‘Real News from The Blaze’: Why Are Human Rights Violations Only Opposed by the White House on a Case-by-Case Basis?

While the current news on North Korea may be focused on their futile attempts at nuclear proliferation, there seems to be a lack of attention from the Obama administration to the human rights violations in the far-eastern nation. Mitt Romney has bemoaned that North Korea’s defiance of the west is a clear indication that the policy of the administration to attempt new engagement with the insubordinate nation is a failure.

It’s been nearly two months since the State Department missed its statutory deadline to release human rights reports, something they claim is because “the Secretary wants to personally roll out the reports due to the importance she places on human rights.”

Should there be any delay in such reports as massive human rights violations have occurred and been receiving an increased level of attention in Syria? Wouldn’t this be the perfect time for the US State Department to address human rights? This administration seems to have a number of different standards on human rights. While Libya was held to one standard, Syria is receiving another. As America has avoided speaking out on human rights, the instability around the world appears to be on the rise.

On ‘Real News’ Friday, Buck Sexton argued that it is easy to complain about human rights violations going on in North Korea, but more difficult to enact effective policy to solve the issue. “As long as China doesn’t want to do anything, there isn’t much we can do” Sexton said in frustration with the geo-political arrangements that make it difficult for the United States to act.

On the broader issue of human rights and military intervention, Will Cain brought attention to the difficulties in defining what actions, beyond the obvious, constitute human rights violations.

“Is it our job to be the police of human rights throughout the world,” Matt McCall went on to ask, while recognizing the difficulties of dealing with this issue. “I don’t know.”

For the past three generations or so, there have been no slaves. The generations now have nothing to do with what people (their own people traded them and the Dutch who first brought them to America.) did then. Why would anyone profile by todays standards when everyone is having the same problems with their own homes and children? Farakan, Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, Holder and the like are the ones behind racial unrest. They are the dividers of our cuntry. As for Farakhan and his black azzed mongoloids wanting to breed with white girls. Who would want one those less evolved nasty things to touch them. If white girls want to date outside their race, then they are considered trash by the blacks as well as the whites. It is not normal, but their little children cannot help it. I personally would not want to be with someone outside my race. We have nothing outside of being human beings in common. I do not feel comfortable, nor do they around families of other races as it takes to have good relations with inlaws. I just do not believe it is best for people to do this. Farakhan does not care about black people. He is not black. He looks more like a dunes man. He is not one of our American Black people, even if he somehow has citizenship. He is not of us. Neither is Obama, or Holder. Jesse Jackson is, but he is a black porcine who wants to make out like he is a “reverand” so the blacks will pay more heed to him. He is a liar and deceiver. Jesse Jackson is not Martin Luther King.

Thats a really easy question to answer. The enitire upper level of the DOJ is black racist and is a travesty of MLK Jr’s dream of a color blind society. For these avowed racist to be mentioned in the same breath as MLK Jr’s legacy is a sacrilage.

Unfortunately. People like Holder spit on the legacy of Martin Luther King. Perhaps when this administration stops violating the human rights of George Zimmerman, it will be in a position to evaluate human rights elsewhere in the world.

In the case of Syria, Obama’s handler , Putin said Neyet .. in the case of N. Korea the Chinese leaders said no. This administration is worse than the previous ones it get their foreign policy from Russia and China. Not that previous administrations ignored Human Rights but at least they did not openly kiss the asses of foreign leaders.

Hasn’t it always been this way? All through the Cold War we would support any kind of a dictator except a Communist one as long as he could clamp down on a country that might otherwise end up in the opposing camp. In Uzbekistan they boil people, but they hated the Taliban and they were on our side in the Afghan War, so we turn a blind eye.

The question is should the United States act in our own best interests? We should when it is moral, according to Judeo Christian values. If you remove those values, as the Marxists are determined to do, who and what determines “human rights”? Unfortunately we can not save the world when we are having such a hard time saving ourselves. Our enemies have succeeded in weakening us, and it is becoming harder to speak with clout against those countries that depend on a lack of human rights for their very existence.

And this is precisely the issue in the black community. Black minister and head of the Brotherhood Organization for a New Destiny Jesse Lee Peterson alluded to this when he said that the goal of racial hustlers such as Jesse Jackson is to keep black people angry so that they won’t be able to think clearly. Yet this “Jacksonizing” of youth is now endemic in the black community. Too many black children are weaned on ideas such as “The white man is keeping you down,“ ”The white man has oppressed you,“ and ”A black man has no place in America.” They may hear such sentiments from their parents, from Reverend Wrights in churches, from friends, from music and popular culture — and even in school (read here). The result is that they view whites through colored glasses, seeing bad intentions and Caucasian conspiracies where none exist. Hey, that’s just the way white people are.

