Romney Launches 2012 Exploratory Committee by Blasting Obama’s Jobs Record

Curious timing: with the fifth year anniversary of Romneycare upon us tomorrow, Mitt Romney has today announced his presidential exploratory committee for 2012 via the video below and a tweet:

Romney Launches 2012 Exploratory Committee by Blasting Obamas Jobs Record

The video, which was filmed from the University of New Hampshire, focuses on jobs, Obama’s inability to create them, and Romney’s experience working in the private sector.

Quoting Romney: “President Obama’s policies have failed. He and virtually all the people around him have never worked in the real economy. They just don’t know how jobs are created in the private sector. That’s where I spent my entire career.”

      I see we have a new troll……
      I can smell its farts……
Do trolls EVER have something to say, or do they exist solely to contradict what another puts forth in a post? It would be nice…..if they had a coherent thought which they then were able to articulate for others to accept, disagree with or ignore.

If anyone has any recipes for troll,I am writing a cookbook based on troll. De-sliming is even worse than for okra. The flavor is somewhat sour, and a bit bitter. Always looking for a new way to cook a troll!

You can try to hang it up to air dry for a while. sometimes the sun will bake the crap out of it. No need to worry about bear or coyote’s getting to it. Trolls are naturally rancid and animals won’t steal the carcass. When you can get past the smell, which is around the time the neighbors start to complain right before November 2011, you can soak it in brine for an additional month or two. Then pack in a barrel full of salt to re-dry and keep up to November 6th, 2012. By that time is should be ready for the trash heap.

Ain‘t no friggin’ way I would ever vote for Romney! He’s a big-government Socialist who will take us even farther down the path of complete government control over every aspect of our lives. We would be better off just leaving Obama where he is. If Romney gets elected, the Progressives (a.k.a. Communists) will get everything they want, then they’ll rub our noses in it, claiming that a Republican president did it.

And — what kind of goofy name is “Mitt” anyway?!? Does he have a brother named “Glove”?

Mr. Romney, if you want to run for president, you should at least be honest and run as a Liberal Democrat. By the way, my ‘76 Gremlin needs a few parts. Got anything laying around?

I know a lot of people really like this guy but please, he’s just another big government Straussian republican and you will be let down. He won’t stick to the constitution and closer than anyone else in either party. This is not your next Reagan. The only possibilities even worth considering won’t make it through the primaries just like last time…….unless the majority of the populace suddenly starts reading the constitution for what it does say, not what it can say. Hint: the commerce clause and general welfare clause CARRY NO FORCE OF LAW! 18 enumerated powers folks. That’s it. They say what they mean and mean what they say period.

Since many Americans believe that the presidency is open to foreign born citizens I have a suggestion for Republicans. Why not see if you can talk Marine le Pen into running for president. She’s the leader of the extreme right-wing party of France. She’ a real go-getter and a burqa’s worse nightmare. She runs on a platform of national preference, law and order, and anti-immigration. She’s just right ( and right ) for America. Something to consider.

Why do I think Mitt Romney would be the best candidate for President to run against Obama in 2012? First I think he would absolutely clean Obama’s clock in all the debates they would have. Gov. Romney is a Washington outsider and that is why he got skewered by the lamestream media when he ran for president. Mitt Romney is actually very conservative no less than Ronald Reagan, he graduated from BYU one of if not the most conservative Universities in the United States, and is one of the most if not the most competent leaders in the United States.

For the mess that Obama has made out of our country Mitt Romney would be by far the best person on Earth that I know of who could do the most to fix the problems of our country if that is even possible Mitt would do it as that is what he does and always has been about is fixing problems.

Some of the things Mitt has proven beyond amazing to accomplish, like taking command of the Salt Lake Winter Olympics that were headed for disaster for a one (1) dollar salary and turning them around to becoming the most successful Winter Olympics in history. Romney literally saved those 2002 Olympics from economic doom and under his tremendous leadership turned it from deep in the red into the black.

What about RomneyCare? RomneyCare, signed into law by Romney in 2006, is a state-based healthcare plan , unlike ObamaCare, RomneyCare did not raise taxes and the people overwhelmingly wanted it. If the Democratic run state would have left it the way Romney had it there would not be all the problems that have happened with it. But the bigger and more important difference is that RomneyCare was a state program and not a federal one. If states’ rights and federalism are truly important to you, you would readily recognize this distinction. And on top of all this, Romney has consistently voiced his support for the repeal of ObamaCare, this the same Romney that saved Mass. from demise caused by the Democrats? Not once but twice? The ones that fattened up said health care bill.

