Does Ron Paul Want to Pull Plug on A/C for Troops in Afghanistan?

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul wants to bring U.S. armed forces home from Iraq and Afghanistan, and one way to achieve that goal might be to pull the plug on their air conditioning. In a statement made during Wednesday’s GOP debate, Paul lamented the “$20 billion” spent pumping AC into tents around Afghanistan and Iraq where American military personnel are stationed.

Paul, who declared that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is broke, offered his idea for addressing the agency’s funding concerns. Paul suggested that the $20 billion spent on troops’ AC should be brought home, where he would then “take ten [billion] off the debt and put ten [billion] into FEMA” or another program like child health care.

“But I tell you if we took AC out of the green zone, our troops would come home and that would make me happy,” Paul declared.

But if our service men and women could not be brought home and instead were to remain in Iraq and Afghanistan, would Paul really want them to go without air conditioning in the sweltering desert?

Listen to Paul’s comments and share your thoughts below:

Yet another example of the BLAZE having been corrupted by the drive by sound bite establishment media. This site has officially become useless.

Everyone, WAKE UP. Do these controlled environment debates really carry so much weight in you making your decisions on who you vote for? Are you really so gullible and shallow as to believe that the answers provided on this stage can be taken as truth???

Perry = establishment tool, former campaign manager for Al Gore. Took billions in federal bailout cash and still managed to double the Texas debt.
    Romney = Romneycare. Nuff said
Cain = former Federal reserve chairman
    Santorum = Neocon psycho
Bachman = former IRS agent who voted for the Patriot Act
Gingrich = political chameleon and pro-man made global warming
Huntsman = former willing member of Obama’s administration

WTF are we talking about here??!!!! There is ONE man on that stage who understands and will fight for liberty AND who has the record to prove it! That man is Ron Paul. Please, wake up. Every other tool on that stage will leave you with nothing but regret.

I understand this angle in light of the reasoning behind the 12th Imam and Iran’s current regime.

The point Ron Paul makes is that every neighbor in the region has nukes. China, the former USSR, Pakistan, and countless other volatile and infinitely more dangerous countries have had and still do have nukes. Hundreds and thousands of them.

The fact is that Iran does not have force projection, ICBMs, or even the capability to manufacture its own oil. They are one of the richest nations on earth in terms of crude and don’t even have the capacity to refine it internally. This is the great threat to America?

I stand with Israel. So does Ron Paul. Where he draws the line is with further preemptive action without a congressional declaration of war. Have the past ten years of border-less, endless, unconstitutional wars and nation building taught us nothing? For the love of God, it was our foreign policy and the CIA that deposed the democracy forming in Iran in the 1950s in favor of installing the Shah, who would later give birth to the rise of the 12-ers due to his dictatorial practices. Please, wak up my friend.

I think Ron Paul was not asked as many questions as the other candidates. Why do they keep treating so unfairly. Yes, I am disappointed with the biased slanted view the Blaze presented on this article. Keep it up people can see what you are doing and it will only backfire. You really need to do some background research to know the truth on these candidates. Ron Paul has always been honorable and has put America first. I can’t say that about some of the other choices.

Paul cited a University of Chicago professor, Robert Pape, whose research argues that most of the suicide terrorism in the past 30 years was caused by military occupation. Pape’s research, funded by the Defense Department, shows that suicide bombings in Afghanistan went up one third after the Obama administration surged 30,000 troops into the country.
Not only is Pape wrong; he’s on the dole of Hamas-linked CAIR.

WINTERSET, Ia. – Two weeks away from the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul says that U.S. intervention in the Middle East is a main motivation behind terrorist hostilities toward America, and that Islam is not a threat to the nation.
At a campaign stop on Saturday in Winterset, one man asked Paul how terrorist groups would react if the U.S. removed its military presence in Middle Eastern nations, a move the candidate advocates.
“Which enemy are you worried that will attack our national security?” Paul asked.
“If you’re looking for specifics, I’m talking about Islam. Radical Islam,” the man answered.
“I don’t see Islam as our enemy,” Paul said. “I see that motivation is occupation and those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land, the support of their dictators that they hate.”

