‘Real News From The Blaze’: Voter ID Law Debate

“The report found that there are about 1.8 million dead people listed as active voters. Some 2.8 million people have active registrations in more than one state. And 12 million registrations have errors serious enough to make it unlikely that mailings based on them will reach voters.”
This is from the NY Times of all sources. This is the reason we need real election reform.
Take away the cost argument by having states provide picture ID free for people who are currently on any form of public assistance, to include a copy of their birth certificate ONE time. Allow the parties to provide transportation to the state offices to accomplish that.
Pass laws that require a copy of the death certificate to go to the elections department and purge the dead people each month. Require surrender of one driver’s license (and voter registration) to obtain a license in another and require states who issue licenses to notify the original state of residence to purge that voter from the rolls. This is not rocket science and these practices continue to occur for ONLY one reason, voter fraud.

“One employee told the FBI that ACORN headquarters is “wkg [working] for the Democratic Party.”

According to one report, an ACORN employee said the purpose of “[f]raudulent cards” was “[t]o cause confusion on election day to keep polls open longer,” “[t]o allow people who can’t vote to vote,” and “[t]o allow to vote multiple times.”

The Obama Youth guilty of voter fraud? Why that’s just not possible. No, we’ve given it considerable thought and it’s simply not possible.

      Except that it is.

As you may know, Minnesota has a goofy law that allows any Tom, Dick or Abdul off the street to vote as long as someone else comes along and vouches for them. Yeah, it’s probably the dumbest election law in America, but this is Minnesotistan we’re talking about, so don’t be too damn surprised.

Students at the University of Minnesota, students associated with B. Hussein Obama’s “Organizing For America,” now stand accused of –- prepare to be shocked — vouching for people they didn’t really know. This is, of course, a felony in Minnesotistan.

In Harris County, Texas, the voter registrar admitted that 20 percent of voter registration forms submitted by liberal activist Houston Votes had problems. Election whistleblowers from True the Vote are now being investigated by the Obama Justice Department and have been slapped with an ethics complaint by the Texas Democratic Party and a left-wing billionaire George Soros-funded group called Texans for Public Justice.

A retired Bell police sergeant claimed in a lawsuit filed this week that off-duty Bell police officers in the 2009 election distributed absentee ballots to voters and told them which candidates to select.

The allegations are contained in a lawsuit filed by James Corcoran, who says he was forced out of his job for informing authorities about the officers’ actions as well as for a variety of other actions that he says top city leaders did not like.

It is easy enough to take the obituaries and list the names of those deceased who were of voting age when death occurred and go into the polling place in which that person had resided and vote using their name.
Similarly, it is possible for a person to register a name in one voting district, go on to another voting district and register under another name, and continue doing so until tired of it. To vote all they would have to do is remember which name and address they used at each and they could, theoretically, vote in as many locales as they could get to in a given day. Unless they used a surrogate- which would be just as possible.
The only way to actually stop fradulent voting practices would be to have a photo ID that was scanned into a data base which would prevent the same photo ID from being used twice. A second way would be a national data base of retinal scans- no two people have the same retinas. Or an electronic thumb print working the same way.
It would only stop people who didn’t register their retina or their thumb print. And that could be done at any police station or postoffice in the country.
But don’t expect it to happen. Liberals, Democrats, and their ilk don’t WANT a fair and impartial voting system. They’d find themselves out of office after 1 term, and many of their supporters in jail for attempting to commit voter fraud.
Make it a serious felony with a permanent prohibition from future voting should it be committed.

Want to know which party wishes to use voter fraud to get their politicians elected, look for the ones who don’t want voter IDs. It will be harder for them to get dead people, senile people, people who vote more than once, felons and any other fraudulent votes counted. The stuffing ballot boxes in Florida did not work. They can still get votes counted from ineligible people or people who vote early and often.

Whenever voter ID laws are proposed Liberals go ballistic. They don’t actually believe that voter ID laws discourage voting and disenfrancise minority groups. They only seek to cover the actual reason they protest those requirements. Voter ID laws disenfrancise several core democrat voter groups: illegal voters, nonexistent voters, felon voters, and dead voters. This last group, dead voters, is of paramount importance; it can be counted on to vote in every election, and to always vote Democrat. When you consider that it is comprised of nearly two million voters, you can see how vital it is that Democrats discourage ID laws at all costs.

Maybe I’m just too stupid to understand, but if a person is insufficiently bright or ambitious to get picture ID why should they be allowed to vote? Most places give picture ID for no charge, but of course if you have to have picture ID it makes voting early and often a lot harder. That means that a lot of votes for Demorats won’t be made, which I guess means that it’s racist to not let people vote multiple times.

If people want to vote, elections aren’t kept a big secret, they should be able to register before election day and get photo ID. Otherwise I‘m a little suspicious of them and how many times they’re voting.

