Report: Gingrich to End Campaign Tuesday

Report: Gingrich to End Campaign Tuesday

AP

Newt Gingrich is expected to suspend his campaign for president on Tuesday, May 1, Fox News reported Wednesday.

A senior campaign aide told the network the former House Speaker will “more than likely” endorse Mitt Romney at that time.

According to CNN, Gingrich will announce the end of his presidential bid during an event in Washington, D.C., “surrounded by his family and supporters.”

The reports come after Romney swept all five presidential primaries Tuesday, leading to increased speculation Gingrich would drop out.

Gingrich previously vowed to remain in the race for the Republican nomination until the GOP convention in August.

Ron Paul said earlier this week he too would remain in the race until the convention, even if Romney secures the 1,144 delegates required to clinch the nomination.

      Translation:
Time to sacrifice your principles (if you had any in the first place), fall in line with the establishment gun grabbing, bailout bank supported candidate, and comfort yourself with idiocy like “well at least he’s not a commie” remarks.

The fact that Santorum and Newt said ALL those things about Romney, and are going to turn around and support him, means they never had any real conviction in the first place. The fact that many of you will do the same, says the same about you.
Both of them will probably get bailouts from Romrhoid for their in debt campaigns. And you thought they were somehow going to help fix the financial disaster that is surely coming this way.

I am not that thrilled about Romney at this stage but Nobama is not and could Never be a option. Newt should have been out long ago and why he did not is more a personnel issue with Romney that actually helping dethroning Nobama and in my opinion hurt the process. I do believe however that Romney does have what it takes to overcome any negitives. My suggestion stick to Nobamas Failures and let the LEFT to the Chaos Rhetoric and Smoke and Mirrors. This regime woke up Voters and that will be their big mistake. November 2012 will simply be the choise of Capitolism vs Socialism and the 53 % that still pay for the rest should be enough. He’ll secure the borders in 6 mos, scale down and give back to the States Dept of Education.Gingrich should be somewhere in this mix as should Santorum.Gingrich should do what he talked about in his campaign.Follow up Obama’s speeches the very next day with a rebuttal and truth telling campaign instead of allowing Obama to tell the lies that he continues to spew.Make Gingrich an active paid part of the campaign to defeat this Progressive-Marxist currently in office.

your heads in the right place, but reality suggests it may be a tad too far in the clouds to hope for.

Any sitting president stuck at 45% in the polls is toast. Romney has only been the nominee for about a week and he’s already beating Obama in several Rasmussen polls.

Knock it off and take a pill.———————————–

Romney has been the presumptive nominee for years…if you’ve been listening to the media and GOP…where have you been?

But, 6 years and millions of dollars later He can’t get plurality in a head to head with any other candidate if you set aside the “winner take all” delegate counts…the other candidates smoked him county by county…but no one talks about that.

and in the blue areas where he won, he depressed the vote count….real nice.

All that harbingers a loss for the oval office. The last voice of the people will rest in the houses of congress.

take a pill you say? well , swallow this; I’ll write in my ballot for president and shovel hard for the conservatives down the ticket….I can live with control of the house and senate, and not the oval….I cannot live with another liberal of another stripe parsing his way into the oval office to manage the decline.

We can storm the congresses, and get real leadership….Rubio – senate majority leader, Ryan – speaker of the house (not my first choice). Boener/McConnel must go….and please show lindsay grahm the door

In the latest Rasmussen poll Ron Paul beat Obama where Romney only tied him. Just think if the ABO crowd joined Ron Paul. You people dont seem to understand that without Paul’s supporters Romney cannot win. If you really want ABO then Paul is your only shot.

Romney only one these beauty contests because he averaged outspending the others 10 to 1. He will not have that luxury against Obama. If you really want Obama out you need to go with a candidate different from Obama. Not a paler shade of the Obama.

