‘Reveal a Side You Haven’t Seen Before’: Sarah Palin to Guest-Host ‘Today’

NBC’s “Today” has announced a special guest co-host for Tuesday’s show: Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

“Sarah Palin — live! Ready to reveal a side you haven’t seen before,” a promotional spot for the show vows, promising viewers “what she really thinks about GOP politics and the president.

The news came just after ABC announced Katie Couric would be co-hosting “Good Morning America” for the entire week — essentially pitting Palin and Couric against each other on competing networks, nearly four years after Couric’s infamous campaign interview with the then-vice presidential candidate.

Palin’s response to the matchup?

“Game on,” she wrote in an email to Big Journalism.

She called guest-hosting “a good opportunity to bring an independent, common-sense conservative perspective to NBC.”

“We’re ‘going rogue’ and infiltrating some turf for a day,” Palin wrote.

      I gave up on TV when they forced the digital transformation. I get everything I need online. Amazing how easy it is to kick yourself out of their system.

      As for Sarah, I’ve always had a great deal of respect for her, but I will say that I lost a lot when she and Todd came out pushing Newt. No one, and I mean NO ONE who has done the tiniest bit of research on Newt, can possibly think he is a conservative with the best interests of the country at heart. He is an internationalist progressive that makes Obama look like Bill Clinton. Since I don’t believe Sarah is so naive as to push (she would never officially endorse) someone she has done absolutely no research on, I have to suspect her a bit more than I thought necessary. Either way, Sarah lost points with me. She either knows nothing of a man she is pushing for president, or she is part of the problem that infects the system. The only other explanation I can think of is she was attempting to slow the Romney train a bit by keeping Newt relevant. It’s plausible, but seems too easy to me. I like Sarah and I want to be able to trust her, so I’m sincerely hoping for the last possibility, but I just don’t know. We’ll all need to keep our eyes wide open from now on and question EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE.

      TheSitRep – your so wrong – a cable box give advertisers instant ratings – Nielsen ratings take few days to come out – Cable ratings arein real time. So tune in – then turn off – your viewership counts.

      It must be sweeps week – NBC will use Sarah’s ratings to screw their advertisers for the rest of the year.

      I still think it is the Blaze doing a April Fools joke on us – if so it is as good as the Sport Illustrated prank with the Pitcher – what was his name!

      Swore I would not watch anything else on NBC after they cut & pasted the conversation between that guy in Florida and the police dispatch and left out enough of it to look like Mr. Z was describing the hoodie guy as black, WHEN in fact he was asked by dispatch if the guy was black, white or hispanic.

      This was dirty pool and dirty reporting which I think they do to incite more racial riots to get news.

      This was on the Today show, which I never have watched, but if Sarah is on it, I will watch for her, not for the pretend news they cut and paste together for us, and they think we’ll never know what the did.
      They seem to think we know nothing. Hardly, you NBC folks are the deceivers and I know it.

      The only ones that care about nielson ratings are the people at nielson. They are obsolete. They have no way whatsoever of tracking who is watching content streamed to thier PCs or mobile devices. And because of how television is delivered to the consumer now the provider can and does track what every single subscriber is watching at all times. Nielson boxes are relics of the days when television was simply broadcast over the air and there was no way to know who was watching what. People getting over the air television signals represent about 0.25% of viewers.

      Funny you say that. I haven’t watched NBC for the last 5 years. They crossed the line with me a long time ago. They are an “arm” of the Democratic-Communist machine.

      I’m sure the show will appear on YouTube or elsewhere, where I can watch without raising NBC’s ratings.

