PRESENTATION

W: We’re going to hear from Steve Lerner next, of SEIU, the Architect of the Justice for Janitors campaign. Currently, he’s working on partnering with unions and groups in Europe and South America, it’s building campaigns to hold financial institutions accountable.

S. Lerner: It seems to me that we’re in a moment where we need to figure out in a much more, through direct action, much more concrete way how we really are trying to disrupt and create uncertainty for capital, for how corporations operate. And it may sound like that’s a crazy thing that in a moment of weakness we could deal with it, but the thing about a boom and bust economy, it is actually incredibly fragile, because it’s not based on real way, well, it’s based on gambling and all of that. And so there are actually extraordinary things that we could do right now that would start to de, destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement. And for example, 10% of homeowners, going back to where you started, who are under, a quarter of all people who own a home are under water. Right? Their home is under water, they’re paying more for it than it’s worth. Ten percent of those people are now in strategic default, meaning they’re refusing to pay but they’re staying in their homes. That’s totally spontaneous. Right? They figured out it takes a year to kick me out of my home because the mort, the foreclosure’s backed up. I’m going to say I won’t pay. It’s just what business does, it’s a good, a good business decision. If you could double that number, you would make banks, put banks on the edge of insolvency again.

And so the question would be, what would happen if we organized homeowners in mass to do a mortgage strike. Just say if we get, and, and, if we get half a million people to agree, we’ll all not, we’ll agree we won’t pay our mortgages, it would literally cause a new financial crisis.

There are four things we can do that could really upset Wall Street. One is if city and state and other government entities demanded to renegotiate their debt because they’re paying too much interest. And you might say, well why would the banks ever do it? Because they, the cities and counties could say we won’t do this and this in the future with you if you don’t renegotiate the debt now. Meaning, about a third of bank profits generate from dealing with cities and states. So we could leverage the power we have of government to say we won’t do business with you, JP Morgan Chase, anymore unless you do two things: you reduce the price of our interest, since your interest rate is down; and second, you rewrite the mortgages for everybody in the community so they can stay in their homes. We, we could make them do that.

The second thing is there’s a whole question in New York now about austerity and student’s rates and the question of the debt structure. What would happen if students said we’re not going to pay? It’s a trillion dollars. Think about your …sweeping that debt, a trillion dollars from students debt?

There’s a third thing that we could think about, what about if public employee unions, instead of them being on the defensive, put on the collective bargaining table when they negotiate they said we demand as a condition of negotiation that the government renegotiate, we want, we believe in good financial management. It’s crazy that you’re paying too much interest to your buddy the bankers. It’s a strike issue for us. We will strike unless you force the banks to relieve the debt of the city. I’m not going to go through all the detail except to say there’s extraordinary things we could do and if you add on top of that, if we really thought about moving to the kind of disruption in Madison, but moving that to Wall Street and moving that to other cities around the country where we basically said you stole $17 trillion, you’ve impoverished us and we’re going to make it impossible for, for you to operate.

Labor can’t lead it, but we can be a critical part of it. We do have money, we have millions of members who are furious, but I don’t think this kind of movement can happen unless actually the community groups and other activists take the lead. And that’s a big reversal of how a lot of these coalitions have even thought about it, so unions helping community groups, or communities who cover this narrowly. And if you’re se, if we really believe that we’re in a transformative stage and what’s happening in capitalism, and we need to confront this in a serious way and develop a real ability to put a boot in the wheel, then I think we have to think not about labor community alliances. We have to think about how together we’re building something that really has the capacity to disrupt how the system operates.

And so I just, I guess raise that we need a whole new way of thinking about things, which is not a partnership, but building something new. Because the bottom line is, as soon as the union gets sued, it’s going to be terrifying. When we get an injunction that says, you know, you, un, the union backs down. So we need to build a movement based on we know the oppression we’re going to face. And I think the only way we can do that is to think much more creatively, and the key thing I …is we have to say what does the other side fear most? They fear disruption, they fear uncertainty. Every article about Europe says a riot in Greece, the markets went down. The folks that control this country care about one thing: how the stock market does; how the bond market does; and what their bonus is. So I think we weed out a very simple strategy: how do we bring down the stock market, how do we bring down their bonuses, how do we interfere with their ability to, to be rich. And if we don’t do, and that means you have to politically isolate them, economically isolate them and disrupt them. So, it’s not all theory, I’ll do a pitch.

So, a bunch of us around the country are thinking about who would be a really good company to hate? We decided that would be JP Morgan Chase. …. And so we’re going to roll out over the next couple of months what will hopefully be an exciting campaign about JP Morgan Chase that is really about challenge the power of Wall Street. And so what we’re looking at is in the first week of May, we get enough people together – we’re starting now – to really have a week of action in New York with the goal of … I don’t want to go into any details because I don’t know which police agents are in the room, but the goal would be that we would roll out in New York the first week in May—

M: (Can’t hear speaker)

S. Lerner: Yes. …connect three ideas – that we’re not broke, there’s plenty of money; they have the money, we need to get it back; and that they’re using Bloomberg and other people in government as the vehicle to try to destroy us. And so that we need to take on those folks at the same time and that will start here. We’re going to look at a week of civil disobedience, direct action all over the city, then we’ll roll into the JP Morgan shareholder meeting, which they moved out of New York because they were afraid, I guess, of Columbus, where there’s going to be a ten state mobilization to try to shut down that meeting. And then looking at bank shareholder meetings around the country and try to create some moments like Madison, except where we’re on offense instead of defense. Where we have brave and heroic battles challenging the power of the giant corporations, and we hope to sort of inspire a much bigger movement about redistributing wealth and power in the country.