Bachman = scares me a little with her prior comment about be willing to give on certain things to get the important things done…a little “ends justify the means” for me

How would you feel if china told us we can’t have nukes and then tried to stop us? Or how about the UN trying to get our government to grab all our guns? Oh that’s right they already are! Sorry Ron Paul actually knows the proper role and place for our government. You empire lovers do not. You are as bad as the leftists.

Regarding 9/11, Paul said that attacks against the U.S. from Middle Eastern groups at home and abroad can be traced to the foreign presence of U.S. troops, as well as America’s relationships with dictator regimes.
Paul referred to a military base in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, as a key motivator in the Sept. 11th attacks. Osama bin Laden viewed it as an American desecration of holy land.
“After 9/11, (people said) ‘Oh yeah, it’s those very bad people who hate us,’ but 15 of (the hijackers) came from Saudi Arabia,” said Paul. “One of the reasons they attacked us, is we propped up this Sharia government and the fundamentalists hated us for it.”
Paul is totally clueless. They attacked us because we were propping up a “Sharia government” and “the fundamentalists hated us for it”? Since when do Islamic “fundamentalists” disapprove of Sharia governments? They attacked us, according to Osama bin Laden, because, among other reasons, we were in his view “prevent[ing] our people from establishing the Islamic Shariah,” not propping up a Sharia state.

That’s OK I understand that your head is in the sand. When the next attack occurs be it economic, or nuclear can we then wipe them out or do we have to wait for a specific number to be killed. Lets call it 100. to low, how about 1000 still to low. Here why don’t you give us a number that would enable the United States to defend itself. I’ll even deflect those killed by Iran in the Iraq and Afghanistan theater. Remember nukes don’t have to be attached to a rocket. OK. I get that allot from Paultards.

Thanks. It’s not everyday some high and Mighty Paultards praises my intelligence over theirs.

Allah is the Moon God. Mohammad picked it from over 300 idols.
Read your history and not what Muslims want you to believe to bring creditability to their ideology. I really cant blame you though. Just your education that you received from a left wing idiot who had as much knowledge as your political god Paul. The fact of the matter is the hard evidence demonstrates that the god Allah was a pagan deity. In fact, he was the Moon-god who was married to the sun goddess and the stars were his daughters. . ancient Sumerians worshipped a Moon-god who was called many different names. The most popular names were Nanna, Suen and Asimbabbar. His symbol was the crescent moon.. the Arabs remained true to their conviction that the Moon-god was the greatest of all gods. While they worshipped 360 gods at the Kabah in Mecca, the Moon-god was the chief deity. Mecca was in fact built as a shrine for the Moon-god prior to Mohammad. Which was another object he incorportaed into Isalm. .The evidence reveals that the temple of the Moon-god was active even in the Christian era. Evidence gathered from both North and South Arabia demonstrate that Moon-god worship was clearly active even in Muhammad’s day and was still the dominant cult. According to numerous inscriptions, while the name of the Moon-god was Sin, his title was al-ilah, i.e. “the deity,”

Don‘t take this like I’m picking on you but I want to help you.

Baal is still principally thought of as a Canaanite fertility deity
Baal was common a name of small Syrian and Persian deities,
Baal never emerged as a rain god until later times when he assumed the special functions of each
Baal is the god of rain, thunder, and lightening
Baal, the sun god, was fervently prayed to for the protection of livestock and crops
In the Bible Baal is also called Beelzebub, or Baalzebub, one of the fallen angels of Satan.

So next time someone speaks of Allah the moon god now you know not to equate it with Baal. Would hate for you to look stupid……….again.

I understand that it may be easy to attack Ron Paul supporters.