That silence comes from fear of offending Islam, no matter how egregious and hateful the actions of a significant number of its followers become and no matter how deeply those actions offend our civilized norms. In the case of President Obama, it undoubtedly comes from his administration’s deep-seated policy of encouraging Islamists, specifically the Muslim Brotherhood. It reminds me of nothing so much as the 1930s, when the appeasers in Britain and here in our own country reacted with the same indifference while Hitler armed his legions for conquest and ethnically cleansed Germany’s Jews. http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/04/silent_scream_the_sudan_ethnically_cleanses_its_christians.html

Your analysis is excellent. Ad to it that “whites” have bent over backwards to elevate black people of this country, sacrificed positions they have EARNED to make places for blacks that have NOT EARNED them, only to have them spit in our faces, denigrate our country, and completely ignore the idea of education and competition. In fact, they have turned the idea of equality on it’s ear. Those blacks that did not drink the koolaide, that seized the opportunities and competed fairly are diminished by those that continue to play the victim and want to be more than equal and fed endlessly with dollars and privileges by the government.

Simple really, because the leftist postion has absolutely nothing to do with “human rights”. Human Rights come from God. To the leftist, it is all about usurping the power of God so that the hu-man may rule and reign and grant or retract rights.

Without a Supreme Authority, no rights are secure from the whims of tyrannts – me

I agree. In order to condemn you have to have a standard from which to form a contrast. The left have no higher standard then themselves. The left has no standards, they never condemn anyone else’s lack of standards, so they can never be accused of hypocrisy.
They will scream hypocrisy at the first hint of a conservative, or Christian stepping the slightest toe anywhere near the line. But that is politics and their feigned moral outrage has nothing to do with any real offense, it’s just part of the political play book.

Why would the WH come out against something like Human Rights Violations, when the Liberals would obviously love to be doing nasty thing to anyone who isn’t kissing the @$$ of President Obumble?

If they did something like that, it would make them duplicitous liars!

But the WH and the liberal jerk who support The One, have forgotten or ignored the fact that most totalitarian regimes don’t have to contend with a citizenry holding millions of guns and billions upon billions of rounds of ammunition.

I don’t think this WH will get the future for America that they want. What they want, what they get and what we need might be miles apart. And the future of all of us may be measured in seconds not days or months and it may well paid for in lead, not gold or silver .

This isn’t all that hard to figure out. Authoritarians generally believe you have no right to self-defense. This has been expressly voiced by the U.N. This is one of the undertones to the Martin/Zimmerman story. And this is not a right or left issue. Recall big R lion Peter King’s knee-jerk proposal to ban firearms in the hands of private citizens if & when a govt. potentate might be present. King uttered this after the Gabby Gifford et al. shooting.
Do you really think our govt. wants to go around saying other govts. should be overthrown because citizens are being used, abuse, ignored, what have you? It‘s not like they’d want a dose of their own medicine. Lip service aside, authoritarians generally can all agree on one thing: The little people need to know their place.
You’re also getting into the sticky realm of self-determination. N. Korea may be a crap hole… but it’s a crap hole that has convinced its people that N. Korea is the best damn crap hole on Earth. Replace N. Korea with any Muslim ruled country of your choice. If people wanna be ruled by despots & zealots, who are we to say, “Nope. We won’t allow it.”
And I gotta ask, “So what?” I‘m sick to death of this idiot’s suicide pact that we must save the world from itself. Some people don’t wanna be saved, just left alone.
We need to worry about our own house. With moves to dismiss both the 1st & 2nd Amendment by our own govt., I don’t care about the plight of Crapistan & the like.

What America, and all of the West really, need to do is beginning pushing hard against Islam purely from the standpoint of human rights. The biggest right that is denied in Islam is the right to freedom of conscience, that is, people are forced into being a Muslim and they aren’t allowed to leave, there is a death penalty for leaving Islam. This is the main human rights violation that should be exposed and fought but everyone is aware of all of the many other lesser rights that are also denied or abused with regard to Islam both on Muslims themselves and those of other religions who live in areas with a lot of Muslims. And this human rights violating aspect of Islam could be the basis in the long run of denying Islam entry into the West.

Islam appeals to authoritarians. Thinking govt. will deal with it as a plague is like asking an arsonist to organize your gas cans and paint thinners. Attempts will be made to use Islam… even as the useful idiots are consumed by it.
