Romney Delivers Victory Speech: Unlike Obama ‘I Will Never Apologize for the Greatest Nation in the History of the Earth’

Mitt Romney, the clear victor in Tuesday night’s New Hampshire Primary, delivered a powerful victory speech to supporters, saying that America is “better than the misguided policies and broken promises of the last three years – and the failed leadership of one man.” Romney also stated that, unlike President Obama, he will “never apologize for the greatest nation in the history of the Earth.”

“Tonight we made history,” Romney began. “Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we go back to work.”

To the cheering crowd, the former Massachusetts governor reflected on several of Obama’s past “failed” promises, including “bringing people together” and delivering change to the “broken system in Washington.”

“He promised to improve our nation,” Romney said. “Those were the days of lofty promises made by a hopeful candidate. Today, we are faced with the disappointing record of a failed President.”

He added pointedly, “the last three years have held a lot of change, but they haven’t offered much hope.”

Fox News provides the video of Romney’s victory speech:

Below are some of Romney’s more piquant criticisms of Obama, juxtaposed with what he would do differently if elected president:

This President puts his faith in government. We put our faith in the American people.

He is making the federal government bigger, burdensome, and bloated. I will make it simpler, smaller, and smarter.

He raised the national debt. I will cut, cap, and balance the budget.

He enacted job-killing regulations; I’ll eliminate them.

He lost our AAA credit rating; I’ll restore it.

He passed Obamacare; I’ll repeal it.

When it comes to the economy, my highest priority as President will be worrying about your job, not saving my own.

Internationally, President Obama has adopted an appeasement strategy. He believes America’s role as leader in the world is a thing of the past. I believe a strong America must – and will – lead the future.

He doesn’t see the need for overwhelming American military superiority. I will insist on a military so powerful no one would think of challenging it.

He chastises friends like Israel; I’ll stand with our friends.

He apologizes for America; I will never apologize for the greatest nation in the history of the Earth.

Our plans protect freedom and opportunity, and our blueprint is the Constitution of the United States.

    7. Strict tithing requirements. Yearly face to face confrontation with a high church authority to declare to him (as the lord’s representative) how much money the member was able to give to the church. Encouraged to give everything that the lord blesses you with even ones time, talents to the building up of the LDS church. In addition to tithes, generous fast offerings are encouraged. Giving to other charities or worthy causes outside the church is heavily discouraged. The member intuitively knows that the tithing, fast offering, missionary funds and perpetual education funds must be donated to first… and only THEN should outside charities be considered. This cult characteristic, to me, falls under extreme duress to give only to the church organization. The member is even told that if the tithing is not “honest” they will literally burn up at the Lord’s 2nd coming.8. Outsiders not permitted to enter the temple. Exclusivity.9. Members believe Jesus literally walks the halls of the temples and no other buildings on earth receive this privilege. There is only Faith promoting rumors to back this up of course. Yet it is a very strong and widely held belief in the church that this is so.10. There is a blatant Us vs. Them mentality. The LDS testimony conditions members to “know” based on feelings that they are the only ones on earth with the Truth or approved plan of God. Everyone else is wrong and must be saved or baptized into the lds church

This is like the gospel of Christ according to Rev. Wright – totally unrecognizable. Tithing is voluntary. Member have tithing settlement at the end of every year where you are asked if you pay a full or partial tithe? It’s one question. No proof is required or offered – members just answer the question. It’s accountability and commitment.

It’s a falsehood to say that members are told avoid supporting other charities. I know many, many people who are heavily involved in not just volunteering and supporting other causes, but often create new non-profits to help or educate people. It’s encouraged to be actively involved in service to the community.

What kind of person has such a passion to smear another faith without any proof?

