‘Real News From The Blaze:’ Wisconsin Liberals Start Pointing Fingers as Walker Recall Looks Unlikely

As Gov. Scott Walker enjoys a comfortable lead in polls before the Wisconsin recall election, leaders in the state’s unions have expressed frustrations with the DNC for a late start on the purse strings putting them at a decided disadvantage before polls open week after next. The election will without a doubt be watched by legislators across the country interested in, or already in the process of, applying reforms in their state similar to those carried out by Walker. The result could also be a bellwether for the presidential match-up in the increasingly purple state this November.
The internal fallout among Wisconsin progressive groups and broader national political implications of the Wisconsin recall election were a topic of discussion during “Real News” Friday.
After breaking down the friction between Democrats and current polling in the state, Will Cain asked what this election tells us about the Democratic Party message this November.
“I think quietly, a lot of people like these reforms in Wisconsin,” commented Andrew Wilkow. Guest panelist Gordon Chang said “this was politics from the very beginning.”

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 7:50amTypical leftists – costing their fellow residents additional money because they’re bottom-feeding, losers. It’s just disappointing and shameful that this process even had to get THIS far – it says quite a lot about the low character of 40-plus percent of Wisconsin residents.
I am so thankful I never subscribed to the liberal ideology – ever!

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 9:38amIf I was a Wisconsin teacher who was in danger of losing my job because of the unions and then had Governor Walker not only deal with the issue, but keep the taxes at the same level, my choice in the voting booth would be a no-brainer. If I was a state employee who had to work on cleaning up that massive mess in the State Capitol after the protestors left, my choice in the voting booth wouldn’t be that difficult. If I was an elderly Wisconsin resident living on either a fixed income or retirement and wondering how I was going to pay more in taxes and still buy food, it would be an extremely easy choice in the voting booth.
These are things worth thinking about. However, it is also important to remember there are other people on that recall ballot. Hopefully, the “good” ones will coast on Walker’s coat tails and the “bad” ones will fall by the wayside.

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 5:52pmI’d be damned if I ever voted for anything based on my paycheck – that’s about as shameful as it can get. That‘s why we’re in the situation we’re in – nobody has any character or spine.
I am sick and tired of coddling losers – those that feel they aren’t good enough to survive the real world, so they look to the public sector to take care of them – at my expense. I’m really tired of it – damned tired of it. Have some respect for this country and your fellow citizens for God’s sakes!

Posted on May 29, 2012 at 12:55amThey do these things to help break America financially. They are attacking in any and every way they can from within. The expense and tying up courts are all a part of their programs that advance agendas against the American people. There are many, many facets to their programs that are from the financial, the streets, the Unions, the teachers (who are paid plenty,) The courts being over utilized, the recalls, the cheating and intimidation of the vote, the children causing problems in schools that makes news, the jumping on any and all causes and bandwagons, the scenes, the ursurping of laws and inciting of riots. The lies, slander and deceit put forth. It is all part of the whole ball of wax. The demoralizing of the troops and underfunding them, the promoting of gays and protecting of criminals, the denials of Justice and stacking the U.S. Supreme Courts and State Supreme Courts. The erasing of Christ in in form from schools, public buildings, attempting to from the hearts and minds of the young and old. They have got it all going at once. Like I said earlier, they never factored in God. They cannot use God in their program, they have false teachers and preachers, but God does not side with liars and sinners. They have lost before they started for their whole agenda is a lie from hell.

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 7:00amHere in Chicago On the south side if you go to McDonalds to buy a hamburger and a coke you must present picture identification if you pay with a Visa. That’s for a crummy little burger and drink. Let‘s ask Bobby Rush or any other democrats why picture ID shouldn’t be presented when voting!!! Let’s ask them why voter fraud is not just as possible as purchasing fraud must be for a lousy hamburger and drink!

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 9:54amI live in a Democratic state and we’ve had voter ID for a long time. However, getting someone off the voter rolls is really hard. When my mother died in 2008, we discover my father, who had died in 2002 was still on the voter lists. I took a copy of the death certificates to the Registrar of Voters and the woman who greeted me at the counter was someone that was at both my mother‘s and my father’s funeral! Unbelievable!!!!!
Even so, I had to go to the Tax Assessor’s to have one of the clerks, who I’d gotten to know during the probate process, verify that I was in fact one of the heirs of the estate since I don’t usually carry copies of the will in my pocket. It was only then, with a copy of the Tax bill for the property with my name on it, my driver’s license (which she questioned since I live in a different town), both death certificates and the Tax Assessor‘s clerk standing next to me did they take my parents’ names off the list. I would think that once they saw the death certificates that would be it. I happen to live locally, but wondered what would happen for someone whose family was out of state. I guess those people remain on the rolls forever.

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 11:21amI was my brother-in-laws came to live with us and I became his caregiver after he was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away in 2007. I noticed he was still on the voter list in 2010. I brought that up to the people at our voting center and they said it would probably be removed before the next election. Guess what? I received a voting card for him a few weeks ago so he’s still on the list. I want to find out if someone votes using his name. Does anyone know how I can find out if my deceased brother-in-law voted in 2012….(by someone else)?

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 3:51amIn these hard times Unions and liberals cost that state millions trying to disenfranchise the voters who elected Walker. They need to scrub the idea of ‘recall’ as it was perverted here by unions.

Posted on May 26, 2012 at 1:37amYou would think with as much invested in this election the Republican party could afford to place extra monitoring of the early voting going on in Madison and Milwaukee.
I can see no other way to ensure the reduction of voter fraud than voter id. If a person registers to vote they get a picture ID card that goes with it. The voter ID card should have their picture on it and should also be used as a legal ID for those who do not need or have a driver’s license.
There is nothing more disturbing to me than the fact in our Republic we would have election outcomes changed by voter fraud. To me this is unpatriotic and displays the pure evil that the progressive socialists agenda has become.

Posted on May 25, 2012 at 9:07pmBe careful of assuming it is a “comfortable lead”. I am weary of headlines such as that because it is designed to lull people into a sense that their vote is not really necessary. The unions will be busing in dead people from Chicago, the college kids that live in other states will miraculously have voted. This is not a given people.

Posted on May 25, 2012 at 8:44pmThis is THE moment the left has been planning for…for generations. This is the perfect storm. A Walker loss means unadulterated commie socialism will be crammed down the throats of Americans. I expect Walker to lose. I want him to win but there are too many corrupt forces in play with the Wisconsin election. Just so I’m clear, if people don’t like their current governor, they can get some people to sign a piece of paper to force a recall? Republicans need to remember this liberal stunt. What if BHO gets reelected? Can America force a recall?

Posted on May 25, 2012 at 8:30pmThe democrats have a massive get out the vote campaign going on here in Wisconsin. Early voting is taking place right now. Busloads of people are being brought in by a very dedicated groups of people. In the last two days 90,000 people have early voted in just Milwaukee alone. The other push is occurring in Madison. I don’t know the numbers there, but if they reflect Milwaukee in any way there may be problems with the vote. Some of the votes will be fraudulent because of the voting laws and a loop hole has been opened. If the Republicans do not get out to vote because they are overconfident this election may not turn out the way the poles indicate.
