‘Real News From The Blaze:’ What Would You Demand Both Candidates Address This Campaign?

The general election presidential campaign is in full swing and the “Real News” panel is hopeful that the “dog-days” of main stream media coverage and campaign spin have run their course, and the candidates can now discuss the real issues. S.E. Cupp said that voters should have their demands ready for each candidate, and in that spirit, the panel each suggested the issue they are most hopeful both candidates address this campaign.

Cupp is hopeful each candidate addresses how he plans to take on “taxmageddon,” the nickname for the dreadful $500 billion in tax breaks set to expire all at once at the end of this year–hitting American households with an average tax increase of $3,800 — if Congress doesn’t act.

Andrew Wilkow is fed up with not only the wording used to describe the “Bush Tax Cuts” set to become the “Obama Tax Increases,” but also Mitt Romney’s failure to thus far address how to deal with Social Security.

“The program’s over, it’s bloodless,” commented Wilkow.

Unsurprisingly, The Blaze‘s National Security Editor Buck Sexton is eager to hear each candidate’s foreign policy doctrine and how they view the United States’ role in the rest of the world. Amy Holmes would like to know what are the guiding principles of each candidate, and how they will use them to govern. Will Cain wants to hear plans to address tax policy; each candidate’s long-term vision of the tax code, medium-term plans to achieve their goals, and how they will address the immediate issue of “taxmageddon.”

    I would like to see both of them hooked up to a lie detector before any questions are asked. Then ask only yes or no questions, such as “do you understand the constitution of the united states of america, and all it’s amendments?”
    “do you support article II, section 1?“ ”do you support article I, section 8?” and so on.

    I would ask that they discuss the Constitution, i.e., the Electoral College and the 12th Amendment. I would ask that they discuss the two party system and its inability to come up with suitable candidates for President. I would ask that they read to America this book:

    Out of control spending, border fence, national voter ID, term limits, consumption tax, break off from federal reserve by issuing our own currency. Nobama care.

    That’s a good start.

    After that gets rolling, find out who is behind the nomination of and failure-to-vet an illegible candidate. Prison time at the very least for the partisan traitors. Also, overturn everything done by the ineligible usurper.

    you can demand whatever you want but the republicans (you guys) have already crowned mitt romney the nominee without making him promise or give lip service to small government. Mitt romney has zero incentive to talk about constitutional conservatism and he is now going after moderates and independents.

    all you people who supported mitt romney in the primary are to blame for this

      green energy – mitt romney at various points in his political life has believed in global warming (& carbon tax)

    I would include Congressman/Dr. Ron Paul in the discussion.

    Questions:

    1) Have you read the entire US Constitution and the Bill of Rights? If so, when?
    2) Have your read the duties of the US presidency as stated in the US Constitution? Can you tell us what those limited obligations are?
    3) Within the framework of the limited duties of the presidency, what would you do to address concerns with recent laws that appear to be unconstitutional?
    4) Wise American people live on a budget, what budget do you think is acceptable for running the White House and those who reside there?
    5) In an effort to reduce the national debt which give US departments or agencies would you work to dissolve?

      isnt that the point of a primary??? why didnt the republican establishment ask those questions to ron paul AND mitt romney

      ron paul’s answers would blow the rest of the candidates away. perhaps that is why the questions were not asked

    I demand Obama, and Romney address what is so great about abortions? What is so awesome about killing babies while they are still in the wombs? I demand Obama and Romney address what is so great about gay marriage? How can two men love each other when their entire lives are based on each others buttholes? I demand Obama, and Romney address healthcare. How can you have entrepreneurial health care, the best overcoming the worst, when you have Romney/Obamacare? I demand a third choice, a conservative choice, the Conservative Party, and hope America can wake up from this nightmare of socialist vs progressive. Unfortunately the sheep will go and pull the lever for Romney thinking they are making a difference. And no Ron Paul is not the solution. He would end this country faster then both of these guys.

    I don’t want to hear or see Obama again for the rest of my life.
    For those that have done their homework, we already know what we need. NOTHING he could say would change our minds – and they have confirmed it by selecting their newly selected campaign slogan: “Forward”:
    “The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,”….

    The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

    As for Repub. nominee – I demand they speak the truth about Obama and warn how he would take this country down – using facts, sound bites, his past, policies, etc. instead of only speaking about the economy (& saying “he’s a nice guy). Not enough for the uninformed.
    I’m concerned about the Fed also & other issues – but it doesn’t matter if he is a patriot and not a Communist. Bumper sticker for those that don’t like Romney: AT LEAST HE’S NOT A COMMUNIST

    There are too many questions to ask, but I guess I would ask: How will you restore the United States Constitution to its original intent and hence preserve our liberty and individual rights? obama may not be able to answer that question, as he doesn’t believe in the original intent of the Constitution, but I would love to expose him on this subject in front of millions of people.