Paul received a whopping 4 delegates last night. Current count is Romney with 838, Santorum 267, Gingrich 141 and Paul with an impressive 88. Pennsylvania numbers are not yet in. Paul has 7 per cent of the delegates. Even if you split Gingrich and Santorum 50/50 that would add 204 delegates that choose Paul as a distant second place. Highly unlikely in that Gingrich and Santorum will NOT endorse Paul. Those are the facts. Paul’s chance of the nomination are as good as the fluke basketball shot posted today on the Blaze.

Who makes you the diviner in chief that knows how anyone feels about anyone? You continue to whine because your guy cannot win, then say I’m taking my marbles and going home. You would see Obama elected to “teach a lesson” to those who don’t agree that Paul would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. You folks will never gain traction in the Republican party because of your foreign policy stance. Your homework is wrong. I have never been a in a party other than the GOP. Since the GOP is going left the true conservatives are trying to wake up people like you.

A recent Rasmussen poll had Ron Paul beating Obama, and Romney in a tie with Obama. Romney will not win without the Ron Paul supporters. Ron Paul supporters are not going to support Romney. So if you really want to get rid of Obama, Ron Paul is your only option. Also remember Ron Paul still polls this way with the entire media against him (talk radio) most importantly and he also isnt funded by banks like Romney. Romney draws crowds of 100s, Ron Paul draws crowds of 1000s. The GOP needs excitement to take on Obama. Romney doesnt have it. If the ABO crowd and the GOP money get behind Paul he destroys Obama because Obama cannot attack Ron Paul. On the other side, Romney cannot attack Obama without being a hypocrite.

sad; well, there goes that…mitt steers us toward a slow, sloppy swirl around the drain. at least newt gave us a chance to challenge the establishment at the convention….all of you who said it was to feed his ego naively miss the point entirely. there were plenty of delegates left out there to starve mitt from the finish line. there are still yet plenty of contested delegates left to pull us from the mitt. newt was fighting for the possibility of anybody but mitt (even if it meant not newt).

newt was there to carry that vehicle forward to enable not just himself, but the will of the grassroots people so that their voice was just a strong as the back door shenanigans in ND and elsewhere, and enough to shake the establishment. a contested convention also left the chicago machine with no one to directly attack, further exposing the administrations record. that is a good thing. now everyone but us has control of the narrative…

At least newt had bold ideas to turn this country around….mitt picks at the edges of the tax code while espousing the same sh*t obamao does. mitt has yet to challenge the administration on a single thing, while newt had the white house press office occupied on a daily basis…on REAL solutions based issues. mitt’s too cowardly to even mention the agencies he would dismantle, while the rest of the candidates did so by name….and yet we hear the echo of obama when mitt says he’ll “consolidate”….folks that’s growth of government by default

Ron Paul cuts 1 trillion off current spending levels. Mitt/Obama 2012 dont cut current spending levels.

Ron Paul ends the pointless wars. Mitt/Obama 2012 continue them.

Ron Paul beings to phase out the FED. Mitt/Obama 2012 campaign is funded by big banks.

Ron Paul is for American citizens freedom. Mitt/Obama 2012 are for the NDAA, gun control, the TSA, and the Patriot Act.

Ron Paul is for us to stop giving foreign aid to countries. Mitt/Obama 2012 are for continuing the aid even to countries that hate us.

Ron Paul is pro life. Mitt/Obama 2012 are for keeping existing laws going.

You cannot deny that Mitt and Obama are pretty much clones policy wise. Ron Paul is the opposite. You cannot honestly say Ron Paul is anything like that without being a liar. Stop the nonsense boys, neither of you can be that dumb.

MUTINY. Ron Paul is a seditious subversive, and a damn near treasonous one at that. I could care what his platform is. He needs to be run out of the United States along with Obama and his wife along with a number of other leftists who hate our country.

But as THAT won’t happen… so house arrest is just fine for his treachery just to keep him and them away from those of us who DO love our country. Of course this is just my opinion without any spin.

In what way has he committed treason? That is a asinine comment.

Saying we spend to much money isnt treason. Its a fact.

Putting out a budget that cuts current spending levels isnt treason. Its smart.

