Terrorists Used Heroin to Numb Pain Caused By Suicide AttacksA new report takes the concept of “self-medicating” to bizarre levels. Saudi Arabian officials are alleging that, in recent years, terrorists may have taken heroin to ease pain during suicide attacks.

The results of laboratory tests, at the least, seem to confirm that these individuals who have implemented attacks in Saudi Arabia have used the drug.

This startling report — which raises some intriguing questions about the mental states of these suicide bombers — was published earlier today in Al Watan, a Saudi Arabian newspaper. According to the nation’s security advisor, Dr. Yusuf Rumaih, samples that were sent to three foreign countries tested positive for the drug.

Rumaih claims that the terrorists used sex to recruit the young people and then administered the drug to anesthetize them. Authorities are saying that the heroin allowed the men to “commit suicide with indifference as they were promised paradise with virgins.”

While it is certainly possible that the drug showed up in these perpetrators’ bodies, it may be a bit of a stretch to claim that it was taken purposefully to avoid pain during suicide attacks. After all, it’s entirely possible that these individuals simply used the drug recreationally. Either way, it’s tough to know the true motivations for usage.

IsraelNationalNews.com adds that this isn’t the first time allegations that terror leaders inject pain killers and drugs in suicide bombers. Similar tales have been told in Afghanistan and Iraq, but no forensic evidence has corroborated these charges.

Considering that terror groups have access to heroin and opium and that these rogue clans make mounds of cash off of the drug trade, this story coming our of Saudi Arabia may very well be true.

      I don‘t think it’s unusual for terrorists and soldiers to take drugs to zip them up, bolster their courage or to place them in a state of euphoria, knowing that they will probably die.

      Pouches of drugs were found on NVA and Viet Cong dead in Vietnam; the same was said to be the case for the Chinese to bolster them for their human wave attacks in Korea. The Japanese Kamakazi pilots, who flew their planes into US vessels were said to be highly drugged.

      In the US military pilots who flew non-stop missions around the clock were given amphetamines to stay awake, and troops in Vietnam also took them to stay alert on long range patrol missions where being alert….and VERY quiet….was the difference between life and death.

      If somebody does a little research on the subject, I imagine he’ll find that drugs have been used during wars down through the centuries to some extent or another, so it isn’t hard to believe these suicide terrorists are under the influence of one narcotic or another.

      you guys and your drug innuendos. Im a counselor. A first time user of heroin will a) vomit, and then b) pass out. There is no such thing as one time heroin use to bolster courage or numb pain. This particular drug simply doesn’t work that way. I don’t see jihadists as being junkies – if this stories is true, it is only because the terrorists were acting on bad information. Nevertheless, the next time I see a drooling, incoherent, long sleeved, muslim walking my way, Ill cross the street.

    These guys who wear towels on their head were “promised 72 virgins in the afterlife.” So basically sex is their motivating factor…..to hit it with some virgins. Don’t these people sound like some barbarians? I would think we’re talking about some ancient Viking talking about having sex with 72 virgins, not some modern day Middle Eastern nut jobs. These modern Muslims are every bit as backwards and barbaric as some Viking from 800a.d. I wonder if liberals would be staunch supporters of Vikings if they were still around beating their chests in modern times? Probably not since they would be white folks.     There is no physical pain in a suicide attack, your body is obliterated into a fine mist of guts the instant the holy jihad bombs go off. Generally the head is popped off the body and found some distance from where the body evaporated. Perhaps they do use drugs to get themselves in the mental state to actually push the button, the pain is all mental. But they shouldn’t get too worked up about a little bit of pain at this point, eternity in Hell will be much more painful than anything they might have experienced on earth in all their days. Surely their filth will add to the stench of Hell. Muhammad will of course welcome them to Hell and show them to their cave. The look on their face when they realize they aren’t getting any so-called virgins, and they are in fact in Hell, forever, is priceless, and Muhammad gets a huge laugh out of that every single time.

      I remember reading something about that, the hashish, the assassins. Note that story was in the FT in 2000, before 9/11. It is clear that violence and terror have been a part of Islam for a long time, from the time that Muhammad himself terrorized and killed and made engaging in that activity part of his shiny new religion. But the modern Western view is that Islam is The Religion Of Peace! Yeah right.

    I can believe this is highly probable; there are stories I read of the geurilla fighters in the Philipines after the US captured them from Spain, they would chew something called a bettle nut and the effect got them so psyched up and psyched out (like LSD is suppose to do), that in combat they would take fatal wounds and still keep on going without pain until they finally bled to death.
