Ron Paul on Romney Collusion Theory: Santorum‘s ’Super Involved in Conspiracy Theories’

Following his third place finish in the Michigan Primary, Rep. Ron Paul, R-TX, gave an interview to Fox News’ Megyn Kelley and Brett Baier in which he emphatically denied any connection to the Romney campaign. Following the most recent debate, some observers had questioned whether Paul was secretly in cahoots with Romney, given the Texas Congressman’s outsized focus on rival Rick Santorum, almost completely the exclusion of Romney. It was this allegation that led Fox‘s Brett Baier to ask Paul whether his son’s political future factored at all into his calculus, as though a tie with Romney might bolster the younger Paul’s chances of future success. Paul shot the idea down flat.

“We don’t talk about it, we don’t think about it, I have my job and he has his job, and that just doesn’t seem to be appropriate. I have to see how well I can do in this campaign. But the last thing I’ve done is talk to Mitt Romney. Besides, he wouldn’t talk to me about that. I mean, that’s just fiction, and has mostly been promoted by someone who I guess is super involved in conspiracy theories,” Paul said. “Santorum’s doing that, but it doesn’t make any sense at all.”

Watch the clip here:

Whatever the truth of Paul’s words, his accusation is sure to strike supporters of his opponents as more than a little ironic, given similar accusations that have been leveled at the Texas Congressman himself regarding his views and supporters. Moreover, the political future of the younger Paul is an open question, given that he is seen by some as having a broader support base among conservatives than his father.

Yep..they should take conspiracy out of the dictionary since none exists..there has never been a conspiracy..never will be..off to the psycho ward..a friend of mine’s daughter learned in college that Bin Laden was already dead before they killed him..imagine that! Teaching conspiracy theories in college. THen I just saw last night on video where special forces are reiterating that very thing..and they are also saying that the 9/11 thing,,they are belieiving the inside job thing because of a chemical they have found in the bdlgs of the trade tower..imagine that,,the special forces now believing conspiracy theories..looks like the non conspiratists are the only smart ones out here..Remember how Joan Behar and friends got up and walked out Bill Oreilly? Remember how the US team when in talks with the ME got up and walked out at the suggestion that 9/11 was an insided job? Well then..that settles it..it is all just theories..lol

The neocons just want an excuse to bomb Iran and kill millions of innocent people… And also, Conservatives like Rick Santorum are just so completely neocons and warmongers, they just want war and death, and like, killing people, and innocent people, and, and, ya know, they spend millions of dollars on air conditioning in Afghanistan, and so the military industrial complex just has too many troops around the world, and we should just mind our own business, ya know…

So yeah, RON PAUL 2012, RON PAUL 2012!!!!! RON PAUL 2012!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I’m now going to be the typical RP supporter and shout you down into submission!!! RON PAUL 2012!!!!! RON PAUL 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rick Santorum robocalled Democrats in Michigan!

Said to defeat Romney’s chances — Democrats come vote for Santorum, and many did!

Mitt Romney charged Rick Santorum with using “dirty tricks” to win Michigan’s Tuesday primary.

Michael Moore claims his friends will be voting for Rick Santorum – calling it “Operation Hilarity”

Operation Hilarity is “an opportunity for Democrats to actually help prolong this election a little bit longer because we’ve seen that the longer this drags out, the worse it is for Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum and the best it is for Barack Obama.”

Democrats and Republicans play a game to keep the public in line. Each candidate must fit a tight little box. No candidate dares cross the line into the “opposition territory.” If they do, they are demonized by BOTH political parties. Today, there’s not much difference in Democrats and Republicans when it comes to a world without borders and redistribution of wealth. They win, no matter which party is in office.

It will continue that way until America develops a strong 3rd party, or the current political parties GET BACK TO THE CONSTITUTION.

This week, Sen. Jim DeMint offered some advice to the Republican Party: “The debate in the Republican Party needs to be between libertarians and conservatives. … There’s no longer room for moderates and liberals because we don’t have any money to spend, so I don’t want to be debating with anyone who wants to grow government.”