Romney saved dozens of companies from closing down & thereby saving thousands of jobs? As a highly successful leader in business, he made money by turning around financially struggling companies like Monsanto, Staples, Office Depot, Dominos Pizza, Burlington, Corning, among many others, saving thousands of jobs.

Later he ran a venture capital firm which provided money to numerous startup companies such as Staples Office Supplies, enabling them to expand and create thousands of more jobs. During the 14 years he headed the company, Bain Capital’s average Annual rate of return on investments was 113 percent. One time one of his employees’ daughter came up missing in New York City and was feared kidnapped. Mitt said to his partners the reason we are in business is for the welfare of our families and shut down the company and organized a search party and they headed for New York. He diligently and quickly divided up the search party and sent them out searching sector by sector with detailed instructions as to how to proceed and the daughter was found. If I recall correctly she was just being a rebellious teenager and had went off and was hanging out with some friends having a good time not realizing what panic and grief she was causing her parents.

At the age of 19 Mitt put his Stanford education on hold and went on a 2 1/2 year mission for the Mormon Church and was sent to France. He lived a life of poverty while there and had to make due on less than $100 allowance a month staying in small apartments with several other missionaries. Many of these apartments he stayed at did not have private bathrooms but one bathroom for all the residence on the floor. As a missionary the lived a very disciplined and rigorous life, waking up at 6am and after extended Scripture study and prayers left for they day, knocking on doors from 9am to 9pm everyday for the entire 2 1/2 years sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was there during the 1960s when Americans were very unpopular because of the Vietnam War with the French. Often a Frenchmen would answer the doors and say “you’re from America, get out of Vietnam” and slam the door. He really grew up from a privileged lighthearted carefree youth to a very responsible serious adult during those 2 1/2 years. He was called to be an Assistant to the Mission President the highest leadership position a missionary can go. Once when driving a car carrying the other assistant, the mission president and the mission president’s wife they were involved in an automobile accident where a drunk driver crossed into their lane and collided head on. Mitt was mistakenly pronounced dead, the mission presidents wife was killed and the mission president was injured. Mitt recovered quickly and had to take charge of the entire mission for six months while the mission president was back in the U.S. recovering from his injuries. He really took charge and fired up the entire mission and carried out all the duties of the mission president doing a remarkable job amist the entire country breaking out with violent student riots and being an American not the safest climate.

Soon after his mission he married his wife Ann and transferred to BYU where she was attending. He ended up graduating #1 in his class and went on to Harvard Business School where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and *** laude from Harvard Law School. He became a father of 5 boys during his college and early business years.

As the 70th Governor of MA, he worked to turn around the state’s economy from a 3 billion dollar deficit to a surplus, balancing their budget in less than 4 yrs. And never accepted a salary while in office.

What is wrong with America not wanting the best possible leader we have available? It’s the economy, stupid! Mitt Romney is one of the greatest leaders this country has, after what you have experienced with Obama you should easily recognize this.

Romney also showed great character when he did not press charges and remained calm when a drugged-out rapper tried to start a fight with him on an airplane ready to take off .. the same rapper now calls him his homeboy.

All Romney’s early departure showed was that he lacks the essential courage to be a viable candidate. He was in trouble, but McCain was not mathematically assured of the nomination at that point. He was the “conservative candidate” and when he quit he threw away all of his poltical capitol, He could have used it at the convention to promote conservative values. Had Sarah Palin not been nominated McCain would have gotten 30% of the vote. Supporting a GOP insider is the same old “stuck on stupid” GOP approach. Your values need to be more than, “I am not a Democrat.”

      @BETTERDAYS,

Can you show me the facts and your references to where Mitt is a member of the CFR. I have followed Mitt Romney a long time and I find that very hard to believe. I feel that Mitt Romney would be our best choice, there has never been a Republican in the last at least 85 years who has won on their first try at the Presidency without tremendous name recognition, even Ronald Regan had to run and get defeated by Gerald Ford in the Republican primary his first time out but gained the name recognition to come back and win. Mitt Romney is the only one of the candidates who has a serious chance at beating Obama and would hold to conservative constitutional principles. It also takes tremendous wealth and organization, there again Mitt Romney is the only one who has a solid organization in place as well as the finances necessary to beat Obama. You really need to at least give Mitt Romney a fair chance and really spend some time getting to know all you can about him as well as the other candidates. I can promise you as a conservative there are few on the Blaze more conservative than me and I really like what I see in Mitt Romney. Newt Gingrich CFR, progressive internationalist, Chris Christie not running but very liberal, Donald Trump I really like him bringing up the birth certificate and China, he is a liberal and most likely is not very serious about running….Sarah Palin too big of negatives and her popularity is fading fast….Michele Bachmann a great Congresswoman but more liberal and has high negatives and has had her hand in the Pork Barrel a few times….Alan West I love the guy but not enough name recognition or organization and a very uphill battle for finances….Herman Cain nowhere near enough name recognition and that is unfortunate as I really like him but the best way to get him or Alan West would be for them to be the VP for Mitt Romney. Sorry but that is the way I see it and I have never been wrong and that made for a real nightmare when I first saw Barack Obama I said that monster is going to be our next president so help us God.