In fact, I was very put-off by them back in 2008. They seemed to be very — how shall we say — “leftist-like” in their anti-war ranting, and very insulting by the way they called anyone who didn’t support their views neo-cons and sheeple. I even remember a good friend of mine saying how he supported Paul, and I thought: Well, he will never win. And perhaps he won’t this time around either. However, I began researching Paul‘s views and found that what he was advocating didn’t seem all that crazy after all. Why was it, that I was so supportive of the “spreading of democracy” through military means? Because Bush was on “my team, not the other guys’?” I realized that the so-called “crazy” positions that Paul stood for, were simply constitutional positions. Sometimes I feel like we have strayed so far, for so many years, away from the original intentions of the Founding Fathers, that we have forgotten what that really means. Sometimes it’s a position we condone, sometimes it’s one that we despise. Iran getting a nuke? Sound terrible to me. But so does N. Korea, Russia, China, and pretty much anyone besides us and Britain. Do we have the right to intervene? Sure, if Congress views it as an imminent threat to our nation and declares war. I just recently finished reading the Federalist Papers (something I would strongly suggest to anyone), and can honestly say: James Madison would vote f

Ron Paul supporters, good job. Stay classy and do not lower yourself in the mud, continue your stance in truth peacefully, and change one heart and mind a day for freedom and we will be heard.

I encourage you to think whole heartily about our responsibility first as Citizens then as Republicans (conservatives) in holding our officials accountable and how. Before we as Republicans can issue blame and expose the progressive agenda totally, we must eliminate it from our “conservative” party itself, otherwise we will always be affected by the cancer and it will continue to devour the party as we saw happen completely to the Democrats. If we “conservatives” elect a progressive right as the nomination, nothing will change. We must stand up to our “party” officials and hold them accountable and our fellow “conservative” party members as well. If the nominee is progressive right, vote 3rd party. We are responsible for our vote and for our party. If they refuse to hear us in the primaries, they can hear us in the general election.

      Paul/Cain
      Paul/Palin
      Paul/Gingrich

I could see any one of the 3 doing well if not winning on a 3rd party ticket. They will draw conservatives, independents, and conservative Democrats.

“Conservatives” who will be upset and say we lost them the election, you should listen to us if we hold that much power over your election results.

Ron Paul does NOT want to take away your AC in Afghanistan!! He wants to BRING YOU HOME!!! WAKE UP and quit being a moron. Yes, I said “moron”. (We didnt have A/C in germany or vietnam.) you are completely missing the point.

YES RON PAUL IS ABSOLUTELY ELCTABLE !!!!!! and he will WIN the election. There is no one else up on that stage talking about constitutional limitations on gov’t. NONE of the other candidates have any INTEGRITY ( look up the meaning of that word) or the record to back it up!! Age is the key to WISDOM !!! You never hear someone say “A wise YOUNG man once said …” ,DO YOU?
Are we so far from the path of our founders that Ron Paul sounds like a RADICAL to the average american?!?!?! Read George Washinton, The Federalist papers, or how about the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION!!!! WAKE UP DAMMIT!!!

The Debate was ran by an agenda driven media and it was disgusting to see the seeded questions, one after the other. They almost completely ignored everyone other than Romney and Perry, WHAT A BUNCH OF HACKS!!! They tried to get them to banter and fight with each other at almost every turn, i found it repulsively biased and unprofessional. @ T H E – M O N K You say Ron Paul is OK with Iran getting the nuke…It already has the nuke. They have had it under two presidents and nothing was done. Wasn’t it North Korea that helped them get the nuke? How many presidents watched as North Korea got “the nuke”?
Come on people we can not be the world police anymore. We are broke and gettin’ broker from trying to police the world.
Bring our troops home so they can secure our borders and our people and spend our money right here fixing our infrastructure. Then when we are all happy and rich then we can try that policing the world again. We need to regroup and stop Throwing money at problems that we know we can’t do anything about. Fix the borders, fix the roads, the bridges, etc. and then start BSing about Iran.
I would feel safer if we just stayed in the borders of our country and if someone threatened us we would send them a nuke free of charge via a missle. (I crack myself up, LOL)

      So about those airconditioners.

I actually wondered about that. Have done tours in both Iraq, and Afghanistan, and was amazed at the semi truck sized generators. I just had to wonder how much it cost to maintain them, and how much tax money to fuel them.

The military is different since the Clinton days. We spend way more time worrying about comfort than back in the Reagan days, when it was all about winning on the battle field. Then again, when you start putting females much closer to the front, A/C and such might be more requested.

In a matter of days we go green light on allowing homosexuals to serve. Can you imagine the noise they will make, when they find out the A/C got shut off. Would be tough duty with a bunch of sniveling sweaty sodomites in the tent.

