Romney to Hannity: I ‘Misspoke’ About Not Being Concerned About the Very Poor, I‘m ’Worried About All Americans’

Mitt Romney got his chance to clarify comments he made during an interview with CNN‘s Soledad O’Brien in which he said he was “not concerned about the very poor.” In an interview Thursday with Fox News host Sean Hannity, the former Massachusetts governor expressed regret for his comments, saying, “I misspoke.”

“I wish I wouldn’t have said it that way. I made the same thought part of my speeches over the last year or two, which is that I’m really concerned about middle-income Americans. I want to help middle-income Americans. I want to get people out of poverty, into the middle-income category.”

Romney clarified that he is “concerned and worried about all Americans.” Romney added. “And I want to make sure our safety net is appropriately able to care for our poor. I’m concerned about all citizens, but now and then you misspeak. You have to acknowledge it — it was something I did not intend to say in the way it was said but I recognize that’s part of the political process.”

I care about Americans too. I am concerned about the potential for millions of us to die, as a result of all the decades of treason by our elected officials coming to a head now. We are faced with the destruction of Christianity, that this nation was built upon. We are also faced with creeping Islam, Communism, secularism, total erosion of moral values, the total devaluation of human life, and mountains of crushing debt…….I’m not sure how this all ends, whether it be an economic collapse, civil war, totalitarianism, or nuclear war, but I do know that whatever happens, it won’t end well, and the country we have all known is about to be gone…….and along with it, millions of people, I fear……

Nothing worse than listening to Newt cry on Hannity through the entire commercial about how mean Mitt was to him. What a buffoon, seriously. I mean, even though 2 commercial breaks he was still crying about it. Then he says his “attorneys” are trying to steal the delegates in Florida, not him. What a pathetic piece of crap he is, knowing darn well he is the one behind the entire thing. He’s try the old, I am just a historian, these are legal matters, I have nothing to do it. Pretending like he doesn’t understand it. Oh yeah, Mr. Legislator of the universe doesn’t understand law. Mr. Law maker and Chief, doesn’t really understand. What a real rat and creep , he truly is.I am sure he is the same slimy rat who thought Trump was going to endorse him. @ Kool AIde for Romney – Wow, that’s original !! I most certainly do support Romney, I have since last election and I have researched this mans record and paid attention to him for the past 7 years. Just as I have vetted Newt long before this election cycle, even before he announced running for president. Newt brought his social engineering to medical BS to my mother work place, running the company into 23 million of debt and my mother losing her job. I was first on the defensive about Newt as my mother explained what happened, I was sure there was an explanation because I believed Newt to be a an honest and intelligent conservative. It didn’t take long before I began to seriously dislike this progressive pig. It was clear when I was doing my research on him 2 years ago, that he was going to run for president. His record and past statements reflected this man has been having wet dreams about being president over 20 years ago. What was most interesting, is while I was researching this pig, the healthcare plan was being passed in Massachusetts. Newt was all about this program, supporting it in every aspect, writing an article, which has now been scrubbed from the internet, saying he supported Romney-care 100% and talking about how this is what the United States needed. Funny, there wasn’t such an extreme dislike for the program as you would think, actually, quite the contrary. Many republicans where on board. Anyways, Newt’s a liar and pig.LOOK- http://www.newtexposed.com/

one thing to remember about Newt. He will scare the heck out of our enemies!!!! We wont see him bowing to saudi kings, he wont apologize for America. during the last debate when he was speaking of fighting the establishment he was scratching under his eye some of you may poke fun but this was a direct signal to the illuminist. we have had only two Presidents in the last 100+ years that werent freemasons. J.F.K. and Nixon one was killed days after announcing that he was going after the hidden powers and the other was disgraced. One was a Catholic (they cannot be freemasons) the other a Quaker. Newt recently changed his religious denomination to Catholic i dont think this is coincidental. look back at the last show Glenn did on fox at one point (after his announcement he was leaving) he pointed to the chalkboard using his two outside fingers which is the illuminati sign for the NWO later he put his hands in the shape of a pyramid. again i dont think this is coincidental and i think he was telling us something. Yes at one time Newt was in the cfr but i think he is going against them now. i do know one thing another freemason or illuminist in the whitehouse and their plan is complete. If your not stupid look at your dollar bill “annuit coeptis” (our plan is in place) “novus ordo seclorum” NEW WORLD ORDER. put an upside down pyramid on top of the other the points spell mason. Your Santorum :
“However, he indicated in that questionnaire that he wanted “national standards” from the federal government and he didn’t support eliminating the Department of Education. This bears itself out in his record. As mentioned, Santorum supported No Child Left Behind in 2001, which greatly expanded Washington’s control over education.
Santorum now appears to have reversed course. In that same 2011 interview, Santorum said, “Well, the Department of Education is, in my opinion, unnecessary and overseeing a state bureaucracy which is already a big problem.”
While Santorum’s school choice goals move in the right direction, he undermines that with support for too much federal government control.”

Romney does not comprehend the poor because they are not part of his agenda, but maybe it’s worse than that. Maybe he doesn’t really get where all those tax dollars come from & who he really needs to answer to. Sorry, folks, but I won’t be voting for the SOB. They all think they are so far above the populace that they talk down to anyone not attending the same parties & banquets as themselves. I would like to see how Romney fares on Top Ramen for one month & I would like to see him not have any source of heat during the same time frame. I would like to see him try to work at a fast food place for two hours a day three days a week to get a real flair for the American public. He doesn’t give a damn because he thinks we are all vermin & therefore expendable. Which I find completely ironic since we are the same people who serve him at the restaurants where he eats & the hotels where he sleeps. We are the servicers, although I am sure they view us more as servants or serfs. His attitude is what is wrong, it does not serve us, nor will it serve him in the long run. I find it amusing he thinks he is such a religious man… God is watching & God has already judged & God has found them lacking. Trying to explain it away just makes it worse because the judgment is based on the way of things & not the sway of things. Talk all you want Romney because talk is cheap & someone else is paying the bill anyway. Schmuck.