W: You were talking about why unions are so invested because of their pension plans and why ungovernability, as Frances Fox Piven and Cloward taught us, you know, poor peoples’ movements are successful when they create conditions of ungovernability. And then you win victories.

Where are the Conservatives? Oblivious to the fact these Liberals need a foot to their collective backsides. They’re not even Liberals anymore, it‘s obvious they’re hardcore Socialists. I’d hope they (Conservatives and Independents) pay attention to this finding however.

Glenn should get this in the hands of as many sources as possible. The sooner the party is broken up, the faster we can make them clean it up.

If by “conservative” you are referring to the pink shirted cry baby Boehner you are quite correct in saying that the “conservatives” will stand by and let our country descend into chaos
. I would love, *love* to be somewhere when he starts getting all blubbery so I could shout out at the top of my lungs “what are you crying about you idiot? It should not get far is this is truly America. So my question is”How many people are willing to actually take this seriously and investigate on their own time and spread the word?” Call it whatever you want people but this is an attack on society as a whole. Without banks,no one will be able to carry on with normal everyday activities such as buying gas or food for your family. Grocery store chains and restaurants along with others I can’t think of right now will seize to operate. It won’t hurt the rich like it will hurt you!!!!!! Why wait? Let’s bring the fight to them. Start hunting them down and making examples of them to other so-called “revolutionaries” that dare to go against the republic and our Constitution. Only in this country do we allow lawlessness like this to persist and do nothing about it. For fear of being labeled by some agency that is most of the time equally as criminal. Where is our line in the sand? Are you going to be able to look in your children‘s eyes years from now and say that you stood for something or that you sat back because you didn’t want to be in harms way to defend what you believe in? You aren’t going to stop this at the ballot box. These traitors must be crushed, period.

How about the needy getting a job and busting their butts to get the home they want?? That’s the American way. Too many have had everything handed to them already and that’s one of the reasons our country is in the shape it is right now…I’m not talking about the elderly that are on Social Security..They, for the most part, paid into that system..I’m talking about the leeches that are on WELFARE, never worked and have no desire to do so as long as the checks keep coming and the addition of each child gives them a raise…You can go to any public library and read the HUGH regulations on what the LAZY, YOU OWE ME’S can get just by having a baby and saying that the father is not in the home or is unemployed..I’m, again, not saying that ALL recipients are in those catagories, just that the majority are…Why do you think that the cost of the Welfare funds are never broken out in the charts that they show for entitlements in the budget pie?? Because the taxpayers would be outraged by the amount of their money that is given to the Illegals, the unwed (who make this a way of life) and the number of people that are on the rolls that claim their spouses have left them with a houseful of kids and the women have no work experience or training…+

      Watch-Troll-Zah

Here’s my favorite thing when it comes to trolls (like ABC and Kurwa) that have the audacity to use the words “logic” and “reason” in their arguments:

After using either or both words, they then proceed to violate one of the fundamental principles of reason/logic/thought. It is the Principle of contradiction.

The traditional source of the Principle of Contradiction is Aristotle’s Metaphysics where he gives three different versions.[3]
ontological: “It is impossible that the same thing belong and not belong to the same thing at the same time and in the same respect.” (1005b19-20)
psychological: “No one can believe that the same thing can (at the same time) be and not be.” (1005b23-24)
logical: “The most certain of all basic principles is that contradictory propositions are not true simultaneously.” (1011b13-14)

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo….. here are a few examples of how they VIOLATE this fundamental rule-

If they believe that we are truly idiots, then they cannot believe that we are truly not idiots. If you believe we cannot be reasoned with, it is then BY DEFINITION illogical, unreasonable to attempt to do so.

If they do not truly believe we are idiots, but say that we are, then they are engaging in lying. It is impossible for a man to be a liar and “not be” a liar at the same time-so in the moment they prove themselves to be liars, they cannot also prove that they are trustworthy.

If ABC insists that it is TRUE that The Blaze moderator(s) removes all of his posts that contain logic and fact, then by default it must also be TRUE that whenever his posts are not removed, they contain no logic or fact.

If some of his posts that remain public DO contain fact and logic, then his premise about WHY The Blaze is removing certain ones (they are afraid of fact and logic) is FALSE.

And folks, the example just keep coming and coming! People with well reasoned, empirical, evidence bearing arguments who adhere to principles of reason and thought will always try to avoid engaging in tactics that would discredit them or their reasoning. These people almost always immediately resort to name calling or insults because their arguments are so weak that they must focus the conversation elsewhere in order to control its direction. Their very behavior reveals exactly what they are attempting to hide.

I have often noted that liberalism is not constrained by logic, especially the law of contradiction. (Moral relativism is a case in point, as if morality is relative, then the case could arise wherein you regard as moral something I hold to be immoral, as it is impossible for something to be both moral and immoral, then morality must be absolute.)

      How interesting!

May I remind you that your initial comment that I replied to was that the US “has a higher crime rate” than Australia. It did not specify “murder” as the ONLY crime in which the US has a higher rate than Aus.

