Report: Rodney King Died From Accidental Drowning — Also Had Alcohol, Cocaine, Marijuana & PCP in His Blood

Rodney King died in June of an accidental drowning, though alcohol, cocaine, marijuana and PCP in his system were contributing factors to his death, CNN reported.

King’s autopsy results had been expected Thursday, more than two months after police officers in Rialto, Calif. pulled the 47-year-old out of the bottom of his pool on June 17. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police at the time said there was no indication of foul play and were treating the case as a drowning death. King’s fiance had called 911 at about 5:30 a.m. reporting she had found him in the pool.

Rialto Police Capt. Randy De Anda told CNN the autopsy results were consistent with the police investigation’s conclusion.

King was the black motorist severely beaten by Los Angeles police officers during a traffic stop in 1991, with the officers’ subsequent acquittal touching off the deadly 1992 Los Angeles riots.

Ron Paul is right. Rodney King destroyed his life WHILE IT WAS ILLEGAL, so obviously the results of the drug war does not justify the cost.

Rodney might not have been speeding away in the first place if there was no threat to put him in jail for years for possession?

The government rarely does anything well, and to put them in charge of protecting ourselves from ourselves is crazy. Once you do it with drugs, the next is alcohol and then food.

We all have probably known people waste their life on drugs and they were able to do that while it was illegal. The government does not want to legalize it since it is a great business for all the the officials in the drug war business. We have over a million people in jail for non violent drug charges, and I don’t want to pay for them anymore. What about the reports that we are backing certain drug cartels, and helping them fight other drug cartels, and allowing them to bring drugs in?

If we legalize all drugs we will strip the government of allot of power. The billions saved could be used for treatment and education. Besides ones we make it legal the prices would drop, and one could not make any more money dealing drugs, and the lost youths could not have the easy access to quick money and would learn to get a real job like the rest of us.

      NO MORE NANNY STATE

I didn’t see anything in this article that even infers the premise that he deserved being beat down in 1991. Now if a person is on PCP and Cocaine…they do not feel pain or react like they should..and he wasn’t some boyscout minding his own business either… IF just pointing out what the man had in his system when he died makes this website racist – wow…seriously? I know there are racists that make comments on this website and I take them to task everytime. I don’t need people like that masquarading like they share my values. The article was just stating facts…if you get all testy about it makes me wonder where your mind is at. He finally had a bundle of money and still didn’t change his lifestyle. Guess what I’m saying, is a hoodlum is always a hoodlum with our without money. Rodney King was better man than when he 1st became known nationally. Just because a person doesn’t defeat their demons does not make them a horrible person without redemption.

Rodney King was not a Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Leornard Jeffries, Louis Farahkhan, Spike Lee going after other groups because of their inherent racism & talking of ice people & sun people.

Many if not most people in this society are addicted to drugs from food (obesity), Nicotine, sex (client #9), etc. It causes them to go to their graves prematurely or cause other chaos. Some people are into religion for the high it gives them instead of just living religiously for its’ own sake to live a clean life.

May Rodney King Rest in Peace.

The people we should be mad at are the news media who give us CLIPS. they edit all events leading up to an event they want to slant. Those are the people who we should reserve contempt & condemnation. They are still a live & still editing, slanting & shading.

Rodney King was a big man hopped up on drugs during the incident. Tazers were not going to bring him down.

The people to arrest were the news media for mob action. They showed extremely edited clips. A few times they showed more lengthy clips but that did not make their case. So they purposely stopped showing the longer clip & showed the shorter one. It was a conscientious decision to try to win political points & shape America.

If it means a 100 people go to jail from the news organizations, then so be it. Life imprisonment would be just.
