Romney Slams Obama As ‘Triple D’ President: ‘Debt, Downgrade, Delay’

During a recent campaign stop in New Hampshire, presidential hopeful Mitt Romney had some strong words regarding President Obama’s economic performance. And he coined a new term to let people know.

“What I’ve seen and said from this president is not a triple ‘a’ presidency but I’ll call it a triple ‘d’ presidency. It’s been a presidency which has been associated with debt and with downgrade and with delay,” Romney said. “You’ve got 25 million people out of work right now Mr. President, out of work or in part time jobs needing full time work or the stopped looking for work. You shouldn’t be on the vineyard playing golf. You should be doing your job putting Americans back to work.”

“Debt, downgrade, delay hardly characterize the American spirit,” he added, “hardly characterize what it is that made us the great nation that we are.”

Ha..Ha…Obama has everyone fooled. He is a trans-formative figure and I know this because the MSM told us. People are interpreting the 3 “D”s as an indication of his incompetence. No..again he is trans-formative and this is part of his distraction strategy.

Mitt was absolutely right on applying the Triple D label on our vacation-addicted president, but this is stuff we’ve been hearing for months now. Besides, I really don‘t think Mitt’s presidential campaign will last that long, given the fact that he’s a supporter of the global warming hoax and that he did pass a law that mandates people into buying health care insurance (RomneyCare).

HE ISN’T A SUPPORTER OR BELIEVER OF MAN-MADE GLOBAL WARMING…

Romney said it for himself: I don’t know… I wouldn‘t waste billions on something I don’t know if its true.

Question for everyone that reads this, are you 100% global warming, as in a change in the climate isn’t happening??? Probably not. Are you 100% certain man has no connection whatsoever on the environment around you.

Ask these questions of what you believe: Romney never said he believed in ‘man-made global warming.’ As a politician he gave a soft answer but he was completely consistent with what he has been saying for years. He believes the earth is warming… and that man contributes to it, how much he does not know.

      Questions for viewers:
      1) Is the temperatures around the earth rising at this time. As far as we know YES. – He agreed with this.

      2) Has it gotten colder and hotter in the history before, is it cyclical? YES – He agrees, he said it has been hotter.

      3) Does man’s actions effect the environment? I am not asking how much, does it? YES – He agreed with this.

      4) Is man the cause of Global Warming? NO – Romney did not say that it did he said it contributed and that he does not know how much.
When I say he has been consistent – he was asked this in 2007 during his last race and 2008. During one townhall he was actually asked by a man wearing a Santa Claus suit and said the same thing: Here is a clip of him talking about this same subject back in 2007: http://tiny.cc/2g

@ FASTFACTS: AMEN! Could not have said it better myself. So many people are the right are for some reason so eager to build up a case against Romney. I have no idea why. Personally, I think that these kind of cheap lies and attacks against Romney is what gave us Obama in the first place. If Romney had received the nomination in 2008, I have no doubt he would have won. How much better would we all be now if that had happened? I feel that of those that are likely to get the nomination for 2012, Romney has the best chance of beating Obama. I fear that we are doomed to repeat our past mistake. Those on the right that are against Romney are cutting of their nose despite their face.

By the way, the lovable Chris Christy said he would not let any more coal plants in NJ…that is much more radical than anything MITT has said….and willmdrive energy costs up like Cap & Trade.

WHEN IT COMES TO ECONOMY, ROMNEY IS ONE OF TWO OF THE BEST CANDIDATES…

He isn’t a career politician, we was there for four years and then returned to private sector where he worked for 25 years. He has created tens of thousands of jobs and fixed dozens of companies. Herman Cain is also great on the private sector. Rick Perry was in a state of low taxes and low regulations so he walked into that one but he should be creditted for talking companies to leave other state for his state. I can’t wait for the Reagan Library debate.

Here is Romney’s last ad attacking Obama, where is everyone elses. This one attacks unions and Obama, one of the only candidates going after the debacle that is unions: http://www.americanparchment.com/video/2011/aug/romney_obama_unions.html

Actually, read the Club for Growth report on Romney and his economics, they though he was pretty good, all except for RomneyCare. But as for that read the Heritage Foundation and their dozens of reports about Romney and the health care system he created and the dems destroyed. Remember they had the Congress by 85% while he was governor. They increased spending while he fought for cuts (Club for Growth), he brought the most market based Health Care system to the state than ever before, until the Dems destroyed it (Heritage Foundation). Read up on the truth. You’re right, don’t listen to the main stream media.

