Representative Says Muslim Brotherhood Plans to Put Israel/Egypt Peace Pact to Referendum

 

Muslim Brotherhood May Disband Egypt/Israel Peace Treaty

Peace between Israel and Egypt over the past 30 years has heavily relied on the 1979 Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty and the 1978 Camp David Accords. Following a year of protest and revolution in Egypt that dissolved the nation’s standing constitution and parliament, The Muslim Brotherhood won a majority of seats in elections this past fall. Set to take control as Egypt’s new ruling party, a representative from the Muslim Brotherhood now says that maintaining peace with Israel may be put to a vote, Arutz Sheva reports:

“Rashad Bayoumi, deputy Supreme Leader of the Brotherhood, told the London-based newspaper Al-Hayaton Sunday it respects international treaties and will leave the issue of the peace treaty in the hands of the people. The pact was signed by then-Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, but a ‘cold peace’ has set in over the past several years.

‘People will express their opinions on it. All parties can reconsider the treaty and Egyptians haven’t yet had their say,’ he explained. ‘We won’t violate the treaty. We can put it for referendum among people or parliament,’ Bayoumi said.

In the recent Egyptian elections the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) won 36.3 percent of the list vote, while the ultra-conservative Salafi al-Nour Party took 28.8%. Along with not recognizing or planning to maintain current peace treaties, The Jerusalem Post reports that Bayoumi also said Sunday that the party has no intentions to recognize the nation of Israel, or sit down with its leaders:

“When asked whether it is a requirement for the government in Egypt to recognize Israel, Bayoumi responded by saying: ‘This is not an option, whatever the circumstances, we do not recognize Israel at all. It’s an occupying criminal enemy.’

The deputy leader stressed during the interview that no Muslim Brotherhood members would ever meet with Israelis for negotiations.’I will not allow myself to sit down with criminals.’”

The rise of The Arab Spring ousted Hosni Mubarak in February after serving as Egypt’s President for 30 years. The Jerusalem Post reports that the new Egyptian Parliament’s prime job will be appointing a 100-man assembly to write a new constitution, which will define the president’s powers and parliament’s clout in the new Egypt.

      I spend alotta‘ time at Pamela Gellers’s “Atlas shrugs” website. So I’m very familiar with “taqiya”, and how pervasive it is used in the Muslim world. No doubt, America is in stage 1, “stealth jihad”. And we are certainly seeing stage 2, “defensive jihad” administered by the left. Pamela Geller, along with Robert Spencer have been shouting, at the top of their lungs, for several years, about the “Shariah” and jihad, right here in America. The only thing more dangerous than Islam, is the left.

    Ezekiel chapters 38 and chapters 39 Is this why The Arab Spring is happening? Egypt’s treaty is what has kept most countries from attacking Israel like in 1972. Keep in mind Russia has a huge horse army.
    Some places are best traveled on horse back. If America goes bankrupt (much research says the dollar will crash, over printing with nothing to back it up ), that will signal the go ahead for an attack on Israel.
    The 1972 attack the Arabs had the advantage, but lost. But like the socialist in America they will keep trying!

    Would someone like to explain the difference between “canceling the peace treaty” and “declaring war”? Because I don’t think there is any.

    Of course, Iraq is still officially at war with us,since 1948 or so. As is Saudi Arabia, Lebanon….

      The muslims still think us bedazzled by the many names under which they conceal jihad. But we’re not so easily distracted anymore.

      We non-muslims, all us non-mulsims, and the rest of the non-muslim word live in the House of War. Pretty cool, huh!

      The muslims live in the House of Islam. It is boring there, so they often come to our house and kill us. Peacefulness gets ever so boring!

I read a story were one of our soldiers based in Germany was put out of the Army with a bad conduct discharge because he refused to wear the blue cap of the UN and be under the control of the UN. , his name is Michael New. Look this stuff up people,Obama is destroying our military with allowing gays in and now to allow other powers to control our military.     How is this not surprising, hmm? People don’t understand how dangerous Obama is to the free world when he supports movement like this. I don’t care who you are. Four more year of this, we won’t have a free world or a econ my to live in.

    Conservatives and Libertarians need to get their act together. If it is Ron Paul we need to support the ticket period and vise Vera. Most agree we don’t want another Bush/McCain/Newt/Romney but a third party ticket would doom the US and the rest of the free world.

    I am sure a new dawn is about to break. There will be a peacefulness unlike the world has ever seen. I have no doubt the all my muslim friends in Egypt (once the center of Western Civilization, shhh.) wish the Israelis nothing but the best and will seek lots of peacefulness and whatnot.
