Robber Forces Stick-Up Victim to Drink Multiple Bottles of Soap

When a gun-wielding bandit robbed a doughnut shop in San Diego earlier this month, he not only used a gun to get what he wanted, he also used another “weapon:” bottles of soap. That’s right, the criminal forced the lone clerk in the store to gulp down multiple bottles of liquid soap in an attempt to get the employee to divulge the combination to safe. The clerk didn’t know it — so he kept drinking:
Fox 5 in San Diego reports the clerk was taken to the hospital but is okay.

They both sort of got what they deserved. Everyone responsible American should have a basic knowledge of firearms.

The victims, all members of the same family, died because the robber forced them to drink Drano. Those robbers we caught and executed! This one should be, too! Posted on April 18, 2011 at 7:50amJust b/c the slide was back doesn‘t mean it wasn’t loaded actually. There can still be a mag with bullets in it. If he releases the holding pin for the slide, it bolts into action. Again if there are bullets in the mag, at that time one would load into the chamber. There does appear to be a mag loaded, but his hand (thumb) is in no position to release the holding mech for the slide.

Even if a mag in it the perp would still have to pull the slide back to load the round. To a mentally and emotionally prepared person the perp would be in trouble, but for most of us its give the guy what he wants and get him out as quick as possible.

Posted on April 19, 2011 at 8:47amYou missed it SM, I didn’t explain myself properly. The gun appears to be a Ruger P90 and there are only two scenarios that work with this handgun. The first is the slide locks open on a empty mag it is how autos are built, I have come across very few that don’t. Second, the chances of this DB racking the slide and moving the slide lock in a stressful situation like this are remote at best. It just doesn’t happen that way very often that is why I wrote “The gun was most likely empty”. Locking the slide back is not a smooth one handed operation for someone who clearly doesn’t know their weapon. There is a very good chance they never fired it before, he a novice. Besides in CA unless it‘s been changed you can’t buy handgun ammo without ID. So the chances the gun was unloaded far out weigh the chances it was. How do I know how this handgun functions, I own two.