Rick Santorum has said: “I fight very strongly against libertarian influence within the Republican Party and the conservative movement.” Sen. DeMint says: “I’d like to see a Republican Party that embraces a lot of the libertarian ideas.” Not surprisingly, Santorum has spent most of his political career promoting big government. Not surprisingly, DeMint has spent most of his political career fighting it.

Santorum lost his senate seat in PA over scandals.

He wasn’t living in PA when he was senator. He bought a $700,000 mansion in VA and was living there. He claimed his residence was a $70,000 2 bedroom house outside Pittsburgh, he has 7 kids. It was on the news several times, run down grass not cut, no furniture. But he claimed to commute back there every week. He refused to back down.

Then he rented it out and bad for him, the renters registered to vote with Santorum’s address. Still Santorum wouldn’t back down and claimed to live there on tv. Well it gets better.

Santorum then enrolled his kids in some online charter school and billed the school district in PA $20,000 per kid per year for their education, while he was living in VA. The school district won against him, but missed some sort of legal deadline. Santorum has never paid the money back to date.

I’m sure this all will come out, it was all over the news here back then.

I was once like that — believed as long as I pulled the Republican-lever to vote (like my mom and dad taught me) that everything would be okay. Glenn Beck changed that when he introduced me to United Nations Agenda 21. That led me to learning what a progressive Republican is (the same as a Democrat).

Ignorance is bliss and many Americans just haven’t taken the time to do the necessary homework.
They sit in front of the tv and allow the media to tell them what to think. It’s ruining America.

Democrats and Republicans have partnered for redistribution of wealth and a world without borders. The only way to stop them is to recognize CONSERVATIVES, regardless of the label: Democrat, Republican, Libertarian

Vechorik, keep up the good work my friend. Time_2 is a clueless dweeb. If you look at the difference in the crowds that come to the canidates rallies, you can see that there are two scenario’s. One is that our voting process is as corrupt as Russia’s, or Two, The majority of voters are like Time_2, they just sit around and listen to the media and vote for whoever the media says to vote for. They are not intelligent enough or are too lazy to actually research the candidates and they are definately too lazy to attend their candidates rallies. They just go like zombies when it is time to vote, then slink back to their couch to watch the skewed results. Pathetic.

Here is a picture comparison of the crowd difference between Paul and Romney: http://twitter.com/#!/WhereIsTheRage/status/174624897845305346/photo/1/large

I do not have a picture of Santorums but he did beat Mitt in supporter numbers at his rally with a whopping 600 attending. Pauls crowd was over 4000.

@ Vechorik Thank you for doing your own research and for trying to create an objective discussion that is based on factual information rather than mindless emotional rants by individuals like

….and you guys thought he was one of you this whole time, didn’t you?

Vechorik, unfortunately I‘ve found the die hard GOP base doesn’t respond well to facts when presented with them. Usually they go into a mode of denial then accuse you of supporting Obama (instead of embracing the truth), because if you don’t support the establishment choice, then you must be for Obama.

No, the only way we get through to them is we write in our candidate’s name this time and get a third party going for next time. We‘ll suffer through another four years of Obama but at least we’ll have a voice. You know as well as I do the GOP doesn’t represent conservatism anymore, not even by an inkling.

The only link I have seen is that Romney would like to be like Ron Paul in matters of stopping of the policing of the world and bringing the military home..but the people are terrified of not policing the world.. some seem to think that China will do it and become the greatest nation..ha ha ..she might be because she probably wouldn’t be dumb enough to blow them up and rebuild them constantly..but regardless..I don’t see China wanting to spend all of her wealth doing it..THen she would be in our position..She’s too smart for that.

@ASHESTOASHES – You need to do some research on China. China’s plan is world dominance. They are buying up the world’s energy and mining reserves one at a time. Do a search on who owns most of the ports in the U.S., the Caribbean, and in South America. It is people who do not think that this isn’t happening that are the problem.

