Romney Calls Obama‘s ’Private Sector Is Doing Fine‘ Remark ’Out of Touch’

President Obama is already taking heat for a remark he made earlier on Friday in which he asserted that the “private sector is doing fine.” GOP rival Mitt Romney attacked the comment, saying it will “go down in history” as an extraordinary miscalculation by an out-of-touch president.
During a campaign stop in Iowa, Romney didn’t skip a beat, latching onto what even the Huffington Post labeled a “gaffe.” The Republican presidential nominee said Obama’s remarks led him to ask: “Is he really that out of touch?” He added that Obama is “defining what it means to be detached and out of touch with the American people.”
Romney’s aides say his campaign will continue to give Obama grief on the matter.
The comment revived memories of a statement Republican nominee John McCain made in 2008, during the economic turmoil, that the economy’s fundamentals were sound.

Posted on June 9, 2012 at 2:26amWhen I hear Romney speak, he reminds me of Greg Stillson, played by Martin Sheen in “The Dead Zone”, in his voice, in his mannerisms, in everything. Fake. That is the word for it. He IS fake you know. He is lying to the American people in order to become President. He will NOT win. As I tell all my Democrat friends about Rand Pauls endorsement, they all tell me that Obama will be elected again as they will vote for Obama as they do not trust Romney. One elderly lady told me she got a mailer from Romeny and she just threw it in the trash without looking at it. Paul supporters are angry as heII and they are saying they will not vote for Romney. If the plan was to get Paul supporters on board here, it is failing miserabely. Sorry guys, but your stubbornness of media brainwashing is going to cost you all the joy of seeing Obama defeated. Romney cannot win. I have been telling you for a long time, but you continue to stick your heads in the sand.

One thing I did observe though was the radicalization of his supporters–now full of political thugs like the threatening WESTCOAST person. Sorry, can’t add “PATRIOT” because if you are not planning on voting out the Marxist who will stop at nothing if re-elected, you certainly ain’t a patriot.

Posted on June 9, 2012 at 3:59pmGetlife, You really should get a life. If the Patriots in the Revolutionary war would have thought like you, we would still be under British rule. You can sit there and say you were for Paul, but real Paul supporters know better. It is just like you establishment fed republicans to lie like the establishment candidates. I am just reporting facts to you. What I said in my post above is true. Do you want me to lie and say Romney is a shoe in, Obama is going down, Our country will be saved with Romney at the helm? I cannot because all of that is a lie. The other thing I can tell you is that Paul supporters, although angry over the events the last week, are not deferred, they are still going after delegate spots and we still plan to make the convention a wild ride, you watch. From what I am hearing, we may be even more inclined to vote for Paul on the first round. The lawsuits are going to continue to make their way to the courts. We are not ready to give up, as we ARE true patriots. You, sir, are the sellout to the NDAA, Patriot Act, Socialism and the destruction of the United States.

Posted on June 10, 2012 at 5:40amWESTCOAST, Thanks for responding. Just read your post, then re-read mine. Sorry, you haven’t convinced me that it is somehow patriotic to let Obama get re-elected because Paul would have been better than Romney. (Personally, didn’t vote Romney.) Just observe what’s happened in France. Marine LePen suggested her supporters vote “blank” instead of Sarkozy. They did–and it cost Sarkozy the election– yeah, the same Sarkozy who was keeping France’s head above water by leading towards a more conservative government. Now, just sit back and see what happens to France. Oh, you won’t be able to do that for day to day politics because any conservative voice (very few) in the msm are being methodically silenced…. and the rest is just socialist whitewash.
Marine le Pen thought it was a good strategy. Problem is, the majority of conservatives (and it was a very close election) who were starting to see how she was transforming her party (in a good way), now will never trust or support her.
If Paul and his sectarian followers (and I don’t think all of his followers are as sectarian as WESTCOAST seems) mess up this election for conservatives– his movement is finished.

Tell us what you believe in. Speak the truth (no matter the consequences)…..in other words show us courage. Make sure that the principle of equal justice for all doesn’t only apply to those outside the administration. Promote charity. Stand against hatred and evil. Show the American people courage. Take a stand againt tyranny no matter which party it comes from. You want respect……DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION at all costs to you, both politically and personally. Show us honor. Then you will find yourself “in touch” with the American people and you won’t have to worry so much about what the other side is saying. The key is to get “yourself” in touch with the American people.

————————————————————————————-
Report Post »“ROMNEY: Well, I frankly wish that the last Congress would have dealt with the stimulus issue and that the president could assign that before leaving office. I think there is need for economic stimulus. Americans have lost about $11 trillion in net worth. That translates into about $400 billion a year less spending that they’ll be doing, and that’s net of additional government programs like Medicaid and unemployment insurance. And government can help make that up in a very difficult time. And that’s one of the reasons why I think a stimulus program is needed.”