The second pick is to be determined, I am leaving that open because I am still reading up on Rick Perry, this is just on economy. The truth is he walked into a state with low-taxes and low regulations on business. The oil boom gave him a huge boost in employment, I have friends that move down there to work in the oil fields.

My problem right now with him is that he has changed a lot of his stances since he started questioning running for president also. Immigration is the biggest anvil swinging over his head, he created his own Dream Act and fights border fences. His immigration plan was praised by liberals.

He also supported the HPV mandate, when it was about to lose he had a press conf. with victims to pressure republican’s support. It is as easy to get out of as RomneyCare, you have to go to the court house and sign an affidavit, you renew it every two ye

He does have one up on the Emperor being a businessman, someone who had a real job, that alone makes him a better qualification for POTUS than the current JOTUS! What do you expect though from a man, BHO, with no real world experience? This is what happens when hate dictates an election and who gets elected. Doesnt matter where you stand with Bush it ws the outright hate for him that spilled over to the republicant nominees in 08, aka guilt by association. Do not let it happen again people we are on the brink. Do not let hate be the driving force behind decisions you make…

@Encinom under Obama, the deficit has reserved and is no longer growing,

You are wrong,How do Bush and Obama compare on closer inspection? Just about like they do on an initial glance. According to the White House’s Office of Management and Budget, during his eight fiscal years, Bush ran up a total of $3.283 trillion in deficit spending (p. 22). In his first two fiscal years, Obama will run up a total of $2.826 trillion in deficit spending ($1.294 trillion in 2010, an estimated $1.267 trillion in 2011 (p. 23), and the $265 billion in “stimulus” money that was spent in 2009). Thus, Bush ran up an average of $410 billion in deficit spending per year, while Obama is running up an average of $1.413 trillion in deficit spending per year — or $1.003 trillion a year more than Bush.

It said made it very clear that during his full four years we fought to cut spending and it was Mass.’s liberal congress that kept increasing the spending, though he vetoed most of their spending, they had 85% of the Congress. They also changed Romney’s health care plan which he line item vetoed 7 sections of the bill and they return all 7 of those sections later. As he said there are many problems with RomneyCare, but that is what the state wanted and that is their right. Even now it has 65% support in the state. He even said he would never do that again. He came up with the best health care plan of any candidate back in 2008 and that is why Conservatives were very supportive of him, it was the moderates and libertarians that wouldn’t vote for him. Remember RomneyCare was intact in 2008 and no one spoke on it.

Sorry one correction, Romney’s market-based/limited government exchange system was not active though it was deadlined to be released in 2007. The Dems. kept it for an additional 2 years to add more bureaucracy to it. Read all about this on the Heritage Foundation, then READ HIS BILL. Even if you read the current bill, it states everywhere Romney tried to line-item veto.

As for Perry, I am still reading up on him but Club for Growth was fair on him as well. Though they stated he walked into a low tax, low reg. state. Credit to him for attracting

Oh yeah, as for the Federal grants, those are provided through the medicare/medicaid agencies that are given to all states, you can‘t deny the money or the rules that they set about a state’s health care system.

Romney has gotten a lot of negative press, but I think he is a good man and I like what he says. Perry is involved with the Bildeberg/NWO. He wants the highway that goes from Mexico to way up north. He supported Al Gore when he ran for president. I would not vote for anyone involved in Bildeberg. If you don’t know who they are, please do a search on them. Give Romney a chance, I think he is our best bet. If he picked Marc Rubio as VP and Allen West as Sec. of State, I think we just might slowly regain our Republic.

Interesting, but please don’t call the Massachusetts legislature the “Congress” — either “the legislature” or the Massachusetts-specific term “General Court”.

SHANEMMCC, That is what Obama does, blame everyone else. If anything Romney has taken responsibility for creating it. ‘No Apologies’. He has already said he had to work with Democrats and much of it has been changed and that there are plenty of problems with it but… then he always takes the blame.

    CHUCK STEIN,
You are right on, it isn’t the congress, it is the legislation and that is actually very important to clarify, thanks.

Yeah but a signature on a piece of paper gives the right to refuse. Does Obamacare do that?

