Report: Witness Says Trayvon Martin Attacked George Zimmerman

Trayvon Martin, left, 17, was fatally shot by George Zimmerman. A new witness has claimed Martin did attack Zimmerman before he was shot.

A new witness to the Trayvon Martin shooting has come forward, claiming the Florida teen did in fact attack neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, according to media reports.

Zimmerman has said he shot the 17-year-old in self-defense, though Martin was reportedly carrying only a bag of Skittles and an iced tea when he was killed. Despite a loud national outcry, Zimmerman has not been arrested or charged in Martin’s death.

According to Tampa Bay Fox affiliate WTVT-TV, what the witness says he saw could bolster Zimmerman’s claim that he shot Martin in self-defense:

“The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: ‘help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911,” he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as “John,” and didn’t not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman’s claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

“When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point,” John said.

On Friday night, Zimmerman attorney Craig Sonner appeared on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” and said he client sustained a broken nose and a head laceration on the night of the incident.

“His nose was broken, he sustained injury to his nose and on the back of his head he sustained a cut that was serious enough that probably should have had stitches…it was an injury that was done by Trayvon Martin,” Sonner said.

      Investigate. Lie detectors, autopsy results, DNA testing. If they witnessed, did they make a 911 or police report at the time? The 911 tapes have been released and none from this “witness?”

      Oswell – the truth of the matter needs to be determined, that is why a grand jury (according to news accounts on the matter) is being formed to check into this situation. If he has violated any laws then let him face the justice of the courts based on the law; if innocent then the matter needs to be let go.

      The fact is though you are right concerning the left and any band of radicals; to them this is a clear cut case for mob violence and mob justice. They have already proclaimed the man guilty ahead of time and someone probably will go after him.

      In the case of what his lawer says about him having a broken nose and such, if there are medical records from paramedics and law officers on the scene and a ER visit or such then they should be shown to the public as well.

      Look for Holder to come down on this matter like a ton of bricks for civil rights violations even if the shooting turns out to be in self defense. He will use this, as Obama is, to push for prosecution on the matter of self defense is no excuse for violating the deceadents civil rights.

      The radicals and extremists will milk this for all it is worth as it adds fuel to the ever growing fires.

      Why is the news still showing Mr. Martin’s picture when he was 11 years old? WHY?

      Will Obama apologize to the Hispanic Community for his outburst about the shooting. This Kenyan born President did the same thing to the Boston Cop who asked questions about a strange suspicious black man who appeared to be breaking into a house. Remember the Beer Meeting.

      The most important fact is who started the fight, not who was winning it. Unfortunately, because Trayvon Martin is dead, we only have Zimmerman’s side. Because the police did not adequately investigate the at the time, there are all sorts of facts we will never know. For instance, the police took Zimmerman at his word that his record was “squeaky clean,” they did not do a drug or alcohol test despite the dispatcher saying he thought Zimmerman was drunk, they did not look for Martin’s cell phone despite the fact that he was on the phone up until the moment the fight began, they did not investigate the fact that Zimmerman uses a racial slur in the 911 call.

      At this point there is no hope for justice. Not for Trayvon Martin. Not for George Zimmerman. Those charged with upholding the law were incompetent in this case, but because of rules governing the prosecution of law enforcement, they’re unlikely to have to answer for it either.

      Ultimately, this case will live on as a Rorschach test for all kinds of values and predispositions. A civil and continuing dialogue on law enforcement, race, gun laws, and the like is about the best we can hope for, along with a clarification of the SYG law and the duties of police departments with regards to it.

      Notice how EAGER the corrupt press is to take an unintelligible, under the breath sigh of exasperation that isn’t clear and press so desperately to call it a racial slur. They won’t let go of it, because the perp was black and this Hispanic guy is being to be made out as white.

      Now, remember a thousand other incidents where black perps assaulted, beat, raped or killed whites, saying things like “You don’t belong in our neighborhood, whitey, or “Take that white boy” or ******* this or ******* that or in the instance of Holder‘s people who approached whites with clubs at a polling place telling them they’re there to assure a black man gets elected.

      I could go on with a thousand other anti-white racist slurs in numerous attacks and every one of them would be far worse than anything white, Hispanic or Asians have EVER said about blacks, yet the press NEVER condemns black hate speech and the authorities play it down and both vaguely mention that they don’t know if racism was behind the black on white crime.

