Rep. Allen West: US Security Policy Must Recognize Role of Islamic Ideology in Terrorism

He’s served on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, but now, freshman Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., is bringing his experiences to the halls of Congress to fight a different kind of battle.

“One of the things that I’ve noticed is that when you cross the Potomac, truth becomes subjective,” West recently told CBN News. “And I will not subscribe to that.”

The latest controversial “truth” West is warning of is the danger of separating Islamic ideology and radical Islamic terrorism.

“Can we really defeat this enemy if we don’t acknowledge the role that Islamic ideology plays in terrorism?” CBN News asked the tea party favorite.

“When you look at the national security strategy, it does not talk about jihadism, does not talk about Islamic terrorism, does not talk about Muslim extremism–as a matter of fact, it talks more about global warming and climate change,” West answered.

“We have to be able to stand up and forthrightly declare there is an ideology out there that’s fueling this thing,“ he said ”You can‘t say this is a ’war on terrorism.’ Terrorism is a tactic, and a nation can’t fight a tactic.”

“And we have to have that dialogue up here in the halls of Congress and among our leadership, or else, we’re just going to head down the road to perdition.”

    Rep, Allen West is awesome. He exhibits the kind of lost leadership values we so desperately need. Go Allen West; Go America; this is all reminiscent of the 60s all over again. We have got to get this right now, folks. Very soon, we won’t have a country. I find it outrageous our servicemen are being killed by Muslims, with no repercussions. Get some guts. Like Allen West.

    Would not have any problem voting for this man for President. Not one! Not sure about Christie yet though. Would like to see him as Vice President, but my gut is saying no right now.

      West and Christie on the same ticket is like mixing oil and water. DO your homework – Christie appointed a radical Muslim to the NJ Supreme Court. He’s very liberal on most policies except fiscal.

      And, 2 men from the same state could never win – meaning West and Rubio. I love Allen West, and feel we can’t wait for 2016 for him to be ready to be President. Our country is on the brink of destruction.

      He has more experience than obama did, so, he shouldn’t feel inexperienced for the position. He has my vote.

    Allen West is sure gives a “hope” to cling to at this time of insanity in our country where the Attorney General, Holder, speaks of demeaning “his people” if he pursues the Panthers, and will not enforce laws on the books such as, Defense of Marriage Act. We’re using our corn for making fuel instead of needed food, Bernanke is stripping our dollar of any value, Soros pushes for his “open society” and too many don‘t know freedom when they’re living it. They would rather march in the streets and have sleepovers in capitol buildings.
    I hope that he and all of the other “new” Republicans keep working on the budget, but don’t forget the many, many other insults to our freedoms that are growing in number so fast that it’s really hard to keep up.

      No, we are not as racist as the left paints us to be!! I have no problem with Obama’s racial heritage, only his policies. One of my all time favorite economists is Thomas Sowell, and he has been for years. And I think Allen West would be ourstanding in any political office he was elected for……….Remember, the content of character not the color of skin….we all know that is true!!

      Christie is beginning to get on my nerves. There is no place for collective bargaining in the public unions. Really there is no place for unions in the public sector, period. The unions use this power, along with the hefty dues, to control government and that leaves no one fighting for us the people who pays the bills.

Christie…I still like him but he‘s unsure he’s ready and is starting to sound like it’s “all about him” lately. He can get a Cabinet position…..How about DOJ ??

      Personally, I feel it’s an insult to Lt. Col. West to subjugate him to Gov Christie. Christie would not challenge BHO’s Obamacare in court with 28 other states and he is SOFT on illegal immigration. If West runs, he must be the top man on the ticket. I must say, listening to him speak and seeing his convictions, he’s potentially up ther with our greatest leaders. We need a real God fearing hero like this to save our nation from the Islamic Madness that the others in Washington seem to be facilitating.

      I totally agree El Jefe, I really like this guy. Right now I would have to give him the edge when it comes to the 2012 nomination. He speaks his mind, and does it in a way that is easy to understand. We need more of that in Washington.

      Here’s the thing: devout Muslim parents beat the crap (literally) out of their their kids for being “bad Muslims,” and it’s the child case worker who is accused of violating the rights of a Muslim family. Where does this sickness end?

      A Franklin County Children Services worker who is accused of violating the rights of a Muslim family said agency files contain references to their religion because it was a source of conflict between the parents and children.

      Amber Spires told jurors in U.S. District Court that Naim and Hadiya AbdulSalaam’s strict practices were an issue with their children, especially their 16-year-old son, Mandela, who was the first to be placed in foster care, in 2003.

      “That was part of the argument between Mandela and the family,” Spires testified yesterday in the trial of a lawsuit against her. “They are strict, and they are Islamic.”

      Mrs. AbdulSalaam’s attorney, Michael Moore, asked Spires whether she would have noted that a family was “strict Christians.”

      “I might have, yes,” Spires said.

      The caseworker testified that the three teenage daughters told her that their mother and stepfather had stripped Mandela and beaten him until he lost control of his bowels.

      “His sisters specifically told me that he had been disciplined for being a bad Muslim,” Spires testified.

      She also said that, during her first meeting with the girls in May 2003, one asked whether she could remove her headscarf. Spires said she asked whether their mother allowed that, and she explained that she would be truthful if Mrs. AbdulSalaam asked about it.

      After the agency accused the parents of not providing proper education and medical care and forcing the girls to work long hours in the home and family store, the three girls also went into foster care, in July 2003. Spires said Mandela told her the girls also were beaten.

