Report: Obama Secretly Signals Iran It Can Have a Nuke Program If It Doesn’t Pursue Weapons

David Ignatius of the Washington Post levies an interesting charge in today’s Washington Post: President Obama recently used the Turkish prime minister to deliver a secret message to Iran. That message? Iran can keep a domestic nuclear program as long as it doesn’t it to pursue nuclear weapons.
From Ignatius’s column:
President Obama has signaled Iran that the United States would accept an Iranian civilian nuclear program if Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei can back up his recent public claim that his nation “will never pursue nuclear weapons.”
This verbal message was sent through Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who visited Khamenei last week. A few days before traveling to Iran, Erdogan had held a two-hour meeting with Obama in Seoul, in which they discussed what Erdogan would tell the ayatollah about the nuclear issue and Syria.
Obama advised Erdogan that the Iranians should realize that time is running out for a peaceful settlement and that Tehran should take advantage of the current window for negotiations. Obama didn’t specify whether Iran would be allowed to enrich uranium domestically as part of the civilian program the United States would endorse. That delicate issue evidently would be left for the negotiations that are supposed to start April 13, at a venue yet to be decided.
Erdogan is said to have replied that he would convey Obama’s views to Khamenei, and it’s believed he did so when he met the Iranian leader on Thursday. Erdogan also met President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other senior Iranian officials during his visit.

My understanding was that all countries are allowed to pursue nuclear power plants – but nuclear missiles are a different story because of that ‘non-proliferation pact’

Why won’t Israel sign the NNPT? Obama urged Israel to sign the NNPT back in 2010, but they didn’t. Iran has a right to develop nuclear power just like every country does. And by what authority we should dictate who is and who is not able to utilize such technology. Our time, money and effort is best spent on improving the US. Individuals who would rather spend their time on ideological BS rants than actually balancing the federal financial picture for real. Which means calling the deficit what it is. SS and Medicare were solvent so it was they were not the problem. It was military spending, particularly on unfunded wars as well as spending on IT and infrastructure. Fixing the picture means a combination of across the board spending cuts, ending of all corporate tax breaks and a tax surcharge on the wealthy that is earmarked to the deficit. SS and Medicare are easily fixed by a means test, elimination of the salary cap and small adjustments to the applicable funding rates.

Posted on April 6, 2012 at 12:31pmThey have enriched to 20% . It only takes around 3% enrichment for nuclear power plants. This enrichment is NOT for peaceful purposes. It takes 90% for the big bombs, and they are currently settng up thousands of centrifuges. It is “estimated” that they will have bomb material for 4 bombs ready in 18 months or so at the current rate of enrichment. All they need to do is explode the right atmospheric bomb over the US and fry our circuits and power transfer stations, etc. will all go down, etc. If done correctly, it could take years to repair the damage caused by stragetically located atmospheric bombs. Iran is getting covert help from China. Iran has already tested an atmospheric explosion by rocket. Iran has been sending ships off our west coast testing our response. A rocket launched by ship doesn’t need to travel as far. On the east coast, DC is “on the water.” As a side note Congress will not budget 150 million dollars to make these power stations immune from massive solar flares, that periodically hit the earth (about 45k/station). If these stations go down the nuclear power plants currently operating wcould easily “overload.”
What more do we need to know, besides NoBama is off-track and putting the US in jeopardy for his own personal agenda, and fears to making a decision he can‘t blame on Bush that doesn’t guarantee success.

I’m very aware of who Benedict Arnold was and all of his treasonous acts right along with his claim of Fort Ticonderoga. I’m also aware of the hangings and firing squads held by the Great General Washington during the Revolutionary War for acts of Treason and Desertion during times of great hardships, caused by a Continental Congress that seemed at times not to care for those fighting for their Independence, by not making sure those fighting had everything they needed to win the war. If it wasn’t for the French and their money, along with the bravery of all that fought, the families that sacrificed everything, and a few Congressmen that actually got off their b**t and took care of business the Revolutionary War would have been lost.
What we have today is what most citizens had at the beginning of the Revolutionary War, A Tyrant in office with the support of a Progressive Senate (Parliament). This November is crucial to the survival of the United States that is represented through the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights. All we have in Washington D.C. is the House of Representatives and the Supreme Court defending and upholding the U.S. Constitution and the Rights of the People, Novembers election will be the beginning of something very dark in nature, or Freedom and Liberty for all.

It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.
HOW MANY TIMES has Obama violated this Act? What is wrong with the congress that they are too should we say ..CHICKEN… to start impeaching proceedings against this person who is destroying America? Or is it congress is in with him whole hog?