Mitt Romney made an oath in the Temple to avenge the US government’s treatment of Joseph Smith. The plan hatched by the LDS Church is to get people elected to public office, ruin the economy, and destroy people’s faith in the Constitution. After this happens and the country is on the brink of failure, Jesus will return (to Missouri???) to take over and rule the world. The LDS puts in just enough real Christianity to sound OK to the gullible. They also believe that when they “return” to Heaven they will have multiple wives and they will have millions of “spirit children” who will wait for their chance to populate a planet. Romney will be the “god ” of his planet and the “spirit children” will worship him. The mormons believe that they were “God the Father’s” spirit children and when they die they will not go to Heaven, they will “return” to Heaven. They believe that anything the leader says in the Temple is absolute truth and is immediately written into their Scripture. That’s where the protective underwear and the ban on caffeine came from along with some other really weird beliefs. They only allowed black men to enter the Temple a few years ago. They were ordered by the government to stop poligamy so the leader went into the Temple and declared that it is now wrong. It’s the perfect religion for make-it-up-as-you-go. When they die they are expecting to see millions of gods. What a shock when they see only One God and he says,”Depart from me,

Well p8triot, you mormonites spin your story of why you all like(d) the polygamy long ago (due to war was your excuse) but Joe Smith was a polygamistic freak not much different that “Helter Skelter” himself.

      —————————————–
The Mormons, under Smith’s command, turned out to be a rough bunch. Joe was a polygamist with at least twenty- seven wives (some say over 60 wives). The whole gang left New York for Ohio, and then moved to Missouri. The Missouri governor ran them out of the state, so they settled in Nauvoo, Illinois, and built the state’s largest city. In 1844, Joe and Hyrum were thrown in jail. Then an angry mob stormed the jail and murdered them both. Naturally, this “martyrdom” insured the perpetual reverence of the great “prophet” Joseph Smith.

Yet, Mormons still had fidelity to the USA and the Constitution. They are an example, not villains! Shame on you religious bigots!

      @RepubliCorp

What does it feel like to resort to the same old tired racist rhetoric the left constantly spews?

Here‘s the truth in Ron Paul’s own words, you good little “useful idiot”.

      http://www.buzzfeed.com/ccbaxter/22-facts-that-dont-jibe-with-ron-paul-being-a-rac-41xp

“Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans only as members of groups and never as individuals. Racists believe that all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are alike; as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called “diversity” actually perpetuate racism. Their intense focus on race is inherently racist, because it views individuals only as members of racial groups.

Conservatives and libertarians should fight back and challenge the myth that collectivist liberals care more about racism. Modern liberalism, however, well-intentioned, is a byproduct of the same collectivist thinking that characterizes racism. The continued insistence on group thinking only inflames racial tensions.

The true antidote to racism is liberty. Liberty means having a limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than group claims.

Liberty means free-market capitalism, which rewards individual achievement and competence, not skin color, gender, or ethnicity.

Hey Chuck, It looks like Congressman Jason Chafetz joins others in the truther movement to some extent. Paul is on the list here, and many on the Blaze try to make Paul out to be a truther, but if you go to this link, listen to Chafeta, then scroll down and by Pauls name, click on calls for new 9/11 investigation and you get Pauls real views that he does not think it was a conspiracy or that our gov took them down, but that they covered up incompetence. The point here is, looks like Chafetz could be put in the same category as the progressives try to put Paul in. http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2010/02/yet-another-congressman-questions-911.html

Not after he has said, time and time again, that he is highly supportive of his romneycare that he shoved down the throats of the citizens of MA…who does he think he’s kidding anyway? Voting for romney is putting obammy’s agenda back in the WH; the only thing different is the skin color.

I have watched Romney, Gingrich and Perry. Their passion is for the power and prestige of being President. Ron Paul has been screaming for years about where this country is headed and what has to be done to fix it. You know, some people are starting to understand his message. Ron Paul’s passion is definitely for his country not for the position. Elect Romney; you won’t have another Obama. You’ll have another Bush. Are you aware that McCain, Bush, Chaney, and Rove are the reason that we now a Chesire cat in the White House, the queen of hearts in the House, the mad hatter in the Senate, and two red rabbits diiging deep holes in the fed. treasury and reserve. Yeah, just elect Romney and you will get Hillary in 2016 if we still have a country!