      But when there‘s a black involved where they’re trying to make out he’s the victim, oh how intensely and eagerl;y they want to scour the tapes over and over again to see if a sound of exasperation was racist. Oh, how horrible.

      Correctly the regard from everybody should be “How shameful.”

      @Robert It’s not unintelligible. It’s pretty clear. Go ahead and deny it all you want, but the rest of your post shows you’re not interested in accuracy. Things get said to white people that are worse than anything that has EVER been said to black people? We’re talking about the history of a country that used to lynch black men with no cause. Do you really think that while they were stringing them up they were keeping their language clean?

      It’s fascinating to me how easily some white folks jump to grievance and victimhood in cases like this. “Well bad things happen to us too!” Yeah, they do. And nobody has a monopoly on nasty language or racial hatred. I suppose they’re reacting in frustration to what they see as a oversensitivity to race by the MSM and others. However, since race *is* a dimension of life in our country, the idea that we can just ignore it or not talk about it is just putting your head in the sand. What we should be doing is having civil conversations about race without exaggeration or yelling. That seems like it’s tough for a lot of people, but in my mind it’s the only standard that makes sense.

      In this particular case, George Martin did use a racial slur on the 911 tape. Denying it doesn’t make it go away.

      Exactly. When Jackson, Sharpton, and Farrakhan heard the name of the man who shot Trayvon Martin was George Zimmerman they immediately thought the killer was Jewish or at the least a white man as Zimmerman is a German name. Turns out that Zimmerman is Hispanic with black relatives so the story takes a whole new direction and the race the pimps and baiters mentioned in the first sentence lost their chance to stir up the country into a black on white acist frenzy and an excuse for blacks to riot and hate the cops.       I was certain there was more to this story, HOWEVER, I do not think for a second that Zimmerman is merely an innocent victim here. Any concealed carry holder would tell you that avoiding a confrontation is your first priority. We may never know exactly how these two ended up on the ground, but I can say for sure, that If Zimmerman had followed directions, we would not be having this discussion. He had no legal justification to stop or detain this kid, and why do we assume that Martin initiated the aggression first? There’s a lot of holes here for sure, but to act as if Zimmerman were simply minding his own business and was suddenly attacked for no reason, would be to deny most of the facts.

      As a freedom loving American, I do NOT want neighborhood watch people to think they can arbitrarily act outside the bounds of the law. Kids in hoodies still have rights, and the assumption of innocence. I fear that many of us on the right are reacting in knee jerk fashion, simply because of the usual suspects that have poured out into the streets in protest. That would be a mistake.

      - Lie detectors are not admissible. You want a lie detector for John. sounds reasonable. I want one for Trayvon’s girlfriend.

      Are you sure that all 911 tapes have been released or the websites that you got to just trumpet the ones consistent with their biases. I would like to see all tapes released & a good timeline.

      I would also like to see a map of the neighborhood to include the convenience store, where the shooting happened & where Trayvon’s fathers girlfriend lived. Is going thru the fated community the most direct route from the store to the house? Of course I do not take the most direct routes myself out of shear boredom. Every so often I take the long way, so that may mean nothing.

      I would like to know how many burglaries were in the gated community? The had a neighborhood watch after all. I have viewed a map of Sanford & there is only 1 thru road thru the residential section.

      I can see Trayvon ducking between 2 houses just because he is creeped out by being followed. I could also see jumping Zimmerman out of fear from being followed. I could also see Zimmerman being overly gung ho about protecting the neighborhood & the witness John lying. I could see Trayvon’s girlfriend lying too.

      Like every other months old story of a black being killed by a non-black, this story was conveniently brought to the national spotlight and Al (the race baiter) Sharpton has been dusted off again to protest loudly and march in the streets of many cities.
      Why was this story brought forth now? Simple, team Obama needs cover and distraction from the cntraception story that won’t die and the SCOTUS hearings on the marxist, unconstitutional Obamacare,

      First off, you people would be fairly critical of a new witness who didn’t want to be named coming forward against, say, Herman Cain.       the right to defend himself per law? Your walking
      home, someones following you , they confront u,

      Someone does that to me I’m trying to get
      that gun away. Zimmerman should not have pursued
      him. 911 operator said don’t pursue. Cops on their way.
      No crime in progress. He may have defended himself
      after he pursued and confronted but it’s not the intent

      This is a picture of Trayvon when he was 12-14 YOA. He latest picture describes him as between 6′2″-3″, about 200 lbs. and outstanding football player. There are also pictures of the kid with his pants down below his arse and flipping poeple off. He was also suspended from school. Things are always what they seem. Remember the Duke rape case. Need I say more? This still doesn’t excuse it if it turns out to be murder and Mr. Zimmerman should spend most of his life in prison; however, I think there is much more to come of this story. Also read that Zimmerman was the one screaming and getting pummeled.

