Rep. Peter King to Hold Second Hearing on Radical Islam Next WeekRep. Peter King (R-NY) was apparently unfazed by the controversy that befell him when he held a House hearing on radical Islam in March. The congressman announced that he will hold a second hearing next Wednesday focusing on “the threat of Muslim-American radicalization in U.S. prisons.”

“At this hearing, we will look specifically at the extent of the dangerous problem of radicalization in U.S. prisons,” King said in a statement Thursday obtained by CNN. “We have seen cases in which inmates have been radicalized at the hands of already locked-up terrorists or by extremist imam chaplains.”

“We will focus on a number of the serious cases in which radicalized current and former inmates have planned and launched attacks or attempted to join overseas Islamic terrorist organizations,” he added.

King currently chairs the House Committee on Homeland Security.

His previous hearing was blasted by Democrats, Muslims, and Muslim advocacy groups. The Long Island Republican was accused of Islamaphobia and trying to stir up anti-Muslim sentiment, among other things. The hearings were lambasted to such a degree, in fact, that Capitol police had to secure the hearing room as well as King’s office.

“I cannot help but wonder how propaganda about this hearing’s focus on the American Muslim Community will be used by those who seek to inspire a new generation of suicide bombers,” Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, the top Democrat on the committee, said at the time.

But the fireworks during the hearing didn’t come from controversial testimony or King. Instead, many remember it for Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison (who is also a Muslim) breaking down in tears, and fellow Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee having to be reprimanded for clapping during the hearing.

“This radicalization hearing, like the one in March, will be a deliberate and thoughtful examination of an issue that is too important for our security to ignore,” King assured in his statement.

    This is nothing the US Dept of Justice and the various state correction authorities didn’t know 30 years ago. There was a time back in the 70′;s when certain Immams and muslem literature was censored and limited in the prisons because of the violent nature of it. (They also stopped Satanic literature until the courts stepped in and forced them to allow it.) Then the muslems started winning lawsuits in the courts to allow the literature in the prisons and an occasional radical in disguise. From there it seems to have snowballed. They knew back then. But they had no choice because of the courts. To try to stop it at this point would cause nationwide prison riots. Those are the choices we are faced with.

    This is the least of the Muslim problem. There are very few at this point in time that are trustworthy. If that sounds harsh, well, when I see good Muslims standing up to the ones who want to take over the world, and denouncing sharia law here in the US, I will begin to trust “good” muslims. I hold no hate, but trust is earned and I have little to go on to trust as of right now. Events in the middle east aren’t helping either. Where are those good ones standing against the Muslim Brotherhood and their desire to destroy Israel? The silence is deafening. “To not speak, is to speak”. It worries me to have a silent community here in this country. Give me a reason to trust that community.

      As far as killing, burning mosques across this country well we’re not there yet.This country is blind about the threat of Islam there’s no doubt about it. It’s entire premise is to infiltrate and destroy and build sharia. It‘s so simple it’s freighting. 3000 deaths on 9/11 were not enough to wake those of you who are still sleep walking through this.
      I find it incredibly dangerous that the true teachings of Muhammad are being followed by those who we call radical and those who only follow some of the teachings of Islam (apostates) are what we call moderates. Just a quick fact. Obama’s father was a Muslim that automatically makes Barry a Muslim Apostate. fyi. It’s their law and culture not mine.
      The media as well as our politicians have us all thinking that Islam is like any other religion. They just want their children to be safe and make an honest living. Are you kidding me. Really? It’s sad that we are expected to understand that Islam means peace actually it means submit and its just a few bad apples. If any of you knew what their true purpose of Islam is and what the murderous pedophile has mandated to his followers it would make your skin crawl. But you’d be awake and you would know that Islam IS True evil spawned from the fires of hate, murder and slavery they wish one thing a caliphate and to destroy our way of life..
