Revealing Vid: Man Strips Naked to Protest the TSA

Though many people feel they may as well strip naked when passing through airport security, most don’t actually do it.

But one man, John Brennan, apparently couldn’t take it anymore.

Though he was fully-dressed as he passed through the original security line, when he was taken aside for extra “searching” he reportedly began removing all of his clothes in protest.

The frequent flyer said he’d simply had enough.  The police report said: “When interviewed about his actions, Mr. Brennan stated he fly’s (sic) a lot and had disrobed as a form of protest against TSA screeners who he felt were harassing him.”

Brennan was not intoxicated or under the influence of drugs at the time, but he refused the TSA’s repeated requests for him to put his clothing back on.

The police report continued: “Mr. Brennan‘s actions caused two screening lanes to be closed and while some passengers covered their eyes and their children’s eyes and moved away from the screening area, others stepped out of the screening lanes to look, laugh and take photos…”

Brennan was eventually arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and indecent exposure.

However, John Brennan is not alone in his nudist antics at the airport.  A little over a week ago, a woman in Denver stripped naked after someone asked her to put out her cigarette. However, unlike Brennan, she was subsequently taken to the hospital–not the police station.

Dividing America along “Race, Class, and Gender“ lines is ”the Marxist way.” It’s no coincidence that this level of TSA screening came about under the Obama administration, or that this man is arrested (treated criminally), while a woman in a similar situation is taken to a hospital (treated compassionately). There is a gender war going on in America today. It’s a war against men (males) waged by Democrats as shown in “Witch-Hunting Males” at Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-SC0a1_Vjs

Under the Democrat party’s “War on Men,” putting him on a sex offender’s list is absolutely one of their goals. It‘s all a part of that hate movement’s (Democrat party’s) agenda of “Witch-Hunting Males” as shown at Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-SC0a1_Vjs

If he is charged, so should they be labeled the same. If we don’t start standing up to this type of invasion of privacy, we might as well stayed out of WWII. Oh oh – I broke the cardinal rule of posting on the internet – never speak ill of Dr. Paul or his followers! lol

@DESERTSPEAKS – The “they” I refer to are the same “they” that the Paulies often refer to when speaking of “the establishment” that secretly brainwashed the millions of voters who prefer Romney over Paul.

@HEREANDNOW – ahhh, yes, here comes the typical Paulbot attack on one‘s patriotism because that person doesn’t align with the robotic talking points of your group.

      a “communist”,
I want to abolish the “first and second amendment”,

P8triot, You were called a douche bag as you have no concept of liberty. How about charging TSA employees as sex offenders for touching young children all over their body? That seems more appropriate to me. Stripping as a protest can be argued to be freedom of speech. There was such a case in Portland, OR and the naked man won. being naked in front of a child should not be considered anythin sexual unless sexual intent was there, such as exposing yourself to a child for the purpose of the child seeing your genitals. People like you would have everyone arrested if you do not agree with them. Sad.

He cannot be charged with this under ORS 181.585 (1), which states “a person is a predatory sex offender if the person exhibits characteristics showing a tendency to victimize or injure others and has been convicted of a sex crime listed in ORS 181.594 (Definitions) (5)(a) to (d), has been convicted of attempting to commit one of those crimes or has been found guilty except for insanity of one of those crimes.” What he did does not rise to the level of sexually predatory behavior. @WEST COAST PATRIOT –

Maybe I’m being misunderstood here. I COMPLETELY AGREE THAT THE TSA HAS OVERSTEPPED ITS BOUNDS. I’ve never said anything to the contrary. I also agree that this guy is technically protesting, however, I simply think that this guy seems a bit crazy standing in the middle of an airport NAKED.

As the great Will Ferrell once said – I FEEL LIKE I’M TAKING CRAZY PILLS! I can‘t believe I’m the only one who thinks that this guy is damaging his cause more than helping it! I can’t believe that a full grown man getting completely naked in the middle of an airport in front of women and children is not seen as crazy.

I’ll admit, the “I bet this guy voted for Ron Paul” comment was a bit low – and I apologize. However, it does seem that everyone that has posted that this was a good idea has been a Paul supporter.

I’m still amazed at the number of people who find it acceptable for a grown man to take his clothes off in front of women and children. I guess as long as you call it a “protest” then its fine.

This man was arrested for breaking the law, not for protesting. I for one, am a conservative and believe in the rule of law. I don’t believe people can break the law simply to make a statement. PS – it is illegal to be naked in public – its called indecent exposure.

I am so disappointed in many of the people here that are so willing to abandon their morals as long as the “protester” is on their side of the issue. I guess old fashioned values have gone out the window.

Last hint: Even if you are “protesting” something – you need to obey the laws of the land. For those of you who actually know even the basics of Constitutional law – TIME, PLACE, MANNER.