      READING IS FUNDAMENTAL. The story only says that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman. It doesn’t say that he attacked Zimmerman or started the altercation. Is it possible that he was defending himself after Zimmerman jumped on him? After all, He was running away from Zimmerman. Zimmerman was told not to follow him. Zimmerman was the one with a gun.

      walkabout, you‘d sure want to see if Zimmerman’s DNA is on Trayvon indicating contact, wouldn’t you? Wouldn’t you want to know if postmortem testing found injuries on Trayvon like bruised knuckles? (Although, since Zimmerman got out of the car and chased him he could have been defending himself.)
      If there are 911 tapes of other calls (ie that mysterious new “witness ”John) making a report, it‘s odd that it wasn’t released with the others, no?
      We have a Neighborhood Watch program in our area. Know what it is, watch for strangers or suspicious activity around your neighbor’s not, armed patrol of ANY KIND!
      The actual conversation with the girlfriend may be recoverable. Any and all lie detectors~fine.

      “I can see Trayvon ducking between 2 houses just because he is creeped out by being followed. I could also see jumping Zimmerman out of fear from being followed. I could also see Zimmerman being overly gung ho about protecting the neighborhood & the witness John lying.       i find it strange that some of you seem to think zimmerman was innocent in this. this story means nothing. including this story, all that has come out about this says zimmerman stalked someone who was minding his own business and provoked a fight, then shot him when the fight didnt go his way. if some of you could stop worrying about al and jesse and wanting to discredit them, not that they have any, and focus on what happened. an unarmed 17 year old kid was shot by a man who was chasing him. nothing that has come out about this says to me that zimmerman should not be prosecuted. if something comes out to the contrary i will change my mind but i am not ready to condemn a kid who it seems was doing nothing wrong. for god sakes people, the kid is dead.

      Son, you drank ALL the kool aid. Zimmerman was the “self appointed” captain of his neighborhood watch. In other words, he wasn’t the captain of the neighborhood watch. It is easier to see this as Martin defending himself from some stranger following and then confronting him than to see it as self defense from the person who instigated the encounter in the first place. Zimmerman went looking for trouble. He found it. He should go to prison.

He was also over 6 feet tall — much taller than Ziimmerman. Continuing to post that old picture just helps push the narrative that Jackson and Sharpton are pushing.

      @ Robert, I vividly remember a story that took place while I was stationed at Camp Pendleton. A fellow Sergeant was at home with his wife when 3 junior “Marines” burst into his home, raped his wife in front of him, then executed him and his wife then attempted to burn down his home. Should I even say what race the perpetrator were? The press never hinted that this was a racially motivated attack and said that the criminals were just committing a burglary because they knew their Sergeant had recently gotten back from a deployment and had bought new things. Well, the facts were that this white Sergeant was married to a black woman and these black guys didn’t like it so they committed unforgivable sins. The press is biased and we all know it now.

      are u serious? George Zimmerman had a gun stalked and pursued an unarmed teenager. if Zimmerman stayed in his vehicle and listened to 911 operators there would be NO confrontation. If a grown man is stalking you with a gun and most likely trying to corner you and keep you captive til the police come because “they always get away” your an innocent kid ur scared you have no idea what is goin on why this man is doing this to u of course your going to fight to defend yourself and fight your way free from this psycho.       He never said who attacked who. He never
      says who confronted who. Just because Zimmerman

      Let’s not forget that the photo in this article and all over the media showing Travon Martin in the red T shirt was taken when he was 11 years old. He was 17 years old when he was shot. The pictures from his Facebook page show a very mature and Travon Martin and NOT the boy in the picture taken when he was 6 years younger.

      This doesn’t contradict anything.

      It shows there was a physical confrontation and the kid was winning before he was shot to death. It says nothing about who grabbed whom or who threw the first punch.

      The kid had every right to defend himself against an older guy who was stalking him. I bet everyone here would defend himself or his family if chased and confronted by a stranger.

