Report: ‘Arabic Words’ Appearing on the Bellies of Southwest Planes

Arabic Words Reportedly Showing Up on the Bellies of Southwest PlanesSouthwest Airlines has increasingly been finding graffiti on the bellies of its planes and has now asked employees to keep an eye out for the culprits. What type of graffiti? According to ABC15 in Phoenix, sources say the markings are Arabic words, and another outlet reports the markings have been done using a chemical process.

“These unauthorized markings typically appear as symbols or words tagged on the exterior of the aircraft,” an internal memo by Southwest, and obtained by ABC15, says.

“We need our employees to be aware of a situation that is taking place,” the memo continues. “Beginning in February, we received reports of markings on our aircraft, and recently these reports have increased.” It goes on to say the markings appear “commonly on the engine and/or landing gear.”

Citing unnamed sources, ABC15 says the markings appear to be Arabic words:

Multiple sources, who asked not to be identified because they’re not authorized to speak on behalf of the company, told ABC15 the markings appear to be Arabic words.

The sources believe the markings are being done by an employee or group of employees joking around.

One employee told ABC15 it’s not uncommon for ground crews to write their names or airport in the dirt on the planes, but said the recent markings were different.

KNX-RADIO in Los Angeles reports the markings “appeared to have been done with a chemical process that reveals the text once an auxiliary power unit is turned on and heats up the outside skin of the aircraft.”

ABC15 confirmed that federal investigators are now involved.

      When are people going to wake up? How obtuse can a nation be? Radical Islam will stop at nothing. They’ve killed our people, slaughtered by the thousands, and will stop at nothing. (The only positive thing to come from the attacks on 9/11 was to confirm the “Islam-a-borg” are not in possession of WMDs or they would have used them.)

      1SSF – Yes – and none of our Govnt “leaders”/officials/military leaders ever say it’s b/c we are considered a “Christian” nation. No – it has to be b/c of other reasons like our “freedoms”, etc. The closest they get is to say we’re considered the “big satan”. It’s taboo to get into the real reasons – either b/c of ignorance or afraid of “pc” – whatever. As long as we keep trying to not admit the truth in public about this, we’ll never get much of anywhere. They just keep manipulating and using our ignorance/freedoms/pc nonsense in their favor.       @MOMPRAYING: Yes, you’re absolutely right. To them, it is very simple, very basic but very fundamental. It‘s no more complicated than we’re a Christian nation. I failed to mention that roughly ten years ago I had a chat with a man in Kuwait. He warned us at that time of the threat of radical Islam and that (quote) ” . . . they hate you because America spreads the Gospel.” So, yes. You’re right. It’s simply PC. No one explains the real reason.

      On a side note . . . In 1983 I interviewed a survivor of the Bataan Death March. (I have interviewed more than 1,000 combat vets.) When asked if he was shocked at the harsh treatment by his Japanese captors, he said that he was shocked but not for the reasons I probably assumed. In the end, this veteran blamed the U.S. government. “We should have been trained about the brutal Japanese culture. But we knew nothing going in. The government should have told us what to expect if we surrendered.” I equate this very analogy with the current problem facing Radical Islam. They fly planes into our buildings, killing thousand, and slicing the throats of airline stewards and aircrews that who, like the folks in the towers and the Pentagon, just happened to show up for work that day. Indeed, they have savagely beheaded all but one of our Prisoners of War. Yet “we” – i.e. government and politicians – both republican AND democrat – give them lawyers and fight on their own behalf to build a mosque within eye shot of Ground Zero. Disturbi

Right now, both of these ‘groups’ FAR out number the demographic among the general population in both of these ‘employment’ sectors. All because of fear. And that is all it comes down to, fear.

      They already have quite a few corners covered in this country. When is the last time you stayed at a Motel 6, Bestwestern, or even a Holiday Inn that wasn’t run/owned by them. When you stop in the middle hillbillyville in mountains and half of an arab family is working behind the desk at the motel you stop at or the carryout stores they own it makes you take notice. Hell, look at all the IHop’s that just got raided in Ohio owned by them. They are already in every corner.

When in grade school I asked my older brother about symbols carved in the fence posts at the end of the lane, he said that hoboes marked the fences to let others know whether someone was an “easy meal”, “Work for food”, or “Got shotgun, stay away”.       While I am curious to know what it says, if it’s for a more sinister purpose, it could just be code words. Even if it said Toaster, that could mean something to whoever wrote it. The article says the employees just screw around by writing in the dirt on the plane, these guys wrote in some sort of “invisible ink”.
      Actually I’d be surprised if it said Toaster. They probably don’t have a word for such advanced machinery in their stone-age culture/language.