      Health Care Federalism
Some conservative commentators scoff at Mitt’s argument that his Massachusetts reforms are entirely consistent with a federalism-based approach to health care and that one can entirely consistently support the essence of MassCare while opposing Obamacare.

Yet consider this: Federalism has at least two great benefits. First, as many have noted, a federalist approach allows for states to be the “laboratories of democracy,” where ideas are tried, tested, and reformed before they are nationalized (if they ever are nationalized). But equally importantly, federalism is fundamentally more democratic than nationalization because it gives the citizens of any given state greater control over their own government and own lives. In other words, the citizens of different states may want different health care programs and may choose to spend their tax dollars differently.

I‘m reminded of this second benefit by a new poll showing that fully 84 percent of Massachusetts residents are satisfied with the state’s health plan.

Wait a minute! I thought MassCare was a failure. An albatross. The kiss of death. But how can a “failure” achieve such high marks in Massachusetts? Perhaps because the plan — passed with overwhelming bipartisan agreement — represents the kind of health care that its citizens want. Obviously Texas or Alabama or Ohio residents don’t want MassCare, but Massachusetts citizens like it. That’s federalism at work.

Obamacare is a one-size-fits-all monstrosity. MassCare is targeted for the needs of a particular state whose citizens have different desires and goals than citizens in other states. This isn’t political spin; it’s political reality.

In the last race his feet were warmed about his affliation with the Mormon church.(No critisism here just fact). He backed down about defending his belief,so my suspicion is if he cannot or will not stand to defend his religion, then how is he going to stand to defend this country?

You forget a few minor details here. Whether a federal or a state program, an individual mandate or having to purchase health care is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!! If, and only if, all Mass residents voluntarily want this program should they have been subject to it, whether it is an exercise in federalism or not. I am not sure, but I don’t think the people of MA even voted on the issue.

Lose the RINOs….GOP….or you will have a real problem attracting the tea party voters. I will not dishonor my vote again by settling for a RINO, whether I have to go to the polls and write someone in or not.

I don’t perceive Romney to be perfect…………BUT a tremendously better choice than what we have now as well as McCain in the last election. At first I was disappointed that Romney supported McCain after the way McCain and Huckabee treated him, but given the choice of Obama and McCain, I now do appreciate Romney’s efforts to protect our country as much as possible from Obama!

Man oh man.. I don’t understand why so many conservatives have it in for Romney.
First of all… so what if he lost in 08? That makes him a loser?
How many times have candidates lost and come back and won? Didn’t Reagan do just that in the mid 70s?

Secondly—the people of Massachusetts wanted the universal health care that they got while Romney was governor. And Romney’s idea was it should be a state-by-state choice—NOT FEDERAL. Big Difference between Obama and Romney on this. Let’s keep that straight folks.

Finally—-Romney is the kind of man that has a proven track record of turning economical disasters into the black… ie Massachusetts state budget and the Salt Lake Games. He’s the kind of fiscal savvy man we need to turn the ship in the right direction.

And why all of a sudden is everyone jumping on the Allen West bandwagon? Because Glenn said so this morning? Come on people.. think for yourself.

Plus, we need to have a leader that is battle tested and hardened because the next president will have his hands full. I believe that we have too many enemies within and without to leave our safety to a politician, I prefer someone that knows how to protect Americans and knows why it must be done. If Mass, Vermont, or any other state wants UHC. Then let them create a plan and vote for it. I’m against the Federal Government forcing me to do anything. But I am for state rights. Romney only did what the people of Mass wanted. Isn’t that the job of a governor?

      1. Just to be a low level, entry consultant into Bain Consulting, you have to be a super genius. He was the CEO. So real executive experience.
      2. He has real governance experience.
      3. He vetted by the main stream media.

Don’t care about his job creating experience. Obama didn‘t win by claiming experience and Romney won’t either. If the Right looks at this as just another presidential election… THEY WILL LOSE.

Same old face, same old story and same old loser. If he gets the Republican nomination it’s time for a new party.

If this clown is the Republican candidate, or any of the other Rinos, they can count me out. The Republican Party would be wise to listen to the Tea Party People. We’ve had all of the crap that we are going to tolerate.

I’m no Romney lover, but anything would be better then Obama and these progressives or progressive lites.

