Report: Undercover Cops Infiltrated Occupy LA Before Raid

Report: Police Went Undercover at Occupy LA | LAPD | Occupy Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (The Blaze/AP) — Los Angeles police used nearly a dozen undercover detectives to infiltrate the Occupy LA encampment before this week’s raid to gather information on protesters’ intentions, according to media reports Friday.

None of the officers slept at the camp, but tried to blend in during the weeks leading up to the raid to learn about plans to resist or use weapons against police, a police source told the Los Angeles Times. The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case is ongoing.

The undercover work yielded information that some protesters were preparing bamboo spears and other potentially dangerous weapons in advance of an expected eviction by the LAPD, none of which were used, according to City News Service which first reported the story.

Police downplayed the significance of the undercover work since Occupy meetings were public and easily tracked.

LAPD Officer Cleon Joseph declined an Associated Press request for comment on the reports.

Occupy L.A. protester Mario Brito told City News Service he was not surprised by the revelation, but said it was “tantamount to 1950s McCarthyism.”

Meanwhile, the city attorney’s office filed criminal misdemeanor charges Friday against 27 more of the people who were arrested following the police sweep of the camp.

In all, 46 of the 291 people arrested during the raid have been charged with misdemeanor crimes of failure to disperse from an unlawful assembly. Some also were charged with resisting arrest.

The arrests came Wednesday during a pre-dawn raid on City Hall Park, where nearly 500 tents had been erected at the peak of an anti-Wall Street protest, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich said.

Fifty-eight posted bail or were released by police, Criminal Division Chief Earl Thomas told City News Service.

An additional 187 protesters were released without bail and without being charged, because they had no prior criminal records.

Bail amounts ranged from $5,000 for most of the defendants to as high as $20,000.

I know this is a dumb question but… HOW DUMB CAN THE UNIONS BE???

Now with all the violence, unlawfulness, and hatred that the media is finally reporting on Occupy, now the Unions start doubling down on their support for OccupyWS. http://www.americanparchment.com/video/2011/dec/ows_unions.html

Could it be that they have always been for Occupy and have been running it, under the radar, as was proven long before. Could it also be that they are doubling down because Occupy is falling apart and they can‘t let their ’project’ fall apart so easily?

McCarthy was right. The Soviets sent hundreds upon hundreds of highly educated, organized agents into this country who spoke perfect English sans dialect/accent who infiltrated media, government and our education system in the ’20s, ’30s, ‘40s and ’50s. They are now harvesting the fruits of their efforts. Nakita gave it all up in a little fit when he stated to the United States that we will bury you from the inside (paraphrased). We are in epic times. Short of World War III, or another US Civil War, I don’t see anyway of keeping this Titanic from sideswiping the iceburg.

Trouble is you can never scrub “stupid” clean except with the disinfectant of Light, Air and Experience.
Nothing these miscreants have any willingness to experience.

The late author Douglas Adams, who would have probably been supportive of the OWS action sadly, “Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.”

Later in a scene where “Deep Thought” the gargantuan mega computer charged with the responsibility of answering the ultimate question of life is challanged by Vroomfondle, the representative of Amalgamated Union of Philosophers, Sages, Luminaries and Other Professional Thinking Persons, “We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!” Perhaps the OWS folk are demanding the same or the precise exact opposite and even a hybrib of both.

A spokes-thing-person of the OWS movement was quoted as replying, “We’ll get back to ya on that just after the third subcommittee of the Intra-Councilliary Plenary Comissars on Uncertainties and Sufficiencies of Doubt indelibly affixes it imprimatur to the working draft, provided enuf Cheetos are available”.

Make them suspect each other. Their “security committee” will then have purges and witch hunts. The useful idiots will soon experience the Soviet/North Korean style society that are at the roots of this movement. The equality of the movement will become equality of suspicion – for the “good of the collective.” …but will they notice? Will they object or leave/denounce the movement? I’ve looked in on many web-sites where Paul supporters are in agreement (even here) regarding their dislike for Police (and authority in general) just like the 99% OWS crowd. When you do some research and find out who many of Ron Paul supporters are… you will begin to understand that they are not much different than the “Flea Bag’grs” in many Liberal respects.

Paul supporters have been seen at the OWS protests around the nation, and don’t let them tell you that they are out there as a counter-measure to the lawlessness that the many of the 99% OWS’rs hold near and dear to their hearts. Anarchists are anarchists…

Numbers = safety. Having enough people on hand to safely get the job done means a greater chance of a safe and injury free outcome. If you ask people in public safety to risk their lives to protect you and the rest of the public, don’t whine about the way it gets done. We are not payed ( or volunteer) to get hurt or killed. We are asked to accomplish tough tasks and we are going to get it done in a way that is as safe as possible. We all want to go home at the end of the day. Is that a bad thing?

A very strange premonition as I watched the video…. the extreme left know what they are doing. Everything is carefully planned. After reading the health care law I have no doubt of that at all. Hearing Glenn talk on the radio on friday of the Senate passing a bill that makes the US a battle ground left a very strange feeling also. Combine the scene above with the Senate bill and the fact that things are being carefully planned….could it be possible that this whole Occupy movement is not only part of the training for the “bottom up”part…but also training/conditioning for the top down part …getting law enforcement officers and protectors used to the idea of arresting citizens. Consider this just very random thoughts….with a very bad feeling attached to it. Something is not right. Somewone I know who works at a base made note of the following Navy ‘creed’. Please note the changes that have been made in the ‘creed’ over time. http://www.history.navy.mil/library/online/creed.htm

It seems other military ‘creeds’ have also reflect interesting changes.

In the words of one intergalatic warrior…..“I have a very bad feeling about this”.

I know what you are saying. Yet sadly you will not find many here who “get it” about what is really going on. The NWO is descending upon us and many here are…cheering for it. They almost seem giddy at the idea that our police are being used against americans such as these protesters yet somehow convinced themselves when this great darkness that is coming, a darkness we ALL feel in our hearts is coming, that somehow these same police and our own military will be on “our” side.

At what point will people in the US really wake up to what is really going on around them? When the police and military are in our streets and cities, when martial law is declared, when our homes are raided for any weapons, when we are rounded up into camps, when we are not longer the country our founding fathers gave us? At what point people will you finally “get it”? When it is too late?

My dad is a retired cop and he told me weeks ago that undercover cops were going to infiltrate all these “Occupy” camps. I guess the old man does know a thing or two!

i wonder how they ever managed to sneak in?
this should have been ended after the first night!
just shows how inept governemt officials really are! AND just whose side they are really one.
CLUE: it’s not the american citizen that believes in the constitution!

Well, anyone with half a brain knows that the cops always infiltrate at large protests. It happened at some tea party events too. Your dad is about as sharp as a marble on that.

ok, once again: the police do not “protect and serve” they investagate AFTER the fact….
my advice to you is by a firearm and learn to protect yourself… as far as serve goes…that’s another story for a different day…

Yes the police do protect and serve moron, tell me what kind of city you would live in without police. The presence of the police protect a whole lot of things every minute of every day. Had a flat on the highway, local police pulled up and turned on his lights so I could change my tire with more safety…thats serving. Once again you sound like another person who has had run ins with thepolice in the past and things didn’t go your way.

Marengo Ohio Patriot…or maybe you should be “Marengo Ohio Liberal PARROT”

You obviously have no idea what a police officer’s job is or the absolute crap they have to put up with on a daily basis,

I challenge you to go down to your local police station and ask to go on a “ride-along” for a shift.

You’ll see the majority of the derelicts that police are forced to deal with on a daily basis…not normal everyday citizens such as “yourself”
