My, my…polling like this on Perry’s first is making us neurotic. Knock it off Blaze…Put some substance out there for us to digest first instead of soliciting uninformed decisions right off the bat. All of this is getting way too emotional for my liking.

Let me preface this with I’m originally from Missouri, have only lived in Texas about 5-1/2 years. You can’t blame the education on him. We’re being over-run with Mexicans who can’t even spell or write in their own language, let alone ours. The schools have to teach to the dumbest kid. My gifted 12 year old is bored out of his skull, but he’s too ADHD to get into the gifted school (he’s top 1% on national test, but gets low everyday scores). I decided I didn’t like Perry when I found out he was FOR the trans-Texas Corridor. I would only vote for Perry if it was a choice between him and Obama, but I would still consider him a hostile.

Ron Paul is the only guy that I feel is completely sincere, and provides true solutions to our problems.

You do realize Alex Jones is a radio talk show host right? His job is to bring to light whatever makes his ratings spike…Like most of what he pointed out as being there is always the side of reason that prevails in the wake of emotional knee jerk reactions.

You can put this guy in with the likes of Savage, Berry, Beck, Rush, Levine…and on and on…Antone can dig up something on someone and tweak numbers to prove a point.

All presidential and congressional candidates should be required to answer the following questions:
      1) Do you or have you ever belonged to the CFA, Bilderberg Group, or Trilateral?
      2) Do you support NAFTA, illegal aliens, and open borders?
      3) Do you support the New World Order, UN Agenda 21, and other globalist views?

Rick Perry is a globalist and the backup candidate in case Mitt Romney doesn’t make it. Michelle Bachman is my choice. I don’t trust Perry or Romney. Why support the same kind of bureaucrat that we have right now in Washington?

For example, the innoculation mandate was reversed 2 MONTHS later by his own executive order. So that law didn’t even last, but I bet you didn’t know that!

I like Michelle Bachmann, but Rick Perry has a record that you can’t argue. Tort reform, loser pays, tax reform, job creation, it’s all good. A lot of business has moved out of states like California and New York to set up shop in Texas. This isn’t a recent thing either, its been happening for years.

Regarding his Democratic roots, my parents voted for JFK and were very conservative. The Democrat Party in not the same one from generations past, it has morphed into a collection of radical elements, card carrying communists, and idealogues who think they are the intellectual elite who deserve to wield power over the masses. They actuallly have the gall to believe they can make socialism work (or they are power hungry despicable liars).

The economic environment in TX is very impressive but Perry has supported sanctuary policies for illegals, the trans texas corridor NAFTA superhighway that was going to tax americans for the use of roads that already exist, debt, taxes and it is widely rumored he worked behind the scenes to undermine the TX legislatures efforts to push-back against the TSA even though he supported it in public.

Perry entering the race is the best and worst things for the nation and state of Texas, by my estimation. Sure, I believe Perry would be a phenominal Prez (Reagan-esque), his departure from the Texas leadership leaves the door open for that uber-lib, mealy-mouthed, jellyfish spined, Bill White to try to weasel into the Governor’s seat, again. (*Tx Lt Gov Dewhurst is running for Kay Baily Hutchenson’s Senate Seat) I will admit, I was, and am a CAINiac, and with Perry running, I mourn the hit Cain will necessarily take, but I would LOVE to see a ticket with Cain on it, top or bottom, doesn’t entirely matter. I don’t know if the coasts are ready for another Texan in the White House, but I sho’nuff know the entirety of the country needs a conservative there.
Playing fantasy Prez tix for a moment:
Perry, Cain, Allen West and Bachman are my draft picks. Pick any two, in any order, and I’m happier than mule eating brairs.

Yes, I do think Perry can win.
We need a candidate who can WIN.
Obama MUST NOT win another four years in the White House.
I do not believe that America is ready at this time for a female president- that sucks but it’s true, and I do believe America wants someone with experience and understanding on some level of the military, not a putz who goes around the globe apologizing and looking like Urkle when he salutes.
Perry has created a lot of jobs in Texas and is NOT a stupid Marxist, does not have associates who are nutjob terrorists and is the longest running Governer and so obviously has executive experience.
I have spent a lot of years in the advertising business and I have to say that Perry LOOKS like the President already, more than Obama does.
Obama looks like a fool, Perry is handsome, looks decisive and strong and like he would make people feel safe and looks how “America is supposed to look”….that may sound shallow but it is simply true….I think people are over the “exoticism” of Obama, they just want to come home.

This has to be the best candidate right now for President, in my mind. As good as Herman Cain is Rick Perry is better because he has government experience. As good as Michelle Bachmann is Rick Perry has decision making experience. We need a President that has a true belief in God, a trust in American family values, a understanding of the Constitution, a knowledge of what American exceptional-ism is, and is not afraid to remember history, the good and the bad. This man could well be the next Ronald Reagan but even better.

      Completely agree with your points.
People think about this: You think Obama is un-experienced? So is Michele Bachman. Perry has been an executive (governor) of one of the biggest states in the US for 10 years! He has the experience that Cain and Bachman do not have.
And there is a lot of hogwash about his record going on. There is FAR more depth to each of those talking points that people keep reeling off. Bottomline, Perry would be good for the country. Certainly a MAJOR LEAGUE upgrade to what we have now—and he can BEAT Obama.

You Ron Paul supporters are a joke! You are second only to Obama supporters when it comes to cheesy canned lines and talking points. “Feels too muck like Bush 3…” What?? It‘s like you people don’t even think anymore. You just repeat things you hear at Paul rallies or see on the web. If you knew your own head from your ***, you‘d know Bush can’t stand Perry, and is hurting Perry’s fundraising in the Lone Star state. You‘d also know that Ron Paul doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in Texas of winning the nomination, much less the general election. When it comes to foreign policy and national security, the guy is more to the left than Obama! And that will never fly. The majority of people in the US openly celebrated the killing of bin Laden. What makes you think they’d now want to vote for a guy who just said in the debate we should let Iran have nuclear weapons? You’re as nuts as Ron Paul, and you‘re going to help Obama’s re-election bid by wasting your vote on Paul. That makes YOU part of the problem. You are no better than an Obama supporter.

Ron Paul is super weak on defense. In the times that we live in, no thanks. If I wanted a President that sold out our national security, all I need to do is vote for Obama, he is doing a fine job already, we don’t need another angle on it. Not to mention…Why is it people have so much trouble with the concept of someone CHANGING THEIR MIND? Can people not grow? Can ideals not change? I get more conservative as I get older, and I sure did a complete 180* when I was saved at age 35. I went through a real libertarian stage for the last few years but am now outgrowing that and moving back towards Christian fundamentalism. I am not 100% right in all my views, take amnesty for instance, I could live with it as long as the borders were sealed. But I am non-compromising on other issues such as pro-life. Why can people not change their stance as they acquire new information? Not to mention that situations change and evolve also.

Now, I agree that the usual politician flip-flops depending on what people want to hear, Romney did quite a bit of this during the last debate. But we do need to allow people to sincerely change their positions.

If Perry wins the nomination AS a solid conservative he won’t need to pick anyone more conservative as VP. He will pick someone more moderate to balance out the ticket. that’s how it works. HE will be the conservative leader on the ticket. He might pick Guliani. they’re friends. And I would be OK with that. The VP spot, after all, isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit, as Adams remarked.