      You have no basis to claim that the police did not do their job correctly the first time. They were incompetent, you say? You’re ignorant. You don’t know what happened. I’ve been to lots of scenes where what actually happened bears almost no resemblance to what it looks like happened. That’s why cops investigate.
      No, the most important fact is not who started the fight. If Zimmerman thought he was going to die, he has an absolute right to protect his life by using a gun. Apparently he was beat up pretty bad. You can’t just do that to people and not expect consequences.
      A racial slur, as has just been shown in another recent case, does not automatically make it a hate crime. You think you heard something on the recording, I think you’re hearing things.
      There are so many other errors in your logic and assumptions that I don’t have time to address them. Just let the experts do their jobs, and why don’t you try to do something to keep our kids’ SAT scores from falling every year, OK? Thanks.

      Of course this 17 yrs old kid was beating up the cuban. This picture of the “victim” is 2-3 years old and he looks like Gary Coleman from different strokes. All jovial and innocent. He was probably 160+ lbs., tall, strong and athletic. This Cuban was more than likely 135+, 5′ foot 2″, weak and flabby.

      Has anyone noticed that all the pictures of Trayvon have been taken when he appears to be about fourteen? Puberty can have a drastic effect in three years. At seventeen, he could have been 6 ft 4, 220 and built like a linebacker. Anyone who doesn’t feel threatened, regardless of color, is putting their head under the covers. I had a fight with a guy in high school, who sprouted up five inches in three years, and went from a coward to a bully. Oh, yes, I am 5′10″ before and after. I lost. I got a nice shiner and three days at home, but he got sent home for good. Expelled, because he got into one too many fights. I guess I was the straw.
      We may find out that Trayvon is not the angel that the media is portraying him as. He might not have been going out for apple juice and a box of animal crackers.

      @Robert You‘re right that the racial slur doesn’t change whether Zimmerman was acting in self-defense. Racists have the right to defend themselves too. But in a trial it will certainly be evidence used to point to Zimmerman’s state of mind before the altercation. Uttering a racial slur doesn‘t mean you’re about to commit a hate crime, but in the context of the rest of the 911 call it can be used to argue that Zimmerman was amped up and ready to dispense “justice” regardless of the appropriateness of his actions.

      These things will all come out at trial, as will this witness’ testimony that Zimmerman was calling for help.

      @TheCid100 The police investigation was not handled well. They did not gather key evidence at the scene of the crime and it is now too late to do so. They would not even have investigated this far if pressure was not being placed on them by the victim’s family through the media.

Unfortunately, he/she immediately takes the MSM story as the basis for judging. “(T)he police did not adequately investigate?” How does anyone but the police know what they investigated? It appears that LT didn’t read the story, which, if true certainly puts the MSM’s version (not the authorities, mind you) in question and highly suspect, until an airing of all the FACTS.

      As to LT’s other points such as the so called fact that Zimmerman used a racial slur. I heard that tape and I assure you that no racial slur can be detected by the human ear. LT says the police did not look for a phone. I would first ask the police if that was true. However, even if true, at the time of the incident did they have the slightest idea that Martin had been on the phone? If not, why should they have looked?

      First of all, this is still a “supposed” witness, one who has also gone out on these unauthorized and self-appointed watches with Mr Zimmerman and would want to take his side. Next, it’s also come out that the victim (kid) made a 911 call himself. Doesn’t sound like something an “attacker” would do…. let’s see how that pans out. Lastly, you’d have to agree there was a severe lack of proper law enforcement action as this kid lay in the morgue with his cell phone being called constantly by his parents trying to find him for 3 FREAKIN DAYS…and no one noticed this… us livbrals did not make that up, hmmm??

      I‘m not surprised at the number of racists on Beck’s “news” site, but how could everyone be so quick to side against life. One witness comes out and says what a lot of you just assumed was true, it makes you feel better, so naturally you want to cling to that part of the story. Those of us with critical thinking skills, however, would tend to wonder, “Why did I assume something (the black kid behaved violently) that I had no evidence to support? And why does one person’s testimony make me feel so much better about myself?” The answer’s obvious, but anyway, as a libertarian I believe the right to life and liberty are the most important things for a government to protect. How can a police department allow an admitted killer to walk away with so little investigating done? If you don‘t want to admit you’re racists, fine, but never allow police to accept the taking of life (black, white, etc.) so easily.