You posted BOTH countries satistics regarding “murder” because the United States does indeed have a higher murder rate than Australia. But you posted only ONE country’s statistics regarding “rape” – the United States is indeed #9. Why didn‘t you also post the FACT that Australia’s rape statistic is HIGHER-Australia is #3???

ABC should be along here soon to point out that you are “ignoring the facts” when they don’t support your arguments (like he says GB does), or “making up facts” to do the same thing. Not calling you out would make him a hypocrite.

With all due respect, you should really clean your ears out and LISTEN once in a while:

Architect of the groundbreaking Justice for Janitors campaign, Stephen Lerner has spent more than three decades successfully uniting hundreds of thousands of janitors, farm workers, garment workers, and other low-wage workers into unions and lifting entire communities out of poverty.

Lerner currently directs SEIU’s banking and finance campaign, mobilizing SEIU members and other community groups across the country into action to break the decades-long stranglehold Wall Street and big banks have had on our economy and democracy. Through this campaign SEIU is also partnering with unions and groups in Europe, South America, and elsewhere to build a campaign to hold financial institutions accountable in a global economy.

In his previous role as director of the union’s private equity project, Lerner launched a multi-year campaign to expose the overleveraged, unregulated and unsustainable feeding frenzy of private equity firms during the boom years and the economic disaster that would follow once the bubble burst.

Lerner is a frequent contributor on national television and radio programs and has published numerous articles charting a path for a 21st century labor movement focused on growth and meeting the challenges of a global economy.

Look it up yourself on HuffPo…

Don’t think that the literal version of janitors for revolution and overthrow is the whole picture, just a small pixel in the big picture. All those “teachers” who staged the weeks’ long sit-in In Madison–how many were actually teachers especially after the first week? Look to a couple of statements from union leaders: Andy Stern(former head of SEIU): “First we will try to power of persuasion and if that doesn’t work, we will use the persuasion of power.” Rocco Landesman(head of NEA): “We have power because we have millions of members who willingly pay millions of dollars in dues.” The irony for me in Mr. Landesman’s statement is the use of the word, “willingly.” Using his logic, I guess we could say that 52% of Americans willingly pay taxes so 48% of Americans can pay no taxes. We were told throughout the O’s campaign that he was going to fundamentally tranform America. Then and now, I ask into what is it going to be transformed. Currently, the O is saying that Qaddafi must go and I want to know to where is he going. The O and his acolytes have been saying that America needs to be more like Europe. Which Europe? The collective Europe of today that is running away as fast as it can from the nanny-state, government knows best system that is bankrupting it or the individual Europe of 10 or 20 years ago that thought its system was best and just kept kicking the financial can further and further down the road.

@ KURWA……your country’s governing documents may mean your government is like a benevolent sugar daddy to you but the US constitution does not permit our government to provide free stuff even though they have overstepped their limits on power and do in many areas. Their charge is to protect our liberties and rights against all threats foreign and domestic. We emphasize personal responsibility and that each individual is responsible for their welfare. Of course people have unfortunate things happen but that is why America has been and still is the most generous nation ever to exist on an individual level in the history of mankind sending aid to other countries and the less fortunate in our own borders when they take responsibility for their actions (if a man shall not work he shall not eat). However, the mentality of your socialistic country stifles charity as is factually proven based on the international charity generated from socialistic countries on a personal level. Go check the statistics for yourself. This is one reason America is faltering because they act as the social police by trying to make things equal and usher in a semi-socialist form of your government much like the one I am sure you live in. Your ideas really relieve the individual of responsibility in many ways and allows for an entitlement mentality that also then stifles motivation and responsibility for ones own actions. Just take a little lQQksee at the shape most forms of your government are in around the world financially. Not a pretty picture is it. Even though America is shaking because of our tendencies toward your ideas for government rather than remaining true to the founders ideas about what our government should be and do, we still remain the strongest economic power in the world by a fair margin. And guess how we got there. By capitalism and individual responsibility and a foundation that started on faith in God for the most part. Socialism sure does equalize people economically………….by bringing everyone down, not improving the living standard.

“US constitution does not permit our government to provide free stuff”

The constitution has nothing to say on the subject, either for or against. And its not about free stuff its about making an investment in people so later they can give back to society and make it better through individual effort. The same applies to business, export grants etc. I live in Australia, hardly a socialistic country but one that is based on the idea of a ‘fair go’ and the common sense notions.

Did you ever stop to think of what the term social security means? You support people to maintain a safe social enviroment. Why does america have the worst crime rates, the worst homeless problem , the worst and most expensive medical system compared to europe?

Why in Australia am i safe to walk into any suburb in any major city with no problems of getting mugged or shot by criminals. Because we relize that sometimes its better to give out unemployment benefits to people to have a safe and harmonious society.

@ KURWA…………Nice dodge but you have been outed and busted and socialism does not outlaw private ownership. It is a merger of both private and government ownership. You are dishonest and you have been found out and I was right all along. You won’t admit it. But everyone that reads these threads knows who you are in general and where you are form. And you have no clue what the intent of our founders were so if you want to go there lets have it !!!!!!!

Socialism is an economic and political theory advocating public or common ownership and cooperative management of the means of production and allocation of resources.[1][2][3] A socialist society is organized on the basis of relatively equal power-relations, self-management, dispersed decision-making (adhocracy) and a reduction or elimination of hierarchical and bureaucratic forms of administration and governance; the extent of which varies in different types of socialism.[4][5] This ranges from the establishment of cooperative management structures to the abolition of all hierarchical structures in favor of free association.

