Rep. Joe Walsh Gets ‘Wound Up’ at Town Hall: Dems Want Hispanics ‘Dependent on Government’ Just Like African Americans

Joe Walsh: Dems Want Hispanics Dependent on Government Just Like African AmericansRep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) is known for his impassioned town hall speeches. So maybe it should come as no surprise that he let loose again during another gathering, raised his voice, and said Democrats want to make Hispanics “dependent on government” just like the party has done with African Americans.

After a constituent asked about a specific vote at a recent meeting, Walsh launched into an explanation about how his job is to limit government. Then he got excited.

“I get wound up,” Walsh shouted. “Boy, do I get wound up. I am scared, I really am scared, Patrick,” he said while raising his arms and addressing someone in the crowd, “that we’re past the point. We have so many people now dependent on government. So many people want handouts. The Democratic Party promises groups of people everything. They want the Hispanic vote, they want Hispanics to be dependent on government, just like they got African Americans dependent on government. That’s their game.”

“Jesse Jackson would be out of work if [African Americans] weren’t dependent on government,” he added.

You can see the full question and answer starting at 7:15 below (the response by itself is found in the second video):

While some will accept Walsh’s comments as benign, he is facing some criticism. The Huffington Post labeled it a “controversial” remark and characterized it as yet another slip up.

But consider this: the group that uploaded the second video is an anti-Tea Party super PAC with a goal to “take down” Walsh this year.

Democrats (Communist) party practice divide and conquer. The civil rights movement was an attack on individual Constitutional rights and we fell for it. Their tactic was for the sake of a group that may or may not have been harmed in some way that it was alright to take away another’s constitutional rights. Civil rights was not for equality under the law but was a progressive communist movement to destroy capitalism and bring the United States to it knees.

Or they call it “mis-speaking,” that’s my favorite. The bottom line in this country right now is that there are two paths being promoted. The left wants people to depend on the government, the right wants people to depend on themselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5kwKTxxEy4

You know whites are on food stamps too, right? In addition, some blacks and hispanics do, in fact, use credit and debit cards, not just food stamps.

Black or latinos are not the problem all on their own. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry of any race or color that lives off the government are the problem. All_of_them who use government help to subsidize their paycheck (if any) are the problem. We need to address them all the same way.

    Welfare percentages

    White 38.8%
    Black 37.2
    Hispanic 17.8
    Asian 2.8
    Other 3.4

12% of the population makes up 37% of welfare roles. 90% of blacks will be on some kind of assistance at some time in their lives. Why is it so evil and racist to point out the truth? How can you engage the policies in a real way without the fact of racial habits? Why does Jesse Jackson not want us to curt government funding? because the black middle class is propped up by government work, and at percentages much higher than their share of the population in those jobs. Smaller government means removing the support of the artificial black middle class. Why were fanny and freddie bailed out? Look at their demographics. Add to the list black farmers etc. The housing crisis? To stop “unfair lending practices” when it came to minorities. Not enough minorities were getting loans because their credit was bad or they were not financially stable. The government forced the banks to make the loans. The bubble burst and took down everyone with it. Until we admit race is a factor in policy making, education, lower standards for tests in schools and in professions then we cannot deal with the problems.

Now back yourself up, and reach down an pick up that turd by the clean end, like the PC rules instruct you to do.

You need to concentrate on facts like there are more whites on welfare. leave out the percentage of population stuff, it clouds the matter. next thing you know, you will be telling us the 7 of ten black kids are born into single parent homes, more black males go to prison than to college, the huge number of black babies being aborted (voluntary genocide like Margret Sanger wanted).

They can be loaded hotter. The military issues Lake City brass has thicker walls, and can take more reloads. Gas guns chew up brass much quicker than the bolt guns.

These un-Constitutional acts have done nothing other than to steal the property of those who have, to redistribute it to those who don’t. The war on poverty has mostly destroyed the black families, and created mult-generational welfare recipients.

The war on drugs war on terror and the war on poverty are all the same war and that‘s the war on the constitution because all three ’wars’ violate the constitution.

It’s funny, I have a job in Albany, NY (and I need to drive to various courts). Since Albany has no free parking, I park my car about 1/2 mile away from my office and I take the city busses to get around. I have learned A LOT about people just by listening to their conversations.

Last week a few black woman were complaining that “something happened” (I missed the beginning of the conversation) but the result was that they were both put at the bottom of the list for section 8 free housing. Both were complaining, swearing, you name it.

Then a few days ago a guy was complaining that he were denied disability handouts…and suddenly everyone jumped in and started to explain to this guy “the quickest possible way” to get around the system.. Meanwhile…the guy looked normal to me, as I could not see any disability which would prevent him from getting a job.