      I’ll watch. What Couric and Nicole Wallace did to Palin was a crime. As far as ZIMMERMAN: You should care about the truth, people. The 911 call in which screams from someone were overheard clearly shows that ZIMMERMAN was NOT the victim…he probably threatened TRAYVON MARTIN which was why Martin was screaming, it was clearly the voice of a YOUNG MAN.
      Martin was unarmed. What was Zimmerman’s purpose? The Cops had already told Zimmerman not to pursue the young man…that they were on their way…but he did anyway. I didn‘t see any blood on Zimmerman’s face (his hands? yes but not his face or shirt…noses BLEED). Here’s my final comment: WHAT did Zimmerman accomplish? That he can kill and unarmed teenager? What’s the worst Trayvon could have done? Steal a stereo ? And there was no evidence that he was going to steal anything. I am totally against any “watch” CIVILIAN being armed with anything but a cell phone to call cops. Here‘s a warning to any COP or SANFORD Civil Servant who may be covering up Zimmerman’s crime: DO NOT. You are only making it worse. ANOTHER THING: IF this wanna-be Cop thought Trayvon was armed…he could have fired a shot over his head and told him to hit the dirt and wait for the cops. THERE IS NO REASON WHATSOEVER that he had to shoot to kill. HE had the “drop” on him. He admitted that to the cops on the phone when he was told not to follow. THINKABOUT IT.

      I wish people would wait until the facts are all out about the Martin-Zimmerman case. Unless you were there and saw the whole thing, it’s darn difficult to judge what happened at this point. As far as Zimmerman goes, he does have a permit and can defend himself and that’s about the only facts that are firm at this point other than the names of the two involved. Let’s let the investigator and the DA do their jobs. I wish Sharpton and Jackson would do likewise.

      I agree NOTSMOKINPOT, I hope she is prepared to be on her toes 24/7. As for her supporting Newt, I think allot of people have overlooked a few things. First of all the Dems have always wanted Romney to run. Why? They must be confident that they have enough on him to beat him or they are compfotable with his moderste views and believe they can pursuade him to lean more to their side. As for Santorim, though I like him I do not think he stands a chance because he is a Christian. The progressives have swayed allot of people into believing that Christians are too extreme. It is easy to convince people that are not living in a Christian way that Christians will do more harm than good. Our society is very corrupt right now with porn and lack of morals. Most people are comfortable with accepting less values and not feeling they have to be held accountable. Like it or not this is the way it is. Newt is the only one that could beat BHO in a debate. His massive ego and love for history would drive him to become the President in history that saved this country from the Progressives. He wants nothing more than to be in the History books as one of the greatest Presidents . He would do everything in his power to assure himself this place in our future History books. He is highly intelligent and knows the ways of Washington. He also want to regain his integrity from his past. His ego is powerful and I believe that he would do whatever it takes to repeal eveything that BHO has done.

      Lisalake- I understand how one might reach the conclusion Gov. Palin is media hungry, if one is not aware of the incredible amount of financially draining frivolous lawsuits launched to bring her down. Torte Reform… Losers Pay…. Not one of those suits ever resulted in a victory for the plaintiff. But Gov Palin was awarded mounting legal bills and inaccurate character portrayals in progressive hate filled media venues.

    I’m very suspicious of NBC. What if they plan to sabbotage the show somehow, making Sarah look like a fool: Cameras go whacky; sound fades in & out; guests “act” up. I don’t know. Come on, guys. It’s NBC! Their ratings are already in the tank. I think they‘d be willing to sacrifice 1 more morning’s ratings to get the opportunity to take the focus away from the conversation that REALLY needs to be out there, which is that Obama is doing a really bad job.

      I don’t know about you, but I don’t consider myself adequately informed to judge if George Zimmerman is a racist. However, that doesn’t excuse NBC for lighting this issue up like a bonfire.

      Most people don’t want to inherit the earth therein the mind and hearts of humans, and neither do they want to struggle to achieve the Kingdom of Heaven, and they are content following along doing what comes natural the things everyone seems to be doing [ political correctness]. Where do you simpletons think your souls were before you were human? They were in all the animals of the planet, and that’s where you are going back to, you’ll be a dog, a mouse, a rat, and you won’t inherit the awareness of the human which is called the earth.

    Oh what she REALLY thinks about the GOP and the president. I wonder if it will be any different than the same stuff she has been repeating over and over again? I‘m surprised she’s considering this “going rogue”, at this point I think she is abusing the term.
