Report: George Zimmerman Passed Lie Detector Test on Trayvon Martin Killing

George Zimmerman’s trial is still a work in progress. However, evidence is continuing to mount that the arrest and charge of Mr. Zimmerman may have been the wrong call, after all. In the most recent piece of evidence, the Smoking Gun reports that Zimmerman passed a lie detector test about his behavior the night of the shooting:

According to a “confidential report” prepared by the Sanford Police Department, Zimmerman willingly submitted to a computer voice stress analyzer (CVSA) “truth verification” on February 27. Investigators concluded that he “has told substantially the complete truth in regards to this examination.”

Zimmerman, the report noted, “was classified as No Deception Indicated (NDI).”

Along with questions about whether his first name was George and if it was Monday, Zimmerman was asked, “Did you confront the guy you shot?’ He answered, “No.” He was also asked, “Were you in fear for your life, when you shot the guy.” Zimmerman replied, “Yes.”

Now, it should be noted that lie detector tests can be fooled, so much so that entire guides exist on the internet for how to do so. However, given the path the case has been taking over the past few weeks, and also given that Sanford police interrogators are probably better at administering these tests than average, we suspect that at least some validity has to be applied to these results.

    I read everything available on the Zimmerman case within 72 hours of Zimmerman’s arrest – this lie dectector result included. Trayvon had two choices that night. He could go home, or he could go confront Zimmerman. He chose confrontation. He likely estimated his bigger, younger, stronger self could take George. He was wrong, and for that I’m personally grateful. According to Zimmerman Trayvon told Zimmerman he was “gonna die tonight”. Presented with the choice I’ll take a man like Zimmerman over a man like Trayvon every time. The life of an upstanding, law abiding citizen is a thousand times more valuable than the life of a thieving, drug dealing, wanna be thug.

      Trayvon made a choice that night that cost him his young life, could have been that he was high, but evidence is building up against him and showing that Zimmerman was telling the truth. This trial is racial. How about the blacks that jumped the white couple, what is going on with that.

      Absolutely correct, great concise post! It is self defense, not stand your ground in this case. No jury will convict on Murder 2 or Manslaughter. Zimmerman didn’t pick a fight or start a fight, but he had to stop it to prevent being murdered by a taller, more athletic attacker.

    I live in a private sub division in the MidAtlantic. I have a conceal carry permit and those of us that do took the test (course) and know the Primary ‘Rule” if we need to use our weapon.
    Why is Zimmerman in Jail?? Someone answer me that.
    The State has no case, some one post a link to Florida law if I am wrong. TY

      The only reason he is in jail is due to massive pressure from the DOJ under Holder for a case and an example to be made of Zimmerman. Political prosecution, nothing more and nothing less.

      Guns are the enemy of the DOJ and the Obama administration. In order to do what ever they want in this country, they must have an unarmed, undefended population. Fast and Furious appears to be a simple plan to get as many people in Mexico killed with American guns as possible to tarnish gun dealers and the 2nd amendment. It was not meant to be revealed that the Administration bought the guns with stimulus money and that the guns were directly traceable to them and not to the gun dealers. There were no tracking devices on the guns as in Bush’s program. There was no discernible attempt to track them, it was just a matter of waiting until they turned up at murder scenes. They are at the very least guilty of manslaughter. The fact that they did it on purpose raises the level of responsibility to criminal. THAT is what the President and Holder do not want exposed. It is much worse than any previous scandal.

      I would add to that…the powers that be, along with the lying and complicit media, hide and extremely minimize the huge numbers of black crime and violence. They have to look really hard for “white” on black crime and that’s why they swooped in on this story. My heart just breaks for Z because he’s been accosted and treated totally unfairly by these creeps, just for political gain. That very much includes that POS proscecuting atty in FL.       You’re lumping in Gays, Atheists and Muslims with Bad black Americans. Instead, you should use Black Americans, or change the 1st three to Bad Gays, Bad Atheists and Bad Muslims. Gays, Atheists and Muslims who do not commit crimes and who do not bother/alter your life in any ways certainly are not equivalent to Bad black Americans. Likewise, we don’t pander to Bad black Americans, only Black Americans which may be inclusive of bad ones, but those are not the target of the pandering.

    I live in a private subdivision, in the mid-Atlantic, I have a Carry Permit, anyone that has one took the test and passed ( I hope) so those of us that have a concealed carry permit Know what the Primary “RULE” is if you ever need to use it in self defense.
    My question is simple, and I welcome any answer with an open mind.
    Why is Zimmerman in jail? Thats my question. I also have a statement.
    The State has no grounds to arrest him, someone post a link to Florida Law if I’m Wrong.