Saying we were attacked on 911 for our foreign policy isnt treason. Its a fact.

Saying the government is taking our freedoms for so called protection/control isnt treason. Its a fact.

Wanting us out of the UN isnt treason. Its smart.

Wanting to phase out the FED isnt treason. Its smart.

You know I would like to take back the comment about you cannot be this dumb. Maybe I was wrong.

MUTINY. A guy with a screen name MUTINY denying that Ron Paul hasn’t rhetorically given “aid and comfort to the enemy” during armed conflict is what I would truly consider asinine. But as I wrote “damn near”, he still needs to work on the other 3 areas demanded by the Supreme Court. But I‘m sure he’ll come up with something once he gets the big slap down again this election cycle and becomes even more unhinged in August. You heard it here first… Ron Paul becomes EVEN MORE unhinged.

Paul does nothing because he will not get the nomination let alone the presidency.
As an exercise in “what if” .
What if he were the president?
The fed would get audited, but not eliminated because the Democrats would not allow it.
War Powers act remains the same as no one in congress wants the political fallout for an unpopular war, or one that could become unpopular.
The government stays roughly the same size unless REPUBLICANS control both houses.
The cuts don’t get done unless REPUBLICANS control both houses.
We are electing a President not a King or Dictator.
Ron was an ineffectual congressman and would be a ineffectual President because he cannot garner enough support to MAKE anything happen. 24 years and he couldn’t get the fed audited.
I am not saying he is not RIGHT about alot of things, he is, but he cannot single handedly make these ideas into action, ask Obama.

Ron Paul is a good man of high moral principle, just because he tells the truth and delivers the tough medicine that people don’t want to hear is a testament to his moral fortitude. He is a true patriot despite your ignorance of foreign policy. The elite have done an excellent job in convincing you of a boogy man thats always out to get you to the point that you don’t understand that it would be better off for us not to engage in endless wars in third world countries that frankly we could exterminate in a matter of minutes. He has stated several times that he would defend this country if it were really threatened and actually get a declaration of war to go in and mop up the threat very quickly. But you must be one of the types that like endless wars so you got something to watch on CNN for some cheap entertainment. These wars have nothing to do with national defense rather they hide the true objectives under the cloak of patriotism to reshape the non NWO complying countries into a manageable form so they can set up more central banks and have more central planning. Romney and Obama are simply puppets to help enforce what the elite socialist agenda dictates.

Gingrich: Proof you can only do away with a narcissist, by shoving the proof of his failure in his face.

When Santorum began winning state after state behind Romney, that should have given him a clue to step out and let the both of them fight it out. Nope, he wanted to be the 3rd wheel. His ego couldn’t handle not being in the spotlight….

South Carolina got it right Sorry.
Newt Led Romney by 18 points going into Florida.
Mitt spent 17 million on negative ads in Florida.
to defeat Newt. Which gave Santorum the chance
to be the Anyone but Romney even though He was
never going to be the Nominee.
We wasted 2 months on Santorum an ended up with Romney.

Finally! It’s sad seeing candidates spend money and drag things on when the game for them is OBVIOUSLY over to everyone else! There is a time to gracefully admit defeat. Gingrich is a bit late in the game, but at least it’s finally coming. Sorry to RP fans, but he just looks very foolish.

Yep, RP looks very foolish since he picked up half of the delegates in Iowa and half in MN. Newt got out because with RP taking half the delegates in states, he was going to take them away from Romney giving Paul the majority in those states. Now, Romney will POSSIBLY get the other half if all the rest go to him (Romney.) But, if RP picks up even one of Newts, it gives Paul the majority. So, again.. yes. VERY foolish for Paul to stay in to the end.

He knows what kind of campaign Obama will run and he’s already started to innoculate himself from the Plouffe/Axelrod/DNC/Union smear machine. Good for Romney. His line last night was golden…”it’s still the economy…and we’re not stupid”. Romney fired the democrats’ own weapon back at them. Brilliant stuff.