If a picture ID is to tough for a person to get. Then I say we need to allow lumps of ectoplasm to vote with no questions asked.
That would be an absolute mockery of our right to vote. With a right comes obligations. The obligation to have suitable id recognized by the state involved, equal under the law. Ease of obtaining is regulated by
going to DMV getting a voter Picture ID card. No cost but must have proof of birth.
If this process is to difficult! Do you really want that person to vote on a complicated issue? I don’t.

During the republican primaries here in FL a local TV station reported that that although they had not served in jury duty because they were not citizens, they were registered and voted. That is voter fraud. How many others in the rest of the country do this ? Is anyone checking the voter applications? There is no E-Verify to check if a voter application is duplicated within a state or in the country and if the person signing is even a citizen.

Only a true racist would see racism in a requirement for a photo ID to vote! Anyone who is eligible to vote can get a photo ID with little (or no) cost or effort. As others have commented, we need a photo ID for gazillions of other reasons; I really do not understand why anyone doesn’t have one.

The BOGUS argument that voter ID is the Republican way to “suppress” votes makes me sick! The ID’s are FREE to anyone who can not afford one. I saw this young Hispanic woman complaining about how she has to get food first.. SMOKING and driving a pretty nice car. HELLO? If you can afford cigarettes, you can afford one stupid photo ID. You need that to buy your CIGARETTES, don’t you? This is all about the left and their ability to continue the voter FRAUD. Why would ANYONE object to showing an ID to insure the integrity of our most IMPORTANT right? Our constitution says you have the right to vote IF you are a CITIZEN of the USA… so PROVE IT!

The democrats argument here is that getting an id is an inconvenience and they don’t want to stand in the lines. Great argument! Better argument (and probably more to the point) she then says “Isn’t a LITTLE voter fraud worth enfranchising more voters”

This is TYPICAL DEMOCRAT refusal to be responsible citizens.

The states gave rights to the fed and can take them away…Obama has NO RIGHT to tell Texas what their laws regarding voter identification can or cannot be. Texas should sue Obama for abuse of the court system.
The fact is,, that adults need id to:
cash a paycheck OR a welfare check.
    buy alcohol or cigarettes
get into an R rated movie
    open a utility account
    open a bank account
receive money from western union (rules require govt issued id)
So all day long a person would need id to prove who they are and if they are old enough, if questioned about it. I think the only ones protesting would be the ones that would benefit from voter fraud.

The U.S. Supreme Court addressed this issue in 2008 with the state of Indiana and found in the favor of the state. So if Mr. Holder and Mr. Obama are filling suit again it is just to be able to allow non-voter ID for this years election. the anti-voter ID issue to the United Nations Human Rights Council. Members of this council include,
numerous dictatorial countries in Africa, also, China, Cuba and Russia. Who better to decide this issue then the experts on voter fraud, voter intimidation and suppression . Since the left is fighting this issue so aggressively, you have to wonder what they are afraid of ?

The UN has no place in this. Taking this argument to the UN is declaring the United States does not have jurisdiction on this matter. It is a ploy to say the UN not the United States has authority over the citizens of the individual states. It is defiance of State and U.S. law. It is an attempt to deny the right of sovereignty of the United States and States rights upon which this nation was created. It is an attempt to deny our autonomy as U.S. citizens. Now is the time for all Americans to say NO, this is my country and state to the U.N. you need to acknowledge you have no authority in this matter.

It seem to me there is a lot of Illegals collecting welfare, foodstamps and maybe medical bennies and when a person applies for these bennies the welfare departments hand the applicants a “VOTER REGISTRATION CARD” or atleast in Oregon they do. Makes me wonder how many illegals are already registered to vote AND would this make the Welfare Dept. guilty of voter fraud? Just a question.

When I go to vote, and I mean everytime, I am met by a cadre of old ladies that pounce on me for my IDENTIFICATION.. And I mean pounce. There would be no way in hell that they would let me vote without scouring my id and photograph and carefully comparing it to my white face. Yes that’s right. Only whitey has to show his fricking ID . All others get passes because of their color. What? Ask a young black man or Hispanic for his ID? “Why you dissin’ me mane?” It is the ONLY way that they can compete as a group with Whitey. Lower standards for them, higher standards for Whitey.

Holder seems to believe that the only question on the ballot will be who to vote for for potus. Well Eric, it is not only important that each person is a ‘legal voter’ it is also important that each person vote in the proper place. Each state…and each county …has many other items on the ballot. We will choose Senators and Congressmen but we will also vote on such things as raising the sales tax, or raising property taxes, or who will be school superintendant….these are important issues and I do not want people voting to raise my property tax if they do not live in my county, and I do not want them voting for president of the US if they are not citizens.
