyone in Government keeps forgetting about the Constitution and that little clause called Equal Protection Under the Law, the laws are the same for everyone….

    Everytime the liberals try this separation of laws stuff, it blows-up in their face…..

      One another thing about the Domestic Violence Laws, Homosexuals are already covered under the law, because of the way the laws are writen. Under the Domestic Violence Laws, in most cases they only require that the person being charged with Domestic Violence, live in the home with victim. The law does not specify if the person commiting the violence is a Husband, Wife, Son, Daughter, Friend and so-on…..

    my protection against violence from men lives in my purse, holster and my gun safe. I do not need anymore laws twisting around. beat a woman if she doesn’t kill you, you go to jail for assault why oh why do we need more laws. how about laws throwing these women in jail that keep going back to these idiots? I am not seriously advocating this it is sarcarsm there are not laws against stupidity.

      HORSECRAZY, Good for you. My wife has her CCL and carries her Glock 17 at all times, and she really knows how to use. While in college she was on a shooting team, and I am retired Army and a former cop. Thanks to my Dad teaching me, I have never failed to fire expert through my careers. We live in a rural area and can set up an impromtu range and practice whenever we want. Furthermore, my wife will not take crap from anybody.