Well, let me see… I guess he doesn’t want to alienate two-thirds of the voting base in this country, does he? Give me a conservative adult who is a religious & moral man over a non-conservative idiot who is a Mormon & not a religious man. Now say that four times really fast… My son has embraced the Mormon religion & he wonders why no woman finds him attractive. I figure he needs to learn this one on his own. His father & I are agnostic but agreed in our fundamental beliefs. We don’t believe in hypocrites & we don’t trust liars. We don‘t listen to people who don’t practice what they preach. We know there is always something greater than ourselves & we don’t know everything. I think that about sums it up. Maybe my son will marry a Mormon woman someday… But then again, maybe the world will end first.

Everyone is a hypocrite in some point in their life, it’s pretty hard not to be hypocritical. All you can do is recognize your hypocrisy and learn from it and try not to repeat it.

Absolutely right. Kind of like that, “In five more days we are going to fundamentally transform America….”

Mitt has no idea what anything below upper middle class is. I say this because he went from several Ivy League Schools (not holding that against him, everyone should take that opportunity, and everyone is eligible for that opportunity), and went to work as a portfolio manager in Bain whatever, so he has absolutely no idea how to run a country let alone care about poor anything. I bet he’s never even wiped the seat of a toilet. He’s most likely a good person, but what happens when Bachmann’s speech instructor leaves?

In short, Mitt is Obama, and the only difference is Mitt has a big (RINO) behind his name, and Soros doesn’t care who is his puppet, besides, where do you think the NWO started?

Levin has it right; Romney is a corporatist not a capitalist. Even in capitalism, there is a place for the poorest to rise; which doesn’t interest Mitt in the least. Yep, he’s out for a trophy. I don’t like him. He seems very false to me.

The American People need to really “LISTEN” to everything Levin says.
He takes no sides, pulls no punches, deals with the facts, plain & simple.
He invites the candidates on his show & says, they are afraid to show up.

Gingrich NEEDS to go on, Levin has defended him,
more so, than any other talk radio host.
      On America’s behalf,
I believe, the conversation between the two of them, would be
      incredibly formidable encouraging & enlightening.

      Note to Gingrich’s camp:
Drop ALL the other mamby-pamby interviews
with the boring, repetitive, Piranha Press
and let him do Levin’s show…..AMERICA will be listening !

Levin & Gingrich have the same genuine love for America
and the same disdain, for politics-as-usual-
their conversation would surely, be refreshing, spirited and game changing.

      In the meantime,
      Mr. MisSpeak Willard “Mitt-the-Twit” Romney
confirms, he is mere kindling wood,
not Presidential Timber, as the Great Gingrich.

Perhaps a little on the harsh side, but a valid point. Those that benefit from the redistribution of wealth are most likely not going to vote out the very liberals who created and support it in the first place. I think the real problem is that the liberals have chipped away at the self esteem of society. People now think they have no chance and just give up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzy7c0JUWEA

Too bad Scott Patrick Wilson didn’t have a safety net when a rich creep killed him driving in his Bentley with a blood alcohol twice the legal limit. We all read the story of the guy in New Mexico who spent two years in solitary confinement for a DUI. Any bets this rich creep gets off with a light sentence. Google an image of this smug rich creep.

Florida billionaire John Goodman has adopted his 42-year-old girlfriend, Heather Laruso Hutchins, in what rival lawyers say may be an attempt to shield his assets in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Goodman, 48, founder of the International Polo Club Palm Beach, faces a civil trial in the death of 23-year-old Scott Patrick Wilson. Police say Goodman was drunk at the wheel of his Bentley when it ran a stop sign and slammed into Wilson’s car in 2010.

Romney gets to redefine and clarify what he said! Well, that’s more then he gave Newt Gingrich when he spread lie after lie about Newt, even though he knew the truth about what happened to Newt when he resigned from being Speaker of the House. Kinda like Obama and Biden. Every time they open their mouths, someone has to come along and redefine and clarify what they mean as well.
I’m still wondering what Romney actually does stand for. I mean, in Florida I don’t think he really told anyone what he stood for. Frankly I don’t understand what people see in this moderate/progressive/rhino so-called Republican. He certainly doesn’t act or sound like a true Conservative to me. He doesn’t hold a candle to Newt Gingrich who has a very defined plan for where he wants to take the Country. Newt will GET RID OF OBAMACARE…he’ll cut taxes…he’ll GET RID OF THE CZARS…he’ll cut regulations…and above all WE CAN TRUST NEWT to govern as a TRUE CONSERVATIVE, a REAGAN CONSERVATIVE, who will decrease the hold that government has on the people, and give more power back to the people and the states. Newt Gingrich is very clear about what he’ll do to protect the Constitution and our laws. On the other hand, Romney will tell the people what they want to hear…kinda like Obama does.

His comment about “fixing the holes in the safety net” prove it far more than anything he may have said while being Governor of Massachusetts. If you think Romney’s a conservative, then you either have no understanding of what conservatism is, or you are deluding yourself.
