Report: Russian Spy Anna Chapman Came Close to Ensnaring Obama Cabinet Official

Anna Chapman, one of the Russian spies arrested in 2010, is said to be a minimal national security threat. The New York Times reported that the she traded in “routine political gossip and policy talk,” and passed along her messages over the Internet for the world (and the FBI) to see.
However, new reports suggest she may have been more adept than we gave her credit for. In fact, she even coming close to ensnaring a member of Obama’s cabinet.
Though the potentially susceptible official remains unnamed, the assistant FBI director for counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi is now saying she was,”close enough [to the administration's inner-circle] to disturb [the FBI].” More specifically, he said, “They were getting close enough to a sitting U.S. cabinet member that we thought we could no longer allow this to continue.”
Chapman was working undercover in Manhattan and DC until her arrest. When she wasn’t playing spy, she was allegedly partying at trendy events and posting pictures of herself on Facebook.
And her career failure hasn’t dishonored her in her home country. She has become something of a celebrity back in Russia, becoming the face of a Moscow bank in October 2010, appearing in Playboy in January 2011, and modeling in Russian Fashion Week just last month.
Though the FBI assures that the situation is completely under control, many are left wondering who the young spy set her sights on, and who nearly fell for it?

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 4:17pmBS alert. For one, the person in question wasn’t Chapman. And second, the closest she got to “ensnaring” a cabinet members was being in contact with someone who knew a cabinet member. Some British newspaper made up the rest.
Third, if it had been Chapman and she’s made my acquaintance, I would have told her anything she wanted to know once we got to know one another.

JZS has added another day of posting to his mission of intolerance towards people he despises. For over a year he has adopted the strategy of those who seek out gay bars to impose their views on those they see as inferior.
Like gay bashers, JZS’s lack of tolerance has allowed him to devote over a year of his life to self righteously poking his finger in the chest of those with different views. WHY IS THAT? He knows this is a conservative site but can’t control his desire to seek out and belittle the “uneducated.”
Like the gay bashers, he just can’t help himself. His limited world view does not allow him to let people hold opposing views free from his harassment. What would make a grown person seek out groups of people that hold different opinions and mock and berate them? I would ask a gay basher but I don’t know any.

Second, this is a public forum. I take it you want some comfortable place to give your opinions on the internet where anyone in the world can see your ideas, but without any possibility that someone would challenge them. There probably are places like that, but the Blaze lets anyone post, even if they might hurt someone else’s feelings. Heaven know enough people try to do that to me, not to mention simply disagreeing me, although that’s mostly a secondary motivation and usually not part of the posts.
Find yourself a nice comfortable place where everyone agrees with you. But if you want to post your opinions somewhere on the internet where disagreements aren’t allowed, find somewhere else to post, although I’m not sure where that would be. I’m not sure why a grown man or woman would put their ideas out there and be surprised if – get this! – someone disagrees with them.
Look, it’s okay to be conservative and gay, if that’s your situation. I don’t have a problem with either part. But man up for goodness sake!

While I don’t usually agree with JZS, he often presents a thought-provoking view and as such provides value to the conversation. He is not a troll employing “gay bar” tactics (that’s a new expression to me, I must say), he just presents his own opinion. And often cops a bit of flak for it.
Also, to suggest that this is a conservative site, implying that only people that agree with you should be permitted to post comments, displays a breath-taking arrogance and a dangerously closed mind.
You, who signed up a little over a month ago, should take a little longer to observe a persons character and philosophy before launching into a rather unpleasant, and uncalled for, character assassination.

She appointed a LaRaza member to her 2008 campaign (as well as Maggie Williams — look her up and the Secret Service testimony regarding Vince Foster), her rant about Jews as reported y that trooper years ago, her vote against Israel last year, saying Israel was an illegitimate state, speaking with Islamists earlier this year who want to silence U.S. freedom of speech over Islamic talk, the newsletter she wrote for and interviewed radical for in university, her current association with Obama, and some other things I don’t recall off the top of my head.
