Romantic? Occupy Philadelphia Couple Getting Married in Front of Fellow Protesters

Occupy Philadelphia will play host to a different kind of gathering Sunday, when two of their demonstrators exchange marriage vows in front of the entire movement.
Bride-to-be Alicia Nauss and her fiance Adam Hill will say “I do” on the lower level of Philadelphia’s City Hall Sunday afternoon. They met volunteering together at the group’s information tent one month ago when Occupy Philly sprung up.
The Philadelphia Inquirer spoke to couple about their upcoming nuptials:
“We were both here from day one,” said Nauss. “Sometimes you meet someone and you just know. . . . When that happens so organically, so naturally, that’s a sign.”
The wedding is an occupation-wide event. As Nauss was being interviewed Saturday, a woman passed by and asked: “Tomorrow, right? We’ll be there!”
Nauss, 24, said, “People are so generous and so kind and focused on each other, it’s really heartening.
“Our entire wedding is based on people’s kindness.”
According to the Inquirer, the Occupy Philly food committee is baking the cake, and a friend the couple met through the movement is donating the crystal glasses he used at his own wedding 25 years ago.
Hill’s two brothers will serve as his best men, and his father will be in attendance. Most of Nauss‘s family won’t be there, but her 2 1/2 year-old daughter will.
Their families have not met one another, but the couple said everyone is supportive of their wedding plans.
The ceremony will be performed by a fellow demonstrator, who is both a Baptist minister and a philosophy professor. According to Occupy Philly’s Facebook page, music and other celebrations will take place throughout the day.
“We want the entire wedding to embody the movement,” Nauss told the paper.
But the Nauss-Hill wedding will not be the first to grace the encampment. Last month, two other protesters were married in front of their fellow demonstrators.

Does this mean they’re going to have their first night of wedded bliss right there? If they really want to embody the movement, they shouldn’t use toilet paper, either.

But you first have to get your ass up from your computer chair, good luck. Second off, I am a small business owner that employs few, but still few is better than none, specializing in home construction. Third off, her daughter was are and sound with her father 3 days a week and we had her the other 4. When weather was permitting she was with us during the day and Ally would take her home before dinner and spend the night there. So to sum things up, I shower, I work, I believe in the first amendment and helping my fellow man, I’m married to an amazing woman who would give up her freedoms to protect all of yours even after reading your comments, she’s not only an amazing person but also an amazing mother, I am not a socialist, and I believe in educating myself before speaking. You all should attempt the same. To liberal marine, thank you brother for your service to this great nation. Despite what the media says everyone at occupy is behind you guys 100% and I personally pray for all of your safe returns. I also belong to warrior watch and a heroes welcome which are 2 AMAZING groups to make sure the shame of the way our Vietnam veterans were “welcomed” home would never be repeated.

Take a look at Tea Party members…they bathe, they cleaned up after themselves, they got the proper permits for where they staged a protest AND they did NOT crap on police cars. Now take a look at the Flea Party members…personal hygiene means nothing to them, they squat and pee wherever they damn well please, NO permits, and they destroy personal and public property.
