Report: Ardent NPR Defenders Receive Soros Funding Too

The Daily Caller has done some investigative work and found that some of the most vocal supporters of the Juan Williams firing from NPR are part of organizations that receive Soros funding. Soros is a supporter of NPR, recently donating $1.8 million to the publicly-funded radio outlet.

Among the vocal NPR supporters receiving funding are:

  • New America Foundation
  • The Free Press
  • New America Media

“NPR saw supporters come out of the woodwork to decry right-leaning calls for the radio company to be stripped of government financial support,” the DC’s Jeff Winkler writes. “Interestingly, many of those who voiced their opinion that NPR should keep its government provided cash happen to receive funds from the same source: liberal financier George Soros and his Open Society Institute.”

It is important that slanted ‘news’ be reported on
    N(egatively) P(olarize) R(epublicans as racist, relentless, repressive, rich-reich).

    >What is even more important?
    That there is a FOX

NPR and CPB should not only be stripped of government funding but the government should auction their assets to recover whatever is left of the “investment.” Let Soros buy it outright.

The FCC should also cease favoritisms shown to “public” broadcasters.

ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, The Times Group of newspapers and most of the mainstream media are already in, “Spooky Dude’s” pocket. You will NEVER get the truth from any of these Communist outlets. Glenn Beck, WorldNetDaily, The Right Network, The Drudge Report and a handfull of other truth seekers are the only ones publishing the real truth behind the shenanigans going on in Washington and even around the world. The world’s powerful elite are playing us for puppets and we MUST keep informed in order to cut the strings or else we will all end up as serfs in a world wide dictatorship. Not only must we cut the strings but we all must fervently PRAY that GOD will protect this nation from the coming diasater.

This is no surprise. We really are now in a fight for our country’s right to not belong to the one world order. I hope all the people who have been making fun of me all these years are very proud of themselves. I also hope they are scrambling to find their butts with a map, but don’t come here. I won‘t be forgiving or helpful and I won’t waste my resources on people who did nothing for themselves.

If you live in a state or district represented by one of the members of the Socialist Party Caucus, good luck. If you are unfortunate enough to be represented by any of these people, you have no say in the decision being made in your state. Check out the list and be aware – these people need to be replaced before it is too late. I was absolutely amazed that there are no fewer than 70 lawmakers openly sided with the Socialist Party of America: (not updated since the election, but most are still in office)

It’s way past time to stop government funding of NPR. For decades it has been a platform for left winger ideas and left winger ideas only. The whole idea of the government having a network that distributes the “truth” in news and politics according to the government is troubling whether it leans left or right.
It should have never been funded in the first place and it is time to stop it now.

I like the non-journalistic programs on NPR, mostly the weekend stuff. And until recently were more neutral than liberal. Unfortunately since Soros began to take the spotlight, I’ve become disappointed in NPR. I hope things can be brought back under control.

I don’t like how they get government funding then spend 2 weeks a year (hear about it longer) doing fundraisers and make people feel guilty.

All part of the plan to have everyone’s eyes focused on the “crisis,” while they insert more of their devious plans in the system. Seems like a lot of the more open minded employees of the Soros funded media(yes, they do keep one or two around to show how balanced they are) are struggling mightily to keep their jobs–think of Mara Liasson’s comparison of Obama to Churchill. Really?

Why is that every public or tax funded program is broke, exploited, and increasingly liberalised. We are funding the ruin of our own country and Soros is just throwing down a little insurance money on our epic fall. Cut government in your first day by at least 50%. This is all that will help. Get rid of the easily exploited union and public programs.

There is no reason for tax payer support for NPR or PBS. There are enough cable/satilite stations to fill the viewers needs. If private funds want to support them, so be it. I quit giving to either one years ago when I found out how left wing they were and never gave a dime to support republicans only dems.

The idea that a “publicly” funded news outlet has any chance of being unbiased is totally absurd.

If NPR were a commercial station and an advertiser disagreed with the content then they may pull their ads but there would be plenty of other advertisers to fill the void.

How many individuals have millions in spare cash to throw away on NPR?

Because NPR can’t expect anyone to fill the funding hole left if they upset George Soros (or any other large, still living, contributor) NPR is in effect required to produce content that will keep them in George’s good graces making them far more likely to produce biased content.

click my name for some cool new anti-progressivism designs.
