Robert Gibbs Admits: ‘We’re Not Growing Fast Enough and We‘re Not Adding Enough Jobs’

Senior Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs acknowledged Sunday that the economic recovery is not happening quickly enough.
“We‘re not growing fast enough and we’re not adding enough jobs,” Gibbs said on CNN’s “State of the Union.“ ”We‘ve made progress but we’ve got a long way to go.”
Gibbs‘ admission came on the heels of Friday’s weak jobs report that said just 80,000 jobs were added in June.
“I think we are coming out of the hardest economic time in our country’s history,” he prefaced.
“–which we’ve been doing for four years,” host Candy Crowley interjected.
“We have been, and typically when you come out of a recession the depth that we were in…it takes a while to dig out of that hole,” Gibbs said.
Gibbs, the former White House press secretary, said November’s election will be about “two different visions”: Mitt Romney’s conviction about giving tax cuts to the wealthy, or Obama wanting to grow the economy “from the middle class out.”
“We have to grow this economy like we did for years and years and decades from the middle class out,” he said. “Let’s continue to add opportunity, let’s bring this American dream back, let’s guarantee that if you work hard and play by the rules, you will have a chance to get ahead, that your children will have a chance to get ahead.”

Posted on July 8, 2012 at 1:09pmWell Gibbs it looks like your old boss’s plan is working out quite nicely, spread the wealth so everybody’s poorer, have socialized medicine so everybody has the same rotten health insurance and kill the coal industry so our energy will cost more than it should.
Tax and regulate businesses out of business, sounds like a Marxist’s utopia but the good news is the bastard will be fired in November, fixing all the damage he’s done is probably impossible.

I’d like to clear up a lie that the WH and the MSM is telling. They are saying that new jobs have been created every month for the last 27 months.
“Obama and his staff have taken pains to regularly remind the public that the U.S. economy has been adding jobs every month since March of 2010, for a total of 4.3 million new jobs.”
http://news.yahoo.com/obamas-jobs-spin-focuses-27-not-bad-months-231346022–business.html
However, in August 2011 no new jobs were created. That’s right…. a big fat 0. I’ll even give you trolls out there a link to your favorite newspaper, The New York Times.

Thanks for that article. Want to hear something that’s “not” funny?
I like to do my own research. So when I kept hearing that the unemployment rate was not correct I went over to my local Florida Unemployment Office, sat down with a nice elderly lady, gave her my drivers license and SS card and asked her to see if she could find me on the States unemployment list. She said it would take a while and I said I didn’t mind waiting.
After a while she said that I wasn’t on the current unemployment list but I was listed on the one from before that. That’s when I was still receiving unemployment.
Here in Florida, it seems, that they only count those receiving unemployment benefits as unemployed. According to their website, last months rate was 8.7%. I wonder what the real % is?

Posted on July 8, 2012 at 2:47pmBLAZINGTRUTH, good observation. Gibbs’ comment really does shows how backwards the liberal thought process is with this astounding display of economic ignorance (so much for their “FORWARD!” cry.)
I Could not help but to think:
- At what point does the hole we’re digging become our grave?
-Why didn’t he advice us to LEAP OUT OF THIS FINANCIAL GRAVE WHILE WE STILL CAN?
- Is it just misguided ideology, or are they taking us to where they want us? Either way, the consequences are devastating to our Country and they must be stopped and stripped of their power to affect our future.
It’s time to cut non-essential government offices with fluffy, non-constitutional services. Like most Americans who can read the writing on the wall, I’m ready to “squeak by” with a smaller government in order save our economy. We will survive it–rip off the bandage, clean out the festering wound, and get on with the healing!