Then the last blow was when people started talking about the “OBAMA PHONE”. I thought it was a joke. Apparently the government is giving people free cell phones with 210 free minutes a month…you can also chose from various plans to chose from, some include texting, roll over minutes…ect.. I GOOGLED “OBAMA PHONE” and there he is, Mr. GiveAway himself all over the web site actually calling it the Obama Phone…it totally disgusts me… as I can not afford a fancy cell phone. Except that the “Obama Phone” isn’t a Government program. If you go to Obama Phone they send you to other sites to apply for services from a private company and the services are for basic services for really poor people, much of the service is discounted, not free. This isn’t a Government program but you must be receiving assistance to apply. These programs were first set up the Reagan administration and the wireless programs were set up in 2008, before Obama was elected. Check out Snopes. Government programs have “.gov“ or ”.mil“ or the occasional ”.edu“ or ”.org”. There is a difference.

@Progressiveslayer I’m so glad you asked. Private companies pay for the phone services. Here are two sites that you can check to see for yourself:

      http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/cellphone.asp

      http://www.factcheck.org/2009/10/the-obama-phone/

Here is what the FCC has to say about the Universal Service Support Mechanisms, the program behind the free cell phones: “Who Pays for Universal Service? All telecommunications service providers and certain other providers of telecommunications must contribute to the federal USF based on a percentage of their interstate and international end-user telecommunications revenues.”

      http://www.fcc.gov/guides/universal-service-support-mechanisms

It took me all of five minutes to find this information. I simply googled “Obama Phone” and followed a few links within the pages. You should always check the facts before you go believing stuff people tell on a message board. And a blog that repeats verbatim what another blog printed is not verifying a source, it’s repeating gossip and rumor.

The fund is then parceled out to companies, such as América Móvil, that create programs, such as SafeLink, to provide telecommunications service to rural areas and low-income households.” From the fact-check link.

It happens, but it shouldn’t. I pay for roads and fire and police and sewage and schools when I pay my taxes, even if I never have a fire or get robbed or have a kid in school. It’s a service provided to people who are 135% below the poverty line, many of them sick or disable or the elderly or the very young. Do you want to kick them out into the streets to die? Of course you don’t. So, are you willing to go around and find them to pay for their phone service out of your pocket? I’ll bet not. If granny has a stroke, shouldn’t she be able to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital? We live in a civilized country, we can afford to offer a few basic services to the very poor.

First, my reply was simply to highlight that your portrayal of this service being funded by business is not true. These businesses pay because the government tells them they have to pay. They charge us ultimately, thus ultimately we pay for a government mandated program. It just takes a circuitous route to get to us.

As for your rant about helping the poor, you have made a very poor argument. I don’t recall saying anything about throwing poor or sick people in the street. The fact is, our founders, and up until the early 20th century, expected local communities and churches to care for the poor and sick. Then the government stuck their nose into it, for pure political gain, and screwed everything up. Thus, you have just about every conceivable entitlement program, that each and every year grows bigger, destroying our country from within.

@Banter Our Founding Fathers lived in small, rural communities. They did not have the diverse population dependent upon a massive infrastructure as we do today. Our Founding Fathers could never have imagined a modern city like New York or Tokyo or Los Angeles or Beijing. They could not imagine having to deal with people from as many cultures or races as we have today. Part of being part of a civilized, modern society is building and maintaining infrastructure and government. Corporations have shown, time and again, that they will not do anything for anybody if it doesn’t make them a profit. There is very little profit in infrastructure. Taxes are needed to pay for those things. If you want to live in a place with no government and no social services and no infrastructure, there are several countries in Asia and Africa which you might find acceptable. I lived in Asia for ten years. I saw first hand what no social programs and lax government regulation could do for a modern city. It’s not a pretty sight. And the smell is indescribable. Most of the population has national insurance and their medical care is cheap but they kick people out into the street if they can’t pay at the hospitals . I knew an American whose child died because he had no medical insurance and he had run out of cash. They unplugged the baby and handed it to him. The baby died in his arms within minutes. In this country, his baby would have been treated and survived.

Meso-Americans are what they are. The first generation is grateful to be away from the societies that their relatives established, where the wages are not $3/hour, but $3/day, and life is as cheap as the dirt.

They come to American and work hard, but do not have the intellect to successfully compete in the higher orders of an information society. Between twenty years of washing dishes and twenty years of being lied to by Jewish politicians who tell them that they would be great mathematicians (just like Morgan Freedman!) if only white people were not so mean and privileged, resentment takes hold.

The first generation provides a useful service to the monied class by driving down the cost of labor. The second generation adds little value to anyone except vote-counting politicians.

Joe Walsh is lying to himself about the power of the Democrat Party to change people. Biology is the primary determinant of outcome. The Jewish wing of the Democrat Party knows and actively uses this. The prole wing of the Democrat Party and the majority of Republicans actively deny this (see ‘BADDOGGY’ above), as it takes courage to face uncomfortable facts. And life now remains too easy.