As an economic system, socialism is the direct allocation of capital goods (means of production) to meet economic demands so that production is oriented toward use and accounting is based on some physical magnitude, such as calculation-in-kind, or a direct measure of labour time.[6][7] Goods and services for consumption are distributed through markets, and distribution of income is based on individual merit/individual contribution.[8]

Market socialism retains the process of capital accumulation, but subjects investment to social control, utilizing the market to allocate the factors of production. The profit generated by publicly owned firms would go to a social dividend, which would be used for public investment or public finance. Market socialist theories range from libertarian theories like mutualism, to theories based on Neoclassical economics like the Lange Model.

The ownership of the means of production can be based on direct ownership by the users of the productive property through worker cooperative; or commonly owned by all of society with management and control delegated to those who operate/use the means of production; or public ownership by a state apparatus. Public ownership may refer to the creation of state-owned enterprises, nationalisation or municipalisation. The fundamental feature of a socialist economy is that publicly owned, worker-run institutions produce goods and services in at least the commanding heights of the economy.[17][18]

. Socialism has been proposed in many forms. Perhaps the most popular form is social democracy, in which workers vote for their supervisors, company policy, and industry representatives to regional or national congresses. Another form of socialism is anarcho-socialism, in which employee-owned firms would compete or cooperate on the free market, absent any centralized government at all. As you can see, a central planning committee is not a necessary feature of socialism; only worker ownership of production is. Dictatorships can never be socialist, because workers do not own or control anything when a ruling elite is telling them what to do. For this reason, socialists reject the claim (made by the Soviet Union itself) that the Soviet Union was a socialist country. It was instead a brutal dictatorship over workers.

      Kurwa,

It’s a futile effort. The Blaze takes down posts that present facts and logic, which together reveal Beck and his website to be rife with errors and misstatements. On a legitimate site interested in the truth, the moderator doesn’t censor views that he or she disagrees with. He responds to them with a post of his or her own in response. The Blaze is different. They are not about truth, but about creating a bias-confirming echo chamber. So they must take down cogent alternative explanations since those cause the echo to dissipate. The Blaze wants to traffic in lies and its fans need to hear those lies to feel safe and secure in their opinions. So sad that such a strategy can still attract one or two million people, and that is enough for Beck to make a comfortable living. To hell with educating people in a democracy. An eight figure income is much more fun…

Fight the good fight, but understand what you are up against.

      Home of the Brave,

Neither Kurwa nor I is a troll. We are intelligent people with different views. That you assume that we are trolls or fools makes you look like, well, you know what you look like when you assume too much…

The Blaze regularly takes down my posts, since they reveal with facts, sources and sound logic that:

      1. Beck doesn’t know what he is talking about most of the time
      2. Beck ignores many facts to make his over-the-top arguments and claims
      3. Beck makes up a great many facts to do the same
      4. Beck’s fans are apparently fools since they over look #1-3
      5. Beck wants his staff to censor postings that make clear to even fools #1-3

Given this history of deceit and censorship, your comment about not arguing with fools is not really appropriate here.

@ KURWA………..so are you really going to tell me that your countries health care is better than ours here in the US? That is rich really rich. Oh give me a minute while I gather myself. Oh and more homeless, oh that is good really good. Would you like to look at some homeless rates, poverty rates, addiction rates, abuse rates in some socialist countries compared to here in the US? Oh that is good, very funny. And you must think neighborhoods here are terrorist zones or something. For someone who told me to comment after I traveled some more you seem pretty oblivious to the safety that exists in the US. Could it be that this country is so attractive to people (including foreign criminals) that they see a gold mine? Take a look at how many illegal aliens are in our jails and commit crimes my little Aussie liberal friend. Our system you espouse as crime ridden and indifferent or cruel to the down trodden is the world leader for a reason. We have done more to free people and enrich the standard of living around the world than any other country in human history. Have there been corrupt leaders that have done wrong things absolutely. But that does not nullify the success of our system and form of government that has proven itself by the success we enjoy as a people and country !!!! The fruits of our way of life and government speak for themselves. Unfortunately, evil men and subversive groups have molested and raped our way of life and have distorted and tried to change and manipulate what we were intended to be and America is now declining not because our system has failed but because our system as it was originally designed has been forever altered and in many ways abandoned altogether.

Do you have facts, sources and sound logic to prove that your posts are removed for the reasons you emphatically state that they are? Intelligent people insist on facts.

Like the fact that the US is a REPUBLIC, not a democracy (as you stated above)

And if you’re going to claim that Beck actually “brings home”/pockets an 8 digit income every year, I’d like to see you back that up with facts too. NOT quotes from magazines or websites-actual PROFIT he nets every year after paying expenses and taxes. (And intelligent people like you would never take the easy way out and just parrot stuff someone else has claimed would they?)

      “I am a physician !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Great so let me tell you about the health system in australia and why it’s better than both the united states and britain. Low income earners get free health care through goverment hospitals and others pay a nominal fee.. However if you want to go private and pay you can for a better level of quality. There is a dual system that provides balance that is needed to society. The people benefit and the insurance companies still make a profit. We don’t have 60 percent of hospital staff chasing down insurance claim like you do. We don’t have insurance companies running roughshod over patients. You can choose your own doctor , There are no death panels , People have a choice. As a physician I cannot fathom how you think this is socialistic or harmfull to society. Well actually I can because you have closed your mind to alternatives in an ideological fervour.

