Romney Campaign Responds to Allegation He May Not Have Ordered bin Laden Raid: ‘Divisive’ and ‘Sign of a Desperate Campaign’

Mitt Romney’s campaign fired back on Sunday to the insinuation that the presumptive nominee would not have ordered the raid resulting in the death of Usama bin Laden.
It began in a recent Obama campaign video where, after several minutes of Bill Clinton praising Obama’s inimitable courage in the matter, the question, “which path would Mitt Romney have taken?” flashed on the screen.

One of Romney‘s top advisers Ed Gillespie responded on NBC’s “Meet the Press,“ calling the allegation a ”divisive, partisan, political attack.”
“I think most Americans will see it as the sign of a desperate campaign,” he continued.
However, former White House press secretary and current Obama adviser Robert Gibbs maintains the ad is “fair game,” saying, “I don‘t think it’s clear that (Romney) would [have green-lit the mission].”
“Usama bin Laden no longer walks on this planet today because of that brave decision (by Obama) and the brave actions by the men and women in our military — and quite frankly Mitt Romney said it was a foolish thing to do a few years ago,” he continued.
“Maybe the comments he made a few years ago he admits are wrong, or he’s flip-flopped on yet another issue,” he said, highlighting one of the main worries among Republicans about Mitt Romney, that he is not firm in his convictions.
However, Gillespie maintains that he “can’t envision, having served in the White House, any president having been told ‘we have him, he’s here, you know, should we go in,’ saying, ‘no we shouldn’t.’”
John McCain even chimed in to say Obama is “shamelessly turning the one decision he got right into a pathetic political act of self-congratulation.”

I never really cared wheather he was actully killed in the raid or some other way, just that he was dead.It always did trouble me that someone, who in their own book states that they are of the Muslim faith, because his father was, would kill one of his own leaders. All I have to work out now, is why he would send UAV’s to kill his Jihad brothers in their bunkers. I know they just sent up a trial ballon to see how well it would be recieved, saying that the war on terror is over but I never could reconcile how he would support terrorists like Pakistan and Palistine and still be able to kill other terrorrists. It was clearly him, and to be honest, the pics I saw weren’t THAT gory.. I guess I may be desensitized, but I wasn’t too worried about it.
Anyways, Yes, he’s dead. Yes, he was killed on the day they said he was killed. Yes, they dumped the body in the ocean. This isn’t a conspiracy, it was a huge victory for the Navy, military as a whole, and for the people of Afghanistan.

Romney apparently agreed, saying he would not waste resources on it. Obama moved the hunt back to the front burner, and it was on his watch that Bin Laden was finally located and killed. I’m sure that, if either Bush or a hypothetical President Romney had gotten the same intel Obama got, they would have made the same decision. But given what we know of their priorities, would they have gotten it?

Ron Paul just won the States of Iowa, Minnesota, Washington, Alaska, Massachusetts, Louisiana and picked up 200 new delegates. So now Pauls Delegate count as of 4/30/10 is 391 + 200 = 591.
There are still 14 more state GOP primaries to go with most of them being Ron Paul states like TX, Cali., WV, NC, KT, etc.
The REAL Delegate counts… as of 4/10/12
Romney= 601
Paul= 391
Santorum= 197
Gingrich= 77
When Santorum officially drops out of the race the delegate count will look like this…

Gingrich= 87

I was pointing out the rest of the story. That Osama was a very dangerous man and taking him out was the right thing to do.
What reports do you have that are more credible than ABC or the CIA. I agree that they are both not very reliable but if Osama was killed as just about everyone agrees he was then they seem pretty credible sources, so far.
Obama is my boss? Man, you really have to work on your sarcasm. I’ll let all my posts, from the past, to now, on that egotistical, self loving, eletist, socialist stand for themselves. If you had done some homework before you said this, you would have found that as far as Obama goes, we are VERY MUCH on the same page and that little swipe wouldn’t have been needed.

Are saying that he, Oblamer has taken down the most powerful and dangerous man in the world. I tend to think that the CIA and Pakistan were aware of where Osama was for several years, or the entire time he was holed up there in that compound.
If Osama was so Dangerous, then all of his wives wouldn’t have been sent back to Saudi Arabia to live free. It turns out that Osama and his family are treated with more respect than our troops, so I don’t have a lot of respect for Osama dead or alive.

Did you know that they have a reptriation “school” for terrorists that they have caught. Here’s a short summary of what that is about. Promise us that you won’t do it anymore and after you get done coloring in your Mohammed coloring book you can go! I kid you not! That is it’s entire corriculum. It is a very short process and at the end they have to promise not to do it again and they are released. Kinda like Obama’s policy on illegal aliens.
Of course, many of them have to repeat this school many times as they get caught often, so Saudi Arabia is no enemy to evil terrorrists, or their wives.

2. The person we killed that day was UBL. It’s not a conspiracy. Someone I knew has a sample of his brain matter/blood in a bag. One of the benefits of working in the intelligence field for special operations.
