Rep. Allen West Learns the Trick to Pumping Gas Into a Jaguar
Palm Beach Post:

WEST PALM BEACH — U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, pumped $3.969-a-gallon gas at a Chevron station this afternoon and said more domestic energy production, including more drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, would eventually bring down prices.

Noting that the price of gas has more than doubled since President Obama took office, West said the administration isn’t doing enough to lease areas for drilling offshore and on land.

The average retail price for a gallon of regular gas was $1.78 in January 2009, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, which says the average price this week is $3.96.

Obama on Saturday called for measures to increase drilling for oil and natural gas, but West said he’s skeptical.

“The president needs to be more proactive than reactive Actions speak louder than words.”

During his gas-pumping duties, Rep. West did learn a thing or two about the touch required to pump gas into a Jaguar:

I’m pretty sure that high gas prices only matter when we have a Republican president. Or so I’ve been told.

      To Blackman:

Second that! Rep. Lt. Col. West is the only serious candidate I can see for president. He is the right candidate on so many levels . . . he believes in the exceptionalism of America, the power of the people and the relevance of the Constitution to our Republic today. He recognizes Obummer for the evil little puppet that he is–the tool of Totalitarian a***oles who would rob all of us of our rights and liberty and only care about getting control of everything and power over everybody. If they get their way and pillage the wealth of America and re-distribute it to every other country of the world, will the world be a better place? I think not! Most of that wealth, I am sure, would find its way into the pockets of our ‘rulers’ and the poor of the world would never see it–there would just be a lot more of them when all Americans are forced to join them,

I sure hope people wake up and realize that Obummer and his masters are EVIL and to follow them is to go willingly down the road like sheep to your own destruction.

The biggest problem with this Presidential election (just like every other one) is that no-one REALLY knows the candidates. We “know” what the media wants us to know. They have labelled each candidate and told us who is electable and who is not. They have almost complete control over who gets elected because we act like sheep and don’t do any of the work ourselves. I am guilty of the same thing. I thought I was a conservative until I spent many many hours over the past few years researching American history and the conservative movement. Now I’m a real conservative and no-one in the media (not Glenn, Rush, Hannity, or anyone else) is going to control my vote ever again. I am voting for the only REAL CONSERVATIVE that is running…Ron Paul. If he doesn’t get the nomination, I’m writing him in. No more votes for the fake conservatives.

      Oathkeeper,
Not only are Dr. Pauls positions completely in line with the Constitution, but they are also completely in line with his strong Christian faith. I completely understand your anger with Islam, but if you set aside your anger for a minute and think of our foreign policy as the father of the Constitution (Jefferson) and our Savior (Jesus Christ) would make it. I think you might see what guides Ron Paul. He makes no decisions with emotion.

No, islam is not a religion, so Ron is wrong there, it‘s a totalitarian ideology and until he’s sees that truth, he’ll lose. That’s just the facts, everything else I like about him, but that one thing is a BIG deal-breaker.

      Oathkeeper,
It sounds like you are looking for a President who is going to obliterate the entire Muslim population. No one is going to do that. Not even Allen West. Ron Paul is for a non-aggresive foreign policy. That doesn‘t mean he won’t protect us. Just the opposite. Our military will be here, protecting our shores. If we are attacked by terrorists, we will pursue and apprehend those responsible. If we are attacked by another sovereign nation, our Congress will declare war and our military will put the fear of God into our attackers. That is the foreign policy of our founders and of Ron Paul. It is the correct one. Sorry you disagree.

No, I‘m looking for a President who won’t take any c r a p from these animals and someone who says it openly without mincing words. I would be happy to have Paul doing anything else in this proposed administration though as I think he would be great to go after the Fed. I‘m not for genocide if that’s what you think? I’m for attacking and destroying anyone who attacks us and our way of life, foreign or domestically and it should be a strong attack, not this weak c r a p we see today.

      Do not argue with OATHKEEPER

The guy is obviously constantly tuned into FOX news, and does no individual thinking, or reasoning when he speaks his opinion.

He claims that Ron Paul is unelectable (I might add, this entire premise is based on the media saying that) but claims that Allen West is electable, even though he is not running.

He also wants to put the constitution on the pedestal UNLESS it protects Islam, then he of course is against it.

If you disagree with him on facts, and approach him with those facts he dismisses you, simply because he cannot logically argue what he is saying, because what he implies is propaganda.

Him, along with a lot of brainwashed Blazers, will eventually lead to this countries demise simply because they refuse to vote on principle, and yet wish to vote on things that give them temporary emotional satisfaction.

Furthermore, he has created a label called “Totalitarian Ideology” which defined by itself, using it’s words, either does not suggest what he is wanting to suggest, OR he has no idea what he is talking about.

You drive at an interesting point Pahalik, which I suppose is that no one man can fix what ails an entire nation. While this is partially true, one man CAN provide the leadership to make real change.

You mock those who would follow this man and scoff at our system. What exactly would you fix in our broken system?

To say that our system of government is broken is not entirely fair. We the people have been lazy ignorant stewards of our republic for too long and its up to us to fix this mess. Ultimately, we will get the leader we deserve. Who we support and fail to support will reveal more about us as a people than any words you or I say.