TAKE DOWN WASLH.COM? Are you kidding me? I wonder if they have a dot com site for ALL Republican opponents this time around? What a bunch of desperate LOSERS. I hope people in this country wake up soon, before the government OWNS them, too. PLEASE GOD, let Scott Walker win or we are all doomed to a life of intimidation and fear….

Who cares how many web sites and astro turf demonstrations the organize? They can’t work any harder than they have against Gov. Walker of Wisconsin and he’s going to win next week! I can’t wait to hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the communists in the Democrat party when they realize they wasted months and millions on the recall!

      Gonzo,
Agreed, LOL. I have donated to Walker from here in Florida, as this recall is not just about Wisconsin, but about the ultimate defeat of progressives and their union thugs nationwide.

Now, we need to make sure to help Lt.Gov Rebecca Kleefisch as well. They are coming after her hard and fast, now that they are seeing a Walker win. The thugs have put up Mahlon Mitchell, president of the firefighters union.

Let’s say you have two parents each with a teenager. One parent is strict, expects the kid to do his homework, clean up after themselves, get a part time job for spending money, and be home at a reasonable hour.

The second parent could care less about school (as long as the minimum is done), does their cleaning for them, hands them money now and then (in ever increasing amounts including buying them a car), and doesn’t really punish them for being brought home by the cops repeatedly.

How long do you think the loyalty of the child will last if there was no money or support involved? Which parent do you think will have the child living with them their entire adult life. Which parent will have raised a decent human being and which one will have raised a barely house broken animal?

Our one party system is to blame for the predicament we find ourselves in,Reagan tried to abolish the Dept. of education and the republicans stopped him.We even have republicans talking about tax hikes today which won’t help us with our debt and any republican talking tax hikes in this environment should be targeted for removal from office. We have a spending problem not a revenue problem.

The TEA party’s on the right course of purging the party of RINOS,we do that long enough and get rid of as many dems ie communists in D.C and Mr.Walsh’s rant becomes moot.

I’m not all that worried about crime, but bullets are expensive these days.

I can tell you that I would be able to donate more to help those in need if they wouldn’t take so much from me. Anyone in the middle class and up should realize that if they total in everything that their hard-earned money is going to, taxes would eat up well over 50% of their income.

I am a Joe Walsh supporter so let the flaming begin. First of all Joe meets regularly in the communities of his constituents, I have been to 4 of them and each time Joe is very receptive and animated when a topic that is close to him is brought up. He wants smaller less intrusive government that is fiscally responsible. Yes he does have flaws but you know ever person does. Joe is working for the people in his district not for the party and not for the system.

This man speaks the truth. Everybody think everybody else should support them. This is unsustainable.

They use resentment , greed , and envy , to make big promises, but they don’t beef up the productivity, they tax it away.

There ain’t enough money in the world to support the unrealistic claims of the government overlords, look at the states which are in debt over their heads. The dependent class is breaking the bank and the communists and unions are pretending not to see.

It’s great to see more and more people pointing this out. We all know the goal of socialism is to get as many people reliant on the government as possible. We’ve heard West and Cain talk about the Democratic plantation. We need more to come out and say it.

The Dems have always been the racist party, this is there latest tactic.

Not so much. Travel to the D of C and watch and learn. Look at the inhabitants, waiting on their checks and thugging hard; then look at the life long bureaucrats doing the same and sucking up more and more of our taxes also. It is a game plan; keep certain races dependant on the govt gravy train. Race happens doggy, sorry you are not exposed to the fun waaay out in W Tejas. Or is that Norte Mejico? Que?

Cut him a little slack. The Democrats want everyone dependent on the government…a truer statement was never uttered…but they’re willing to do it one group at a time, and they’re targeting Hispanics. Western communists are patient. Notice they’re working on the veterans now as we speak.

      Doggy-
Take Md. Lib bastion, safe haven for los frijoles. Standard is a house full of our latino bros, 6-12 in a 3 br house, all sharing the same ssn, 0 stickers on beater cars with questionable registrations and usually 0 insurance, and somehow their gps’ know exactly where all the local social sevices are and yep, someone there to hable. Take DC. Lots of aspiring rap artists and lil pharma reps on the dole with ak‘s in an area vets can’t carry, getting local social services and awaiting the big ss pay off, and hoping for a kracker to rear end them in traffic while running to get the newest 0 phone; in section 8 housng, and buying seafood on the food stamp card. WV has it’s fun with the rednecks doing the same but with some meth thrown in-sort of like Oregon east, but I throw that in to let you see I am an EO hater, and race has 0 to do with it-they love getting their ss crazy checks as soon as they can. The common denominator is that the D wants them just as they are, maybe with more offspring and 0 in the way of fam values, just to ensure the D maintains power and control. Who are Jackson and Sharpton again and what is their job description? Que? Travel to the E coast and chat up some of our lovely new age democrats.