      Mrs. AbdulSalaam, 55, of Grandview Heights, complained to the agency numerous times about the handling of her case. She said the agency refused to find a Muslim foster home, allowed a foster family to take the girls to church, and placed the children in predominately white schools, where they were uncomfortable.

      Spires testified that, even though she was a new caseworker handling a difficult case, she did not worry that she was being unfair. “That did not cause me concern, because I knew I did not do anything discriminatory towards her,” Spires said of Mrs. AbdulSalaam.

      Spires acknowledged that one of the girls ended up singing in her foster family‘s church choir but said the girl wasn’t forced. “We had gone over and over with them (the foster parents) what they could and couldn’t do with these kids because of their religion,” Spires testified. “When we got this information that she was singing in the choir, we were perplexed.”

      Officials have said that the children were raised Christian until Mrs. AbdulSalaam married Mr. AbdulSalaam.

      Mrs. AbdulSalaam should rot in jail!

      One more thing, While Allen West is what we all seem to looking and hoping for in a true leader, a leader who is a patriot, a constitutionalist, and a man of GOD. These very factors might make it hard for him to gain support from the mainstream. While we all here understand the need for someone like this should Mr. West ever decide to run for President his opponent would surly paint him as a war lord. But I hope you will consider a run. I worry about passing on and what will become of our children and their children and so on.

      Mr. West, would you please consider taking on the role of President and again serve your nation in it’s great time of need. We need you leadership, would wisdom, your courage, your honor, your common sense and I pledge to get out and support you in any manner possible. You see I have two children and my first grandchild on the way. I am getting on in years and my greatest fear is the very thing you so clearly see. I pray for someone like yourself to come and help turn my country back to a solid foundation for my children & grandchildren as well all other’s children and grandchildren for all the future generations to come.

      Please consider to serve again giving of yourself for a greater cause and I will do all I can to support you sir.

      I suggest that you go to youtube and search on his name…you will really be impressed with the CPAC speech from this year (2011…he was the closing keynote speaker at the convention)…He’s an amazing man! Youtube is chocked full of videos on Col. West.

      exactly…but he wouldnt even need to attack obama on his views or past actions…in just saying what needs to happen in america this man right here could open up the eyes of millions that are blinded by the lies obama, media, and other elected officials have spewed out of their mouths!!! i would vote for this man!!! somebody who cares about something more than just himself…a country of millions of americans!!!

      I agree. I posted a while back that Christie/West 2012 would be a great ticket. People should research this man, he has a lot of knowledge about the Nation of Islam and he is not afraid to tell people the truth!

      Time to switch gears for me.

      The more I listen to Rep. West I realize he may be the man we need at this very time in history. We are entering the most dangerous time in Americas history. I believe we are about to experience something that will surpass the Civil War in cruelty, brutality, divison, and over-all body count in the country I love. It’s going to require one tough SOB to keep this country together. Not only do we have a world that hates us and wants us destroyed, but we have a growing segment of our own society that wants to help those that want to destroy us.

      Although I am a huge Sarah Palin fan, I am now going to try and help in any way possible to get Allen West to run for president. We need someone like him at the helm and he has a nice basket of choices to pick from a his VP running mate. He would be smart to ask someone like Chris Christie or even Gov. Walker to take the VP slot to help with economic policy.

      Think hard about our next choice long and hard. Our future freedoms depend on it.

      I‘m a 60’s vet so he already had my attention….been watching him for just a short while….certainly deserves a valued study….firm in his conviction , intelligent and to the point answers..(non of that GUMBA talk)…hope he’s in the hunt, be great to have an Proven Patriot in a important decision making position…indeed maybe CIC…

      As I understand it, Fox is owned somewhere around 18% by some Saudi businessman…although, I do believe that Murdock’s “contract” (or whatever it is) w/Glenn must be pretty loose…Glenn provides us with so much benefit that it’s hard for me to criticize him about the Muslim thing…Whenever I really want to nail the basta*ds…I just go to David Horowitz or Atlas Shrugs and I can get my full of Moos-lim truths…this Country owes Glenn a debt that we will never be able to repay…I do get frustrated…but I think Glenn refuses to report on any opinion that he can’t back up with “concrete facts”…I honestly appreciate that about him…once opinion shows “cross that line” they all seem to forget that there ever was a line…know what I mean?

      West is a tried and true, dyed in the wool American patriot and Christian. He is the anti-Obama–just the medicine we need to fight the disease Obama and his ilk have infected this nation with. I’d vote for West in a heartbeat if he ran for President.

      One more thing, While Allen West is what we all seem to looking and hoping for in a true leader, a leader who is a patriot, a constitutionalist, and a man of GOD. These very factors might make it hard for him to gain support from the mainstream. While we all here understand the need for someone like this should Mr. West ever decide to run for President his opponent would surly paint him as a war lord. But I hope you will consider a run. I worry about passing on and what will become of our children and their children and so on.

      Mr. West, would you please consider taking on the role of President and again serve your nation in it’s great time of need. We need you leadership, would wisdom, your courage, your honor, your common sense and I pledge to get out and support you in any manner possible. You see I have two children and my first grandchild on the way. I am getting on in years and my greatest fear is the very thing you so clearly see. I pray for someone like yourself to come and help turn my country back to a solid foundation for my children & grandchildren as well all other’s children and grandchildren for all the future generations to come.

      Please consider to serve again giving of yourself for a greater cause and I will do all I can to support you sir.
