Rev. Wright Unleashed: ‘White Supremacy’ Drives ‘World Policy,’ Allah & Yahweh Are the ‘Same’…and Clarence Thomas Is Worshipping ‘Some Other God’

  • Obama’s former pastor called Thomas Jefferson “a pedophile”
  • He sees “white supremacy” driving “world policy”
  • Wright condemned the U.S. military, saying, “fighting for peace is like raping for virginity”

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright became a household name during the 2008 presidential campaign. The fiery preacher, who was President Barack Obama’s pastor for two decades, has since retired from his position at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. However, he’s still an active figure in geopolitical and faith movements, as his bizarre commentaries often offend detractors and inspire intense debate.

Last week, Wright spoke at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia, as part of a week-long revival event. His controversial words took aim at Thomas Jefferson, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the media and plenty of other targets.

“I’m not divisive, the media is divisive,” he said, going on to lament the soundbites he claims were unfairly used to disparage him during the 2008 campaign.

As could be expected, the three evening sermons he delivered during the revival often turned to themes and subjects much more controversial than alleged media bias.

“Believers beware,” Wright preached in one of his lessons. “There are some conversations you will find yourselves in in which there is no communication taking place.”

He went on to speak about Jesus and Pontius Pilate in John 18 in the Bible, saying that they were speaking “two different languages.“ This sermon quickly delved into his belief that ”the Italian army — Roman soldiers“ were ”occupying Palestinian territory.”

Then, Wright found himself discussing U.S. operations in the Middle East, while also taking aim at FOX News personalities Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.

“I was in the military six years and neither Hannity or O’Reilly was in the military,” he proclaimed. “Let me tell you one thing they taught us in the United States Marine Corps…fighting for peace is like raping for virginity. Those are oxymorons, but that’s what we do in the name of regime change.”

The controversial preacher also showed no love for Justice Thomas, as he told his audience that, though Thomas “looks like” them, he is “worshipping some other God.” He also made an intriguing comparison about the God of the Hebrew Bible and the Lord depicted in the Quran.

“The god of racists is not the God of righteousness. The god of the greedy is not the God of grace. The god of Wall Street is not the God of Main Street,” Wright proclaimed. “Those are two different gods and I ain’t talking about Allah and Yahweh. Those are the same names for the same God.”

He continued, taking a jab at Thomas and his Christian faith.

“And I’m not talking about black and white…some of ya‘ll think I’m talking about white folk,” he said. “There’s a whole lot of folk who look like you who are worshipping some other God — somebody shout Clarence Thomas. Hallelujah!”

Wright also tackled racial issues, while waging a bizarre accusation at Thomas Jefferson.

“There are politicians who are making decisions about you, about your life, about your future, about your family about your children — and the real tragedy is they live in a different world from your world all together,” he proclaimed. “There are people in power right now who have opinions about you based on their privilege of skin color.”

As he spoke about race, Wright’s rhetoric intensified.

“I am in the text. Pilate was European…Jesus was not European. They live in a world shaped by European standards of beauty, shaped by Moynihan studies, shaped by bell curves — they live in a different world from your world all together,” he told the audience. “They are ignorant and arrogant and these are graduates of Harvard and Yale setting policies over you based on the stupidity of David Hume…Voltaire, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Thomas Jefferson — a pedophile — Theodore Roosevelt and a racist Supreme Court.”

But he wasn’t done there.

“The ignorance and arrogance of white supremacy have the movers and shapers of world policy living in a different world from people of color all together,” Wright raged on. “And the sooner you realize that the better off you’re gonna be.”

Early on in this same address, while speaking about Luke 19, Wright took aim at conservatives, saying, ”You will not hear this passage of John 19 preached on Wall Street. You won’t hear this Luke 19 Scripture exegeted in the comfortable pews of the rich folk, the greedy folk or the Tea Party praisers.”

It is in this chapter that Zacchaeus, a tax collector, encounters Jesus and subsequently decides to change his ways, pledging to give half of his possessions away. Additionally, he offers to give back four times what he owes to anyone he has cheated. Clearly, the preacher sees conservatives as “greedy folks.”

“That is called restorative justice and theology – restore the stuff that the greedy stole from the needy,” Wright continued.

