Retired Navy SEAL Founder of Anti-Obama PAC: ‘I Have to Admit I’m A Birther’

The retired Navy SEAL founder of the political action committee Special Operations Speaks, a group of veterans sharply critical of President Barack Obama’s treatment of the military, acknowledged that he doesn’t believe the president was born in the U.S.
“I have to admit that I’m a birther,” Larry Bailey told Foreign Policy magazine in an interview published Friday. “If there were a jury of 12 good men and women and the evidence were placed before them, there would be absolutely no question Barack Obama was not born where he said he was and is not who he says he is.”
Special Operations Speaks is separate from — but has similar views to — the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund, the group of former military and intelligence community members that this week released a scathing 22-minute film demanding an end to national security leaks and accusing Obama of taking undue credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden.
Bailey, a 27-year veteran of the SEALs, told Foreign Policy he also does not believe Obama’s real father was Barack Obama Sr. but subscribes to the theory that it was the late communist journalist Frank Marshall Davis.
“In his books, Obama said his mentor was a fellow named Frank Marshall Davis. Frank Marshall Davis was a member of Communist Party USA, he wrote for the communist party’s Hawaii newsletter, he was a close friend of Obama’s mother, and there’s a strong case that Frank Marshall Davis rather than Barack Obama, Sr. was Barack Obama, Jr.’s father and that Barack Obama, Sr. was just an administrative father of convenience,” Bailey said.
Though Special Operations Speaks’ website states its goals are to expose the “failed operational security environment” Obama has presided over and to “restore accountability in government,” Bailey acknowledged part of his motivation has to do with his extreme dislike of and disagreement with the president.
He called the president’s views “the very antithesis of my beliefs” and said Obama is “one of the most unlikeable and unprepared politicians we’ve ever had.”
“I don’t like him because he believes that America is responsible for most of the problems in the world and he wants to cut her down to size,” Bailey said. “The Obama administration and the liberal progressive path that our country is going down is going to be nothing less than disastrous for our civilization.”

So…a short-form birth certificate, a long-form birth certificate, the Governor of Hawaii publicly stating that he had gone into the records and seen the original birth certificate, two birth announcements in Hawaiian newspapers…and you say there is no proof that Obama was born in the U.S.? The sad thing is, that there are plenty of Conservatives who have not gone crazy, and know that the whole birther thing is a load of bull, but mostly they refuse to speak against it because they don’t want to be seen as defending “the other side”. His Kenyan father was a British subject….not an American citizen.

False, blatantly so. The Constitution gives no definition for what a “natural-born citizen” is. The Supreme Court has off-handedly ruled that it means someone is born in the US or on land owned by the US (it has never ruled directly on presidential eligibility as per the natural born clause).

One representative (John Bingham)’s views, several decades after the formation of the Constitution, are not the words of the Constitution itself (which was the matter at hand). As said, the Supreme Court’s ruling on it has been as I mentioned before: born in the US? Natural born citizen. But they haven’t ruled on it directly in a US presidential case.

That is how strict and powerful that Constitution is. This is so outside forces would not likely influence children who do want to become president that are natural born in the states from becoming what Obama has. Unless you were alive in the 1800s, you never lived during a time when this happened. Queen Liliʻuokalani was overthrown in 1893, and the islands never had another monarch. It became the Republic of Hawaii until territorial annexation in 1898, with Sanford Dole (of Dole fame) as the appointed governor. As said, the Big Five effectively ruled the islands until the 1950s, when unions organized with native Hawaiians to push for statehood and stop the trade monopoly.
Now I‘m REALLY curious where you’re getting your history from. It can’t be from your own past, as you’re recounting events that happened in the 1800s.

As before March 31, 2009… 1.8 Million Acres of Hawaiian Land was held in a State Trust… administered by the Royals… untill all Hawaiian Claims be Settled.
As of that date, the US Supreme Court ruled that the Lands should be available for sale… and referred the matter back to the Hawaiian Supreme Court.
If you know of ruling by the Hawaiian Supreme Court… please provide it.

In Hawaii there are… Pure Hawaiians, Mixed Races, and Non Natives. I’m not totally against the military, I have relatives that were totally useless in the private sector, not that intelligent and were never going to be a productive citizen in society or keep a job. They joined the military and for what ever reason seemed to excel in that environment.

I just was sitting next to one on the plane that believed everything the libs say like that Romney is taking away medicare, and Romney doesn’t pay any taxes. He believed that the government should give food stamps to people making 40K. The problem is people really do not understand how the economy works. They think the government is a big, rich thing that should take care of people.

Because Orly Taitz created it. I don’t suppose it matters to you that the area the Obamas are from in Kenya (Mombasa is several hundred miles away from where they lived). Oh, and I suppose it doesn’t matter that it was revealed to be a forgery based on a copy of one Jeffrey Bomford (from Australia).
