He should regret it. Look at the true numbers (if the Dems haven’t tried to erase all of em yet.) Since taking office, Obama has TRIPLED our national debt. How can you call it a recovery when you are even poorer than before?

STEELE: George Bush created a lot of jobs.

    HAINES: Beg your pardon?

STEELE: I think there were jobs created in the eight years that George Bush was in office.

    HAINES: No I’m sorry, you’re mistaken. [...]

STEELE: I think jobs were created. I’m almost confident about that. And I think the markets reflect that. [...]

HAINES: So, did the Lehman blow up and all, that didn’t happen on Bush’s watch? … You were talking about the markets. The markets tanked. [...]

While Steele is “almost confident” that Bush created jobs, the facts disagree. As the Wall Street Journal noted in the last month of Bush’s term — in an article that Burnett references on air while fact checking Steele — Bush’s job data “shows the worst track record for job creation since the government began keeping records.” A paltry 1 million jobs were created under Bush; that’s “a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton’s administration.” Even President Carter — who conservatives love to cite as the paragon of poor economic management, and who only served one term — created 10.5 million jobs. That’s more than three times as many jobs as Bush, in half as much time. More jobs may be created under Obama in this year alone than in Bush’s eight.

Are you trying to say that with the unemployment rate going higher (more jobs lost) that the current administration is doing good?

Please show me the new math. I need to get my checkbook in order and I figure you know how the fed is working too and I can simple use their magic to get more out of what I currently have.

      The math is really simple.

There was a net gain of about 4.7 million jobs during the Bush administration.
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_policy_of_the_George_W._Bush_administration

Since Obama became President, 2.2 million jobs have been lost. http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

President’s do not create jobs! Free Capitalists create jobs. The government is like a mosquito looking for a donor. Politicians have been selling little bits and pieces off to other countries for years and years. We are now looking at the results of many years of poor judgement and self serving actions. They want us to believe we did it to ourselves. Sorry, some of us see deeper than they think. Term limits and no lobbiests in washington. That’s a star!

Lies, lies, and more lies! I can no longer listen to this man lie. I am uncontrollably compelled, like a reflex hic-up, to hit the mute button, change the channel, or power off the media device every time I hear him begin to speak. His elegantly delivered and redefined English language leaves the listener believing he has said one thing, but his definitions always mean another. He is a Confidence Man extraordinary both of whose hands must be watched simultaneously at all times for fear that his lips will distract you just long enough for him to lift you wallet, pawn you watch, sell you the Brooklyn Bridge, or trade your very soul to the Devil. Then I realize, if I turn him off I won’t have a clue about how he intends to defraud me next. Oh, the delimma is so painful!

Hi JJBSYS: You have hit it so right on. For sure you are not the only one with that dilemma. You have just put the words for probably millions of people. You listen to him and you get fooled and if you avoid listening to him you would not know how in the meantime you are getting fooled. I am still waiting for his c-span cameras, no lobbyists, no earmarks and the list goes on and on and on and on… Cannot believe that a president of the country can spew out such balant and naked lies to the very countrymen who had put faith and trust on him to get him elected. We need God more then we had needed at him at any other time in the history of USA. God bless the United States of America.

Glad we did the stimulus so we would not go over 8% unemployment.

Oh wait did I just hear again that unemployment was up again, now to 9.6%.

Either the plan is working or not. The question is what plan the one we all were told or was there another?

Yes of course jobs are being “created”. Government jobs paid for by taxpayers. Here in New Jersey over 40% of the jobs are government/municipal jobs. An 8th grade Social Studies student can tell you how that wouldn‘t work and why it doesn’t work. I’m happy to have a no nonsense Governor like Chris Christie in office. Finally. some common sense!

To Obama, down is the right Direction, because he is a Saul Alinsky Believer, (Obama taught Saul Alinsky at The University of Chicago) the goal is to collapse the system, to only save it with a Total remake and USE SOCIALISM AS ITS FOUNDATION! Things are right on track for him and His Social Justice Freaks (Progressives)… Name of the book to read up on, and what path Obama and the Dems have been following is the “Rules for Radicals”, by Saul Alinsky…Go read it Conservatives and you will learn the Obama Agenda…

Living near Detroit gives a whole new meaning to recovery summer. Let’s see now, more murders, more school money stolen, more people moving out of the city, more of my money going to welfare for the down trodden who have never worked. Do the people who are on continual welfare count as those looking for jobs? The only recovery in Detroit is you recovering from your gun shot wounds.

Duncan, I have firmly believed for a long time that all people that recieve aid, food stamps, medical help, vendoring from the Fed Govt should be tested for drugs and alcohol. When I say all people, that’s exactly what I mean. If you are taking my tax dollars for food, shelter and medical help, then you had better be clean of drugs of any kind.. I would make it a mandate in every state and city. if they test postitive, then no hand outs for that month. Lets weed out the people that are abusing our tax dollars and the hand outs.