      This witness is not stating facts, he’s giving an opinion. The witness saw Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman “fighting”. Just because Trayvon was “winning” and on top doesn’t mean he assaulted, ie started the fight – does it? It’s possible the “loser” started the fight – but couldn’t finish it without a gun.

      That picture they all keep running in their stories is way more than three years old. This “kid” at the time of the incident was around 6′3″ and 175-185lbs from any reliable accounts. They just keep running the picture from years ago and citing his small stature in that picture as if it‘s current because it garners sympathy from people that don’t realize they’re attempting to create a story where there is none. You’re never going to see a current picture because that would derail the entire “a poor innocent child was murdered in cold blood because he was black” mantra.

      Zimmerman made one big mistake, he claims he *never* spoke to Trayvon, this is in direct contradiction to Trayvon’s girlfriend who heard a guy say “what are you doing here?” on her phone, and her boyfriend reply “Why are you following me?” shortly before hearing the phone drop and call end.

      If we believe Trayvon’s girlfriend, we have to accept Zimmerman’s account is a false statement. This will reset the story from the time leaving the car..

      It is therefore easy to speculate that Zimmerman followed the logical conclusion of his relentless stalking of Mr Martin which we have asserted from the 9-1-1 tapes and refusal to listen to the 9-1-1 officer on the phone.

      **The extended 9-1-1 tape includes direct instructions to “wait by the mailbox for the arriving officer” as Mr Zimmerman refused and said “give him my number I don’t know where I will be” and ended the call.**

      Mr Zimmerman did indeed find Mr Martin and as it seems at some point became locked in fisticuffs, which Mr Zimmerman lost, being struck in the face and landing on the ground knocking his head.

      He then pulled his firearm and shot Trayvon to end the altercation. Without Mr Zimmerman’s blind determination to “not let this one get away” he provoked a fight he could not win.

      We have to decide for ourselves how much it matters if Trayvon or Zimmerman threw the first punch. And to what degree of fear is it ok to draw and discharge a firearm.

      I haven’t heard a single word about any of those stories on any News Network. And if the races were reverse all of those stories would be on the front page of the times,on 24 rotation on MSNCB,CNN,ABC,CBS,NBC,AND EVERY OTHER SUPPOSED NEWS OUTLET.

      You guys are hilarious. Zimmerman is guilty as sin. It’s obvious that the person screaming for help was Trayvon because once the shot went off, the crying stopped. Plus, the 911 dispatcher told him to stand down and he didn’t.       I have been thinking.
      What continues the saga of sadness is that the replies here only serve as to fan the flames.

      The Blaze indeed.

      We need to stop the rhetoric and dialogue we are being driven into by those we do not trust.

      How about we drop this dialogue and completely disengage from it and ignore the temptation to further the hate, which is sadly the only path it will take if we continue. No one will convince anyone of either side of the point, the discussion will only fuel wrath.

      Please let’s just drop this. At this point, sadly, it’s simply not worth prolonging in this forum or manner.

      My favorite part of that prayer is “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”. You don‘t ask for the forgiveness you haven’t already given to someone else. That’s a powerful philosophy even an atheist can respect.

      It contradicts nothing actually. The witness didn’t see who approached who (which is key). Likely story, Zimmerman approached Trayvon, altercation ensued in which Trayvon (a football player) over-powered Zimmerman, and Zimmerman shot (twice, btw). Shooting someone you attack because they overpowered you, not self defense and definitely not protected by “stand your ground.” Oh, and witnesses have said that the cops were feeding them the story and refusing to write down what they actually said. Zimmerman was twice his size, armed and has a history of violence. Trayvon was a normal teen, walking down the streets of his fathers neighborhood.