Corinar1… “The point Ron Paul makes is that every neighbor in the region has nukes. China, the former USSR, Pakistan, and countless other volatile and infinitely more dangerous countries have had and still do have nukes. Hundreds and thousands of them. The fact is that Iran does not have force projection, ICBMs, or even the capability to manufacture its own oil. This is the great threat to America?”

Sorry pal but you are seriously wrong about Iranian capabilities and would should be very afraid of an Iranian nuke. They do have the ability to deliver nukes (Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, etc) and they do have medium range missles that can reach Israel. They are also building missile launch facilities in Venezuela that can be used to strike the US. Iran has also tested ICBM’s so its only a matter of time before they can reach the US and Europe.

Finally, with Russia, China, and N Korea we still have MAD as a deterrent. With Iran, that is the goal. The only way to usher in the 12 imam, (anti-christ) is to wash the world in blood. THAT IS THE IRANIAN GOAL.

I believe Ron Paul has said that he never would have attacked Aghanashit after 9-11. His foriegn policy is detrimental to US security. Sorry.

You still have yet to explain why Iran has not acquired a nuke from Russia, N Korea, Pakistan (Islamist radical ran), Libya (Still have Uranium), or any black market and run it across the wide open southern border. What has stopped them from doing so? Nothing. How many suicide bombers have denoted in the USA from Iran? Zero.

Secondly, you lack clear intelligence on Iranian military capabilities. Their military is all bark and no bite. Paper airplanes and rocks, basically. Iran wants nothing more then to be attacked so all Arabs unite I. Their defense. Chess, not checkers. Persians invented Chess and they are setting the trap and your falling for it.

Third, your preaching a weak Israel, the same Israel who took out Iraq’s reactor and whipped all the Arab countries by themselves in the 6 day war. Have faith.

Ron Paul has a much clearer and more level headed understanding of the ME then you clearly display. Your reasoning is all emotion (fear) and not logical at all. Fear herds cattle nicely. If cattle thought logical, they all charge at the fear (herders) herding them. Instead, fear drives them. Don’t be cattle!

Regarding the A/C comment, here Ron Paul is inadvertently rolling two arguments into one because he’s pressed for time.

The first argument trades on the idea that A/C is wasteful in a war that is OSTENSIBLY for our protection – I mean, if we needed to be protected from an actual imminent threat, then you would think the thing to do would be to get it done and get back home.

The second argument accidentally rolled into the first is one that he has made before: If you bring home the troops, you could afford to take half the money you save and put it toward the deficit, and then, while we are being weened off the Nanny State, we could put the other half toward something like FEMA.

      Consider:

Ron Paul: FEMA Is the Real Disaster
      http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08/28/paul-fema-is-real-disaster/

“”FEMA creates many of our problems because they sell the insurance because you can’t buy it from a private company, which means there’s a lot of danger, so we pay people to build on beaches, and then we have to go and rescue them,” he said.”

“”The 12-term congressman suggested that the U.S. could recover $2 billion by pulling troops out of the conflict in Libya and applying the money at home.

“”I propose that we could save a billion dollars from the overseas war mongering, bring half that home, put it against the deficit, and yes, tide people over until we come to our senses.”"

David Horowitz being interviewed by GB at lunch said that Ron Paul was an anti-Semite because he didn’t support the Middle Eastern Wars for Israel. GB asked if that was sort of in line with the thoughts of the Founders and Horowitz responded “Back then it took days to cross the ocean!” Glenn then proceeds to bail him out by bringing up the Barbery actions involving Pirates.

What a crock! They all know it.. Glenn doesn’t mind using American GIs as mercenaries if IPAC demands it do you Glenn?

      @Tech

Did you notice the direct contradiction made by Horowitz?

It started off with Horowitz saying God put an angel with a flaming sword to keep man out of Eden because Man was the problem. Sin.

At 11:13 CST Horowitz said you can tell your a Conservative if you know you (man) can’t fix man. Only knowing God can. Progressives believe they can fix man, fix the problem,  and be some sort of redeemer as if they are God.

I agree with this statement 100%.

Then Hororowitz said what he did about Ron Paul because Ron Paul is all for Israel and Israel deciding themselves what is best, not us. Horowitz wants USA to be a redeemer of Israel.