      I don’t care what the words say….the fact is, they are in arabic. In this country, at this time in our history, that’s offensive. Period. Yes, Arabic is offensive at this time because the one’s speaking it are our known and sworn enemies. This is not some dumb joke by American employees. An American would have written “wash me” in english! This is a test to see how easily our enemies can obtain access to our airplanes. AND IF THE WORDS THEMSELVES WERE NOT OFFENSIVE, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD WHAT THEY MEAN. The government doesn’t want us to know. They consider us mushroooms, all of us!

    This is insane. We who fly must seal our hand sanitizer in a plastic bag, and our nail clippers are confiscated. Yet somehow a chemical that shows up only when HEATED gets by security? What exactly is that chemical? And I don’t care if these people DO work for the airlines. That is all the more reason to have them pass through security.     Oh yes; we strip search the kids and grandma’s, let the towel heads pass without a question! We never lock the gates leading to the aircraft on the flight line. What do we expect? Since when are the workers or the aircraft safe from terrorism? Take this article and it’s revelation as a warning Washington! Although, we have been told this before, and Obummer has done NOTHING to close the doors or make us more secure. Our planes are STILL targets and we the people are once again on the front lines while the “ladies” in white gloves touch my junk before I can board a plane!

      Just recently I flew and saw an elderly lady in a wheel chair made to stand up and go through the scanner and then they made her wait for a pat down after she told them she had metal piece in her leg. This woman was absolutely no threat. Our process is disgusting and if I could never fly again, it would be ok with me.

      NO tolerance for Islam…that’s what is needed. NO tolerance for politicians who cater to it. NO more city permits to build Islamic schools & mosques. They ARE everywhere and sue when anybody looks cross-eyed at them.

      TSA & airline workers: absolutely need to be screened equally as much as passengers…no exceptions.

      But, as far as “molesting grandma & groping children”…we’ve flown 3 times since the new x-ray machines were installed. My 4 yr old hasn’t been touched one time and she has only had to pass through the metal detector (not the x-ray). The inconveniece of removing our shoes is annoying, but tolerable. I have long hair & they checked my pony tail (for God knows what). We‘re early 40’s whites, so, not too sure about all the “harrassment” claims.

      Anyway, we absolutely need to become as intolerant as our enemies have been for centuries. We can’t have government sponsored or controlled religion, so, not sure that we can do it through legal channels. Grassroots is the only way. Stop allowing the law suits.

      Open to ideas here.

    Airport security is great isn’t it? It’s all an illusion,the powers that be want us to think we’re safe to keep airlines in business.Airport security should be handled by the airlines and not government,they would do a much better job imo.If it‘s just the fools who load the bags that’s one thing if it‘s a breach in security that’s an entirely different matter.

      Now if it was a little old lady in a walker or a 3 year old child with Downs Syndrome I am sure the security at the Air Ports, now unionized, would be all over those responsible. So keep your fingers crossed that the professionals at the TSA are watching those evil old lady’s and disabled children closely.

      They say in the post that some of the ground crews write their names in dirt on the planes; and now these words in Arabic start to appear as well? What I now have to wonder, having looked at this somewhat on the Drudge Report yesterday, is if this is just a prank being pulled.

      Remember the case where packages were sent from Yemen, via Fed Ex or such, that had printers and printer cartridges carrying disguised bomb components — a test back then of security protocols, and looking for weakness to exploit.

      This could be the same thing, basically gaging what we do about the matter, if it is not just the band of jokesters.

    They need to find out who is doing this because if they can put chemicals on the aircraft that will do this, then they can put chemicals that might go boom later.

      I am flying JetBlue, aren’t I lucky. I can only hope that some day the “real suspects” at check in will be scrutinized as closely as old ladies and young babies. How foolish we are to subject ourselves to this treatment in consideration of political correctness and sheepishly not demand that profiling be used, whether of a racial or religious or other means. We are so stupid and cowardly as a nation for not confronting our government and making it protect us..they never do, whether it is at the airports, seaports or borders, even after masacres occur. I think I will wear my t-shirt to the airport that reads, I am Grumpy Cause you’re Dopey. Disney did not know how right he was.

    I heard about this story yesterday. Sounds like Southwest needs to take a real close look at their employees. Of course, then the liberal media will be all over them for discriminating against Muslims.
