Rep. Paul Ryan: Wisc. Democrats ‘Lack Respect for Rule of Law’

Congressman Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., addressed ongoing protests in Madison and the “Fugitive 14,” the 14 state Senate Democrats who fled the state to avoid a vote on Gov. Scott Walker’s budge proposal. In the end, the debate boils down to the need for fiscal responsibility, Ryan told a Business Day gathering this week.

“I didn’t like the legislation that was moving through Washington the last two years. I didn’t like cap and trade; I didn’t like ObamaCare; I didn’t like the stimulus. But I didn’t walk out,” Paul said. “We stayed and did our jobs, we voted, we tried to amend, we made our debates Elections have consequences. They won, we lost. That’s the way it works. So I just don’t understand this lack of respect for the rule of law.”

As long as democrats continue to have leaders like REED and Queen Nancy are only going to loose more and house and senate seats along with the presidency in 2012… Then just maybe we will see the end of these progressive and liberal folks.

Obama considers America a whorehouse and himself as the Pimp-in-Chief. This illegitimate carnival clown has done more to degrade America in two years than his teammates Clinton and Carter did in their full terms! 2012 cannot come soon enough!

Paul, you are a very smart man and deseving of respect from all of us. However, I must comment that there is no longer a Democratic Party. They have been replaced by the new world order party of Socialist Progressives. These cockroaches have all sold their souls to the devil and have joined hands with the Muslim Brotherhood, the unions. the communist party to bring down America. They will not win of course and God knows we need people like you to be here for us. One word for these cockroach socialists like Obama, Van Jones, and the others “God is watching” and I do not believe he is happy with you betrayors of America. Hooyah for the Republican Party and the Tea Party. Victory is less than two years away! Hooyah!

Rep. Ryan doesn’t understand their disrespect for the rule of law? It’s simple: they’re libs. Libs pick and choose the laws they’ll obey, and disparage and ignore the laws they disagree with. Lovely humans, those libs.

Ryan is on target. I would like to see more conservatives speaking out on this point, what is happening in Wisc is anarchy and that is not acceptable. Half of these morons are eligable to be recalled and I hope each of them are. If Wisc. voters dont want to see more of this nonsence, they need to deal with it swiftly and forcefully.

    No taxation without representation.

If you are in a State where the elected leaders have fled, you are not being represented. The argument that you should be forced to work all week and have taxes taken from your check, to help pay for elected officials who have fled the State, their duties, and their constituents, is ridiculous.

You could always pay the back taxes when and if the Democrats come back to work.

Ryan didn’t need to walk out. The Senate Republicans have the power of the filibuster to block and delay, so there is no need for them to leave Washington. And Senate Republicans have no qualms about swinging that filibuster club whenever it is politically convenient regardless of the harm it may do. Now Republicans have suddenly discovered that elections have consequences, and that legislation deserves an up and down vote. How convenient!

Wisconsin Democrats don’t have the filibuster, however. The next best thing is denying a quorum. Not quite as elegant as a filibuster but there it is. Whatever it is, it isn’t illegal, nor does it disrespect the rule of law.

Call their behavior whatever you want… these Democrat lawmakers are behaving like bratty spoiled children who suddenly find they don’t always get their way. The taxpayers in Wisconsin and the rest of the country see them for what they are and who they truly represent (NOT the 90% of non-union, taxpaying workers, who these union-tools seem to have forgotten are NOT the enemy, but America’s actual “working class”).

The States and the U.S. Government are essentially bankrupt, and the non-government-union workers of America are FED UP with the corrupt and self-serving relationship between Democratic Party and the government employee unions voting their LAVISH compensation and benefit packages, at the rest of American taxpayers’ expense ! Finally, as in Wisconsin and Ohio, taxpayers have realized that THEY (NOT the unions, or these totally union-owned Democrat politicians) ARE THE BOSS. It‘s obvious these delusional fools can’t grasp WHY their party just earned themselves the worst political thrashing EVER in an election, at virtually EVERY level of local, state and federal government.

Taxpayers aren’t feeling much sympathy for these selfish and piggish Democrat stooges. Since when is it “right” or “fair” that the average government employee receive more than 1 and 1/2 times in wages and benefits what the rest of American workers earn, for performing equivalent work ?

The proverbial jig is definitely up. So these Democrat lawmakers can only resort to go into hiding, shedding more and more light on their narrowly-controlled and selfish interests. Their days are numbered and they KNOW it ! Their childish and pathetic behavior will only continue to justify the collective wisdom of voting their sorry butts OUT of office (after all, only one more seat is needed in Wisconsin, and we taxpayers here in Ohio have ALREADY locked their ilk out of power….).

Face it, the flee-bags need to GROW UP, SHOW UP, and VOTE. If they don’t, they need to resign or be un-elected. The Republicans, like it or not, function entirely within the rules. The Democrats only obey the rules they like……kind of like children!

WHERE is the Republican leader? If a republican that is going to run against Obama in 2012 doesn’t start standing up NOW…….then Obama will serve another term!!

Here is a timely word from the Bible: “Therefore, this is what the LORD says: If you return, I will restore you; you will stand in My presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be My spokesman. It is they who must return to you; you must not return to them. Then I will make you a fortified wall of bronze to this people. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to save you and deliver you. This is the LORD’s declaration. I will deliver you from the power of evil people and redeem you from the control of the ruthless.” Jeremiah 15:19-21

I think a governor who considers the illegal action of planting provocateurs to disrupt the peaceful protests in Wisconson doesn’t respect the First Amendment right to peaceful protests. The Madison police chief didn’t much like the idea of endagering people, including his officers either by this illegal action either. Here’s what he said:

JZS, are you a member of the thought police? Is it a crime to think something??? Please enlighten us on where he actually broke the law or actually did anything by thinking about it. The thought occurred to him and then he used his better judgement and opted against such a thing. More then I can say for your liberal cronies in DC. If you’re going to try a smear campaign you should be better equipped then with the half baked crap you come here peddling. Try again.

@hifi74 – this wasn’t the thought police, this was the police police. The Chief of Police in Milwaukee.

You probably didn‘t follow the link so I’ll give you one key sentence from the Chief of Police in Madison: I would like to hear more of an explanation from Governor Walker as to what exactly was being considered, and to what degree it was discussed by his cabinet members.

Maybe that sound innocuous, but he‘s challenging the Governor to show he wasn’t conspiring to comment a crime. Conspiracy to comment a crime is a crime, whether followed through or not.

HiFive, your ideology has eclipsed your moral compass. You know that a state Governor, who thinks he’s talking to a billionaire benefactor about the possibility of endangering peaceful demonstrators and possibly even the police by planting provocateurs is wrong. You know that.