How does he not catch this contradiction? Israel can hold her own and decide for herself. I just don’t get how people do not connect the truth of that contradiction.

      Hope your well…..

I thought he may have been the Home Depot founder at first but something told me that they were about to attack Ron Paul so I kept listening and within two or three minutes of me tuning in they singled out Paul and then called him an anti-Semite.

I heard old Ben Stein call him an anti-Semite on Larry King one evening a year or two ago.. I laughed so hard over the back and forth.. I don’t believe Ron Paul has a pretentious or deceptive bone in his body… He’s such a straight shooter but took great exception at being called an anti-Semite by Stein.

It‘s come to the point now that if you don’t support wholeheartedly bombing invading and occupying Middle Eastern lands then one is an anti-Semite.. Very sad time in America.

As I said above if the field narrows down to 3-5 then I believe Paul’s message may begin to resonate with the folks..

      @JDS7171

I don‘t know what your role was in the military or what you did or didn’t do. What I do know is that you can survive without A/C in your can or tent. Also, the A/C in a tent is a little ridiculous wouldn’t you say? I was in a tent for a month in the desert in Iraq and the thing is that it doesn’t cool the uninsulated tent off in the day and at night with the a/c running you freeze unless you wear sweats and both bags with 2 pair of socks. I think it is perfectly fine for permanent structures that are insulated to have a/c, but to provide a/c in temp. structures is pretty stupid and uncomfortable.

By the way, my best time in Iraq was when I went on noon runs after working 7pm to 7am in the middle of the summer. I loved running in that heat. I didn’t have a problem sweating off the chow hall, that’s for sure.

Oh, as long as I mentioned chow hall… Do we really need surf and turf tuesay‘s in DFAC’s? Why are we spending money on crab and lobster? It was nice for sure, but necessary? There is a lot of fat in the military that can be cut. A/C in tents is just a slice off the gut.

      All I can say is:

      Ron Paul 2012

The only man with a consistent voting and public record that reflects the best values of the American Constitutional Government.
People say, “oh Ron Paul is good but, ya know, he can never win.”
That sort of speech is the reason why he cant be elected. Because you are willing to waste your vote on a hack politician who will do whatever he needs to cull the vote, instead of the consistent and venerable Paul.

Those of us that like Ron Paul and believe in Liberty will support him. His comment was taken out of context by theblaze. No one in their right mind would think that he would want to deprive our military service people comfort during wartime. He just wants the war over with, as his he stated the troops coming home.

Those of you that absolutely Hate Ron Paul will continue to hate him, and slander him. Those that continually argue about Iran and nukes are neoconservatives. That’s the definition of a neocon – a person hell bent on nation building and controlling the actions of other nations – constant paranoia over possible/potential happenings/fears in the future, and be-damned the constitution if it causes interference w/ the Sacred cows (e.g.) militarism/Israel/war. I don’t expect neoconservatives to support Paul, because their primary concern is not America at home, but America abroad. The neoconservative cause is the Israel first cause, not the America first. Who here will support our homeland first? I only see one man who won’t compromise on America first, and it’s Ron Paul.
      .
Paul will continue gaining more support and all the other globalists/neoconservatives will continue eroding each other. They are scared because Paul is within four points of Romney for second place. Once Romney drops another 5% upon another candidate entering the race or a drop in support, it’s SHTF time for the neocons and fake big government tea-partiers w/ Paul at 14-18%.

Ron Paul as POTUS would be as big of a mistake for America as Obama was. If people would only do their research and not simply go by what some paulbots said on a RP for president forum, you would find some interesting information that people don’t want to talk about.
For instance… Did you know Ron Paul is the favorite candidate of Anarchists? Yep. For the inside scoop I suggest you start by studying Libertarian ideology in-depth. Then jump to studying Anarchy ideology in-depth. You will find that they share a lot of views. And when the first Paulbot says “but Paul is a Republican” simply laugh it off. Everyone knows that RP is a pure Libertarian and files as a Republican as a convenience only. In a private conversation he will tell you he hates Republicans.
Anyway, stop listening to the paulbots and start doing your own research. Then the true Ron Paul comes to light.
Oh, just for fun… did you know that the far-far-left group Code Pink supports Ron Paul?