    “Allah and Yahweh. Those are the same names for the same God.” The Christian God is a triune God Rev. Wright. 1/3 Jesus,1/3 Holy Spirit, 1/3 God the father. Islam does not recognize that. Either you don’t know their God, or you don’t know ours. Which is it?

      Interestingly, the God of Dan in Bible… was a reference to Yahwey and Ashera as a Male & Female god duality (set in images of Two Stones alike Tablets as found in shrines)… in old Israel… hence the passages about knocking over Stones. So, simply, the Hebrews disagreed about the Nature of God, and had various Sects, where those of Judah (Jews) were another.

      At the end..YAH will gather the nations to go against Israel and this is for judgment against those nations..then Jesus/Yeshua steps in and saves them and every house in Israel will realize that they pierced their own God..and there will be weeping and lamenting as for the loss of a firstborn. The way it is interpreted is that only one third will hold true to their faith newly acquired and will survive into the millenial kingdom..They will be known as the remnant..Zechariah 12..13 and 14 John Macarthur has an excellent teaching on this.

      The Aleph in the Hebrew text is the symbol for God. It is made up of three letters, two yods and a vav. It has a numerical value of one which would suggest that Christians who worship the God who is triune but yet one , are actually worshipping the same God.

      Recently I have been thinking of the tirade that “Reverend” Wright when into in his “church:” in 2003, asking God to damn the United States of KKK.

      Please watch the short video below, paying particular attention to the reference to “they”, who are apparently some evil segment of our society out to do harm to every one else, and then see if you can clear up a few things for me, concerning this tirade:

      Wright constantly refers to “they” in his tirade, but does not specify who “they” are. Could it be the Mexicans, Vietnamese, Chinese, American Indians, or maybe even the white people? He seems to have a strong hatred for these people, whoever “they” are, to the point of being prejudiced against them. His cheering mob apparently has the same hatred for this group, judging from the reaction they showed to what he said.

      If a person sat in this “church” for 20 years listening to this hate speech, and later became president of the United States, would it be a stretch to assume that he still hated this group. I have always thought that the President was supposed to be the President of all the people, but if he hated a certain group of the society, could he be expected to give them the same treatment as other people, would he nominate anyone from this group to the Supreme Court, or his cabinet, and if he wished for God to damn the United States of America, could he be expected to act in the best interest

      No God is All God, All the Jesus, All the Holy Spirit. To further complecate the mistery Jesus is fully human and fully God.

      Now to Wright’s comment, all white people are tax collectors? All whites have stolen from the blacks? I am decendent from slave owners. After the Civil war the family was stripped of their property (not slaves but land) the slaves were freed (a good and just thing). The family decended into poverty at a level only a little better than the freed slaves (worse if you consider the carpet baggers). I was raised in a extremely low middle class neighborhood – only a little better than the black hood. I scratched my way up to upper middle class. I did not walk over the black people or hold them back, I was too busy trying to climb up from my roots.

      Wright and all bitter blacks reading this – slavery was over 7 generations ago, since 1964 you can call in the feds at the slightest hint of racial discrimination. You’ve had either 7 or 2 and a half generations to crawl out.

      The real problem is you are on the DEMOCRAT plantation. They give you housing, food, and more money for having more babies (future democrat voters) and all you have to do is blindly support the democrat party, show up at the protest, justify more government programs and go to the polls to pull the democrat lever with your pavlovian training.

      Get into your bibles. Wright is an extreme example of the false teachers that are running rampant throughout the Churches. How do you know you are not following a more subtle version of Rev. Wright?
      Are you following a man centered Gospel that sees God as being your way to love, joy, peace, fulfillment, and lasting happiness in this life? This is a gospel that is water downed, luke warm and ready for spewing out.
      If your Church is only preaching a God of love and everyone goes to heaven, you are following a false Christ.
      The bible clearly says that there will be judgement.
      God’s agape love is that He gave His only son to pay the penalty for my sins past, present, and future.
      If my Church never preaches sin and wrath, If I am never told that I am a sinner, then on what bases am I coming to the Savior? Am I coming because of some fanciful promise that Jesus will improve my life? Or do I come because only Jesus can save me from the wrath that is to come because of my sin separation from a Holy God?
      It is through accepting by faith that Christ accepted God’s Just wrath on my behalf that I can now have peace with my creator in this life and a hope for sharing as an adopted son in the kingdom of God.

