Revealed: TSA Underwear Woman’s Past as Deadly Dentist & Playboy Model

Something just didn’t seem right when we reported on Tammy Banovac stripping down to her underwear and riding in a wheelchair through TSA in Oklahoma City. Now we have a clue as to what seemed off.

According to KSAZ-TV in Phoenix, Banovac is a former dentist who lost her license after a 7-year-old boy died as a result of treatment. She’s also a former Playboy model:

“She stands by her claim that she just wanted to get through without being groped or hassled,” the station reports.

I’m not sure stripping down to your bra and underwear accomplishes that goal. In fact, it could cause an opposite reaction.

    I always make sure I get the new Snap-On Tool calendar. By the way, those chickies holding those tools in their skimpies, they don’t actually let them work on those hot rods. Might be a top ten rule for bimbo’s. BTW, she looks like a robot sitting in the TSA. Theres more Botulism in that face than a Tiajuana crab salad.

    And I sure as hell don’t care about this plastic freak. That is the problem, people don’t think about the consequences of their actions, therefore, get into a lot of trouble or embarassing situations, then beg for mercy.     If she stands by her story, what’s she doing in a wheelchair? Without being sensitive to all the blond babes in black skivvies who are consigned to using a wheelchair to get around, this girl was made up for the photo shoot, and not the pat down. Who believed her? Was Hef watching? This looked like an audition for a summer re-run.

    I doubt the death was intentional. Probably she gave too much sedation perhaps not taking a careful drug history, maybe the kid was on some medicine that made it dangerous to give em laughing gas, something like that. On the other hand maybe she took that dentist drill and bored a hole right through the side of the kids head and out the other side because the kid wouldn’t sit still.

      I don’t really hope to defend her, but rather put this in perspective for all medical providers.

      Children with cardiac conditions need very special attention when it comes to procedures and sedation. Summarizing, they need anesthesiologists who specialize in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology. Ideally, they shouldn’t even go to a dental office for any procedure which would require them to received sedation (such as pulling teeth). In fact, these children usually have their procedures done in an Operating Room in a hospital with a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist on hand.

      The risk has nothing to do with how many teeth are being pulled at one time (the story references how the dad wanted the kid limited to two pulled teeth at a time, and this dentist pulled nine). It’s primarily about the sedation.

      I don’t want to kick the parents of a deceased child, but I would suspect that this kid’s parents were specifically instructed NOT to have any sedation-requiring dental procedures done at an outpatient dental clinic, but they decided to take the risk anyway…and thought they could mitigate risk by limiting the dentist to two pulled teeth. They were cutting corners and mistaken, and probably going against the instructions of the kid’s cardiologist.

      That was just silly. One tooth or 10, the kid needed to be in an OR with a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist. Having worked in a pediatric hospital, I’ve seen some of the smartest practitioners fail to realize the necessity of proper anesthesia, believing that cardiac anesthesia was not necessary for non-cardiac procedures (such as dental work, tonsillectomies, appendectomies). It sometimes turned out poorly for the kid.

      So I summarize with this; she was unlikely aware (as many professional providers are), of the risks of sedating a cardiac kid for a simply tooth extraction. And if the decision was to send her to jail, then she should be sharing a cell with the mother who knew better and took the kid to her anyway.

      I don’t mean to sound indifferent, but just to put it in perspective.

      If she was otherwise a good adult dentist, I would go there just to see the freak show…lol.

    Not. “We are involved in criminal actions and yu better like it, or else”.

      Don’t make those kind of comments about Playboy models!!! I can tell you my friend (a Playboy Cyber-Girl) would not tolerate being groped in general. We haven‘t discussed the TSA so I don’t know her feelings on that. She doesn’t like the pervs who get a hold of her number or the disgusting suggestions on her Facebook or MySpace profiles.

      …and I’m not telling you her name. I’m just trying to give credibility to my comments, not brag about who I might know. If she sees this and wants to chime in, that’s her choice. I’m just tired of comments that seem to be from people who have never looked at an issue. I’m not a subscriber or anything like that, but I will defend it.
