    For conservative white people, the dominant fear is of someday living without the privilege that comes with whiteness. Polite conservatives defend the primacy of “Western civilization.” More reactionary whites are openly racist about the threat that non-white peoples pose to “our way of life.” Both versions defend the existing distribution of wealth and power, even though many of the working-class and poor whites who endorse such views have access to precious little wealth or power. Race is used by white elites today, just as it was in the nation’s formative years, to drive a wedge between people who would otherwise come together to challenge those elites. Divide-and-conquer strategies, it seems, never go out of style.

      I am a white conservative guy. Non whites are no threat to my way of life, they are part of my life.
      I have no access to wealth or power other than what I create. Race is used by elites of all races
      to divide us. Elites of any race or creed are the problem. Common man is not the creator of our current
      troubles.

      Come again? WTF are you talking about? I’ve worked for two bosses who were black, both were executives on Wall Street. Privilege comes from hard work and dedication, not “whiteness”! Do everyone a favor and keep your moronic opinions to yourself. It’s because of idiots like you that the Tea Party is being slammed left and right.

    ATTENTION BLAZE -
    Please tell Amy Holmes that Mr. Kelly from Shorewood High School says hi:-). He’s my brother in law and taught Amy in Honors English Class. He wanted me to tell her that of all the years he taught (he’s retired now) that 3 students stood out and Amy was the top of his list. He knew that someday she was going to be famous:-)

    People, just vote, whoever the winner is, vote for that person and get other conservative patriots to the polls or have them request absentee ballots.       Sorry but, hell no. Real members of the tea party will vote on principal, not just wasting their vote on getting rid of the guy who who gave us government health care to replace him with the guy who gave massachusetts Romney care.

      You really expect tea party members to stick with the republican party based on what hacks from Glenn becks company say; Because the hacks at freedom works are throwing in with Romney? If we only voted on party lines, what the hell would we stand for? We would go back to replacing one big government loving Buffoon with another every 4/8 years.

      And what do we achieve by supporting romney? More unnecessary overseas wars? More wasted tax dollars on more wasteful big government spending? More of the same old crap from the same old money grubbing politicians?

      Sorry buddy I will probably not vote republican this election. Between Romney and santorum, I can’t decide which I hate more. Here’s hoping citizens wake up from their long rest and start supporting a real tea party candidate who will shrink government, lower taxes, and get our fiscal house in order.

      BTW, Mittens(Romney) is not that guy

    freedom works must have been presured to say this. this was not an endorsement of any sort – more of a strategic change. this is not news but somebody obviously pushed them to change their position and make the announcement.

    probably the same people who told jeb to get out there and endorse romney

      You are mistaken. After McCain, its not going to happen again.

      I will be voting for Ron Paul. Romney will not get the Paul supporters and without them Obama gets four more. If you want to get rid of Obama hope for a brokered convention and a win for Paul. He is the only one that has a real contrast against Obama.

You can say there are a lot of you, but just judging from the blaze it’s the same few all the time saying so. The rest of us want Obama out, I‘d vote for Glenn’s shoe before I would let my vote go to Obama.