No, anything would not be better. This is the how the lesser of two evils is packaged. “Anything would be better than…” The lesser of two evils is still evil. You’re saying, in so many words, you’d be glad to vote for a lesser evil. How would that change the direction of this country?

Soros knows that he can steal the 2012 election like he did the 2008 election by limiting the choice of candidates to his two picks–Progressive Heavy D(em) or Progressive Lite (R).

The GOP doesn’t have a real candidate to run, not one that puts We the People first. And since I have to answer to God, and no one else, I refuse to vote even the lesser of two evils. I will not vote for evil ever again, I will not vote against my country or my child’s best interests, nor will I ever again be snookered by Soros’s little election frauds. If I have to, I’ll write the name of the candidate I feel most qualified to run this county in on my ballot. I’m not going to face God, especially now that I KNOW BETTER, and try to explain why I voted for evil in any form. Just ain’t gonna happen.

Same old face, same old story and same old loser. If he gets the Republican nomination it’s time for a new party.

Why do you think the lamestream media isn’t pitching a fit about Romney as a candidate? Because he’s already been chosen, not by us, not by everyday Republicans who aren’t aware their party is now just as “owned” as the Dems, but by the real powers that be. If, by some freak act of Nature, Romney ended up in the White House, who do you think he’d answer to? We the People? Not on your life. He’d answer to the powers that chose him as the nominee, the powers that put him in the Oval office. And We the People would be the losers once again.

It’s time now for a new party, not after Romney is nominated. Like McCain. By design.

If Boehner, and the way he wilted like a cut flower, isn’t living proof that the Republican party is now only the opposite side of a really bad-for-America coin, just wait. Sooner or later, by the actions of those so-called Republicans in Congress, every true patriot is going to realize that all we have in this country is a single Socialist Party of Rs and Ds whose main concern is not Freedom, not America, not We the People, but only the best deal they can barter for themselves. But, will this real awakening be too late to save our nation?

I hope not. I pray not. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that we need a new party, if only to return us to a true two-party system. And the sooner we real patriots who love America and Freedom and want a future for our children get cracking on this new party, the better chance we have in 2012.

Of course, the Republicans want to string the conservatives along as long as they can, to spoil any chance a new party candidate might have. But they keep forgetting God in their mix of possible scenarios, so for me, I still have some hope.

We need a new party, like yesterday.

Mitt Romney is by far the most obvious choice to defeat Obama it shouldn’t even be close to anyone who is not a religious bigot or believes everything negative they hear about someone without checking deeply into the facts themselves considering carefully the sources. He will get the maximum campaign donation I can give and my full support as he should anyone who wants Obama defeated.

Mitt will do fine since mccain and huckabilly cannot conspire against him as they did in SC during the last primary. As a state, Mass had the right to inact romney care. Such a mistake at the Federal level is unconstitutational. In the book “The Next to Last American President” he does defeat Obama in 2012. The economic disaster Mitt inherits is not of his doing. Mit is the last american president. US then breaks apart into sectional governments such as the SEC. I share little in common with chicago thugs ,dirty harry reid and the princesses from San Fran. San Fran motto “what happens here, stays here.” That is great news! Thank God in the future they will not belong to my new country.

The ONLY way I could respect myself for voting for MItt for brains Romney, is if Ron Paul was his running mate. Then at least Ole Mitt would have someone with Integrity, To put his foot in his A$$, when he started RINOing up.

Mitt Romney is not a RINO, he is very conservative and worked hard to get many tea party candidates elected in Nov. You are really showing how easily swayed you are by the mainstream media who if they were one tenth as hard on Obama as they were on Mitt Romney he would have received 20% of the vote in the Democratic primaries. It is the media that demonized Romney and you bought into it at face value hook line and sinker.

      @BONNIEBLUE2A,

You said “Romney is a proven loser(2008),”

Sure glad the conservatives didn’t dismiss Regan like that after his first run for the Presidency. Mitt Romney is our very best hope and I would strongly encourage everyone who wants Obama out to stop the dividing and get behind him as he is the one who has the organization in place, has the most broad appeal (tea party is no more than 25% of electorate). Has the resources and the name recognition and can debate with the best of them and is very Presidential.

Are you all for real??? Our country is at stake and we cannot afford to be so divided. You must look past the fact that Mitt is a Mormon and look at the real person. He is a rock solid conservative. Was he always conservative? Probably not, but neither was President Reagan. I am actually quite shocked as this is my first page visit to your site and I always thought Glenn Beck encouraged you to do your own research. I give everyone who calls Mitt a RINO a big F. You need to go to several different sources always using critical thinking when you research and the Library is still a very good source even in this age of information. I would like to see a Romney/Paul ticket myself as I love Ron Paul but his best hope to ever be President is to be a VP first.
