Rep. Joe Walsh Blasts Chris Matthews: Obama ‘Doesn’t Send a Thrill Up My Leg’

Joe Walsh to Chris Matthews: He Doesnt Send a Thrill Up My Leg

Every once in a while we get to see someone stand up to being talked over. This time MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, famed for shouting down guests with whom he disagrees, had a run for his money when he was challenged by Congressman Joe Walsh.

During a segment on the debt ceiling debate, the Republican congressman asked the Hardball host what President Obama has done in the last six months to remedy the debt crisis.

“Hey Chris, explain …Your President, who sends a tingle up your leg, has not been serious in six months. Why do you ignore that, Chris?” asked Walsh.

Matthews shrugged the question off, however, only responding to point out that “tingle” was apparently the incorrect word, to which Walsh challenged “he doesn’t send a thrill up my leg, Chris…and he has not been serious about this debt crisis and why don’t you jump on that?”

Not surprisingly, Matthews ignored Walsh’s question and continued to needle the congressman about whether he would “resign” if, come August 3, the debt crisis has not been averted.
“Will you resign, Chris?” Walsh pressed in return.

But the sparks didn’t stop flying.

During the segment, Matthews seemed more than a tad concerned that Walsh had, at some point, allegedly used the word “lying” with regard to the President. In response, Walsh clarified “when he [President Obama] speaks a mistruth, and he is not truthful, he is lying.” And when the President says that on August 3,”the lights in the country are going to turn out,“ and that he ”can’t guarantee” payment on Social Security checks, “he is lying” added Walsh.  ”The [President] knows that is not true…”

Matthews kept hammering away, however, accusing Walsh of calling Obama a “liar” and the GOP of orchestrating to bring the debt ceiling debate “to a crisis.”

But Walsh never relented, blasting Matthews for being a biased “bully” who talks over his guests.

Watch the explosive clip that’s sure to send a tingle, or a thrill, up your leg:

It‘s about time somebody pulled that guys head out of Obamas’ butt and not only told him off but made some of the points that only Rubio had made to date. This is how all the fiscal conservatives have to stand up and make the point instead of letting these fanatics run all over them. Walsh is a patriot.

Our Comments need to continue to be truthful and strong – Keep standing up to the liberal media. Don‘t just sit back like we’ve done in the past Rebut all jabs and false statements. Surprise them by standing firm and speaking out. The public needs to hear our statements loud and clear (with dignity). I wish our Consertive congress members would tell the public what Obama is really saying behind closed doors, don’t sugar coat to protect the office – there are ways to do this without sounding like mindless attacks. Speak with logic fact and truth over and over.

It’s amazing to me that some are worrying that instead of pushing cutting a deal with Obumbler, they don’t want to vote in as they should a budget amendment because it would make them look bad in front of the voters. Looks likke the same old thing, they’re more worried about their pockets than they are our country,

The only people that take Chris Matthews seriously are Obama’s homegrown Kool-Aid drinking zombies, Matthews is anything but an objective news reporter actually seeking truth. Johnny-come-lately Obama pulled himself from the golf course to finally address this issue in the 11th hour, he has no plan other than to position themselves to demonize those were doing the hard work and making the tough decisions.

The beltway mentality has proven it cannot limit its own spending and borrowing, our states have to live within a balanced budget and it’s way past time the federal government do the same. We need a balanced budget amendment, audit the Fed, restored and honest money system repeal the 16th amendment and go to a fair tax or flat tax system where government doesn’t pick winners and losers in the free market, above all the size of government needs to be cut drastically, it’s time to get back to the limitations of the enumerated powers, we were warned that this is exactly what would happen if we allowed government to grow unchecked.

Why can‘t conservatives fathom that they’re not the only people in this country with an opinion. Hey, guess what? Half the country (or more) doesn’t agree with you!! I often wonder what happened to liberals. As a liberal myself in the early 70s, I remember all of us I ran with having a deep mistrust of government, and being all about personal liberty and freedom, about very limited government bordering on anarchy, about evading and avoiding taxes and creating our own economy based on cash and barter, and being as self sufficient as we could be. We read 1984 and regarded it almost as as prophecy. Today, I hold most of the same values, but find myself solidly in the conservative/ libertarian/ tea party camp. Today’s liberals have become uber- statists, craving more and more government power and control of everything. As the old adage goes, I didn’t leave liberalism, it left me.

      BHO does not lie…RIGHT!

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America ‘s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America ‘s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”