This is crazy. sorry Okie I cant have a conversation about things with you’re degenerate peers shouting eveything down like a bunch of union thugs. I cant say I dont have your passion, but not in that capacity.

I think the fight is against the UNAMERICAN liberal ideologe. You cannot comprismise on agendas with the liberal Idealogue because its based in lies and deceit. The truth has no agenda and I beleive that. That will nevr change and you Ron Paul people are causeing a rift in the rebublican base.

My issues with Ron Paul are not huge issues but they are passonate issues to me. He just happens to have a lot of the other qualities that I like as well. Everytime I come in here to see what people say its the same thing time and time again. It just so happens yall came out in mass on this post (Wonder Why) to shout everyone down like union thugs.

I mean the first post was smearing ALL of the canidates in the republican party like they were the plague. All of the comments being spun to press a talking point that not only Ron Paul people use but the LIBERAL people picked up on too. I wouldnt have a problem if I felt that you were being fair in your assertations, but I have looked into these things and they are just not true or spun in a monnor which leads to untruthfulness.

      @Integrity

We, you and I, can converse anytime. We have the integrity to do so. Some Ron Paul supporters are passionate and I will tell you it is reactionary to the attacks against Ron Paul year after year by “Conservatives”. This is no excuse, but simply reality.

I ask you to understand Libertarianism is the base core belief of Conservatives. Ronald Reagan tells us this.

In 07-08 when America “woke up”, where exactly was the Republican party standing, right of anarchy, center, left of center, or far left?

I contend and saw them as left of Center, progressed to almost full progressivism. Bush is prime example of Republican Progressive.

So, to Libertarian’s, the actual base a Conservative stands, those in the Republican party are almost all Progressive.

Ron Paul holds a true conservative view. The others on stage hold a progressive conservative view. That is truth and a lot do not want to hear it or face that fact.

I understand your frustration. Face the reality the Republican party progressed and in doing so those seeing themselves as Republicans progressed as well. We will only change the country by stopping the progression and standing up for what a true conservative is. This is how you fight the liberal agenda. Hold your party accountable. Something to ponder. Have a great night.

I‘m guessing that you’re concerned about Iran getting nukes because you think that our having nukes isn’t enough of a deterrent to Iran ever using a nuke on us or our allies (Israel)…

What does that say about us that we have nukes but no one thinks we’ll ever use them in self defense?

I’m not speaking for Ron Paul here – I just happen to think that we spend far too much blood and treasure trying to be the world’s policeman – yet when we go into another country we don’t go in to win – we only go in half-heartedly, while the other side is playing to win. There’s nothing half-hearted about suicide bombers – they’re fully committed to their side. What if we pulled back from others’ conflicts but actually said, “If you attack us or our allies, we will use every resource we have at our disposal to make damned sure that never happens again – including the use of our nuclear capability.” I think if others knew we would leave them alone in their countries but God help them if they mess with ours – they’d be a lot more respectful. It’s the old “An armed society is a polite society” argument… The problem is that since Vietnam, no one takes us seriously enough because we don’t use every resource at our disposal to win and then return home.

Anarchists favor Ron Paul because he’s a staunch free market Capitalist – as were our Founders.

      See here.

      Federalist Papers #10
      http://constitution.org/fed/federa10.htm

” As long as the reason of man continues fallible, and he is at liberty to exercise it, different opinions will be formed. As long as the connection subsists between his reason and his self-love, his opinions and his passions will have a reciprocal influence on each other; and the former will be objects to which the latter will attach themselves. The diversity in the faculties of men, from which the rights of property originate, is not less an insuperable obstacle to a uniformity of interests. The protection of these faculties is the first object of government. From the protection of different and unequal faculties of acquiring property, the possession of different degrees and kinds of property immediately results; and from the influence of these on the sentiments and views of the respective proprietors, ensues a division of the society into different interests and parties.”