Government dictates allocation of resources using your taxes and if you want something different or better you pay for it again? That is quite an argument you made there. Boy where do we sign up? I can’t wait to pay higher taxes and then pay more for private quality care according to your own words.

If you don’t have health insurance in america then you have to beg. You know how bad the situation is and ER waiting rooms are in america so don’t play dumb with me.

Re your statement about paying twice yes its like public transport you pay taxes to subsidize yourself and other people on public transport and if you want a better service you pay for a private car.
But i bet you think trains and busses are evil socialism too and how dare you have to pay for other people. Oh cry me a river you selfish right wing ideolouge.

some facts for you mr right wing doctor
In Australia, the total health expenditures as a percentage of GDP are about 9 percent.
In United States, the total health expenditures as a percentage of GDP are about 15 percent
In Australia, the annual cost of health care per capita is $2,886.
In United States, the annual cost of health care per capita is $5,711.
      from visualeconomics.com

So you are paying more than our so called goverment wastefull socialist system.

The Australian health system is widely regarded as being world-class, in terms of both its effectiveness and efficiency. The system is a mixture of public and private sector health service providers and a range of funding and regulatory mechanisms:
People make their contribution to the health care system through taxes and the Medicare levy based on their income, and through private financing such as private health insurance.

The aim of the national health care funding system is to give all Australians, regardless of their personal circumstances, access to health care at an affordable cost or at no cost, while allowing choice for individuals through substantial private sector involvement in delivery and financing.
      * The Australian government with the primary role of developing broad national policies, regulation and funding.
      * State and Territory and Local governments who are primarily responsible for the delivery and management of public health services and for maintaining direct relationships with most health care providers, including regulation of health professionals and private hospitals.
      * Private practitioners including general practitioners, specialists and consultant physicians.
      * Profit and non-profit organisations and voluntary agencies.

The Australian Government’s funding includes three major national subsidy schemes, Medicare, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and the 30% Private Health Insurance Rebate.

@ KURWA……do you even read my full posts? cause you make yourself look pretty foolish. Try rereading my last post and see where I listed just a few of the programs here that help those who have no insurance besides the ER. You got in trouble once from not reading my full post. I would have thought you learned your lesson then? I have run one of those special clinics for a while my friend. You really look desperate now. You never did address the fact that you admitted that private health care provides better quality and how your social justice isn’t very just. Why can’t less fortunate people have the same quality of health care as you do? That seems pretty mean of you. I guess it is just to appease your conscience that at least they get something so you don’t feel too guilty for your really good quality health care. It seems given the tone of your last post I would say you are ticked at what you posted and how bad it makes your argument look. You have done a better job than me in exposing the wrong assertions of your position and the main point of mine. Thank you although I am sorry that it has made you upset.

Second you still have not addressed your elitist attitude given the fact you thought you were better than me when you falsely assumed I managed a trailer park, rather than being a physician. I am still waiting for your defense of that one.

Thirdly, kudos for the copy and paste liturgy on the Australian health care industry. Did that come from a pro-government website? Did you ever think about what goes into our cost of health care per capita in the US (in the spirit of compromise I’ll just accept your numbers)? Try billions and billions of dollars going to illegal aliens that do not pay into our system whatsoever that all the rest of us subsidize thus driving those numbers you gave above where they would be if it were not for this problem that has literally bankrupted a number of our bordering states. Last time I checked Australia doesn’t have a very extensive problem with illegal immigration. You are obviously frantically doing internet searches to argue with me over issues you don’t understand. In the process because you are being handled you are becoming increasingly personal in your attacks. This almost always indicates a person who instinctively knows they are in a weaker position and losing a debate. It is OK! You have jumped in over your head and now are trying to save face and climb out gracefully.

Finally, your socialist idea of health care is a horrible idea. Government never never never does anything from a benevolent or efficient position. Their goals and objectives are ALWAYS politici(s)ed and that makes it a bastion of corruption and special interests. Your liberal ideologies and emotion driven ideas have removed your ability to think clearly and critically on this issue.

You are overeaching again in your ideological fury and puting words into my mouth. I never talked about equality but a base line so all people can access a competent level of health care and not be ripped off by insurance companies or have to beg for charity to get medical care as you proudly describe your system. As for my elitism I have no problems that you are running a backyard abortion clinic out of your trailer or ‘special clinic’ as you call it.

You sound like an anarcho-capitalist who thinks goverment run police, libraries public transport , health services and taxation should be abolished and everything should be private. If people can’t afford these basic services then its their fault and they should beg to go getters like you so you can feel all superiour and tell them to turn to Jesus.

