Report: In Rare Move Obama Overruled Lawyers on Libya Air War

WASHINGTON (AP) — The New York Times is reporting that President Barack Obama decided he could continue the air war in Libya without congressional approval despite views to the contrary from Justice Department and Pentagon lawyers.
The newspaper reported Friday in its online edition that the president relied instead on the opinions of other senior administration lawyers that continuing U.S. participation in the air operations against the regime of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi did not constitute “hostilities,” triggering the need for congressional permission under the War Powers Resolution.
Presidents can ignore the advice of the Office of Legal Counsel, the paper reported, but rarely do so.
The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Associated Press.

Just think, he could issue executive order to stop obamacare, open carry weapons, no registration(i am in favor of these). This is going down a road the democrats will surly regret. Congress must step up and make this administration stop or we will most certainly lose this country. If laws are not followed, then congress is no longer relevant and we lose control.

Yet with Mr Obama, we already have seen the precident he has many times used – when a law is inconveinent, he just declares it to be unconstitiutional and goes ahead with his plans anyhow.
Indeed the Congress has long been irrelevent to his matters; he apperantly is now done trying to do things with the apperance of Congress having a say in the matter with his cronies pulling the strings in the shadows…he is now more and more desperate and moving into the open with his agenda and means to destruct the nation.
God help us indeed now, for while we have reached a turning point; may the people wake up enough and rise enough with conviction and determination to win the nation back by city, county, state, and nation in the elections to come.

The Declaration of Independence is VERY clear as what the citizens are supposed to do. I know we have all done the right thing by getting involved, attending town halls, Tea parties, write letters, calls congress, go to local meetings,etc. We voted and did things by the books but these people have taken over and are now blatantly stealing, cheating and abusing their powers.
This seems like a “win -win” for them… we do nothing, they win, we do something they win. So we have resorted to prayer several years ago and now this is all brought to light we have a choice…but what? Something has to be done before we are totally isolated from each other and cut off from every avenue of freedom. Our founders wrote the Declaration for a reason and they knew that Freedom would be twisted, perverted and eventually be stolen from the people. They knew….they were brilliant group of men who were, I believe, divinely inspired and directed by God. Whom do we follow…a group of Marxists/Progressives or God and those he inspired? How?

It’s certainly easy enough to contact them, including the posturing and pandering Boehner. Can’t believe the spineless speaker is golfing with the potus. Boehner actually believes pandering to the prez will earn him brownie points. Sheeez! The potus knows how weak Beohner is and has ZERO respect for him.
I’m wondering how hard it would be for congress to fire Boehner and Cantor? Until those two whiny little wimps are thrown out either via congress or via election, they can certainly keep hearing from America about how unacceptable they are — about how many ways they are lacking the “Don’t Tread On Me” Guts Of Our Founders and to either ManUp or Get Out Of The Way!

He went by the UN Resolution’s Right to protect act and he will use the UN Resolution again to go after Israel. Obama knows congress stands with BIBI and Israel and he will need a way around congress, this is it!