Interesting link. Seems there are very important “shades” to what “9-11 truther” can mean. When I hear the term, I automatically assume that it means someone who thinks that it was an “inside job” — not someone who thinks that the investigation was botched and politically skewed.

I see plenty of folks here at the Blaze condemning the immoral actions of the TSA, and yet these same people state that if “drop your pants” Romney is chosen, they will hold their nose and pull the lever.

Don’t you people get it? You would be voting to place the chains of the NWO willingly around your own neck.

This election is just the beginning of the movement back towards Conservative ideals.

      @ Atomic,

You haven’t looked into the issue of “Romneycare” beyond the surface. Take a good long hard look at the issues surrounding the legislation Romney championed for Massachusetts. It was conservative legislation (The Heritage Foundation rated it.) What has happened to Romney care is the result of MA Democrats committing legislative adultery. And as a result, it is not working. Here now is a prime example of why we have to repeal Obamacare. And we have Massachusetts to thank for clarity on the subject. Better one state mired in nonsense than an entire country. Lesson learned.

Ha, romneycare is conservative, so conservative that the only areas in the entire United States of America that such a conservative law can exist is conservative states like Ted Kennedy’s Massachusetts???? Socialized medicine is without a doubt one of the more un-American things I can think of. Any politician who is “championing” it is very far from practicing conservatism.

And his 2nd amendment views, I guess assault weapons BAN was a conservative law. Egregious gun reg fees that are yearly, per gun, another conservative law. The 2nd amendment is without a doubt a major ingredient in what separates the free people of this country from others who are oppressed. Any politician who is “championing” laws that infringe on our rights to bear arms is NOT a conservative.

Lets not forget the judges he selected… All those liberal judges he put on the bench… yeah, they were also concrete signs of Romney’s ironclad conservatism.

We have been fooled, but there is still time to learn and understand.

Please anybody who doesnt know what im talking about, do research on the topics above.
    YOU WILL BE SHOCKED.
Then you will understand why Ron Paul is gaining support at a scary rate.
In 08, Ron had 9 percent in Iowa, This year 21 percent.
In 08 Ron had 7 percent in NH, This year 20 something percent.(primary isnt over yet)
That is growth at a scary fast rate, you wont hear that from the media.

Ron Paul also believes that by sucking up to the radical Islam countries and shunning Israel that they will suddenly “love us”! The man would put our citizens in grave danger with his foreign policy that is that of a crazy man! He has no idea about the radical Muslims and why they hate us. And that there is nothing we can do to “befriend” them, least of which is let them arm nuclear weapons (Iran). I get so sick and tired of trying to clue in these Paulbots. MUSLIMS HATE US BECAUSE OF OUR WAY OF LIFE. BECAUSE WE HAVE CHRISTIANS. BECAUSE WE HAVE MOVIES WITH SEX AND NUDITY. BECAUSE WE ALLOW WOMEN EQUAL RIGHTS. AND HOMOSEXUALS. Stupid Ron Paul thinks “Oh if we just pull our troops out of the region, they will be our friends”. A senile old man out of touch with reality. As are his cultist followers

      @JJ COOLAY

Do you believe that there are times where taking liberty away is right?

I believe that the only time its right is when someone is harming others or taking their liberties.

Iam sure you dont mind the government telling people what they can and cant due on personel issues, such as drugs and that, but if they are not harming anyone else then whats the problem?
I understand that drugs are not good for people, id rather see no one doing them, but to say you can not due drugs, that diminishes that persons liberty.

Something as little as a motorcycle helmet, if I dont want to wear one iam taking a risk and I must take responsibility for myself.
Its not the governments job to take care of us, we should have the choice to do what we want as long as we dont harm others, even conservatives want government to force people to do stuff that is right and not wrong its called philanthropic tyranny.
Conservatives will usally say, drugs are morally bad, god does not approve the use of them.
It does not justify forcing people to not use them and remember this, God gave us all free will to do what we want, God does not want to force himself on us he wants us to come to him.

We should allow people to have free will just like God wants, and then we can talk to people about god and help them get away from drugs, not force laws on people.