When they step out of line, we shouldn’t make a scene or speak up because who knows? Your free speech might offend someone… Your service in the military is deeply appreciated but I fear our wonderful, benevolent government may have filled you with a false sense of trust in their omniscience.
The government is run by people, fallible people, and at this moment, it is DOMINATED by those with gross incompetence and/or ill will toward their “subjects.” If we all continue to sit down and shut up as you suggest, it will not be long until we really cease to be citizens and really do become “subjects.”

@RISEANDSHINE – Thank you for your civil discussion. From your past posts, I very much respect your views. I also appreciate that you expressed your views without calling me a “douche bag” or a “communist.” I’ll be completely honest – when libertarian views are express in the manner you expressed them, I agree with a large part of it. However, when I’m called a leftist, communist, or that I “want everyone arrested that doesn’t agree with my beliefs” – simply because I don’t think this guy was very smart about this protest – it really pushes me away from supporting your group.

But that said, I COMPLETELY agree with you that we need an “honest, transparent, Constitutional government.” I too can’t stand how the government is involved in EVERY aspect of our lives. I was talking about this with my wife recently when we were driving down the road – I mentioned to look around and see if we could find even one thing that was not regulated by the government. Its hard! The street lights have regulating standards, the houses have regulating standards, the cars, the fences, EVEN THE AIR! This is completely out of control.

      Peace as well!

      @BSDETECTOR

I agree with you as well that the government should serve the people, not the other way around. Trust me, I don’t trust the government to be perfect, but I do trust that the process to fix the problems is as perfect as it can get. In my view, the best place to protest is the ballot box.

Every time you tell one of those people with a 4th grade education in a position of power to go pound some sand, your name and number is written down and most likely you are watched and most likely you can end up on the “no fly” list. Blackstone22, I’m glad you brought that up since I watched that discussed on The Real News. They opened the discussion with DHS FAST (Future Attribute Screening Technology), which they all felt would introduce a whole new set of problems. The former TSA Administrator Kip Hawley basically said that TSA needs reform and Buck Sexton passionately laid out his argument that FAST would have a lot of 4th Amendment violations. He likened it to the laws currently on the books regarding polygraphs and how they can generate a lot of “false positives”.

I agree with their discussion last night since I think FAST would be a disaster. Every time that I’m at an airport I feel rushed and hassled and because my heart rate would be higher and I may sweat getting to the terminal, these would be the “false positives” detected by FAST. On the surface it seems sort of like a good idea but it would be unconstitutional (I think) to search and/or arrest someone based off of how much anxiety they had.

I really don’t see what stripping naked is supposed to accomplish. That’s not really protesting, it’s capitulating to the extreme. Protesting would be refusing the search because it isn’t warranted.

@Rowgue – So right. All this does is make the us seem like a bunch of nut-jobs. This guy receives a FAIL on accomplishing ANYTHING except a sexual-predator charge (and likely well deserved since families with kids were likely there).

Again, vulgarity is the weak minds way of expressing itself.

@P8triot: You obviously don‘t know Oregon’s definition of a “sexual predator.” I don’t agree with what this man did *at all*, but let’s not engage in ignorance. He should be charged with indecent exposure. Oregon statute 181.585 (1) states, “a person is a predatory sex offender if the person exhibits characteristics showing a tendency to victimize or injure others and has been convicted of a sex crime listed in ORS 181.594 (Definitions) (5)(a) to (d), has been convicted of attempting to commit one of those crimes or has been found guilty except for insanity of one of those crimes.”

This man stripped for the purpose of protesting a TSA search. He did nothing which shows a tendency to victimize anyone. What he did was highly offensive, but it does not rise to the level of being sexually predatory behavior.

      @SUZANNE D –

Fair enough. Indecent exposure – whatever – the point is, this guy has hurt his cause more than helped it. He got naked in the middle of an airport. I think it was a stupid idea.

It made me think that maybe his wife told the bystanders that he wasn’t really doing it to protest but rather he was doing it to get sympathy. The evidence would be in the eye of the beholder of course.

All kidding aside though……it‘s obvious he’s NOT a sex offender and anyone trying to put that label on him is not capable of understanding the situation. The man obviously reached his breaking point…..as anyone would when repeatedly assaulted by TSA thugs. Our stinkin‘ Congress won’t do anything to eliminate that rogue agency because they no longer represent us…..we should all know that by now. I can‘t count the number of letters I’ve sent to complain, only to receive a bunch of polite double-talk back. So the blame lies with Congress…..not with the TSA because Congress is sitting there drawing a pay check on our backs and doing nothing to earn it.

i am a frequent visitor at PDX and can attest to the somewhat agrresiveness of the TSA there….although i would never completely disrobe, i can appreciate the mans frustruation.

maybe next time i fly, i will arrive wrapped in celophane…..see how that works!!!!

I fly through PDX every two weeks. I think I’ve had the grope down by every “female assist” they have. It’s really getting old. Seems it would just work better for everyone if they had a bunch of dogs lined up sniffing all the passengers and luggage.