      The homeowners/renters, in this area, felt threatened because their homes, and they themselves had been attacked. The criminals who attacked them were not of one race, they were of every race, and so they created a patrol unit, to give them and their families, safety. Where I live, I see young men and women, at times, becoming physically violent. It is part of a cultural identity of rap and being street strong. There are many young people who walk around trying to look and act, like a thug. They do this in part, to protect themselves from other thugs, yet I have witnessed how frequently, and easily, they attack others, punching and hurting the other person sometimes very seriously. A young man was killed a few months ago on the next street by another young man, who was angry at him about something. The boy who was killed was 17, and the boy who killed him was 19. If Mr. Zimmerman was bloodied, it is obvious that he was attacked. The police saw that he was bloodied, and then a witness told them that Mr. Zimmerman, had been pinned down by the person who was later shot. Instead of making this into a black vs white issue, which it is not, everyone should be talking about the violent culture of young people today, and the harsh environment that our country has turned into, in so many places, due to economic downturns, and lack of opportunity.       I don‘t mean to quibble here but I can’t help but to be annoyed with almost every story I read of this incident. The vast majority of those I’ve read include some reference that says Mr. Martin was reportedly carrying a bag of Skittles and an iced tea at the time of the confrontation. May I humbly ask, WHO SAID SO??? Each story contains this information but always use the word reportedly or allegedly. Yet none of these stories cite the police version or some witness. No wonder so many initially looked upon Mr. Martin as the victim. Perhaps if these stories all had said that Mr. Martin was allegedly carrying a screwdriver and wire cutters at the time he was being followed, then our sympathies might have been with the Spanish guy that shot him. By the noses we’re being led. Damn the media and the press, long live free and honest speech.

      If you think those pictures make Trayvon look scary, I think that says more about you than the pictures. As I high school teacher I see plenty of kids take “tough” pictures who wouldn’t hurt a fly. If you think a teenager flipping the bird is scary, I hope you don’t come to a high school armed…you’d be shooting everybody, including probably your own kids.

      When I see those pictures I see a young man playing pretend for the camera. I’ve seen some real thugs in my time as a teacher — they don‘t look like that and they don’t act like that.

      13TH GENERATION AMERICAN, please explain to me a former cop, just what lawful orders a 911 operator can legally issue to a private citizen. In Sanford, Florida, and having been a citizen of Florida I doubt that he/she can. Then, it is pretty much a suggestion, not a standing lawful order. Zimmerman in his position made a decision and stuck with it. Was it the correct decision? Frankly, unknown. Let the investigation decide because none of us armed with the media’s half truths can truly decide. Zimmerman was in his car, calm, had called the cops to come, and a few moments after saying that the boy was running away, Trayvon is dead. The dispatcher said not to pursue and he pursued, which puts him outside of Stand Your Ground. Special prosecutor is on the case.

      Zimmerman was not an “agent of the property” as you put it. There was no neighborhood watch program, and he wasn’t a representative of the neighborhood association. Neither organization – even if Zimmerman had been associated with them – retains criminal enforcement powers.       The national Neighborhood Watch program has already stated that they have no record of any program active is this community. Further, that Zimmerman breached multiple NW rules, not the least of which are chasing someone and carrying a gun.

      While anyone is allowed to privately solicit anyone they want, there is NO legal protection in ANY state for involuntary interaction. So no, private citizens don’t have the “right” to stop suspicious persons, or STOP anybody. You can say “Hey, mind if we talk?”, but things end there. If you stop somebody, or threaten physical force in the attempt to stop somebody, that’s assault and criminal false imprisonment. Zimmerman wasn’t attempting to stop a crime. He never said that he witnessed a crime, or articulated a suspicion of any past crime. Mr. Paranoid – who called the cops 50 times for no reason – thought somethin’ was up.

      The “stand your ground” law does not apply to Zimmerman. He was pursuing Martin, not the other way around. He chased after him so fast be began to pant on the phone. That isn’t standing ground, its giving chase. It’s also assault. If Zimmerman threatened Martin, making him feel as though he wasn’t free to leave, or was about to be the victim of battery, then Martin is entirely justified in the use of physical force.

      Facts? No. The 911 operator said, is a strongly disapproving tone: “We don’t need you to do that.” That is not concern for his safety. A normal person would interpret that as telling him to stay put.

      Zimmerman can protect his own property. He can‘t however restrict access to another person’s private property. Martin’s guardian (father?) lived there, and via extension of his ownership, can extend equal use and access to any guest he pleases. Martin was doing nothing more than walking home from the store.

    The media keeps showing side-by-side photos of Trayvon and George.
    Trayvon’s photos are always of him happy and smiling, when he was obviously much younger. George’s is always this same “angry man with a chip on his shoulder” photo.

    People would be shocked to see Trayvon’s recent photos at age 17.
    This does not justify the shooting in any way, but you would be more able to understand George’s suspicion of Trayvon that night.

      I agree. The picture of Treyvon is maybe from middle school, but not as a teenager. No one is asking why pictures of seventeen year old or teenager are not being shown. No one!!!!

