Report: Islamic Honor Killings on the Rise in the West

In recent years, honor killings have been gaining increasing attention in media. One women’s rights group reports that more than 2,800 deaths were reported across the United Kingdom last year, alone. Unfortunately, the official numbers are tough to nail down, considering that many of these crimes go unreported.

According to a new report from CBN, Islamic honor killings are on the rise in the West. This trend, which is illustrated in the report through some disturbing anecdotal examples, is apparently developing as more Muslims migrate to Western countries. CBN has more:

Although honor violence is sometimes committed by Hindus and Sikhs, it is usually a Muslim on Muslim crime. One study found that 91 percent of honor killings were committed by Muslims.

Among the examples given in a disturbing video report, a Canadian woman was strangled by her father after refusing to wear a headscarf and an Italian woman’s throat was slit by her father. Additionally, in another example, two sisters were shot by their father in a New York taxi.

These crimes, which are dubbed instances of “honor violence,” were motivated by victims going against their parents’ wishes, becoming to Westernized or trying to leave Islam, among other reasons. Shame and dishonor, thus, led the women’s families to take horrific action.

IKWRO writes:

The perpetrators of ‘honour’ crimes tend to be close family members of their victims, who are, more often than not, female. What they have in common is that the victim’s personal conduct is thought to have brought shame on her family.  Reasons for this perceived dishonour have been known to be anything from refusing an arranged marriage, seeking a divorce, beginning a relationship that the family does not approve of or even being the victim of a sexual assault.

      I don’t see Talmudic scholars demanding the deaths of their own children.

      Site the chapter and verse of the Talmud that compels murder. Yes, there are the cursings of former Jews who became Christians, but outright murder — no. And today, no Jew practices those curses any more because Christianity is viewed by Jews as a separate religion, no longer a “child gone wrong” offshoot of Judaism.

    We had an honor killing here in the Dallas area over Christmas. Of course none of the local news stations identified it as such. They’re way too left wing liberal to do that. Dumba$$ muslim killed six family members and then himself.

    As long as it‘s muslims killing muslims I’m OK with it. Just like gang-bangers killing each other. Who cares. Now if you bring it to my neighborhood it’s not going to end well for you.

      I cannot think of anyting that is incorrect in this blog. That they “think” murder is the answer is the problem. There is no honor in murder, that anyone can accept a “religion” that is ok with this is either brain washed or stupid. I have finally come to the conclusion that this is not a religion, but a very evil, mind controling cult. Mohammed must have been a very, very sick, evil person who worked for the opposite of God.     Anyone notice the word italian involved here.Reread it.I’m well aware of the muslims ability to pretend to be other nationalities.For every crime imaginable.I’m just wondering if any of the rest of you are?
    By the way they used the Italians and la costra nostra as a front when they layed the groundwork for one of the nastiest crimes around.It was done in the fifties and sixties.they knew all the domestic badges would salivate at a take down of the mob.It was part of spotlight and deflection.The original crime was commited in the military and thrown off into the domestic sectorThe original targets and their familys had no connection to the mob.They however were in a position where the enemy of the state could target them.Work for the military you will be a target for this enemy the rest of your life.So will your family,for the rest of theirs.

I don’t get your point. Jews were persecuted in Germany and Europe long before WWII, and before WWI. Try Centuries. BTW this was a non-violent protest. What they got in return was dehumanization and genocide. Do you actually feel that the Nazi’s were in the right?     Honor killings, running into a Jewish person with a shopping cart with the blessing of a USA judge, this country doesn’t even look like our country anymore!! When we outlawed those terrible 10 Commandments from the court house, schools and public square we as a country are so scared that someone would read, thou shalt not kill and not kill, WOW I think that one covers the honor killing problem. And then there is that dastardly Bible verse that says love your neighbor as yourself, I think that would cover running a person over with a shopping cart. Kinda like saying to God, get out and take your commandments and Bible with you, we can do a better job. Well,this not a better job, and God may just turn us over to our own vile affections. Just love those “honor killings” what is next, killing the infidel and maybe running over a baby girl walking in the middle of the street, with the blessing of a taxpayer paid judge, gotta love this stuff!!

      Yeah tell me about it.I’ve run out of american places to stop or shop.I fortunately can go out of area.Otherwise I’d be screwed.They know we are on to them here, though.They don’t advertise themselves as being muslim or mid eastern.They now are hididng behind a veil of being portugese.Sad to, since we do have a small population of true portugeses ,that are hard working and some of the better shop owners around.Truly down to earth and very kind.Unfortunately, due to the enemy hiding behind them, I can‘t tell the difference and won’t stop or shop there any more.
