NEW YORK (AP) — The Nation magazine is reporting that former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs relied on illegal immigrants to help maintain his homes even as he spoke out on the air against them.
The Nation said the article, published online Thursday, is based on a yearlong investigation including interviews with five immigrants who worked without papers on Dobbs’ properties in New Jersey and Florida.
Dobbs said in an interview Thursday the article is “a political assault” based on what he called “the lie” that he has hired illegal immigrants. He says: “I have never, do not now, and never will.”
Dobbs was host of a weeknight news and commentary hour on CNN until abruptly resigning last November after 29 years with the network. He continues to host a syndicated radio show.

The Nation magazine has no fear of further discrediting itself as it’s creditiblity cannot be any lower. The absurdity of the articles found in the Nation read like comedy. Why anyone would be concerned about claims made against Lou Dobbs with regard to immigration from the likes of The Nation is beyond me.

Where is the outrage here? The SEIU should be the culprit here and the government backing them makes the government the bad guy. So if there is a crime here it’s the government as usual. Lou Dobbs apparently did not hire these people directly. If I hire a plumber, I’m not going to ask the people who show up at my house for their social security numbers and w-4′s. It is clearly a case of misdirection and putting the blame on someone that obviously had no contact with hiring theses people.

How many times are we going to let them make demands in our face before we say “enough get the hell out“? We can find plenty of people out there who are wanting and deserving to be here. Those who would be grateful and glad to be productive citizens and uphold our laws instead of snubbing their noses at us like it doesn’t mean anything to be a lawful citizen. While we’re giving them the boot I hope we maintain the presents of mind to boot those who used and supported them in their demands and failed to uphold the laws for immigration.
