Rev. Jesse Jackson: Jesus Was Killed Because He ‘Occupied’ the Corrupt Temple

Tim Tebow wasn’t the only famous figure to deliver an Easter message this weekend.  Reverend Jesse Jackson marked the occasion with a message of his own– that Jesus was an “Occupier.”

Jackson was speaking to a crowd of predominantly “Occupy Chicago” individuals when he made the analogy, right after a “Chicago Spring” event.

After introducing Jesus as an “immigrant” and “refugee,“ as ”someone who fought for the poor because He was among the poor,” Reverend Jackson asked the group to recall when Jesus cleared the moneychangers out of the Temple in Jerusalem.

“But why was he killed?” he said. “Because he fought, and he occupied the corrupt Temple.  He went to the house of prayer to pray, and found corruption [in] the holy place.”

Jackson becomes somewhat difficult to understand after that, but he clearly refers to a “woman across the street” who “is the 99%.”  Perhaps he is referring to the woman Jesus spoke of in Mark 12:41-44:

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

This is not the first time Reverend Jackson has referred to Jesus as an “Occupier.”  Back in December, he said Jesus, Ghandi, Mandela, and Martin Luther King were all Occupiers.

I wonder how these lauded men would feel about the rampant crime, rape, and filth reported at the Occupy camps?

      OMGosh!!! I always suspect that “REV” Jesse Jackson was not really a Christian, not educated in the faith, but a user. Every real Christian knows that JESUS came to DIE for our SINS. That’s it. He was not here as anything other that what He is…the WAY to Heaven. Whatever is Good, decent, honorable, truthful, loving, kind, considerate, peaceful…that is JESUS. The Occupiers are nothing like that, but they should be.       The USA. There is a difference between “coining” money and “controlling” money. With the creation of the Federal Reserve, a NONGOVERNMENTAL, PRIVATE BANK, the USA illegally ceded its authority to “coin” money to an entity that “controls” money through debt. The only control the Federal Government should have is to have Fort Knox filled with gold and silver and then issue paper currency BACKED by said gold and silver. Each citizen should be able to go to any bank and exchange his paper currency for real gold and silver AT ANY TIME (’cept bank holidays of course ;).

      I should clarify: The USA up until the creation of the illegal (Unconstitutional. Congress has no authority to cede its authorities in the enumerated powers. Article I, Section 8: To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;) Federal Reserve Bank. Nowhere in The Constitution is a statement along the lines of “Congress, the Executive or the Judiciary may allow some other private, non-governmental entity to perform these stated enumerated (numbered) powers.”

When Rev Jackson makes statements like this he just shows just how ignorant he is about the Bible. A book that he claims to preach and follow. When he says things like this, it makes me doubt Rev Jackson’s salvation. Has he ever trusted Jesus as his Savior and Lord? His words seem to show he never did that.

    And what religious institution of higher learning did the reverend Jackson attend ? These “ social justice ” types are so far from Christ’s mission and message. He did not come to ” put a chicken in every pot.” Jesus was concerned with man’s spiritual life. He prayed. He taught people to love. Jesus would be Horrified at the Hate and Division that so-called clerics like Jackson and politicians like Obama are spewing in His name. He was NOT a political Messiah. He was a spiritual Messiah.