No your presumption is wrong. You make it sound like he is the only one that gives soft answers when they are all politicians. Remember he is one of two non-career politicians. Perry, Bachmann, and Ron Paul have all given soft answers of dodged questions. Read to the end this will answer your question.

To answer your questions, there were a few things that the government had to pick up because of changes that were made and spending did come with those, you are right on that, but Romney constantly told the people that he was working to cut spending and taxes while he was governor. He fought the liberal legislature on most of their expansions, could he have done more, probably.

He also did not raise taxes. The only time he would be considered to have ‘raise taxes’ would be when he raised ‘fees,’ which were rare, but did happen on certain state departments that were losing money. Such as the processing fee for marriage licenses, they were subsidized by the Mass. government, he raised the fees to cut the spending by the state. So also with the DMV. He cut subsidies from the state to different departments and made the residents pay for that department. If you want to call that raising taxes then he also did that too.

But when you ask the question did you raise taxes, his answer should be ‘NO’ because he didn’t, those fees are not part of the tax system and they were raised to cut state subsidies.

SOFT ANSWER, DODGING QUESTION, OR ANSWERING DIRECTLY TO THE QUES

They claim the total tax burden in MA went up under Romney. This falsely implies that Romney raised taxes. In truth, some communities in MA chose to raise property taxes at the local level which Romney had no control over.

Some critics claim that Romney’s cuts in state spending forced local communities to raise their taxes, but the fact is they were under no obligation to raise taxes. Romney also closed loopholes in existing tax law, allowing the state to collect taxes from those who had been using schemes to reduce income reported on state tax returns. (Look at what GE was doing so they didn’t have to raise taxes, if you want to call that raising taxes go ahead, but getting rid of loop holes doesn’t always mean raising taxes. Getting rid of tax havens does not mean raising taxes, they stay the same)

Some critics falsely assert that Romney raised capital gains tax rates. In truth, the tax increase was enacted before Romney was elected governor but took effect during Romney’s term after having been tied up in court for several years. Critics are unable to point to any tax increases from Romney. Moreover, they fail to note that Romney repeatedly proposed tax cuts, which were shot down by the liberal MA legislature, starting as soon as he began to turn around the economy, prompting the liberal Boston Globe to complain after Romney’s first year in office, “The first signs of life appear in the Massachusetts economy and the governor calls for a $225 million tax cuts.

Romney knew he was going to run. He chose not to risk joining the national debate these last three years. You would not have to be feverishly filling up pages in his defense if he had done so. He has proven himself to be a ‘wait-and-seer,‘ like the guy who didn’t participate in a group science project, but managed to take credit for it in the end.

    GETLIFE,
Funny how you are filling up the page with anti-Romney rhetoric and I am filling up the page with answers to people’s questions and accusations. As I have said in the past I am not a Romney supporter yet, but I usually take the side opposite attackers. I think there are others to join the race. I am just not satisfied with the skeletons in everyone’s closet, no one is clean, they are all politicians, Bachmann, Perry, and Paul, they all work off the same play book. I just go off of history.

Gee, I bet Romney is ‘sorry’ he doesn’t spend his whole life in politics; if you recall history he has been working on the Susan B. Anthony pro-life campaign during the last three years as well as other organizations. He was also working in the private sector and supporting conservatives, as well as main stream Republican candidates during the last election.

    SHANEMMCC,
The CATO Institute(Libertarian Think Tank) has always been attacking Romney as well as the Heritage Foundation(Conservative Think Tank). Here is an article you have to read that was written after Romney’s first year where the Liberals are attacking Romney for “leading the charges against gay marriage, promoting the death penalty, and advocating a new tax cut” – http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2004/05/11/romneys_real_agenda_is_national/

    SHANEMMCC,

One last thing, that‘s right Romney is a career politician because his mom and dad ran for office in the 80’s. That must mean that I am a plumber because my wife has was a plumber back in the 80′s… SORRY, that does not hold any water.

Show me any GOP candidate that has not ‘flip-flopped,’ given a soft answer, or dodged a question. I would mark him as one of the more moral leaders in the running. Bachmann, probably as number one with sticking to her principles.

Plus where did you get your information about Romney, anti-Romney sites. Remember the words of Reagan, “Trust but Verify” research Romney and you will find someone that be a good president, maybe not a great, a Reagan, but a good President, one that we can be happy to have into office, one that won’t expand the government like Bush.
