Appearing on “The Last Word” with Lawrence O’Donnell this week, Rolling Stone reporter Matt Taibbi tried to answer the question, “Is the Tea Party racist?“ Instead of a simple ”yes“ or ”no,” Taibbi decided to offer his view on the Tea Party and its outlook on politics. He manages to use “incredibly stupid,“ ”narcissistic,“ ”preposterous fantasy,“ and ”un-American” (referring to those who are not Tea Party members) in his response:

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 9:16amRolling Stone should be able to come up with a better spokesperson than this – using the word “stupid” to describe your opponent (or anyone for that matter) indicates a maturity level of a 10 year old – but keep in mind this is the same magazine that allowed Obama to condemn the outrageous opinins voiced on Fox News – while lionizing the same type of opinions on MSNBC…I always struggle with a media outlet that believes their constituents have to be led by the nose ring in order to fully understand – present the facts…on both sides, and let the people decide…and if they happen to reach a different conclusion than you, don’t call them stupid…it just indicates that you have failed in making a compelling case…

Report Post »benicepeople
Posted on October 1, 2010 at 3:15pmHi FlagWaver. I think the thing that is unAmerican is to be mean and hateful to your fellow Americans, just because they have a different opinion or religion. America is beautiful and strong because we have the right to each be unique.

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 3:12pmWow. So you are suggesting that the majority of Americans should be killed. You would like to be a murderer.
Hey Tea Party – is this the type of person and type of comment that you all will stand behind?

You do know there are avowed communists/socialists in this administration and mindless followers such as yourself? Grow up kid, your way in over your head. Do you also think all liberals are communist or socialist..and therefore all these people, myself included, should be killed by you? You are not going to back down from your point that YOU BOB, WANT TO KILL ME. And what is your obsession with telling me I’m in over my head? Are you saying I‘m not smart just because I don’t agree with you? BOB. YOU need to grow up and realize you can’t KILL people that you disagree with.

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 8:55amWhy is this elitist snob some kind of expert on tea party people? There are millions of us- for every one of the 300-500k standing with Glenn in Washington there are probably100 or more who didn’t get to go. There are hundreds of tea parties going on all over the country and you cannot stereotype us. As Christine O’Donnell said, we ARE America. Millions of us, literally. We are a diverse group, united by a few basic principles having nothing to do with race, “narcissm”( this idiot needs to take a look at the President for that), “fantasy”, or lack of reality. WE are the real people- that’s why we were all *working* and couldn’t go to Washington, unlike the bussed in astroturfers of the rallies of the left.
This disconnected New York Times elitist just has no concept of the depth and breadth of the tea party movement, and the simple fact that we unite on lower spending and taxes, smaller government, and a return to constitutional government. It is so simple he resorts to psychobabble to demonize us. HE and the elitists he work with are the ones mired in narcissistic denial. The rest of us work hard, raise kids and are tired of having our money wasted. We can’t afford the “fantasy” of big government anymore.
Report Post »benicepeople
Posted on October 1, 2010 at 3:09pmComeandtakeit – I see the term elitist use to describe liberals. Please explain what that means. Is it a term for people who are educated, rich, rude? Would Beck, a rich man, be an elitist?

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 8:50amBeing the honest republican I am and living my promise to myself to think on my on, I reiterate my comments on this board before. I have stood in line with tea party people and carried signs. Most of you people are bright people who care deeply about your country. Some of you are disturbed and should never be allowed out of your house. It is the crazies I worry about. We are exciting people who are not dealing with a full deck.
Be careful what you wish for.
Report Post »Dojo
Posted on October 1, 2010 at 9:39amThat may be true, but you can say that about any group of people with something in common.
Bill Ayers actions trying to take the government down (Is Obama guilty by association or not?), Environmentalist wackos who think it‘s acceptable to burn SUV’s in the name of the environment (Al Gore, anybody?)
Muslims who justify murdering innocents (because if you pay taxes, you automatically approve anything your government is doing and are therefore NOT Innocent)
The guy who took over the Discovery Channel a few weeks ago (again, Al Gore?).
The Freddie‘s Fashion Mart Riot in New York after Al Sharpton’s speech some years ago.
This double standard is ridiculous.
Plus, don‘t forget that it’s been proven that there has been instances where some left wing wacko has infiltrated Tea Party Rallies for the express purpose of making a scene and discrediting them.
People “without a full deck” are absolutely everywhere in every single organization since we are all members of the human race. I‘ve been in some of those same Tea Party Rallies and the people attending are the most well behaved group I’ve ever been in.

Report Post »Sardu
Posted on October 1, 2010 at 8:42amNot a single Tea Party member I’ve ever been involved with has EVER said a single word about race or raised so called reverse racism as some kind of issue. It’s all about taxes, returning to the principles of the Constitution and restricting government back to its rightful role in our lives. It is demonstrated again and again that it is the progressive left that has tunnel vision about race issues, injecting racial controversy into every discussion because its the only weapon they have left.
Report Post »benicepeople
Posted on October 1, 2010 at 3:01pmSardu. Racisim is a form of prejudice. I find most of the comments on this site to pre-judge me as a liberal. I am not communist. I don’t hate my country. If the tea party wants to be taken seriously, maybe try to stop with all the name calling and prejudice.
Report Post »Bob_R_OathKeeper
Posted on October 1, 2010 at 5:12pmBENICEPEOPLE – So what you are saying is it’s OK for you to judge people here but we are not allowed to judge people? LOL, please grow kiddie, it’s clear you are immature and way, way in over your head. Take Care. Semper Fi.

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 11:03amThank you NORWAY1516….. That’s precisely the point. We have all walks of life, all colors and creeds that endorse the Tea Party way of life. One that is about freedom, one that is about US controlling government. These people in office are one thing, but how in the world do they get all these little meaningless pundits to be on board, e.g., MSNBC personnel, Rolling Stone personnel….Huffington Post personnel….Miami Herald’s Leonard Pitts…etc…etc… It’s amazing that this many people are on board with liberalism……I think it equates to “Anti-Family” life and values…..period……Bill Mayer, that slithering little smart a## interviewed by O’Reilly yesterday…denouncing the Bible and people that follow it as “stupid”….are you kidding me ? Where do these agnostics get off ? He cites one verse from “Exodus” and that negates anything in the good book as truths ? He is a sad little man….quote, “The Bible was written by God”…..he doesn’t even have a clue but what is scary is the amount of attention that people like him get to spew their venom…. God Bless America Bill Maher !!!!! Go live somewhere else you punk #@a Bi!ch !!

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 12:07pmThis is how the demolibersocialcommies have made Blacks a victim class and taught Whites to feel shame and guilt over slavery that we don’t deserve to feel. This is the history they took away from us to create their revolution. Please read it and pass it around to everyone you know who can read.

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 8:35amHow did this guy spend time with Tea Party goers and get such a mistaken impression? I think he started out with his opinion of what he would find and made sure to find it – even if it wasn’t there. As for whites being an oppressed group. Holder’s justice department may give them a perfectly legitimate reason to believe that, though it certainly is not in any way a part of why Tea Party members gather or the agenda which they hope to see implementer – one of personal and fiscal responsibility and morality.

Posted on October 1, 2010 at 12:04pmRead this and pass it around. This is our history the demolibersocialcommies took away from us to make White kids feel shame and guilt and Black kids feel victimized and hatred for Whites. The more people you reach with this, the sooner we can contradict the revisionist history being taught by the public school system.