I do understand what True Liberty is, it is Free Will (as long as you dont harm others)

Someone should burn his speeches to video. Guarantee if he gets the nomination, he will be whisked away by the Builderbergs and his tune will change, just like Obama’s did. You tools fail to realize who is really running the show. The Federal Reserve is the puppet master of the Presidency, doesn’t matter who you elect as long as the Federal Reserve is in control the cycle will just keep repeating. Only one man would dismantle the Federal Reserve Machine and put this country back on track and that is Ron Paul. Economic Collapse is inevitable unless we eliminate the Fed. So go ahead and vote Romney or Obama doesn’t matter the outcome will be the same. Economic collapse and martial law. Michelle Bachman said one thing right in her campaign. This IS the LAST exit. We don’t turn now then we will deserve what happens to this country.

I am a libertarian… if you take a us to far to the right maybe we could have fa worse problems.. maybe the in the middle moderate will at least get us started toward some conservative.. what would we have in this country if we did it from one extreme to the other over night… warfare in our streets thats what.. and it may just come anyways.. when the dust settles and Obama is gone we are going to find the biggest mess ever.. and its going to take a cool headed individual to get us through.. and I believe hat is Mitt! It was a good speech but what has he done that supports everything he “promised” in this speech? This is the problem they tell us what we want to hear but their actions should speak louder than their words!

I also have another problem with all of this in that we had democrats and independents voting in a REPUBLICAN primary! How is that a representation of the republican party? These primaries should be held in GOP dominant states. Im tired of hearing about Iowa and the northeast calling the shots and setting the tone for the rest of America.

Folks hold your ground this is just starting, do not allow the MSM and the GOP establishment to influence who to vote for. Vote for the individual who best matches your views. Just understand when these primaries are over whomever gets the nomination MUST have total support. We cannot afford anything or anyone to allow Pharaoh Obama have a second term.

His speech fell flat. It was a snooze fest and I thought it was a defining moment where the gap was going to begin widening. Ron Paul is not presidential. He doesn’t have what it takes to lead a country.

“he criticizes our friends like Israel” Romney says

I will always stand with our friends ( Does that mean Israel??? He did not say Israel, maybe he doesn’t think they are our friend ) Obama speaks the same way

    and he apologizes for America

and I will never apologize for the greatest nation in the history of the earth.

Romney doesn’t say that we are the greatest nation in the history of the world. It is implied. That is the way Obama speaks……

    Hope and Change….

    C A U T I O N Folks. you need to listen to what he is “R E A D I N G”

Embrace Mitt or find yourself embracing socialism..Its up to us all.. Do you want what Mitt offers.. or what Obama offers.. and there is a difference, a huge difference.. Mitt has run multiple businesses, saved the Utah Olympics.. he knows business, unlike Obama, who probably never held a job.. for he has proved to us he can’t run the country.. he does know how to party, and how to shoot hoops, and he plays a good round of golf.. but what has he done besides that.. got on the phone and said, Yeah, shoot Bin Laden!! Whoppee doodah.. what the hell did that prove?? Our 3000 plus who died.. have a Mosque just across the way where they died.. Obama is in bed with Islam.. so what did it serve our fallen that Bin Laden died.. NOTHING! Stop whining, stop berating.. and instead come together and embrace the best of what is offered us!

Of all the candidates Romney is the best! The rest are about coorruption, about global warming, about Obamacare, or lobbying! I will take my chances with Mitt! We must get Obama out of office.. or never see our America again!

2 States down. And we have never had a Republican nominee without having one one of these two states. And yet another wake up call. There are many in the TEA party who see victory in Romney. Please don’t get embittered and throw away your vote.

      @MRMAGOO

No, it’s over. The Tea Party is irrelevant. Most of them are happy to vote for the guy with the weakest economic plan out of everyone running, including Jon Huntsman. The choices that we have to choose from are terrible. Out of what we have I would have to say Santorum would be the best bet, but at this point he doesn’t have a chance. With three different candidates in South Carolina splitting the Conservative vote, Romney will win.

This Campagn is not about ideas, if it was about ideas Mitt Romney would be at the bottom of the back.