      I imagine he had other rounds to make. Is he supposed to quit what he is doing so the Trevon Martins can have the stree to themselves? No, Zimmerman had reason to be on the street. Martin may have had a right to be on the street, depending upon his motivations,, but he had no right to feel he was above being watched or questioned when that community was in bad enough shape to have to have community watch. Some people think they are above the law or too good to be questioned because they are so paranoid they think they are being questioned or want to make it look like they are being questioned because they are black. It is time to stop that silliness. People are being robbed, maimed and even killed. That is why they have community watch. Cooperation is the key on both sides to make this community watch effective. No one has the right to intimidate a neighborhood and act like they own it when bad things are happening. Someone failed to teach that young man understanding and respect for authority because of all this black if pitiful rhetoric. That race card is not meaningful if someone is dead. That is not going to play. It is a trajedy, but one that could have been avoided if proper respect for community watch was observed and there was not an enormous chip on the kid’s shoulder. It was a pattern. It is there in his profile, a pattern of disrespect. There must be a better way to teach youth than to teach them they are always being singled out and looked down on. It is a lie.

If Martin WAS a burglar, the more possible witness evidence Zimmerman can gain, the more likely a conviction, were that the case. Do you even know the story?       People in the neighborhood said blacks kept burglarizing the area and the cops never got there in time to catch them. Z stayed on the phone so he could try and keep track of the thug who was looking into windows and acting wierd while (we now know) was drinking the purple stuff and had been smoking pot.     This man has had the media photoshop him in pictures to cover up injuries and media to doctor tapes on emergency calls, etc. This man has been treated worse than any person who was simply trying to do his duty as community watch. This man has been threatened, treated like dirt and had a bunch of blacks who did not even live in the community use his trouble to promote their political agendas and that community, cowards that they are, stood by and allow one of their own citizens to be treated like he was the thug. Well, News Flash: You people and your community are not worth even passing through, because something is the matter with people who cannot see the truth in this scenario. This man did not deserve the treatment and lack of respect you showed him. If you people ever keep a community watch again, it would surprise me. I certainly would not volunteer for it there. Grow a backbone and stand up for one of your own who was volunteering to help keep your streets safe.

    They have attempted to make Zimmerman take the fall for saving his own life. Those prosecutors are cowards who have allowed this man to go through this and illegally detain him without just cause. They should have had that determined before that prosecutor tried to hang a false charge on him. I hope he sues the heck out of all of them. They knew he could is why they tried to make him a liar on this case because of the bond case. They put him in that position in the first place. Those cowards, instead of standing up for a community watch officer, threw him under the bus when the chips were down. I do not advise anyone to volunteer for community watch. Let them hire some more cops and/or let the place go to the criminals. All the decent people can just move out and let that little community of cowards fend for themselves.

      Zimmerman’s space was the community and the watch he committed to do. Zimmerman was doing his job and Trevon was doing his job as a potential black thug-want-to-be, so here we have a meeting of the mind and mindless. When this happens, mindless goes south. Evidence is there to back up Zimmerman, plus he was working his community officer job, and he comes across a potential threat at that time of morning. He had a right to follow. How else is he going to do his job? No one should owe an explaination to idiots, so try to take a lesson from this when you are new in a community. All things are not as easy to take over as you do not know the areas as well in your own community where you can case, rob and steal as easy. If there is no problem, then walk, skip and wallow in puddles if you want at 3;00 or so in the morning, but do not expect to be out from under the cloud of suspicion if you cannot account at times for doing the rain walk, in the dark of morning acting suspicious. Especially if you are not a familar face of any color. Your blackness or ethnics does not allow for you to play the race card. Just do what you should do and be respectful and you get a pass. Did you know ever hear that a kind word will diminish anger that can escalate into violence? Why be defensive over nothing. The man was doing his community watch service. Trevon Martin was did not get a pass because he was black.

      He told us all about his higher learning experience. How he spent a good deal of his free time getting drunk with girls. And then he got his “paper” and that was cool.

      But the one thing that he really wanted all of us to know, was that in the entire four years of college, he never really felt like he was being indoctrinated

      Lie Detector results are admissable for the defense, not the prosecution. In a recent murder case (Zarabozo) the 11th Circuit Court of Miami determined that polygraph evidence submitted by the defense was admissible

      @Steelheadisadouche Super weak inference here. The KID was carrying a bag of skittles and an ice tea. Him smoking pot once in a while places him in a rather high percent of the population of 17-18 yr. olds. So you would assert that kids who have tattoos, smoke pot once and a while, and “wander” back to their aunts home are thugs and should be shot by the G. Zimmermans of the world. And this is what you learned in the church group you attended.

    Two possible outcomes: 1) Zimmerman railroaded into a guilty verdict and life inprisonment, 2) Zimmerman is found not guilty and race riots begin. I wonder which outcome would be preferred by Obama. And by the way, Gonzo is absolutely correct. Why has there been no gag order?
