Rep. Ryan on ‘Grave Danger’: Spending Crisis Still Looms

.

Hello. I’m Congressman Paul Ryan from Janesville, Wisconsin – and Chairman here at the House Budget Committee. It’s no secret our government has a spending problem –- and the problem has gotten so bad it’s threatening our future and hurting our nation’s ability to create jobs.

Republicans made a pledge that we would work to change this if given the opportunity to lead. Since January, we’ve been urging President Obama to listen to the people and work with us to reduce spending. The president started this year by proposing a freeze that would make no cuts at all.

But now bipartisan legislation is in sight to enact the largest spending cut in American history.

So how do we get ahold of this proposal? I would like to read it for myself. I guess both parties are proud of themselves for cutting a measly 38 billion vice trillions. We really do need to fire all of them in Washington in order to break this cultural cycle of politicians who don’t act like servants. They are suppose to be SERVANTS!! Do what the people want!

I don’t see this situation changing even though the dire predictions, with 35.3% of possible voters being democrats and there lack of urgency to fix our nations budget crisis its all just hot air for the most part. What needs to happen is an all out relentless campaign to demonize the demarcates/liberals/progressives as country destroyer’s thieves and traitors.

It is also time to put the shame back onto entitlement programs , generation upon generation of welfare families needs to stop, there needs to be a cut off point weather it’s a time line or dollar figure. Foreign aid needs to be abolished and our stance as the world police force also needs to stop and those bases closed.

Our boarders need to be secured and the word (Illegal) need’s to come with such a cost and punishment that none would be willing to take the chance.

We also need to reel in unions and lobbyists, it needs to be illegal for unions to contribute to political campaigns and this also goes for lobbyists, to keep our political system clean of corruption from unions and corporations this needs to happen, they are there to represent the people not corporations and organized labor who just wish to buy the politicians to further there financial welfare and pensions.

We are seeing what happens when God turns his back on a nation…….chaos, back biting, lies and general pandemonium .

If we continue to blow Him off it will only get worse and worse.

Romans 1:18. Forget the end times if you must, but take this comment by Paul about a gov. Run amok in his time:

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

I hate to be the pessimist but I am long over my own normalcy bias.

We’ve missed the turn off years ago, this is the cascade effect of in actions of the past to properly budget and restrain over spending and the failure to rein in Fannie and Freddie which started this whole mess in the first place. It is now spilling into every facet of the worlds economy.

The Bible clearly points out that there will be economic travails in the last days and that every evil deed of man will be exposed. What a better way to expose his deeds than to pull his money out from under him. This will persist and there is no stopping the coming collapse, we have already taken the step of printing money to paper over the bleedng gash our economy is and the tranfusion of cash into the patient will make the patient more sick. The patient needs to take his medicine and let the body heal naturally but since our physicians (politicians) don’t believe the diagnosis they have prescribed a treatment that will actually kill the patient. It happens everyday. It is happening now on a grand scale like never seen before in the history of this world.

We are all witnesses to the failure of mans ultimate prized system of banking and monetary management. God has given and or allowed all these systems to be tried for thousands of years and to be documented thoroughly in our development so will be all be able to see that man needs a God centered system and not the one we have where we have kicked him to the curb.

In the final analysis every knee will bend and every tongue will confess he alone is God.

Chief, you are so right. We are not going to recover from this, no matter who’s in office, what they say or how well-intentioned they are. It’s beyond redemption. America is under the active judgment of God whether we like to admit it or not. No amount of positive thinking or rallies is going to change that.

The economy is so far gone that there’s no getting it back to normal without taking steps that seem so radical that most Americans, including many who frequent this site, would violently take to the streets if they were implemented. The amount of money that we are in debt and locked into paying n the future, publicly and privately, is so enormous that we can’t begin to grasp it. The changes required are beyond the comprehension of our entitlement mindset. Most Americans can’t take a little discomfort let alone make painful sacrifices. As far as the crash which is coming, it’s only a question of details and timing not inevitability.

We made huge strides in Nov 2010, all we need now is to stay focused and turn that tide again in 2012. Successful impeachment means nothing, as we would then have ….God forbid…“President Biden”, who is the best bullet-proof vest any President has ever owned.
Stay focused, people. Take obama out of office in 2012, take out any RINO or lib in your district or state (for Rep/Sen respectively), elect conservative Governers, and 2012 may be a shining light for America once more.

Starve the progressive BEAST! We need to shut this gov’t down and repeal all of the progressive laws enacted since Woodrow Wilson came to power – the dark side shall not win, they shall not stand, this will be our creedo!

You’re right snowleopard, let’s do something now and get this country back on track. It will,of course, be an uphill fight every inch of the way. The Obama liberals who are acting for the utter destruction of this country will pull every dirty trick in the book and the entrenched politians (of every party) sitting on their lazy butts not wanting to do any thing that might diminsh their power even slightly will conspire with them. But, by God,we need to get busy.