      Federalist Papers #10

“The influence of factious leaders may kindle a flame within their particular States, but will be unable to spread a general conflagration through the other States. A religious sect may degenerate into a political faction in a part of the Confederacy; but the variety of sects dispersed over the entire face of it must secure the national councils against any danger from that source. A rage for paper money, for an abolition of debts, for an equal division of property, or for any other improper or wicked project, will be less apt to pervade the whole body of the Union than a particular member of it; in the same proportion as such a malady is more likely to taint a particular county or district, than an entire State.”

This is true. However, it is the Republican Party that has left Republican values, not Ron Paul.

      Example:

      My Challenge to Mark Levin
      http://www.lewrockwell.com/woods/woods168.html

“Incidentally, I was amused to see, in the comments section beneath Levin’s piece, several of Levin’s followers assume I must be a “liberal revisionist” historian because I hold the constitutional view of presidential war powers. The traditional conservative position, as Russell Kirk and others made clear, recoiled at a strong and independent executive, a fact that years of neoconservative reeducation of the masses has done much to obscure. I suppose Senator Robert Taft, known in his day as “Mr. Republican,“ was likewise a ”liberal revisionist” for making, in 1950, the very same arguments I am advancing against Levin today?”

The definition of the word anti-semitism was changed in 2002 from the original definition of 1956. It was defined (summarizing here) as hatred of the jews as a people. In 2002 they added to that- opposition to zionism, and sympathy for the opponents of Israel. This is from the official jewish dictionary. So basically if you don’t agree with us and hate whoever we do then you are a racist(anti-semite, terrorist, extremist) Who does that sound like? Ron Paul: “Those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land”

And you want this guy as President?

225 years before this happened. Are we to summarize based on Paul’s theory we were in their holly waters or are we to listen to the real reason why. When the enemy speaks STFU and listen,

But one cannot get around what Jefferson heard when he went with John Adams to wait upon Tripoli’s ambassador to London in March 1785. When they inquired by what right the Barbary states preyed upon American shipping, enslaving both crews and passengers, America’s two foremost envoys were informed that

“it was written in the Koran, that all Nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon whoever they could find and to make Slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

Ambassador Abd Al-Rahman did not fail to mention the size of his own commission, if America chose to pay the protection money demanded as an alternative to piracy

The level of tribute demanded began to reach 10 percent of the American national budget, with no guarantee that greed would not increase that percentage, while from the dungeons of Algiers and Tripoli came appalling reports of the mistreatment of captured men and women.

@Okie…Do you recall a while back that Glenn hired some woman who worked at a Liberal news media to work for him because she thought it would be “interesting.” So while Glenn is off doing his Dallas show, the fox is in with the chickens, or so that’s what I have been perceiving. If you will notice, certain postings of web addresses just dissappear into thin air, and these are things that actually aired on Fox. I am thinking that there is a liberal agenda here now. It may be a little more suttle, but just what can be gotten away with. The libs are certainly against Sarah and Ron and even the traitors Laura Ingram and Ann Coulter. It is disturbing that so many conservatives are so blind. It’s no wonder that the NWO has us on a skateboard to hell. Conservatives prefer to keep their eyes closed while the Liberals are quite successful..Disgraceful!

I love how all the “conservatives” on this site…and running for Pres, love to talk about constitutional limits to government until it applies to foreign policy. Stop atacking Ron Paul and his supporters. Whether or not you agree with him, he is the only cantidate that makes a constitutional argument for every one of his positions/platforms even when unpopular. You may not agree with his interpertation of the constitution, but the only time your cantidate even brings up the constitution is when it furthers his/her purposes. Wake up! Ever wonder why both parties feel the same when in power, because they are! Perry is a Dem converted to a Rep by a HUGE government Rep. Romney and Huntsman are RINOS. THE ONE CANTIDATE BOTH PARTIES AND THE MEDIA HATE, IS RON PAUL. That tells me his doing alot of things right. As a parting thought, look at every cantidate’s record and ask yourself who has been the most consistent throughout his/her whole carreer. The answer is clear. Ron Paul 2012!

Bush was a New World Order man , although it slowed down on his watch . Perry is a liberal, much like McCain only running under the Republican guise. He was actually a Democrat who just changed voter registration, not ideas. Before you bash Paul…you ought to at least look at his site ..it will tell you of Perry’s accomplishments. You need to be informed. This is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.

