Ron Paul on Trump’s Jump: ‘I Doubt He’ll Do It’

When Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) was interviewed on Friday’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto,” the Fox News host asked him about the possibility of a third-party run by newly-registered independent Donald Trump.
“To each his own, he may do it. I doubt he’ll do it—if he really wanted to be president, why did he walk away? Why did he become concerned he couldn’t do it as a Republican?” Paul asked.
“I have no idea what he is going to do,” Paul added. “I don’t think he will be calling me for advice. I don’t think he will ask for an appointment to come see me to get advice or an endorsement. I’m not expecting that.”

“Why have you never kissed his ring like virtually all of the other candidates have?” Cavuto asked.
“I didn’t think it was necessary or appropriate,” Paul replied. “How could he endorse what I’m doing? My positions are pretty much opposite of what he talks about. He doesn’t believe in free market. He likes the Federal Reserve. He is not a free trader. He likes tariffs. So there is not a lot we have in common.”
“So we won’t be seeing you at the Trump Tower anytime soon, Ron Paul?” Cavuto asked.
“Oh, no! Not likely,” Paul responded. “If he wants to converse I’ll be glad to take his call.”

Will Ron Paul ask himself the same question if perchance HE loses the GOP nomination? So far, he’s the hold-out in terms of committing to the party’s nominee no matter who that person is! He‘s the only one that hasn’t ruled out a run on a NON-Republican ticket!
That said, I applaud Ron Paul that he stands firm against the RINO policies of Trump and his crony capitalists. God bless him for his consistency!

People need to realize that the emperor truly has no clothes. That which we have derided for decades about other nations, that they get to “vote”, but only for who is picked for them, is going to be revealed to be the truth here in this country.
When that happens, there will be no choice. It will be a matter of principal, and many of us are ready and committed to that.

I was for Rick Santorum 2 years ago, but hopped (and hoped) around to several other Republicans (you can guess who they were by the poll numbers) on the idea of “electability” Now, I am convinced that Paul and Trump will go 3rd party. If the Republicans have an honest conservative, then at least they will be going down in style. So . . . I’m back onboard for Santorum. Too bad for him that I don’t live in Iowa.

On the charge that he was negligent regarding the newsletters (no sane person actually believes he’s racist), he just said that he wasn’t perfect and he was busy when those letters went out. As for the pork, he said that the money was going to be taken out one way or another so he tried to get the taxes, he didn’t believe should have been taken in the first place, back to his constituents rather than having the money go to the POTUS to be divvied out. He then voted no. So he was clever enough to play the corrupt system, which he didn’t create for the benefit of his constituents. Are you really looking for answers or out to demonize him? I’m guessing the latter.

Ron Paul may“ not” be a racist, but he became complicit in a strategy of pandering to racists, bigots and anti-semites taking “moral responsibility” for that means more than just uttering the phrase. It means openly grappling with his own past… acknowledging who said what, and why (Lew Rockwell and Murray Rothbard or Paul himself). Otherwise he risks damaging not only his own reputation, but that of the philosophy to which he has committed his life.
Also research a magazine called “The Spotlight” (virulent anti-semites and Holocaust deniers) and see where Paul got big campaign $$ years ago from the membership (sought out and solicited) to further his Congressional campaigns. AND it was laughed about by he and his closest friends… like Rothbard and Rockwell.

Yes..the goal of Islam is to establish a world wide caliphate.. and guess what..we already had one million of them here..then in the last 3 yrs. we have imported approx 2 million more and probably more since that estimation..the current administration opened 300-350 jobs in government for the ones directly from the midldle east. He’s thought his positions through and vetted them against the constitution consistently. This is just what America needs now in this time of sorrow and hardship. He could get us through this fire and add another 250 years to our position in the world. The rest of them are more than happy to watch us slump down into the class of third world nations.
He is the only one that would allow Israel to bomb the crap out of Iran and not intervene. All of the others would be out there siding WITH the UN condemning Israel. People think he would not support Israel, but he actually does so more and deeper than any other candidate. The others secretly wish Israel would just disappear, and their interference just causes unneeded problems for the USA.