      The famine of the end times is for truth…the Word. the flood of Revelation is made of lies-deviousness. Today’s church, is 1/3 lost and a full half of the remnant will not ever understand,and falls to perdition. These Christians are the lukewarm Laodiceans, they won’t be able to rightly discern the lie from the truth. These are people who try and replace the Word of God with man’s concept of justice and morality.

      Gonzo — God is not 1/3 Father, 1/3 Son, 1/3 Holy Spirit. God is God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and likely more besides but our finite minds cannot go past certain infinite barriers where God is.

      The key difference betw orthodox Jewish and Christian views abt God is that Judaism misses what Christians call the Triune (3 but 1) nature of God. Both are monotheistic and share worship of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Christians see that there is a Son-Servant-aspect of God that is not seen in contemporary Judaism. Jesus is both man and God in one Being. The aspect of God that Jesus shows us is Son-Servant who willingly sacrifices Himself to rescue us fm the power of sin and death that comes with sin.

      The Holy Spirit is part of both Jewish and Christian traditions. In the Jewish tradition, the work of the Holy Spirit is more limited than in the Christian tradition. Only a few experienced the power of the Holy Spirit’s activity in Judaism, i.e., Moses, the prophets, some of the kings, etc. Joel looks forward to the time in which all God’s people will be infused w/His Holy Spirit, a time that Christians see beginning in the Book of Acts on the Day of Pentecost.

      Thinking that divides God into parts is where the Mormons and other fall into heresy. There is ONE God, not three. There are ways God shows us Himself, the easiest to see are Father, Son-Servant, Holy Spirit.

      God’s law was meant to bring the sinner to Christ.
      Love, joy, peace, fulfillment and lasting happiness ARE fruits of the spirit, but it is not biblical to use these gifts to entice a sinner to come to the Lord. If I come to Christ in order to receive these gifts then what will my reaction be when I get the promised trials and tribulations instead? I will throw off the covering of the Lord because I will see the man centered promise of life enhancement through Christ as a lie, and I would be right in doing so.

      Though I do not agree with Mr. Wright at all, I will take this moment to correct GONZO’s comment about the “Christian God” being “1/3 Jesus,1/3 Holy Spirit, 1/3 God the father”
      The Bible does not state anywhere that your premise is true. The idea of the trinity came about after the 3rd century apostasy when some leaders of the Christian movement got together and tried to make Christianity acceptable to the Helenistic views of many people. They then wrote the Nicean Creed which stated that God was incomprehensible and to make it so they changed what the Bible teaches. The Nicean Creed says that God has no body (but the Bible says Christ was resurrected), has not passions (but the Bible says He is merciful, angry, loves, hates, etc) and is one in three beings. That is truly incomprehensible and totally FALSE. God the Father, in whose IMAGE we were created, is the father of our spirits and through Him we were created spiritually. His Son, even Jesus the Christ, was born in the meridian of time to be the Savior of the World and did all things that His Father asked of Him. He was resurrected after His crucifixion with His body (which was in the tomb and then was not). The Father and His Son have bodies of flesh and bone. The Holy Ghost is a spiritual being who follows the Father‘s commands and allows for our spirit’s to be touched by spiritual power. These three are separate beings with one common goal, our Salvation. They are the Godhead.

      The difference between Islam and Christianity is Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and God’s promise of the Promised Land. Abraham’s wife Sarah could not bare children and she offered her handmaiden Hagar to her husband so that he may have a son. So Hagar gave birth to Ishmael. Later, Sarah did have a son named Isaac. Abraham and Sarah noticed an evilness about Ishmael and send Hagar and Ishmael away where they lived on the outskirts of the desert. God told Ishmael, a great archer, that he and his children would be known as Ishmaelites or Arabs or People of the desert.

      The whole fight between Christians and Islam is over the Promise of the Promised Land to Abraham’s first born son. But it is clearly stated in the Bible that the Isaac would be the descendent of MANY nations and he would inherit the cities of their enemies. So this is why the State of Israel is such a big fight.