    West for President 2012!

It’s about time we have someone in the White House who really understands what America stands for and who will have the courage and the integrity to work for we the people.

    Congressman West,

How are you today? I appreciate the hard work you are doing. Don‘t think it’s going unnoticed by us. Because it’s not.

Thanks for pumping gas and bringing our attention to the high prices and the fact that this President refuses to let us drill in the Gulf and be self-sufficient in America.

I surely hope you are reading these comments on theblaze.com. The one place where we can trust what is being reported that is being purposely ignored by the government MSM.

Congressman West, listen up! After listening to you and understanding your commitment to your constituents there, I just thought I’d say this. Just think of how much you could do not only for your constituents but for all of us in America? We all think of you as the one man in Congress who represents us. We are all your constituents!

I don‘t think I’ve heard a word you have said that I don’t wholeheartedly agree with. Do you know how unusual that is?

Run for President, Congressman West. The country needs you now. We don’t see anyone else who is running that will be capable of doing the job with as good judgment as you, or who could create the kind of excitement that you would create in running for President.

What do we have to do to get you to run?

I have tremendous respect for Col. West. Someday he may be a great President. In the mean time, as a freshman congressman, he would do well to emulate Ron Paul in NEVER voting for a tax increase, not participating in the congressional pension and benefit program, working to abolish the Federal Reserve, and absolute strict adherence to the Constitution. Ron Paul is the only Presidential candidate who is willing to do exactly what is needed to restore this former republic. The rest are slightly varying versions of the same old thing. If all you know about Ron Paul is the “talking points” that falsely label him, you owe it to yourself (and the future of America) to read one of his books to really understand his positions. (I recommend Revolution – A Manifesto. It’s a short, easy read that you can get at Amazon for about six bucks). It will open your eyes on how far we really have fallen from the Republic of the founders.

      Barbarian,
If you doubt that he is a strict Constitutionist, find one issue he voted on that was un-Constitutional. You won‘t because he doesn’t. Just because he may talk to someone you don‘t like doesn’t mean that he doesn’t adhere to the Constittution. A lot of so-called conservatives talk a big game about returning to the Constitution, and Liberty and individual freedom, until it involves something they don‘t like and then it’s ok to fudge a little.

Of course they don’t see that, they see what they want to see. The only man taking the presidency seriously is Ron Paul. Everyone else is bought one way or another.

      Allen…West…..ISNT…..running.

An interesting fact. 5 years ago Obama and the Dems were against drilling, the stated it would be 5 years before you see any effect. Now and every year since, they keep saying the same thing. And yet 5 years later, we are seeing the effect of their policies. Although when Bush started opening up areas for drilling, the price plummeted. The key that OPEC wants is to be able to raise and lower prices as they see fit. But if we suddenly opened up and started drilling out own reserves, that would cause their power to wane. Thus, that is why there are so many millions that go into lobbying from the left, to keep our reserves locked away. The enviormentalists are just useful idiots in this, the left could care less about the enviornment and more about power.

I strongly feel that he is following the path of Reagan.
for those who are too young to remember. West is a Tea Party consewrvative thus differing in this one respect to Reagan. Reagan started out as a supporter of both the new deal and the great society. he later took office in Ca. there he began his self education(but this is a redundant statement for the root of education is knowing then drawing from the self) in the history of the constitution. then he became aquainted with Hayek and Rand. these then lead to his speach for Goldwater now known to all that love freedom as the Rendevous with Destiny.
it would also be prudent to take note that Reagan was belittled by not just the left but by the republican establishment who are now trying to ride the wave that he created.

Thank you for contacting me with words of support encouraging me to run for POTUS. I appreciate hearing from you and having the benefit of your views.

I am truly humbled by your heartfelt words and your steadfast support. The results of Nov. 2010 occurred because of individuals like you ~ individuals who realized that our country was on the wrong track and needed to find a new path forward. The simple words “thank you” do not adequately express my appreciation for your unwavering commitment.

This victory is not mine; rather, it is your to take pride in. Please be assured I pledge to uphold and defend the Constitution of the U.S. and honorably serve the 22nd Cong, District of Florida.

The voice of the people calls for a revitalized economy, a reinforced nat’l defense, and a renewal of the principles that this country was founded on and paved the way for American exceptionalism.

As a former Lt Col. who served 22 years in the military, it gives me great pride to represent this country in a new uniform and a new setting, and I am honored by the opportunity to make your voice heard.

In regards to your encouragement for me to run for POTUS, I am flattered by the praise and thankful for the confidence you have bestowed upon me by making this request. At this time, I am not a candidate for the presidency. I will continue to stay focused on the constituents of the 22nd Cong. If his country wants him to be POTUS, he is willing to serve, but he will not throw District 22 under the bus. They will have to let him know it is okay with them FIRST.

People, that is what is known as HONOR. Obama got into office as a Senator by either disqualifying his opponents or threatening them with such embarrassment that they voluntarily withdrew. Then the arrogant SOB told John McCain at the HC “convention, “I won.”