      The media is also not asking for all of the facts. They are taking bits and pieces of what they want to get their mission accomplished-that mission is to stir up America.

      It’s all about twisting “facts” to make them into what suits your desired outcome. Anyone not Black is White to Jesse and Sharpton. Those that follow these two thugs have lost their souls and no longer are able to think for themselves.

      Too much is being stirred right now, with not all of the facts on the table. Too many people are willing to accept what main stream media tells them without questioning or thinking. Only the clean cut picture of the boy has been shown, but there are other pictures that make him look like a thug. Also this clean cut picture is of a child much younger than the child is now. Why was that picture chosen? Why not a picture of teenager?

      Our country is in such turmoil right now. Those that focus on race, wealth, and what they don’t have are being used to form a different country than what our Declaration was written and intended for. I keep praying that the truth comes out and that more Americans listen and seek truth and not what they want to hear.

    There was also another 911 tape that supports the witness’ story.

    A woman in a nearby apartment heard someone screaming for help (you can hear it on the tape) and a minute or so later a single gunshot. I think Hannity played it on his radio show yesterday.

    This whole incident is just scary…it gets scarier when people want to turn it into something more..in all my life I have never seen the racial hatred here in America…too young for the 50/60′s…thought we were changing and hoping for a better America when they elected Obama…seems to have gotten much worse..what a farce this president has turned out to be…goes around the country “bullying” and talking trash about everyone….or supports people who do…nice.

      Milkshake, I remember Reginald Denny’s attack like it was yesterday. I watched it unfold on TV the day it happened. I stood in front of the TV in horror and disbelief.

      I’ve never forgotten his name. I’ve never forgotten what a nice looking man he was, before those savages smashed his face to bits.
      That image of an innocent man being dragged from his truck at a congested intersection, haunts me every time the blacks start stirring up hate again.

      In my opinion, Mr. Denny must have been very well paid off and silenced. To this day, I’ve never seen him do a single interview about that day.

      What’s happening in America right now, is going to make that day look like Easter Sunday in the park.

      Leadnotfollow……..I remember the riots very well and I will never forget Reginal Denney and his beating. I have thought of him from time to time over the years. I agree that what is coming is going to be worse than those riots, much worse. One of the reasons I believe this is because white Americans are fed up and angry now too. They will not sit quietly by and be intimidated with black hatred and violence this time around. Americans are facing a full blown race war.

      This is precisely what I fear may become of this case.
      Zimmerman would be best protected in isolated lockup right now.

      The case is unfolding just like Rodney King’s, media showing only the aftermath, not the events leading up to it. The black leaders are just in bringing some attention to the cause for the apparent excessive force utilized. They need to stop incicting retaliatory violence, it does nothing for their supposed race equality mission.

      If Zimmerman is tried and walks it’ll be 1992 all over again. Just 20yrs later with way more media coverage, internet, twitter, facebook etc, to allow the rage to spread like wildfire.

      A thinking Mom does not rely on the MSM to learn how she should think much less feel.

      I dd not witness the altercation; and, even my family sides with the shooter with no other information than that the teen-ager was black and wearing a hoodie. But, the fact remains that Zimmerman called 911 then pursued the kid through the streets of the gated community. The kid was talking to his girl friend describing some guy chasing him. He said he thought he had lost the pursuer and then she heard a fight start. I ask you, if you were walking through the neighborhood where you lived and some guy starts stalking you, would you just let him jump you or would you fight back. If Zimmerman was not able to defend himself, he should have stayed on his porch as the 911 operator told him to. The Florida law does not allow for someone to see a person on the street, follow that person and accost him and then shoot him when the fight does not go well for the pursuer. There are many black youths committing crimes; that does not excuse some yahoo from killing a kid he suspected of wishing to commit a crime – especially after he had called 911 and was told not to follow the kid.

      so if Zimmerman attempted to apprehend Trayvon he’s in the wrong?
      If Trayvon fought back then Zimmerman in is own somewhat twisted mind knew he was justified in the shooting.
      Sounds to me like if he was this good innocent kid he‘d have stopped and spoke in proper english his intentions to return to his father’s home. We’ll probably never know if Zimmerman attempted to use force initially to subdue the kid and thus fought back, allowing Zimmerman to cap him and assume he was justified in this action.

      Put yourself into Zimmermans shoes and have yourself tried in the court of public opinion, without all the facts. This why we are a nation of laws – not vigilantyism.
