Romney to Announce VP Pick Saturday in Virginia

Mitt Romney will announce his pick for the Republican vice presidential nomination Saturday morning in Norfolk, Va., his campaign announced Friday night.

Romney is expected to make the announcement at 9 a.m. at the USS Wisconsin.

He and his running mate are scheduled to attend rallies in Ashland and Manassas, Va. later in the day.

The announcement will come as Romney kicks off a four-day bus tour through battleground states Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio.

The Associated Press and NBC News each reported Romney has picked Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan.

“Leave it to the Liberals to BAN BOOKS that do not meet their ideological approval…..”

Suddenly now “historical fact” can be called “ideological approval.”

The publisher has the right to not publish a book that they think isn’t accurate. Hell, they could choose not to publish the book for any reason they want.

Surely you’re not saying that a private business should be forced to publish a book that they think is inaccurate?

So you are basically parroting what you hear in the media without checking the original sources or reading the book. Do you have an actual disagreement with any of the points in the book? Yes as Dawkins says you don’t have to study leprecho
logy to disbelieve in leprechauns, but at least get familiar with the mains points of the book and come back with a good opposing argument. Otherwise you are just being non-thinking ideologue. If that is the case then there is no point in having ANY kind of discussion with you. If you are expert please give me your best expert argument based on the material of the book and how it may differ from the source material.

You mean beyond the fact that he can say such gems as, “The wall of Separation was only meant to be one way.” A one way wall?

You mean that he can take Jefferson and turn him into an Orthodox Christian?

Rubio polls as the most popular and I think would be the best choice.

But it will most likely be Ryan. Two pasty white RINOS that are easy targets for the kind of campaign that Obama and the left love to shoot at.

I could handle Ryan or Rubio or Portman qlthough none are true constitutionalists and both are RINOs because of that.

Liberal Romney DESPISES the Tea Party so you can forget Allen West who would be my 2nd choice because he attacks even though West voted for NDAA. All the candidates have flaws. I just don’ want a PURE liberal like the ones below to be the VP.

Romney as a liberal DESPISES Rand Paul so you can forget him although he would be my first pick.

I could NOT stand the thought of Condi Rice, Chris Christy or Jeb Bush or Pawlenty. Christy’s list of liberal crap is so long, I could post it all on one Blaze comment section. The man is PURE liberal pork through and through and with a massive dash of Muslim loving added in.

Even then, I guarantee you would find a reason they weren’t perfect, holier than now. Oh well, it is what it is, I sure hope Rose, from the War Room, is right, and your conservatives will get on your horses and ride. That is, if you will accept Ryan as a conservative. Romney can’t win no matter how many votes he gets. The electronic voting machines are easy to hack. Fraud has always been an important factor. Counties that have a democrat machine can change the vote totals and leave no audit trail. The candidate that is the best at cheating will win. The smart money is on Obama.

      MR. RYAN AND THE LESBIAN

      LESBIAN GENERAL OFFICER

Less than a year after the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” former Army Colonel Tammy Smith was promoted to brigadier general Friday making her the first general officer to come out while serving.

Tammy Smith received her stars from her wife Tracey Hepner in a private ceremony at the Women’s Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery.

According to Stars and Stripes, Smith, 49, has been assigned as deputy chief at the Office of the Chief at the Army Reserve. Before “don’t ask, don’t tell” was repealed, she told the military newspaper last year that she was not planning on coming out to her colleagues, but would be relieved when she and Hepner would be able to go out together without worrying about being outed.

Yeah, nice try. This is anything but a normal event. His numbers are dropping and he’s back up into a corner. He’s only got a few cards to play, and ‘his people’ feel he had to play the VP card now. They need a distraction and a quick shot in the arm. Because he’s backed into a corner, they (not he) will probably pick Ryan to prove their allegiance to the farthest right. There goes the independent vote and the election. This is fun to watch.

ENCINOM: Dream on, dear boy. Keep repeating this to yourself since that is what your Democrat handlers want you to believe. Wish you would wake up. Life is really short and you are being used as a lefty violin. And have a feeling you are young.

      @ SIMPLETRUTH
You Sir are making a Common Mistake
      Confusing Independents with Moderates.

      Independents are Normal Hard Working
Folks Who are Sick of Both the Dem‘s An Repub’s.
They want Lower Taxes an Less Government.
      More Freedom
Sound like any R or D you know ?
      Sounds Positively TEA to Me.

Moderates on the Other Hand are the
      Middle of the Road, FenceSitters
Waiting For Someone To make Up their
      Mind for Them.
Also they Think that Bi-Partisan Means
Agreeing with Democrats an letting them have
      Their Way.
I Hope That Clears up the Confusion for You.

So the Romneys are selfish for keeping a horse?

And employing a groom with a family to support.
And paying for feed that’s sold by someone with a family to support
and transported in trucks by someone with a family to support
and manufactured in a factory by people with families to support
from stuff that’s grown by farmers with families to support.
And having a barn built by construction workers with families to support
with materials trucked by drivers with families to support
from factories with workers with families to support.

Sounds to me like that one horse has done more to put Americans to work than
that horse’s ass in the White House.

Ah! but I guess, that’s a horse of a different colour.

      Well said Observeronthehill,

Your list could certainly keep trickling down even further.

      The saddle maker.
      The Vet.
The drug manufacturers that make the medicines that the Vet prescribes.
The business that somebody “did not build”, that makes the plastic bottles that the pills come in.
      Etc, etc, etc.

Why more people don’t see things this way is mind boggling.

Rich people, and people trying to become rich, drive our economy.

      Thank a rich person today.

Observe, I have to say I like your post. Now all we need to do, is get government out of the way of the business so that more people can start businesses and have that same chance to become rich. Oh, wait, that is a Paul idea.

Rumor right away is that it’s Ryan getting the nod, a great choice. Neither obama aka bounel or his dumb-founded sidekick could hold a candle to Ryans integrity. Rubio was talked about a bit, but isnt a natrual born citizen and that issue seems to be a silent wisper in the GOP these days?

      Concerning Rubio,

His parents were resident aliens when he was born in 1971, seeking and soon to receive their status as naturalized U.S. citizens. Under the Fourteenth Amendment, “all persons born…in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the states wherein they reside.“ This ”subject to the jurisdiction thereof” clause shows why Rubio is — and, very likely, why children of illegal aliens are not — a “natural born citizen of the United States.”

      http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/07/the_good_news_rubios_eligible.html

Possibly why only a few people on this site are talking about Rubio not being eligible?

TRO: This is an important decision because the Obama Character Assassination Squad will have a new potential target to hit with their Alinsky routine. Maybe Harry Reid will have another phone call from an unnamed “source?? ” Taxes, capitalism, Catholicism…who knows what terrible sin or error this Republican may be guilty of ? Never fear, Harry ‘s source will spill the beans….BUT, still no access to Obama’s college records …too “secret” for potential voter viewing … and then there is Joe Biden . Joe Biden?? Where to begin….