      If you were losing your faith in the future of humanity, then I have to question what your faith was in to begin with? I get from the tone of your post that you are turned off by what you see in religion. I ask you to seek for the answer in God’s word; (not in the things men have told you that word is and is not) for God reveals Himself to the individual in His word. You won‘t find anywhere in God’s word to look within yourself for His truth. Christ is the perfect revelation of that truth who walked amongst us but Jesus is not found in us until we invite Him to live within us. Jesus stands at the door and knocks, who ever wills will open the door and He will come in and reside with you. But we have to hear the knock, and open the door. God will not invade our home unwelcome.
      It sounds to me, based on what you wrote, that you see God as something that is outside our knowledge and understanding. What God wants us to know about Him He has revealed through His word in a way that any can understand if the Spirit of God is your teacher. If the spirit of this world, or the spirit of yourself is your teacher, the revealed truth will not be God’s but a false replica.
      Only through professed faith in Jesus will the true Holy Spirit indwell the believer and then the word will be illuminated by the Spiritual light that authored it.

      Do you honestly think the people that voted for that POS racist really care? I had an in depth discussion with someone that was going to vote for obama and pointed out what his relationship with this maniac JW was. I gave samples of his hateful verbiage and what part he played with this puppet family in the black house.

      Their response was “I have had various preachers say crazy stuff all the time. You just learn to ignore the bad stuff.”

      Well Mr. and Mrs. obama voters – The bad stuff is here and if we don‘t change it with the upconing election I won’t care anymore. I will sit back and wonder in amazement at the stupidity of our voter base and watch everyone that voted for this farse get what they deserve.

      I too, have had that conversation with a friend of mine, an Obama supporter. Their eyes glaze over and they pretend to listen and Satan has a stranglehold on them. PRAY FOR THEM. SEND THE HOLY SPIRIT AFTER THEM, LITERALLY. I prayed for my friend for 2 years and then last year, he began asking me questions about something that did not make sense to him. Guess what? PRAYER DOES WORK! He came to Christ and the Holy Spirit is teaching him the difference between right and wrong. He NOW see JW and Obama for what they are – DECEIVED.
      My friend is apologetic to me all the time and I tell him not to apologize and that he too, was deceived by Satan, BUT NOW HE IS FREE OF SATAN AND IS NOW, A FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST.

      PRAY FOR YOUR FRIENDS WHO ARE DECEIVED. DO NOT FORCE THEM TO LISTEN TO YOU BECAUSE THE BIBLE TELLS US TO SHAKE THE DUST FROM OUR FEET IF THEY WILL NOT LISTEN. Love the sinner, hate the sin and have no part in their evil activities. PRAY FOR THEM.
      GOD WILL COME THRU OR ELSE, THEIR HEART IS SO HARD, SATAN WILL KEEP THEM. It is a choice THEY, your friends, will have to make.

      Good observation Coloradomaverick, but you don’t go far enough. Barack Obama wasn’t THE PUPIL, but THE TEACHER of Jeremiah Wright. Barack Obama taught Alinsky tactics for community organizing in faith-based groups at Alinsky’s Gamaliel Foundation in Chicago (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamaliel_Foundation) training preachers to turn their churches into socialist activist enclaves and twist their religion to support “justice” this and that politics. He did this around the time Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity Church was small and struggling. Obama joined the church and for 20 years, as Obama moved on to teaching Critical Race Theory legal maneuvering under the guise of “Constitutional Law”, Obama continued to guide his protege Wright to become a leader in Black Liberation Theology, another incarnation of the same socialist claptrap: everything about Western Civilization, especially America, is carefully designed to oppress and take advantage of minorities and keep whitey the enslaver of everyone else. Wright uses religion, Van Jones uses environmentalism, Cass Sunstein uses animal rights, Sotomayor uses Hispanic identity politics, but it is all just different clothes on the same satanic clown to manipulate people’s emotions into angry victimhood – right out of the Alinksy playbook. Obama was listening in his pew alright – to make sure Wright was appropriately whipping people into a frenzy of hating the majority, hating the country, and hating its values.

      What idiots like Wright, Jackson, Sharpton, Van Jones and other so called “black leaders” don’t understand, is that the only reason they haven’t managed to start the race war that they so desperately want, is because many people in this country have a wealth of restraint and good manners…….however, I believe patience is beginning to run out. There is an old saying that would serve as a very good piece of advice for these race baiters. “Beware of what you ask for, because you just might get it”……..