It is just one more brick in the wall of the police state being built around us. If you read history you would see the wisdom in what he said, especially in regards to a crumbling government raping the people and holding them captive to drain every last cent they hold. A government with a dying economy and collapsing financial system is the greatest danger there ever has been to the freedom and property of the people.

ONLY executives, generals, and big shots live in the green zone. The TROOPS are 100% in tents in the desert, with no air conditioning. Ron knows what is going on. Cutting off the executive’s AC will dilute their enthusiasm to exploit this country.

You’re wrong, in my post, below, I mention my husband living in the bombed out parking garage. That was in the Green Zone. His second year there, he lived in a dormitory and did have AC, it kept his room at a chillin’ 95 degrees Farenheit. Woo hoo! The AC is NOT going to change a darn thing. He spent time in Bosnia in a tent that was a whopping 48 degrees with heat, and wasn‘t too bad if you didn’t mind the mud floor and leaky roof and walls. The military doesn’t just operate where things are comfortable, they go where they are needed regardless of climate or comfort. Ask a Vietnam Vet how the jungles were for comfort, or the men in Panama, or the fellows in the trenches in WWI and WWII. Wake up people! Even if you don’t agree with the mission, you need to understand that the military is not driven by where they will find the most comfort. If they were, their missions wouldn’t be in swamps, jungles, deserts, in the freezing winter, or the blazing heat. They would all take place from their homes, on their couches, with their feet propped up and someone serving them dinner and fine beverages, with family around them, and friends to support them.

He didn’t mean literally take the A/C . He was making a point of cost. Saying they would come home without A/C was dry humor. And of course MSNBC gave him the least amount of air-time, and asked him the least pertinent questions.

@stuck–dude.Michelle did well? you must have fell asleep, she did aweful, clearly she is out. Paul did not need to dazzle, people know where he stands, check his record. Plus you dont have to agree with every point or argument paul makes, but out of all the candidates he is the only one who will follow the constituition to the point when he enacts his priorities. THIS SHOULD BE THE TIPPING POINT FOR ALL CONSERVATIVES, he is the only candidate that can be trusted with the constituition, none of the others can, that alone is the key folks. Time to recognize that and Beck and all conservatives who value the constiitution should not be blind to this. Ron Paul 2012.

He meant save that money on A/C by bringing the troops home. This guy is nuts enough without having to take him out of context.

“That Man” is the only one who truly understands, votes, and has stood by the constitution in it’s intended fashion. I hope you are not suggesting Perry, the one during the same debate who said (explaining his dictator-like ruling on his mandatory vaccines) said…”I will always ‘err on the side of saving lives”. If it is going to “save lives” (i can think a lot of things that can be spun to fit that) he will do it…ends justify the means?

Yes, thank God he will never be president, but when he becomes a spoiler running as an independent, he will siphon enough votes from the conservatives to put OBummer back in the WH. And he will be totally fine with that. Take AC from politicians in Washington DC before the troops. You can be for the constitution and still support the troops. RP is an a$$

I would rather vote with dignity for someone I believe in knowing there is no chance than to play the “political game” and damage my character by voting for someone I think is going to win. I will stand by my beliefs and convictions before “playing the game”. If I don’t I am no different than the corrupt politicians I am fighting against.

If you are insinuating that I don’t agree that all the candidates (with the exception of Romney) would not be better than Obama, you are sadly mistaken. I would take any of the candidates up there (with the exception of Romney he‘s the same as far as I’m concerned) over Obama. Given the choices, the only one who truly stands up for the constitution (which is the only issue I am concerned with) is Ron Paul. If he is running, that is who I am voting for, regardless of the odds. Your comment concerning voting for Obama doesn’t even imply a valid point or make any sort of sense if you understood my comments. And no I didn’t vote for Obama in 2008.

Cutting off the Air-Conditioning in the White House will get the Obama’s out of there.

Closing the White House Buffet will also help our cause.

Yeah, this puzzles me. Romney was a business man. I don‘t know what he thinks he’s talking about & plans to accomplish with China on the trade war & currency valuation tough talk. He should know better.

I guess it’s like the RomneyCare that he stubbornly refuses to admit was 1) a good experiment, 2) on the state vs. federal level as it should be, & 3) an abject failure.