They are grabbing delegate spots in all the counties around the country. When we get to Florida, I am guessing that Paul supporters will have the higher percentage of delegate spots. Ron Paul knows what he stands for and doesn’t waver. I can hardly say the same about Santorum or Romney. And of course, Gingrich is just a joke, I think of them all as the three stooges. Romney is Moe, Santorum is Larry, and Gingrich is Curly Joe.

I think the reason we have these gents is because America has lost her way. In trying to find her way, she is saying, “Anyone will do, as long as he doesn’t look like Satan”.

Well, Satan can take many guises. That’s how we got into this mess. Last time he shows up as George Bush, though there were many better candidates, the decepticons made us feel like winners when “triumphed” over the opposition and we avoid the big SATAN Al Gore. In retrospect, are any of us happy with the huge debt and warmongering and nation building that GW and his cronies led us into?

I see the Ron Paul’ers are out in full force on this one. It is unfortunate for the candidate & his followers, but he simply does not have enough support to get the nomination. It is unfortunate, also, that his unwillingness to accept this reality has not led him to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. His hate of Santorum is unfathomable. With everything that Obama is doing to destroy the United States – just the proposed military healthcare co-pay increases alone – you’d think he and his attack-dogs would have enough to feed on without the “sour grapes” which make him look very ineffectual.

They don’t want to hear our opinions after they get elected. Ron Paul is not a conservative, he’s a Libertarian. That said, I took a test to find out what I was and scored higher on the Libertarian side because I’m not willing to sacrifice freedom for conservatism. I like Ron Paul except for his foreign policy. Being an isolationist has, according to history, caused other countries to attack us. If you keep to yourself, you get bullied. I don‘t mind keeping out of other’s business, but we have to have a strong military. I heard Ron explain it himself, and it almost made sense. He basically said no more just going in for a military situation, we have to declare war. That would make Congress think long and hard about going in to a country, and remove the decision from the President, who could be swayed by things like protecting our oil overseas. All I know is I don’t want Romney. He’s Obama-light. I would actually take a Libertarian over Romney.

And if we really want change in Washington we need to focus on Congress. It doesn‘t matter if we have a conservative President if we don’t have a conservative Congress. I like Glenn Beck, except for his misunderstanding of Ron Paul’s foreign policy. Since Ron Paul and George Washington agree, I have to fault Glenn Beck for his lie that Israel will die if Ron Paul is elected.

As individuals, we can freely support any country we wish, including Israel. What Ron Paul is saying, and he is correct, is that as a FEDERAL policy, we should be neutral. That’s what the Constitution says.

Even more importantly, the President doesn’t declare war. Congress does. So it doesn’t matter WHAT your foreign policy is with regard to who defends who. This entire debate is a red herring. Beck is wrong, Paul is right. And unfortunately we have a large group of lemmings who repeat mindlessly anything Glenn Beck says.

Look, you can support Ron Paul all you want, but if all you Paul disciples write him in on your ballots, then you are signing the death certificate for America. Obama is already showing that he well lead by fiat and congress seams to show no power to stop him. If you want your vote to count and you truly want to save America, vote for Obama’s Republican opponent and focus your attention on your local candidates that support your ideology. One man in the White House will not make all the difference, but Obama out of the White House will make a huge difference.

Here is the platform of that veteran, medical doctor, and elected official whom the mainstream media calls a “nut case”…

LOWER TAXES: “The power to tax is the power to destroy, which is why Ron Paul will never support higher taxes. Our national debt is currently over $14 trillion, with the government spending nearly $2 trillion more per year than it collects. The American people should not have to pay for Washington’s reckless and out-of-control appetite for debt. High taxes stifle innovation, prevent saving, destroy production, crush the middle class and the poor, and discourage investment. Every American is entitled to the fruits of his labor, especially during these tough economic times.”

WORKER’S RIGHTS: “While Ron Paul supports the right of every American to join a private sector union if they wish, he believes, like most Americans, that forcing workers to pay union dues just to get or keep a job is wrong.”