@ KURWA……….WOW talk about over reaching !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all I do not believe in abortion thank you. It is murder. Second your desperation surfaced again as you jabbed once more at me personally. Next, who said I was against government police or libraries? Fourthly, who is ripped off by insurance companies? There are many cooperative plans here in the states that are not insurance companies at all. Fifth, most who have private insurance have it as a benefit through their work and are quite happy with it and pay very little for it. I’ll let you do a search for the figure of how many are happy with their private insurance coverage since you are relying on the net so heavily. Sixth, who is begging? So your less fortunate get a government handout and ours get individuals who donate their time and money to help people and become involved in their life in many instances as well as provide free health education and sometimes help them get training and jobs. Also, many of our “less fortunate” get state insurance called Medicaid that provides them access to the same quality care that anyone else has access to unlike Australia according to you. Seventh, you did not address any of the facts I posted last time you simply attacked me, called me names, then disparaged my religion. If that isn‘t arguing from a position of weakness I don’t know what it would be then. Eighth, yes sometimes when people can’t afford certain things it may be their fault not everyone is a victim and some people no matter how much help you give them will not help themselves. Believing that individuals do have a responsibility for themselves doesn’t make you heartless rather quite the opposite because you desire them to become productive to then help others that have suffered in some tragic way. Ninth, it is not I who apparently feels superior. You have made your feelings of superiority apparent whenever you disparaged me for being a trailer park manager even though I was joking. Finally, a baseline huh? “Great so let me tell you about the health system in australia and why it’s better than both the united states and britain” Baseline access doesn’t really make the argument then does it? I will await your discussion on the illegal immigrant problem you totally dodged as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Below is a reminder of just who in this debate thinks they are superior.

      KURWA posted………………….

      “I manage a trailer park !!!!!!!”

hhaahaha I rest my case . Look i have nothiing against trailer park folk who get their news from glenn beck and think europe and aus are socialist countries, I’m just saying they need to travel the world first and check out the variety of opinions out there.

Janitors of the World Unite!!! And, ask yourselves whether: (1) your stingy employer, (2) your greedy colleagues, (3) your benevolent government, (5) your union or (5) some other factor sets the wage, the price, the value of YOUR job! If you thought about it for more than a minute, you‘d recognize that what sets the price is someone’s willingness to do the same work for less than you would; unless, your benevolent government decides that it isn‘t ’fair’ to pay less than whatever gets your representatives reelected; unless, a union comes in and puts up a wall so that no one would dare come in and do your job for less that you would! So, from THAT standpoint, union wages will be HIGHER than they would otherwise, and THAT WAGE will be more than the market would set if left alone! But the union sword cuts both ways–EVERYONE will make the same wage; that is, better peformance will NOT be recognized, AND there will be no ‘starter’ or ‘part-time’ jobs–otherwise it would be taking jobs from union members! Oh, and, if a manager misses and pees on the rim of the bowl, he CANNOT use a tissue in an attempt to clean up HIS mess! It will be left for YOU, after festering for a few hours, until it is on your scheduled rounds! Gee, that’s efficient! Does the untion really do you a favor, or does it insert artificial walls, based upon historical performance, to make sure that things cannot change! Sounds like a dinosaur-maker to me!

Their mindset is better a Prince of Hell than a Servant of Heaven. Sure is quite telling about who they hold in high regard does it not. Also, I would say that even though he was an atheist that he (and many of those that follow his ideals) are more a servant of the Evil One then they even know. He is the god of this world and they are absolutely blind to it. Thinking themselves the master of their own actions and destiny. Very sad. The greatest tactic of Satan is not necessarily convincing the world that God doesn’t exist in one form or another, but rather that he doesn’t exist.

@ GONZO……Amen !! There is no such thing as a “free” person in all creation. You are either the slave of Satan or the bondservant of Christ (which is really the only way one becomes free !!!) I love the ironies of the word. Die to live, become a bondservant to become free indeed, be last to be first, be humble and God will exalt. God is awesome. I do have compassion for those under Satan’s control and are not aware of it though because that used to be me. Life is bitter under his rule.

      Typology of Satan……………………………….

10 Then the slave drivers and the overseers went out and said to the people, “This is what Pharaoh says: ‘I will not give you any more straw. 11 Go and get your own straw wherever you can find it, but your work will not be reduced at all.’” 12 So the people scattered all over Egypt to gather stubble to use for straw. 13 The slave drivers kept pressing them, saying, “Complete the work required of you for each day, just as when you had straw.” 14 And Pharaoh’s slave drivers beat the Israelite overseers they had appointed, demanding, “Why haven’t you met your quota of bricks yesterday or today, as before?”

There’s a perception that America has a two-party system of government. In actuality, they are one and the same. George W. Bush was elected to govern from the right, whilst Obama was elected to govern from the left. You end up with the same BS. The people are waking up thanks to people like Glenn Beck, Palin, Bachmann, and others, telling the truth about these commies that want to ruin our country and turn it into their idea of what it should be. We need to re-instate the “House Committee on Un-American Activities”. Joe McCarthy was right after all wasn’t he? I think there‘s enough Americans out there that know what’s going on, and we really need to clean house and SOON!!!!!

We sent people to congress with the express purpose of cutting the budget and stopping the abusive spending. I’ve e-mailed Boehner several times about this and all I get in response is some lame CRAP about 6 or 7 million dollars that they have cut from the emergency budget. I tell them CUT THE DAMN BUDGET and they are deaf. I tell them STOP THE SPENDING and they are deaf. I think these clowns have ALREADY been compromised and are currently in cahoots with the scum that was already there. I hope that I am wrong, but there is little indication that our freshmen understand plain American-English. Now this bunch of idiots wants to bring down our financial institutions such as our banks and Wall Street. As far as I am concerned, the steps they have already taken justify them being arrested and charged with sedition. ANY further action on their part should be seen as an act of war against the US, and they should be charged with treason. If they resist, they should be seen as enemy combatants and treated as such until they cease their resistance. If they are convicted, they should be EXILED rather than executed. A bounty of $1,000,000 should be placed on their heads, payable to ANYONE who finds them inside the borders of the US and/or her territories. I don’t care HOW they came to be within the borders of the US either. SCUMBAGS ONE AND ALL

      Slayer,
The problem is that they only control one house in the Federal Government, and it is the weakest of the houses. The Senate can block anything they wish. As for the states, I live in VA and it is the same issue here. Conservatives control the house and governorship, but the Senate is owned by the liberals, so nothing substantive can get through. We have to have a 60% unblockable majority in everything to overthrow this crap. The best we can hope for is defunding stuff, maybe.

I firmly agree! Furthermore, the redistribution of wealth is a direct contradiction to, and assault upon Liberty itself. Why? The Founders NEVER intended that we have a tax on personal income.

The American Dream is: Life, Liberty, and Property. That means you, and the government, do not have a right to mine or anyone else’s! Please pass this on to everyone you know.

I also love that some people are saying this country isn’t broke which may be true as long as the printing presses keep printing money. A State needs to investigate this. Holder will not. Collect the information and initiate criminal prosecution. That will get more press attention and then force this, very visibly, on the Feds. If they do nothing, you start Congressionals on the matter concurrent with prosecution and you press forward with the RICO suit.

Sad to say we have been checkmated. If we remain supine we lose the country and our children and grandchildren. If we fight back, a cultural and ideological war the likes of which mankind has never faced before ensues and we lose the country and our children and grandchildren. We may win the struggle but it will never again be the world we grew up in and the goodness or badness in that result is debatable. Beck is right in many things. He is wrong on his Gandhi/King Doctrine. But the enemy have been laying these traps for many decades and our time to prepare is short. The reality is you are hated not because of what you did but who you are. Content of character? The enemy cannot recognize what they do not possess. The pillaging has commenced, the walls have been breached, the enemy is within. Broken Arrow. The truth has no agenda.

This is a pure example of how much damage the radical left and their zombie army have done to this nation. As I have said at the end of my youtube vid, Liberties Lost, Death of the Republic? America, we are in a lot of trouble. You can’t sit around “waiting for someone else to do something”! That “someone else” you’re waiting for is… YOU!! If not for yourself, do it for them… (children)

Please correct me if I’m wrong :

Sedition/Treason is a crime to which the punishment is death ? Yes or No

The DOJ is required by the Constitution to enforce the laws regarding these acts ? Yes or No

Has the DOJ in fact committed Treason for NOT enforcing the laws in this matter ? Yes or No

Since the DOJ refuses to fallow the laws or enforce them, does that not place the duty, right, and responsibility upon the citizens to in fact act upon these acts of Sedition/Treason ? Yes or No

There are irrefutable cases of Sedition/Treason being committed across America. It is our Right and Duty to act as citizens of America. It is time to ACT, defend your country, defend your rights, defend your freedom, and above all defend your lives and your way of life !!!!

Lerner’s SEIU partner, Andrew Stern, visited the White House more than any non-governmental official in Obama’s tenure. Obama once said, “You will know be by the people I surround myself with.” I’m terrified to come to know him this way. This story is bigger than Watergate, given the implications for someone trying to force us into a second financial crisis. It makes you wonder about the timing of the first crisis. I know that the national news won’t likely even mention this, but I think it may be one of the biggest news stories of our time. We’re lucky that there is at least one newsperson left in America in the form of Beck. Please e-mail the link to all of your friends. They have to hear this.

Make him feel his own words coming back to haunt him. Francis Piven learned a lesson and whined about being targeted and since has scurried away when the light was shown on her. These little cockroaches have no idea what they are messing with here. The wave is growing and there is no moral high ground for these amoral people. True Americans have had enough. Everything he says is defensible, I say as a conservative. The key is how you interpret his words “the system.” If you think the worst and assume it is the whole economy, it sounds like treason. But he describes the “system” of the heads of banks and big corporations profiting from a crisis they caused, so we should disrupt that system. He says banks are getting free profits from 0 rate fed money. Don’t we all agree? We just never made the national political decision of who takes the losses: only mortgage holders, or 50-50 banks and borrowers. I hope this guy goes on Glenn’s show and calmly talks through it all to see where we agree.

The facts are that they did take the first steps then never followed through with the redistribution part! Our DOJ hasn’t won a major court battle in years. There just isn’t the intellect in government law to prosecute such a conspiracy these days. I suggest we build a counter structure, not in the cover of darkness, like the socialized are doing. The republic stands on law and order. We need to stand on our Constitution, know it and love it. We need to learn how to govern ourselves and our local communities. We need to stop depending on the Feds to tell us what to do or to give us our daily bread. Glenn keeps giving us examples of those doing this but it’s time for more of us to live it.

      I have a proposal
      – Get off of all govt handouts and welfare including unemployment.
      – Lawfully purchase small arms and know the proper usage and handling of them.
      – Show support for law enforcement officers
      – Handle disputes at the lowest level possible – resolve them one on one peacefully, in your local church, in your local community. Stay out of the court system as much as possible.
      – Encourage your Church to prepare with food storage, etc.
      – Start voicing your opposition to collectivist ideologies. Start providing solutions to our problems.
      – Run for school board, city council, mayor, etc. Freedom lovers can stop socialism at the local level by getting your local communities off the state and federal dole.