ECONOMIC CRISIS: As President, Ron Paul will lead the way out of this crisis by: Vetoing any unbalanced budget Congress sends to his desk. * Refusing to further raise the debt ceiling so politicians can no longer spend recklessly. * Legalizing sound money, so the government is forced to get serious about the dollar’s value. * Ending the corporate stranglehold on the White House. * Driving down gas prices by allowing offshore drilling, abolishing highway motor fuel taxes, increasing the mileage reimbursement rates, and offering tax credits.

Listen to the folly bandied about by Fox News and now, even Blaze. The idea that either Paul would be selected to serve as VP is ludicrous. The VP is ALWAYS chosen as an inept idiot, someone that NO ONE wants to be VP. This protects the president from assassination. If either Paul were VP, Romney would be dead within the week.

Anyone who thinks there “might” be a shred of truth to these rumors is not a thinker, but rather, a sheep, willing to believe any lie told on the nightly news.

Paul will not be treasury secretary, VP, or any other subservient position, it would be fruitless and useless to everyone who loves the constitution. These secondary positions are forced to tow the line of the constitution-breaker-in-chief.

@Backstep. They will attempt to tie Dr Paul to any nutjob that walks up to him on the Camapign trail. He will talk to anyone and listen to their concerns as a good candidate should. There are a lot of followers of Dr Paul that totally misun\derstand his message because they have listened to the MSM that says he wants to legalize drugs and end all wars. Nothing could be furthur from the truth, but people do not understand because they have been brainwashed into believeing soundbites…

Dr Paul wants the STATES, not the FDA to handle thier own control and approval of drugs. Some States such as California, would legalize a lot of illegal drugs, put them under state control and tax them. Other States like Texas would probably keep a very tight reign on drugs, but maybe legalize some EXPERIMENTAL drugs that the FDA will not release. The FDA would be gone and that is a VERY good thing!

As far as foriegm policy. Ron Paul wants wars to be declared by Congress with a REAL enemy to be declared. Not just a boogey man “terrorist” but a Country we can go in quickly and kick it’s a@@ and stop rebuilding them after we destroy them. We would have and should have been out of Iraq as soon as Saddam was captured and hanged. Big difference? Yes I would say so!!

I agree, it is AMAZING how a man like Dr. Paul who was a successful OB-GYN who served the nation honorably as a Flight Surgeon can be “electable”. I mean obviously only an Indonesian named Hussein who openly admits to being ashamed of this nation and who once won a Nobel PEACE Prize for defending, prolonging, and actively conducting a WAR he himself had denounced as UNJUST can be elected in the United States.

Nice try, Top, but Ron Paul may be a poor public speaker (even a little whiny) but he is the genuine article. Unlike President Hussein who is a hypocrite even by his own Leftist standards.

Santorum: “The Abramoff ‘K’ Street Candidate”

Rick Santorum has done well to pose as a candidate ‘for the people’.
Despite a long voting record that looks more like the rap sheet of a corrupt Washington insider, there is a significant amount of interest in Santorum’s campaign.
All of the usual suspects, Neo-Conservative radio talk show personalities give a well spun perspective on “Rick” as they call him. Even Glenn Beck who says he doesn’t endorse candidates… has in fact endorsed Rick Santorum!
Yet the facts don’t lie. Santorum was literally the liason to the K St. lobbyist groups — a sort of general manager of connections from lobbyists to Capitol Hill.

Former Abramoff-Linked Lobbyist Helps Santorum in South Carolina
A one-time Senate aide turned lobbyist who pleaded guilty to fraud in the wake of the Jack Abramoff scandal has been spearheading former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign in South Carolina in advance of the state’s pivotal Jan. 21 primary.

Norquist, however, claims that at a 2002 meeting with Santorum and lobbyists he described the project to them. A contemporary report says he described its goals and asked those present to help complete the project. He passed out a list of lobbyists the project was checking on. At that time Santorum did not comment.

Later that year, Norquist publicly commented, “Santorum has gotten me in to talk to all those guys.”