      THESE ARE TRAITORS!!

Because President Obama works very closely with communist union leaders and community organizers, it is not expected that his Department of Justice will take action against these traitors. They have failed to prosecute similar cases involving espionage, voter fraud and intimidation, unlawful disruption of business and violence towards private citizens, known embezzlement of public and union funds, etc.

We are being enslaved by a tyrant and his minions. And just as it was with the rise of Hitler to power, very few spoke out against him. Are we, too, going to let this happen? Are we going to assist Obama in his quest to become America’s first dictator, because as surely as I live, that is his plan. That may be why he visited the communist dictator of Brazil this week.

I saw the show last night and just now listened to the entire speech at ‘The Blaze’.

While listening, I kept thinking, hmm, maybe a Class Action lawsuit against the SEIU. Then at the end of the uncut stream he exposes that this is his fear too. Labor Unions becoming involved, he says, should not be where this ‘destruction of the system” plan should stem from. And he’s so right about that since 1) there could be legal consequences and 2) grave financial consequences (their pensions are tied up in the same stock market he wants to destroy). This is why he emphasizes over and over that this movement, this plan, must come from other places; community groups and activists. Too bad it’s now out in the open; this man “THIS SORRY PERSON” wants to enrage others to destroy Union pensions, the financial market, Republicans, “these folks” oh, and JP Morgan Chase. (JP Morgan Chase being singled out by ‘he and a bunch of us around the country’. Sigh and sheesh.

      Just a thought.

Everyone please go to http://www.gradegov.com and they will send a fax free (1 daily) to any Rep you choose. I have chosen Daryl Issa to send the following message. We must do ALL we can to let them know we demand an investigation. The fax is sent straight to the Capital Representative. Please take time to stop these thugs. Here is what I sent today and yesterday. Tomorrow I will be sending one to Rep Jason Chaffetz thanking him for his letter he sent to Holder.

Mr. Issa I hope you are planning on following up on the Terrorist threat against our banks and financial system planned by the Unions.

I see where Jason Chaffetz has sent a letter to Holder and yourself. We expect you to follow up and make sure this internal terrorism is not allowed.

Here is the video of the Terrorists in their own words. We will be watching. Thank you for all your good work.

Its amazing the number of so called “aware” people that refuse to acknowledge the reality of the “New World Order”……a huge agenda that is Marxist at it roots and that has infected the media and government at too many levels.

I think that drastic measures are the only solution…..drastic in ways that most don’t have the heart nor the courage to support.

So…the dark side wins this battle.

No one has suggested the impeachment of this traitor, who took an oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. I don’t understand why everyone is dancing around the FACTS that have been placed in front of our faces. THIS PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA IS THE LEADER OF A GROUP OF PEOPLE WORKING TO UNDERMINE THE UNITED STATES ECONOMY. I don‘t think it’s the first time, the plan Lerner laid out for the students WAS EXACTLY what happened in 2008,and that plan was put into action years ago. EVEN REV WRIGHT KNEW IT, when he said at the Press Club, that “change was coming, change is coming.” No one questioned what he meant by that because he was brushed off by the media and Obama as out of line/crazy.

This whole thing is treasonous, yet no one is saying anything about this president, why? I hope this posts because my comments are never posted and I’ve been a Glenn Beck follower since HLN(the only time I watched HLN).

@MS-Honor: Peace, dude. Erring thoughts are ok. Subtle trolling for violence isn’t.

@All: Another handful on the pile. Soon it will be obvious to all. Keep peace. Prepare. Watch. Work to expose this crap and take peaceful action. Be strong in principle and behavior. Provide strength for others.

I can remember an America that considered the kind of activities that the Unions, La Raza, and all the other leftist, progressive organizations are engaging in on a daily basis as fomenting the overthrow of the legitimate government of the USA and would incarcerate or deport those persons participating in such activities! If people do not wake up soon we are going to lose the country and our hopes for a free soceity in which to raise our children. All those blind union members that are involved in these activities should look at how well the union members fared in the former Soviet Union and the countries it ruled! Everyone had a job but nobody earned enough to buy the things they wanted because those things were only available to the elites who ran the government. Everyone was equal! Equally poor, equally repressed and equally jailed for saying anything against those in power. It’s coming to America, folks! Get ready.

Oh I get it. I read your response to another and gathered enough context.
You want us all to link hands and chant, and the force of our “peace’ will drive away the evil.
Let me tell you something, and i hope you learn this lesson now rather than later. Those whom you wish to “peace’ away will be coming for either your soul or your head, and it will be your choice at that moment. My choice has already been made. i shall keep my soul, as will the entirety of my family. You want to tell me to “chill’ and just let it all go? Maybe you should read the rest of my posts on here since this site started.

Where is John O’Keefe when you ne3d some real hard hitting investigation? He could do more to bring Lerner down and his compatriots, than the FBI, CIA and DOJ combined. I think everyone, including myself should go to the DOJ website and report Lerners terrorism activities. As soon as I post this I am going there, I will be curious as to what kind of response I get from them after reporting criminal activity against our nation.

Here comes the biggest bottom up move that we have seen, and it will require a top down response. Cloward and Piven would be so proud. Get out of the stock market if it looks like this will actually happen. We should see more activity by mid April. Get into cash or commodities.
